every time i see someone say “proshipper dni” they always mean. like. very specific ships from very specific fandoms theyre in. like they dislike certain ships that you can argue are morally objectionable from a certain perspective so they put it under the umbrella term of “proshipper” like im supposed to know wtf theyre talking about.

likewise every time i see someone say “antishipper dni” it’s always because they like very specific ships from very specific fandoms they’re in. and other ppl in the fandom don’t like the ships that they do so instead of saying what specific ships they don’t want to argue about they just say “no antishippers” like im supposed to know wtf that means.

like babygirl vaguing ppl like that is only if you dont want them to know youre talking about them. just say you like/dislike certain ships/types of ships and ppl who disagree with you can take the hint or get blocked it’s okay.

#shut up pandora #for example this is vaguing! i saw a few ppl with these kinds of dnis who are very into fandom #and they just automatically assume everyone has the same concept of what a pro and anti shipper is #which no one does and this is more of a spectrum than one hard line but also #most of the time when someone takes a side they always have like #specific ships that they hate or love and will die on that hill #and if they really ship something that other ppl hate theyll say theyre a proshipper and all antis are awful and bad and whatever #even though thats really just pro specific ship #and if they hate seeing a ship theyll say theyr an antishipper and all proships are awful and bad and whatever #even though again! thats just anti specific ship #and every once in a while someone has a really nuanced take on how ppl ship stuff/consume media that i really like #and then theyre like 'and this is why proshipper/antishippers are bad and awful and are causing the downfall of society'#and the thing they say have literally been talk points by both sides #ppl who call themselves proshippers are incapable of considering that ppl who call themselves antishippers are capable of coherent thought #and vice versa #my side is intelligent and well spoken and have reasonable views that are well debated #your side is just pedophiles/fascists #very standard internet stuff i guess just very annoying
