"Stop complaining and get on with it, Max."

GP's voice is tinny through the earpiece Max is wearing, carefully disguised as an earring, but there's no mistaking his stern tone. Max has heard it enough times to probably be able to dream about it. She probably has already.

"I still don't know why Alex couldn't do this!" she complains, one last time, just for show. She's already walking towards the doors of the mansion, smiling at the disinterested bodyguard at the door hoping nobody can see the way she's gritting her teeth at the uncomfortable feeling of having to walk on heels.

She doesn't get an answer, but she knows what it would be. Apparently, she's exactly the millionaire's daughter's type. Lucky her. Can't wait to spend a couple hours flirting with someone just to be able to get her fingerprints for the access to the vault!

At least the food looks great. She's not allowed to drink, even if she does accept some champagne for show, but she ignores GP's pointed huff and eats two canapes. Perfectly flaky and butter, better than whatever sandwiches they will be eating in the van. Take that, Alex!

She still contemplating the option of licking her fingers in a ballroom full of fancy rich people, when her eyes lock in on the figure of the woman she's supposed to be charming tonight, entering the room in a gorgeous red dress.

And yeah, Max can admit Daniel is beautiful. She has perfect curls and a perfect smile and wide brown eyes, and if this was an anonymous club somewhere in the city, Max would probably try to hit on her out of her own free will. But she doesn't like being stuffed in a dress, with way too much cleavage, and being told to flirt. She used to be paid to hit people, not to charm them! Where has society ended up to?

She catches the movement of Daniel's head just in time to turn around, letting her eyes glide over her back, hearing the crackle of the earpiece just a second before GP start talking.

"Okay, she has seen you and she's walking your way. Please, Max, try to act properly this time."

"If you don't know what to say, just bend over and show her your boo..." Alex's comment gets cut off, as GP probably shoves him away from the radio. Max burns with the repressed desire to talk back.

She follows Daniel's movements through the room from the corner of her eye, always pretending to be looking somewhere else, so she's not surprised when a hand lands gently on her arm, but she still pretends to be.

"Sorry, didn't mean to startle you!" Daniel's voice is bright, carrying a smile in every syllable, and suddenly Max's task feels a little easier.

Talking to Daniel is easy. Dancing with her, even if it's a stupid waltz, both of them giggling and stumbling along, is even easier. Getting her fingerprints is a child's play. Leaving her, though.

If Max wasn't working, she would be asking Daniel to go home with her. Or well, for Daniel to take her upstairs in one of the many bedrooms this big ass house has, and let Max eat her out until she cries.

But she's working, and she's damn good at her job, so when Daniel is being whisked away by someone else, she discreetly makes her way towards one of the garden doors and slips away.

As soon as she's out of view, she slips her heels off, stuffing them in a bush. Better being barefoot and risking to impale herself on a rusty nail than taking one more step in those things. And why the hell did she have to wear a fucking thong? Never again.

"Next job, Alex is wearing the thong," she mutters as she slinks through the shadows, taking the long way around to the other side of the house.

"And I'll look great in it!"

Max can almost hear GP rubbing his forehead in frustration.

"Can you spot the right window?" he asks, as if Max is a rookie or something.

"Yeah, GP, I can spot the right window," she grumbles, as she tries to make her dress stay in a position that won't make her fall to the ground while she's climbing the pergola.

Well, if anyone comes around, she will have bigger problems than someone seeing her ass in a thong.

She's sweating a little when she finally reaches the window Alex had left unlocked earlier in the day, when he had been in the house under the guise of a catering person, but she hauls herself in without a sound, landing on plush carpet.

Now, she only has to walk through the hallway and get to the vault, get the documents they need and get out of there.

And never see Daniel again.

She refuses to think about the tug in her chest at the thought.

"Hallway is clear," GP's voice is quiet but sure, and Max doesn't question it, opening the room's door and walking into the hallway. The vault's room is just three doors down, and she makes her way there quickly, knowing she won't have much time to pick the lock and then work the vault before security makes the rounds.

She's already taking pins out of her air and getting them into the lock when her earpiece crackles again.

"Max? What are you waiting for?"

"I am at the door, what do you mean?" she asks, still working away, willing her hands to stay steady even as her nerves pick up.

"I don't see you." Ice runs in her veins, her instinct flaring even before her brain can catch up with the implications of GP's words. "We don't have cameras! Max get out."

The lock gives exactly as GP finishes speaking and Max swings the door open.

A second later, there's a gun pointed at her forehead.

