i wonder what you call this thing when you dream?? say for example you get a dream today that has a certain plotline, then a year later you're in that same setting again with the same people except time has clearly passed, and then the next year, and then the next... long story time in tags

for the record i don't lucid dream, i can not do that even if i tried, dream me seems aware that i dreamt of it a few years ago so it feels ~familiar~ but it never truly sinks in that wherever i'm at is just a dream, so no i cannot lucid dream

#it's so odd?? i have a few of these #one of them happens every april-ish where i participate in a contest and i always am right at the cut off of winners #and everytime i am like #“next year... i will...!!!”#knowing full well that i lost in the dream last year and i might lose again next year #another dream i have every year is around may #where i am in a mall with these two other people i don't know #the first may i dreamt it #we were just shopping and then right as we stepped out of the mall the mall explodes #it was bombed #AND the next may i dreamt of it as we were leaving the mall dream me had this deja vu that smth bad is gonna happen #so i told my companions to run and sure enough the mall exploded again #BUT this time we were farther from the mall when it exploded compared to the first may #and in the next mays.. dream me becomes aware of the catastrophe mid shopping so we look for clues within the mall #every may there are MORE clues but it always ends up blowing up #it's pretty crazy #also a few years ago i had this dream where i didnt wanna go to class so i skipped to the old school library #it's empty save for these two people #then we kinda just hung out there a lot #i dreamt ab the same thing a few days ago except they seemed older?#they were like “you havent dropped by for a long time”#and i was like yeah a lot has been going on #and i kinda felt distant with them compared to the dream a few years ago? I DONT EVEN KNOW THEM LOL #the kicker is whenever i am in the dream i remember all the details from the past dream #hence being able to continue solving the mall bombing case even tho it's kinda like a time loop #BUT when i wake up idk shit
