hi so I originally rambled this in the comments but a) i rambled more than 1 comments worth and b) IT DELETED MY SECOND ONE SOBS so im just gonna reblog and ramble here instead I am sorryfor clogging your notifs 😭

I feel 2 or 5 would be good opportunities to practice backgrounds/framing (i forget the term) and good pieces to show improvement. 5 especially for the latter because while I do think the visual impact is already good, I can definitely see how something potentially more dramatic could REALLY emphasise how small Hilda seems in comparison to the jagged and harsh inside of the cave littered with bells, with the stark contrast of the more vibrant colours of outside's light with the dark duller interior.

While 2 I feel could be a good exercise for backgrounds and, with similar enhanced framing, could also really exceed the original. It could emphasise the mountain or hill Hilda (hehe hillda) is standing upon, and how the forest is far below it and far away. A deep and long look out upon the miles and miles of forest, as she stands besides a solitary tree rooted within this part of the mountain, gazing out at the land, stood in the sunset. The lighting also I feel could be something that, again while I think its already good, I feel like there could really be a way to like EMPHASISE the sunset, and help the piece pop visually, perhaps even with a contrast of the forest being shadowed over by the mountain she's on. Idk just spittballing, but I think with the 2nd piece, again I wanna emphasise I think it looks amazing already, it would be a great show of improvement for backgrounds, lighting and (less so but still there) framing.

These are just my personal picks because I feel these two pieces have a lot more going on visually (not that the others don't!!!) that could be a really good show of your improvement and progression in your art over the last 3-4 years, and they already are visually appealing and impactful!! So I think it would be amazing to see how they could be even COOLER :DD

AGAIN I wanna really say I love the orignal pieces and I don't mean to like hate on them or anything. I'm just kinda spitballing why I think they would be amazing picks for redrawing, and why. This is just my personally opinion on which pieces could really be the coolest but I figured it was worth giving my two cents :D and either way I'm sure whatever you decide to redraw will be amazing!!!