"Hello, Maxy," Daniel smiles. Her red dress looks bloody in the shadowy room. "And here I was, thinking we had something."

Max stands very very still. Her earpiece crackles again, but no words come through. She doesn't know if it's because GP thought better than to speak in this moment or if Daniel has taken control of that too.

Max knows she's fucked. She doesn't know why Daniel is standing here with a gun instead of calling for security, but she knows it won't be long before she's either shot or taken down in some other way. Her heart is a terrified bird in her chest. Her hands don't shake.

"What are you doing, Daniel?" she asks, as if they were still downstairs eating canapes, instead of in a dark office, a loaded gun between them.

Daniel is still smiling. There's something hungry about her that she had been concealing before.

"Max," GP's voice is very quiet and very steady, "we think she's trying to steal them too. Either for herself or someone else. You can still work this."

Max takes a step forward.

The gun is now a cold touch against her forehead, but she ignores it, reaching forward to brush her hands against Daniel's clothed hips, feeling herself smile.

"I really like this dress," she says, voice low, letting her rasp come through. She can see Daniel's confusion clear as day, but the gun stays steady.

"Are you going to say it would look better on the floor?" Daniel raises one perfect eyebrow, but her smile changes, a different kind of hunger in it.

"You can keep it on if you'd like, I can work around it."

This makes Daniel laugh, the usual big, loud sound tamped down.

"What are you doing, Maxy?" she asks.

The gun is on Max's left temple now, shifted with Daniel's curiosity, as her arm bends and she lets herself be pulled closer.

"Hopefully, kissing you."

"Guns to your head turn you on? Naughty."

The gun is now to the side of her head, Daniel's arm bent awkwardly as their chests brush.

For a wild moment, Max considers kissing Daniel for real. Considers discarding the gun, forgetting about the documents and finding a free bedroom. For a wild moment, she considers giving in and letting her heart be soft, just this once.

Then she twists her body, knocks Daniel's hand away, takes hold of the gun and points it back at her in the span of one soundless breath.

Daniel blinks back at her, fear flickering for a moment through her surprise, followed by what Max would read as hurt if she was more foolish.

"I'm sorry," she still finds herself saying, softer than she probably should, "I would have loved making you come."

Daniel's mouth opens again, but Max can see her muscles coiling and she's not giving her the chance to be the first person to make her fail at her job.

"I hope I don't give you brain damage," she says, still way too apologetic. And then she hits her over the head with her own gun, catching her before she can crumple on the ground.

Voiceteam roundup part art

Since there´s still a couple of the round three works I contributed to that haven't been made public I figured I could make a cover art round up today. I ended up making a lot of cover art for other people's podfics and turns out I really enjoy it! I have learned so many new things in photopea, it's been great. I'll try to go in chronological order from first to last. Here goes!

I (as always) began very ambitiously (is it even a bite if it doesn't look like more than you can chew?) with this coverart:

It was quite a bit of work isolating all the hats from their background and covering the musicians on the stage in a way that looked natural by copying other parts of the background. This was also before I found out you could make a border around text in photopea so that was done by putting the same words in a slightly bigger font behind the other words and fiddling and cursing until it looked decent, I do think it's a nice effect.

Then comes this one:

This story is so beautiful. It's a moment between Max and Robin right after Starcourt where they sit and talk on the edge of an ambulance. I really wanted to show their backs, but I couldn't find any good screengrabs that would fit, so I went with this idea of the silhouettes. The robin one is actually taken from the bathroom scene and I can't remember where the Max one is taken from, just that I made sure she had the two braids in it like she has in the final Starcourt scene. I had to do so much fiddling to get their silhouettes properly shaped, because both of them had complicated backgrounds that photopea wanted to lump in with them. That is also part of why there's the slight glow around them, it softened the edges and made them more forgiving. This is probably the cover art I've ever made I am the most proud of.

I had so many ideas for this one. I'm pretty glad I ended up going with this one though. The neon lettering was harder to get to work than expected, I spent ages fiddling with that, and then making the poster fit in more with the picture and not feel stamped on took a bit too. I was really glad to find that background on pixabay since it really helped making the edges of Eddie's hair not stand out so much (that hair is a nightmare to remove background for). This one feels like a study in crucial details that no one would know that I spent so much time on, but would stand out if I hadn't spent that time.

Speaking of things I had a hundred ideas for. This one is actually the one where I worked on the most separate ideas. I think I had four beginnings on drafts that all looked wildly different plus an idea that never saw light of day because I am still suffering from the lenovo AAAA prank.

