Essentially, the addition of zombies adds slightly more sexism because of the addition of the need to fight zombies. Like, women are expected to lay down their weapons for their man. Collins does make a request that Lizzie retire her sword when he's talking marriage.

So, I see this as Omega Bucky/ Alpha Gale. (Whoever is the Catherine de bough equivalent is also an omega.) In the movie/book, Darcy had to kill his dad because of Wickham, so maybe Gale had to kill his mom because of the Wickham equivalent, as I don't really see Gale being close w/ his dad. His dad did raise him on traditional beliefs of what alphas should be (especially during an apocalypse) and maybe the whoever Wickham is tries to spin to Bucky that Gale was jealous of him of being the better/more desirable alpha.

(the side ship could be curt/ken bubbles/crosby Rosie/ken benny/Brady or curt/dickie) (or maybe there could be a way for most of these to be in one story)
