#and if they are aftons i also wouldn't rule out vanessa NOT being an afton (at least not biologically)

a longer post on the subject but i firmly believe that in the sequel(s) the schmidts and the aftons will be revealed to have been connected in some way prior to garrett's kidnapping / murder. whether its bc they're aftons, they're the movie version of the emilys, or some combination thereof, idk, but they've gotta have a link.
william operates around freddy's locations. he even deliberately sends mike to freddy's in order to kill him + abby instead of just killing them anywhere. but he travels to a completely different state in order to take and kill this singular random child? in the games, even the one kid killed outside of freddy's (charlie) is still directly outside of freddy's, and has another connection to him through henry. but garrett? seemingly random.
then he recognizes mike, the circumstances of which just confirm my belief that there's some connection. first he needs to know garrett's last name, and that he had a brother named mike. which okay, still makes me :-/ but not 100% impossible. maybe he interrogated garrett before killing him or smth idk. but then how does he succesfully recognize the two mike schmidts as being the same mike schmidt?
"mike schmidt" is a very generic name and they're in a completely separate state than his encounter with the last mike schmidt, but he's caught off guard after simply reading his name. after recognizing the name, he squints as mike, presumably trying to connect the child mike from nebraska to the grown man mike now, and based on how he operates after this he does recognize him, but how? we don't even know if william ever saw mike in nebraska. if he did, it wasn't for any significant amount of time, and it was years ago. i sometimes have a hard time recognizing childhood photos of my own family members, and im supposed to believe that william recognizes the grown adult version of a child he had little to no interaction with in a completely different state at least a decade ago?
presumably vanessa told william what mike told her about his brother, confirming to him that it's the same mike, but he knew / strongly suspected beforehand just from seeing him and reading his name!! why is the idea that they're the same mike even a possibility in his mind considering the locational difference? why did he suspect just from the name and appearance alone?? there has to be a deeper connection.

Small (665 word) segment of one of the various fics I’m working on being put on tumblr in hopes of receiving concrit and predictions because I’m a pantser and have somewhat lost motivation on this and am just generally curious about some feedback? How about that?
Anyway, Vanessa Afton and Ness the Waiter are siblings. That’s it. That’s the fic. Enjoy and warning for brief mention of blood :D
———————————————————
After a firm talk from their father about staying in the storage closet in the back of the pizzeria until he came back to get them, 'some of the animatronics may act odd while they're being taken care of, machinery is dangerous, don't touch anything that's made of metal and could possibly move on its own...' blah blah blah, the two twins were left alone on the storage room.
Vanessa frowned and side-eyed Ness. "Are you happy now?" she asked, clearly sour about being stuck where they were.
"Ecstatic!" Ness replied, not even looking at her as he examined every nook and cranny of the closet. He grabbed a broom and jabbed it into a springlock suit, looking with fascination as it snapped shut suddenly and violently.
"NESS! Dad said not to touch," she scolded.
"Did I touch it? I think not," he said as he leaned closer, still barely paying attention to her. "Dang... these things could kill someone. Easily. It's almost as though this was made to kill. Either a child or adult!"
"Then you probably shouldn't have your face less than two inches away from it," was her dry reply.
"I'm approximately three inches away. Besides, with the springlocks already activated, it's incredibly unlikely that I am in any danger at all. Even if I was, it's worth it!" Ness poked one of the springlocks with a look of glee.
"You should still step away..."
He glanced over, noticing the worry in her tone. He gave the suit a single, longing glance, before stepping away and glancing at the door. "I'm going to go check on something, stay here," Ness instructed.
"The curse of idiocy has hit you hard today, I see, you're breaking every that Dad put in place for us. Where are you even going?"
"I'm not an idiot, and I'll tell you later."
"You're stupid and I'm going with you."
"Absolutely not. Just because I'm breaking the rules doesn't mean you should. I'm older, therefore that makes me more responsible." Ness ignored Vanessa's scoff of disagreement. "I know exactly what I'm doing, besides, there's plenty of fun stuff in here!"
"You know what? It's not even worth arguing with you at this point, dummy. But either you stay here, I come with you, or I'll tell Dad later."
"You just always have to pull the 'I'll tell Dad' card, don't you?"
She shrugged. "It works. Why wouldn't I?"
"You're a little brat sometimes, you know that? But fine. You can come with me," he said with a resigned sigh. "Just stay behind and stay quiet."
Vanessa nodded, looking slightly anxious but also pleased with herself as Ness pulled open the door.
He crept through the pizzeria, all the way to the stage curtain, where he cautiously peeked through it to look out into the main room. Ness stifled a gasp as he shoved Vanessa back towards the storage closet.
"What is it? I want to see!" she whisper-yelled.
He shook his head, not seeming to be able to find words as his face contorted with a slight panic and he grabbed her hand, attempting to drag her away.
"Did the endoskeletons scare you? You can be a real baby sometimes," Vanessa taunted.
Ness shook his head again, motioning for her to hurry up.
She scoffed in annoyance and ripped her hand free from his grasp. "I'm going to go see."
"Don't!" he managed to whisper-yell as she peeked through the curtains.
Ness cringed as Vanessa let out a loud scream of terror, and then he bolted back to the storage room. Perhaps he should've gone to drag his sister back with him, but she had already been caught. It would only be worse if both of them were caught, right? He never should've let her come with him. He never should've asked that they come here. It was too late now, though, Vanessa had already seen her father holding a bloody knife over a mangled body.

