I think this episode had a deleted scene of Eddie and Buck co-parenting Christopher or them talking about how Eddie and Ana had different ideas about how to treat Chris.
Especially since the whole episode was centered around parent-kid type of relationships and we've seen Christopher exactly zero times in the entire episode until that 3 seconds at the end.
Which feels very odd to me, considering what a big part of Eddie's character is that he's a single dad and how the next season literally starts with him having a panic attack about becoming a family with Ana. (And that if they're gonna pay the actors for appearances, they might as well give them some screentime to make their money's worth, right?)
I mean, it's clear that they are both referring to something specific yet we aren't shown what that is. It might've been something setting up the will and more buddie down the line, but after editing it might've came off too strong and on the nose, so they scrapped it.
(Which would then play into my other delusion that buddie was gonna go semi-canon at the end of season 6 and if so, then it might have had something to do with why Fox went and dropped one of, if not their MOST watched show(s) and biggest money maker and gave it to a rival network.)

916 words
written in: January 2019
type: AU + song fic - song: In The Next Life by Kim Petras (listen here). As for why it’s an AU, well, um, I guess you’ll see what’s different, I hope this never comes true. Everything from Barrows’ death is basically a “what if things happen this way” because even Barrow’s death hadn’t happened in RP when I wrote this.
Disclaimer: I write as Gemma Watts, Kit’s character - not mine, for quite a bit of this, and therefore I can’t claim any of this (not even the pre-speculation parts) as canonical.
I'm the greatest God created
I'm a sickness, I'm contagious
Wincing, Gemma rubbed at her broken wrist. Don't think about the forest. Was Penny saying something to her? She hadn't been listening. Don't think about Pennington. She forced a smile, nodding along as Penny talked about the newest book she had read. Don't think about the Whomping Willow. Don't think about it. Smile and nod. Keep smiling and nodding. Don't think about how Gemma had been the one to throw a dead body of one of her classmates into the tree, how she was a witness to a murder, how she was in the Vindication, now, whatever it is. She'd think about it later. She had the whole summer to think about what had happened and what the fuck she had gotten herself into. She just had to get through this train ride first.
I'm a demon, power trippin'
On the mission, and vindictive
"Just one shot," Gemma had told Oliver. One shot towards the head and Murray would be gone. Accidents like that happened all the time in Quidditch games Gemma had read about. Quick and easy. Oliver was a good Beater, really good, he wouldn't miss, especially since Gillian would be there to help with her wand. Just one shot. Snap her neck. Not worth losing sleep over. If nobody else in the Vindication was going to actually try to think of a plan to kill Murray, she'd be the one to do it, just like she had been the one to throw Samuel Pennington's body into the Whomping Willow.
First time in my life, I (First time in my life)
I'm not afraid (I'm not afraid)
First time I remember feeling anything, anything (anything)
Barrows was dead. She was dead, killed because of Ira, just like Samuel Pennington had been, just like Alis Murray had been. The one person who had believed in Gemma was gone. She crumpled up the letter, not quite sure what she was going to do. She knew she had to do something - she was itching for action, she had to do something, it was all Ira and Fawley’s fault -- the Vindication. It was like a lightbulb went off in her head and she paused, biting her lip as she thought, her hands shaking in anger. She might die, but suddenly she didn’t care. She wasn’t scared. She knew what she had to do.
There's no turning back now (There's no turning back)
I can't be saved (I can't be saved)
And in the next life they'll remember me, remember me
Ira’s harsh grey eyes were looking at her in anger - right through her - and she suddenly knew he knew what she had done. She glanced towards Hadrian - he looked a bit pale, and looked away when she made eye contact with him - and then towards Gillian, but she was staring intently at her slightly chipping nail polish. Oh. So everybody knew. She closed the door to the attic behind her. She could try to run, or overpower Ira - but her chances were slim. It was too late. She let out a small breath of air, summoning her courage. She didn’t regret what she had done. Her wand was in her pocket and she reached for it.
She wasn’t quick enough.
Oooh
They'll remember me
Oooh
You'll remember me
Oliver’s arm was around Penny as they stood in the graveyard. It was very cold and a light snow was falling on the ground. She couldn’t feel her fingers and her tears were frozen to her cheek. She read the epitaph on the gravestone for what felt like the millionth time, the words getting burned into her brain.
Gemma Watts, 1997-2010
You’ll remember me
“‘You’ll remember me’,” Oliver read aloud, his voice cracking. “Do - do you know why that was chosen?”
Penny shook her head.
They stood there in silence for another couple of minutes, Oliver holding Penny, both of them grieving.
Penny cleared her throat. “The - the group. The tattoo of the group we’ve been looking at all year. I - I saw the tattoo at - at her funeral. On her wrist.”
Oliver’s eyes widened. “What do you mean on her wrist? On Gemma’s wrist?” When Penny nodded, he stepped backwards, running his hand along his face. “You mean - she was a part of -” He glanced towards the gravestone.
“I don’t know,” Penny responded, turning back, her voice catching in her throat. “I - I didn’t tell anyone. I didn’t know what to think.” She paused. “Maybe - maybe she was. I mean - who knows. I - she was my girlfriend, Oliver, she was Gemma, I loved her - but now I’m thinking I didn’t even know her.” She shook her head as all the thoughts plaguing her for the last two months came spilling out. “We don’t know how she died. Wh - what if it was Mansfield, like with Fawley? Was she spying on the Alliance or the other group? What if she did something - what if she got in trouble somehow?” She shook her head. “I don’t know,” she repeated from earlier, stepping forward and placing a bouquet of anemones on the grave. “But I’m going to find out. This is history - history happening in real time. And Gemma’s a part of it, somehow. I’ll make sure of it. They’ll all remember her,” she said firmly, her eyes welling up with tears again.
Oliver gave her a hug from behind and they stood in quiet, the snow falling onto their tear-streaked cheeks.