See, the thing is there is this bouquet of flowers that is absolutely central to this story and also extremely well described, so I at first wanted to include that on the cover or at least something resembling it. As it turns out when wondering the free-to-use pictures on the net that might not be as easy as that and even finding a bouquet with just about the right colourscheme turned out to be hard, and so did tuning the hues of a bouquet nicely.

In the end what decided it most of all was also having to include so many names and that I really fell in love with this specific flower mentioned in the fic.

Making the coverart for this one was mostly about learning how to manipulate the shape of text and exploring the many different colours of fire until I found the right one to pick for the text. (It's a Dutch translation of a Good Omens fic for those of you wondering)

This one, for me, ended up being an exploration in remembering what my grandma's videotapes used to look like, and yet not at all being able to find a good base image for making a more film-like tape case before going with this simple option. I do kinda enjoy making covers that seem like real things that could exist.

Aaaand last, but not least:

This one caused me trouble. Mostly because my ideas where too hard to execute and also because it's a very short fic that doesn't give many visuals. All the others are rooted in some visual from the fic, but this one is a conversation on parenting that doesn't include many visuals that I felt like vibed with the fic as a whole. So I ended up grabbing onto the fatherly aspect of it all.

This photo originally had a black background, but I felt like that would clash with the vibes, so I decided to change that, then cursed a bunch when I found out that was easier said than done, did a bunch of things that felt illegal and arrived at this little thing.

Thus ended my voiceteam cover art journey. I have really taken a liking to doing this, which maybe shouldn't have taken me by surprise since I also love illustrating songs. There's something about having text and a story and a picture all mixing together that I really enjoy. I plan to make many more, I kinda had a day where I was just itching to make some, two days after the regular rounds of voiceteam ended, but I didn't want to take any points from tie-break participants. We will see what the future brings.

So...Max...Goofy's son.

His arc is pretty brilliant when you break it down because we have this tv show, right? It's called Goof Troop where it builds up Max and his dad just being goofy together and Goofy trying to be a good parent, while Max is just vibing.

Goofy Movie comes out and oh boy! Our boy is a little older, a teenager and he's growing up. This is so far, one of the only main Disney characters that we actually get to see grow up, that's his gimmick. He's suddenly mega embarrassed of his dad and wants to be cool but doesn't want to be a goof. The movie is about finding the balance between doing what you want to do while also making room for others, in this case, your family. Not just a lesson for Max, but for Goofy as well. This is portrayed through Roxanne, who many people already know he has a crush on. She is basically like what all kids had a crush on at that age and Max acts the part. He's awkward around her but he's inexperienced, she is the perfect first girlfriend for him and that's why I don't ship them, she was developmental for him.

Extreme comes around and ok, it's a movie to try and find Goofy a love interest but it manages to do so much more. Some people may be quick to say "Hey, he learned from the first film, why is he embarrassed now?" because Goofy is coming into his realm. He's going to the same college and doing what Max should potentially be doing, it's weird and it's public enough to reflect on Max, now everybody knows who he is. So Max tries to overwrite that by doing something big and grand so that people will talk about that over his own father. TO STAND OUT!

Roxanne is no longer in this movie, partially because Goofy's love life is the main focus here, he's not out here trying to do a double date with his son. But also because Max went through drifting apart from his high school friends (except PJ and Bobby of course) we just don't see that much of it. Roxanne lives away so he only sees her every so often, they still try to make it work. So now Max is exploring different options, we see him gawking at other women throughout, he isn't sure yet what he wants.

Next is House of Mouse, where Max is a valet/waiter. This is his part-time job while he's going to college but how did he get it? His dad knows the owner, Mickey Mouse. There's an episode where he brings Roxanne of all people to the House and he's scared Goofy will try and do something but it's actually NOT Goofy, it's everybody else, it's Goofy who comes in and saves the day. But that's beside the point, that's just to say he's still dating her at this point. He learns how to drive by being the valet and wants his dad to get him his own car, no more driving dad's jalopy! This is the next part of his life after all.

Skip forward to Mickey's Twice Upon A Christmas, we see Max coming home for Christmas. Judging from the previous films, his life seemed to step in line with real time so Goofy Movie came out in 95 and Extreme was 2000, technically giving him 5 years to finish high school and get into college. Twice Upon came out in 2004, giving him another 4 years to graduate college so he's probably living on his own at this point. But he's bringing a girl home, Roxanne and him are done, this time he brings Mona. He doesn't know how Goofy will act but begs him not to embarrass him or himself but Mona sees it and she's fine with it, this allows Max to embrace it and be goofy as well. A nice turn around. But I feel Mona is a bit too mature for him, I doubt he ended up with her.

