Marius is so very character to me. I snort whenever he says these cliche heroic things. As my friend said- most of the things he said are very paladin core. And i havent seen enough of eom to be sure about this but i interpret these things as some sort of masking if i can call it that? Performing to cover up his past, repeating the same phrases hes heard from those he considers true heroes. Being a true knight only because his performance is so polished.
