So my bestie in Cyber (a different section of the same org) who is a team leader gave me some excellent goss (he gets regular intel from their big boss, and their team is so much smaller so the gap between position levels is much smaller. He also just loves to share internal politics) about the hiring process behind the round i was just a part of and i dont even know how to spill because its so public service you wouldnt believe.
#the educator team who have the same big boss as cyber do what we do but to teachers and other educators instead of kids#they have mega funding and had at least one ongoing position and one 5year contract and one unknown third position#they were MEANT to get first dibs since the best candidates are offered the longest postings#but my teams big boss said no way#so even though my teams positions are only about a year and a half two years tops they got first pick#most of our team interviewed and made up most candidates#and super awkwardly barely anyone was found suitable to even be merit listed#even the people who are currently in the 5 position eho have been at it for 6 months or more on back fill didnt get merit pooled#so me and my work bestie zoe got two of the positions in ny team#another work friend from my team got an educator role#and so far we know NO ONE ELSE in my team who was even merit listed out of about 15#and im a bit annoyed that educators didnt get first dibs like they were meant to becausr that might have meant more job security for us#and also id love to work with baby teachers#anyway i am so excited and curious and wary and interested to see how this plays out#oh also our team hired 2 new people on short contracts assuming theyd fill gaps from this round which is going to be necessary#but also the woman who got the 5 year postinf cant start for 6 months?!?!? because my teams big boss doesnt want her to go yet???#i gotta get more deets
