i just want to find one fucking youtube channel about mysterious internet puzzles and historical ciphers that doesnt just take a hard turn into racism when im five videos in
#messages from the ouija board#i came here to find out more about the cicada puzzles and weird medival manuscripts full of riddles#but then someone is always like 'now our next mysterious thing is from ancient egypt'#and im like maybe this time its like a papyrus thats encoded but the patterns dont make linguistic sense and its mysterious???#and it isnt! its always an ancient aliens thing!!!#or the one channel that was like 'heres a vid about ancient books w creepy backstories' and im like yes cool thats my thing#and the third on the list was the necronomicon#and they fucking acted like it was legit a book that howard the shithead found and ~its real~#and kept talking about the supposed author like hes not just a ball of islamophobic stereotypes#like there isnt an ~ancient being~ in that book that straight up has the n word in its name#idk why that one made me angrier than the ancient aliens things bc theyre all bad#i think its bc we're from the same neighborhood so i always feel a little bit of personal responsibility for him#like he has brought shame to college hill and im pissed about it