And we haven't seen him properly since. My guess is a few things, they don't want to outplay their hand with him. They don't want to overage him especially when they have characters like Huey Dewey and Louie who don't age nearly as fast but are from the same era. And they were willing to take those risks back then, now it's just whatever. Actually the last recorded reference just had to do with Goof Troop in Chip N Dale but before that was in Ducktales-

We obviously see up to Prom, where he takes Roxanne. I think Disney is fine with referencing everything up to a Goofy Movie but past that is going to be slim. I kind of just want to see him whether it continues his storyline or not but I also know that I don't want another Goof Troop or really much of any of the Disney Afternoon squad because while I like Ducktales, the most recent one is very modernized, I see the 90s as more of a style now than modern. Each part of his arc reflected the last while also progressing the one major theme which was his dad.

He learned to accept Goofy's World.

He learned to let Goofy into his world.

He learned to let other people into Goofy's world AND to embrace it.

My Eddie Munson scenarios / Theories of Stranger things 5

Joseph Quinn had recently said "when do we start shooting?" indicating that he's possibly be in the next/last season but with that being said he could also get into so much trouble for letting that slip but with my concerns a side. I just want to say that even thought he could be in the new/last season there are a lot of different ways he could be in Stranger Things 5:

He could be a vampire ( like a lot of fans guessed would be the case ) in other words Eddie does get left behide and the way the upside down works some how he become Kas and kill Vecna which also got me concern cause if that is true what would happen to Eddie once they defeat Vecna? I'm sure Eddie wont be able to survive in the regular world the town already doesn't like Eddie this would give them way more to hate him for properly calling him the true child of Satan and such (we don't care what they think). how would he's Uncle feel about him being semi alive.

Another one is he just comes in flashbacks like with Dustin, Mike,Max, and others.Which although he would still come back to the show I still hate this idea cause they did this with Billy and he didn't have one scene where it wasn't a reused scene from season 3 even if they just remade the scene. I wasn't happy with this cause they could have done something more with this if this was Max's season like they said they should have given us more like her backstory and such like what happen to her dad? did he leave or did he die in someway? I'm hoping they give us more scenes that take place before season 4 like showing us how the gang got into Hellfire Club or how Eddie and Robin truly know each other Whether that be him and her had an Eddie introduction interaction, an Robin introduction interaction, or just a hey and hi interaction.

You also have the " he didn't die he just passed out" Eddie Munson aka Eddie the Banished aka Eddie the Heroic now I know everyone is like but how could he be alive. First of all he could have an in and out moment before he "died" and we just just saw one of them, they could have even got him to the other side of the portal and he is now back to live somehow and is now hiding out until the town is told that he isn't a murder and that he is innocent. which is one that i also like.

then you have the second to last option which is also that Eddie is one of the lab kids. One of which is he turns out to be Vecna's child and they have a "Eddie, I am your father. Noooooo" moment lmao or he is just a lab kid that some how escape(which wouldn't be the first time a lab kid has escape lol like they need to do better) now there is a scene in season 4 leading us to believe he could be a lab kid which was the scene with Eddie and Chrissy meeting up in the woods if you know you know. they somehow erased his memory of being part of the lab and they gave him to his Uncle Wayne and told him to watch him kind of doing an experiment to possible see how Eddie/lab kids will be in the regular world and also see if the wiping his memeories actually worked now I say this cause he's Uncle works at "the plant" never being very specific as to what he actually does. now that Eddie is going though this world and learning and seeing that theirs more to Hawkins then meets the eye he gets his memories of the lab which also causes him to know he has powers and this is how we get interaction between Eddie and Eleven/Jane and/or possibly Kali and or other lab kids who has ran away from the labs ( if the Russians know about the upside down there is a possibility that they also have children and that Hawkins' lab isn't the only lab filled with super-abilities children) and with both of those scenarios we see Eddie Munson with super-abilities.

last option is that Eddie become Vecna's next and possibly last possession and we see him become the Villain the whole town accuses him of. We get another side of him and maybe also see him struggling in the background with watching inside his head as hes doing stuff he doesn't want to do just like Billy was, we also see the look of the gangs faces when they remember what happened in Starcourt Mall and this could end with Eddie either dead or alive

these are just some ideas as to what could be in season 5.