Idea 3: Pizzaplex is an engineering disaster waiting to happen.
An idea that I don't see brought up at all, is the idea that the Pizzaplex is not constructed well.
Remember in FNAF 6 when the tutorial unit said this?
"There may be times when you purchase something of questionable quality, and we don't blame you. Cutting corners is just good business."
Keep this statement in mind while I bring up my next point. As someone who's taken an engineering class, when you are constructing a building, there are a VERY large number of codes (rules) that you need to follow for every conceivable part of it.
Fazbear Entertainment would probably find it a lot cheaper just to pay off the people inspecting the plex than to actually put money into making sure everything is up to code.
They would also try to construct the building as cheaply as possible, trying to "cut corners" wherever they could. They use substandard materials and contractors that don't double-check their work. They built the mall itself over the subterranean remains of their old restaurant, despite this making the ground very unstable.
This all works in my mind because Fazbear Entertainment has been proven to follow the "be as cheap as possible" and "maximize profits by any means necessary" approaches many times in the past.
Here is just one example of a code being violated, according to Section 1006.2.1.1 of Utah Building Codes, "Three exits or exit access doorways shall be provided from any space with an occupant load of 501 to 1,000. Four exits or exit access doorways shall be provided from any space with an occupant load greater than 1,000." We only see 2 public exits in the game, and the Pizzaplex likely holds well over a thousand people at any one time. What's worse is that one of the exits, the only one designated for emergencies, requires a VIP pass in order to be used.
If Fazbear Entertainment is willing to do this to cut costs, who knows what else they have done?
It's why, in my mind, I don't have Gregory live at the pizzaplex after the 3-star ending. Freddy would calculate that it is statistically safer for Gregory to live in his box than at the plex. He instead lives with Vanessa, creating opportunities for them to grow closer.
BTW This has happened in real life, even down to the shoddy construction and profit maximization. It was the Sampoong Department store collapse. Link
Oh yeah absolutely, like even without the murder animatronics or actual murderer Fazbear's definitely had a whole lot of accidents in other establishments bc of their "low spending max profit" motto, I wouldn't be shocked if they didn't have multiple malls built and Afton and Vanny managed to hack the email system as shown by the unused emails so they could make it look like the higher ups demanded a new mall be built on top of the pizza sim location without demolishing anything at all which would be suspicious in any other company but Fazbear's being Fazbear's nobody batted an eye.
Honestly I'm shocked William is the only murderer that took advantage of how horrible Fazbear's is and using their habit of sweeping accidents under the rug to his advantage...
Then again with him being the co-founder of Fredbear's and founder of Afton Robotics I'm sure he was also pretty close with the ceo of Fazbear's so that can also be why they tried so hard in covering up the murders bc I wouldn't put it past them to just sell William out as soon as possible bc murders and literal corpses inside animatronics aren't exactly good for a company's image...

Is vanny up for questions if so how is afton and one for whole glamrock gang who do you dislike the most
[No, Vanny is not up for questions, even if she was, I wouldn't answer anything relating to the Afton Virus at all. Vanessa maybe. But even then, no mention of the Virus is going to be answered.]
Similar ask I got: Question for everyone! Who do you hate the most and i am guessing that sun and freddy don’t hate anyone love all of you!
Freddy: You are right about me, I do not hate anyone! There is no reason to. Of course I may dislike some people, but I don't think it is nice to share those kinds of things. It will just cause trouble and hurt people's feelings.
_______________
Roxy: Oh there's times where I absolutely HATE Monty! Especially when he's cheating at games! Oh it's so damn annoying!
Sometimes Freddy is annoying too. I don't think I ever hated him though, and he's usually pretty nice and encourages me a bit, so I wouldn't even say I dislike him all that much.
Oh, wait. Moon. I don't care for Moon. They are just... weird. I get he can't be out in light, but it's super fucking creepy to be in my room just for him to try and talk with me from the vent while he's on his way to Monty's room. Also the fact that he won't let me swear when there are no kids around, or their stupid cleaning habit. It's really just annoying.
Like Sun can be overly excitable and annoying, but that's actually FUN! And Sun only scolds you if you swear, he doesn't clamp your mouth shut like Moon does. I don't know. I just don't care for Moon too much. Probably my most disliked animatronic here.
Now, if we get into staff, wooooh! We'd be here all day with all the humans I hate!
_______________
Monty: If we're talking about anyone, then Bonnie. That fucker was a total piece of shit. And Freddy just made things worse whenever he tried to mediate our fights. I hate both of those assholes.
_______________
Chica: Oh! Uh. Let's see... I don't HATE anyone, at least, not enough for me to think of it off the top of my head... But uh, I don't really like Monty all that much.
Like, don't get me wrong! He can be really nice and fun to hang around with! But he ends up pushing people a bit too much. Especially Moon and Roxy. And he can be pretty violent at times. I know he has some anger issues, but he should really try to destroy things away from others. One time I got hit with something he broke and it shattered my eye... I think he just needs a better outlet or something, because I don't think golf is working for him. Maybe if we had a real gym with exercise equipment, or at least a punching bag, that would help calm him down a but...
_______________
DJMM: If I am being honest. It's Sun who I care the least for. The way he treats others, especially Moon, is not fair. They have his own set of rules, and if people don't follow them, then he gets upset. His solutions to problems are either ignoring them or getting rid of them to ignore. It's not healthy. Not for him, and not for anyone around him. Honestly, it feels like walking on eggshells whenever he DOES come to the arcade, and I am glad those visits are rare.
I wouldn't say I HATE Sun though. He doesn't know any better. They were never told how to properly manage their emotions, and Moon's coddling of Sun doesn't help... *sigh* Those two need more help than I could ever hope to give... Either that, or they need to be separated...
_______________
[Sun and Moon are temporarily off limits, they will be back soon!]
