i need to say i haven't posted stuff in a while but i haven't stopped thinking daily about enstars, it's just health that has gotten in the way ;; especially leo. oh leo. i've fallen even deeper for leo oh gosh. actually, the last poll i made was meant to be some sort of way to,, test the waters. maybe. for a little comeback and revamp i've had prepared for ages (i even have new graphics!! yay!!)

a lot of the friends i have made in here have moved on to different things (big kiss to my enstars moots i love you) and i'm just. unsure if people do genuinely enjoy this because i have a million ideas (are they mostly knights related? maybe) and i'd like to get back into writing and doing requests but sometimes it feels a little lonely. like you're just talking to the void and hoping for a little wave back www

And I felt really ashamed about it because it felt silly and weirdly shameful or wtv but I saw you rb some stuff of Circe with your tag for her one day, went "wait is this not as weird as I'm making myself believe", saw Odysseus on your f/o list and immediately breathed like 10 sighs of relief. I know crabby Croc doesn’t want kids, but could he see it as an opportunity? I mean look at how protective basement wife is over her dog, and all that’s she’s willing to do to keep her fur baby safe.

This is also just because I’m a huge advocate for girl dad Crocodile lol! Like imagine the little outfits!

To be honest, to me he has either gotten a vasectomy 20 years ago or you're Luffy's unwilling stepmom and he isn't really planning on being a seahorse dad again😭

The thing is - you're totally right. A baby would be a lot of leverage AND bind you to him for the rest of your lives, pretty much. That thought is extremely tempting, especially to a man like Crocodile (because let's not forget that he used Robin's precarious situation and her knowledge to his advantage). Yes, you love your dumb little dog and play so nicely whenever he as much as grumbles into her direction. The things you do to placate him - god, he should have gotten you a little pet a long, long time ago. That tiny furball is definitely worth the tiny bit of additional work (and occasionally chewed up shoe) for the sheer value she provides both to you and him, it's amazing - but a child? A child is much more than that, plus, they'd be a giant vulnerability, something that could be used against him as well. Because while he's a giant piece of shit, he'd love his kid, no doubts about that. There is not only a lot of effort going into raising a child - would he keep them contained like you? If not, how does he explain this seemingly random child by his side? How would he keep them safe? Or is a baby the opportunity to finally scrape you out of the basement as well, introducing you as his wife for good? It also gives any sorts of enemies (or certain three meter tall birds) an even bigger target. In the end, it's unfortunately one of the things I really can't see for him - at least not in the basement wife context. It's simply too much hassle - and too dangerous.

(Now, if we're talking Doflamingo - that man is so laissez-faire, he might force you to abort one month and then make you keep it the next; a pet for the pet, isn't that lovely?)

2. How did you discover it or get interested in it? I was familiar with the books + the '94 film and remember hearing about the Bryan Fuller-led hulu series ages ago (given Fuller's track record it's no surprise that never manifested). But by September 2022 I'd totally forgotten there was a series in the works so all it took was levitating gay sex gifs and Jacob Anderson's face (I've been a Raleigh Ritchie fan for a long time). And the idea of a gothic romance with a black lead was very enticing. I subscribed to amc+ and the rest is history (actually it isn't, should I file a claim in the class action lawsuit against amc?)

10. What was your favorite episode of season one?  1.06! I just found an old post in my drafts basically telling everyone to remember Coline Abert's name. She’s incredible and I'm so glad she's back for s2.

Recovery, reflection, and restitution. This episode contains everything about the series that makes me crazy in top form. We have the aftermath of horrific intimate partner violence and where do we go from here? The difference in how they relate to one another as a result. Codependence abound! The further enmeshment of Louis and Claudia. The "oh-so-delicate balance of our oh-so-delicate household."

18. What’s a scene you feel is underrated? hm. It's hard for me to gauge what is/isn't underrated because I spend so much time in this relatively small echo chamber of people who have also combed the entire series top-to-toe a million times.

But I'd have to say the final moment between Louis and Grace in 1.05. The image of Louis crying over his own gravestone is so striking!

Or... Louis and Lestat greeting Florence at the beginning of 1.02. They mention going to see The Doll House afterward. I love the barbs between in-laws ("I see you have a banjo band in your front yard :(" makes me laugh every time). Florence calls Louis "fragile son" as she did Paul in the previous episode. And Louis hearing his mother's thoughts for the first time is super interesting!

35. Share a headcanon of yours. I believe that Louis was an avid reader of bodice rippers and other (un)savory romance novels from the 70s-90s. In fact, there was probably one sitting in his back pocket at Polynesian Mary's. There may not be any on those floating shelves, but it's something I know in my heart! I just feel like the thematic content would resonate with him <3

I want to thank again each and every person for reading my last comic and for your kind words, it has always been my dream to do stories like these and even though I still have stuff to learn I am truly happy that you guys like it. The past few months were pretty hard on me, I got a hand injury and I had to switch art programs after a problem with my computer, plus some personal irl stuff, so this comic actually was meant to be posted like a month ago... Anyways, this might not seem like much to some but it is for me, is the first steps for other bigger plans I have and I am satisfied with the end result; sweat, blood, tears and all...
