I'm really happy with the current state of official canon Eggman because absolutely nothing about him has changed. he continues to be the same evil diabolical charming lovable bastard I fell in love with 🥰💜 my irrational fear of them suddenly changing that gets smaller by the day and I'm glad I can look forward to things and enjoy without fear or negativity bringing me down

the more I step away from fandom the better I feel too. I actively dodge random people's opinions now hard as I can, if they're not my friends' or lovely followers/lurkers', it's of no concern to me. it will never taint my view of or lose my passion for the game canon and the real Eggman I see there. they can have their vastly different fanon, game canon Eggman is always there for me to love and enjoy and that hasn't changed at all!
