can i be a liiiiittle bit mean and say that part of why im not trying to make future trio polycule hard canon in starfallverse is because im sorta turned off from how celebi gets treated…….

i feel like in most fanon depictions, shes really only there out of obligation cause she crushes on grovyle in canon and she joins grovyle and dusknoir in the final se5 dungeon. and grovyle/dusknoir are the real stars

and i get that she has the least development out of the trio in the games (which i also think se5 couldve done better with btw) and people may just feel they dont have enough to work with, but idk… it puts kind of a bad taste in my mouth. like shes only there to be set dressing for the m/m ship and if it werent for fandoms encouraging polyam shipping over love triangles in today’s climate, she’d be cast aside without a second thought
