My opinion of Ellipsus vs Google Docs as a (very unprofessional) author after about six weeks of using it:
The default font is much prettier than Google Docs which shouldn't matter to me enough to be point number one but it does
It's not stealing my data to train an AI, hands down better than fucking Google
It worked perfectly when I was under 15,000 words but I'm writing a novel and it's a bit slower to load now I'm well over the 20k mark, this is net neutral because Google Docs does the same thing, no one understands how verbose I am
When I contacted customer about this and another glitch a REAL LIVE HUMAN BEING NAMED KATE ACTUALLY ANSWERED ME TO HELP remember this is a FREE SERVICE but I would put absolute money down that Kate is not a bot what the fuck in the year of our lord 2k24 human customer service does not exist Kate is a fucking GIFT
Kate told me that Ellipsus would run faster if In tried a browser other than Firefox and I was like "but the whole point is to avoid Google products stealing my data" and Kate told me about the Brave browser which has watered my crops and cured my acne, thank you Kate
Network effects suck, aka none of my beta readers use Ellipsus so I have to copy and paste into Google Docs for feedback, but that's the price of being a cool early adopter
the login stuff is really cool and makes it really easy to swap devices which I do a lot (that's 50% of why I don't use scrivener, I do most of my writing on my phone but then I mostly edit on my computer so I want my wip to live on the cloud)
it sometimes works offline--if it's already open and I lose connection I can keep writing but if I try to open my web browser and start writing offline it doesn't work? But I bet if I asked Kate or the community forums there is a way
Yes you can get a link to halfway through the document so my novel after this one which is a chooseable path adventure will work to write in Ellipsus, I found this out from the community forums which include a lot of helpful and sexy early adopters (early adopters are inherently sexy)
I don't like how commenting works, you can only leave comments on drafts (I think with the assumption that my beta readers are the ones commenting but this is incorrect, I am usually leaving comments for myself so I don't forget plot points), this would be okay if I had a draft version that automatically updated as the main version updated but I think the drafts are static when you make them. I don't want to manually copy new chapters over into a draft so I can leave comments on it. As I type this I realize I could just do all my writing on a "draft" version instead of the "main" version and this would solve my problem huh thanks for being my rubber duck Tumblr
If you have questions about my experience I can answer them?
Tl;dr Ellipsus is about equal to Google Docs with some benefits and some downsides. Big ups to Ellipsus on customer service and on not stealing my data to train their AI, but downside that since none of my friends use Ellipsus I'm basically forced to use Google Docs anyway to share my WIP.

Hey!!
Could I request a story about Otis where he has recently developed feelings for a new team member and hasn't told anyone but, while out with the guys one night, he gets a bit too tipsy and tells them about his crush?
The idea of him blushing the next day when he realises what he's done has been stuck in my head for days
Thanks 👍🏼
I talked too much didn't I?
Otis X F!reader
FLUFF
Summary: request
Author's note : so sorry hun for taking so long!!! I discovered an app (character AI) and it consumed me (no joking)
**English's not my first language**

(photo's not mine . from pinterest)

You are a new firefighter on firehouse 51 , so working next to Otis and the guys were a daily thing. But since the first day you arrived on 51 Otis had is mind on the moon. Completely Melted when he saw you. Did anyone knew about it? Hell nah
A certain night after a long shift the guys are all at Molly's having some drinks and some things spilled...
Herrmann was behind the bar serving drinks while the guys sat on the stalls but during the whole time the guys talked and joked, Otis was.... Off. Just sipping his beer and looking lost in his head.
"Earth to Otis" Cruz says shaking slightly Otis shoulder
"Mh, what?"Otis asked looking up to Cruz like he remembered he isn't alone
"You alright man?" Herrmann asks from behind the counter cleaning some glasses "you seem off"
"I'm alright" Otis says finishing is beer (not the first and not the last of the night)
"Are you going to drown your thoughts on alcohol?" Severide says with a small laugh
"The hell are you thinking about man? Don't tell me it's a girl" Cruz says clearly on full teasing swing
"I ... am... not... thinking of a girl ..." Otis says clearly lying and getting more tipsy by the second
The guys all look at Otis clearly seeing he's lying
"W-what?"
"Don't lie to my face man" Cruz says to his best friend
"20 bucks it's y/n" herrmann says putting a jar on top of the counter
All the guys pull of their wallet's and start putting in money
"just 5 man" Cassey says
"5 because I give this bar too much money" Mouch puts the bill on the jar
"10 by me" severide and mouch join in
"20 because I've seen how he looks at her" Cruz says putting in the money
"agreed" herrmann points at Cruz agreeing putting 20 in
Otis just grunts sipping his beer and looking away
"ugh what do y'all wanna hear?" He says still looking down at his beer
"The Truth man" mouch says clearly enjoying this scene
Otis was already tipsy and the words started flooding with so. much. easier.
"I-. Fine... She's just... Dammit she's incredible" Otis says completely admitting what's on his head and heart without taking back anything
"Y/n?" Herrmann asks
"yeah Y/N . She's... Gosh she runs in burning buildings like it's nothing. She's gorgeous, she's cute, she... shes caring and even cares about the others before her. And don't get me started on her cooking. Dam she cooks so well. The days she cooks at the station are my favorites of the week. She may not even get what I'm talking about but she'll stay there listening to it. I- ugh I just love her" Otis admits it bluntly burring his face in his hands against the counter noticing what he just said
"ask her out man" Cruz says with a chuckle clearly loving his best friend admission
Otis looks up from his hands "like she would say yes..." Burring his face in his hands again
"you are the one that said she listens to your nerdy talks. None of us can support them but she does" Cassey says
"she might just be acting nice" mouch says earning a arm slap from severide "ouch, ok I'll shut up"
"you have nothing to lose. Ask her out" severide says trying to comfort Otis
"and if she says no" Otis says looking up
Herrmann sights and moves to stand in front of Otis behind the counter "if she says no, which I don't believe, you'll be fine. But if she says yes and it goes well. You might have something good there"
The rest of the night goes like this. Until it dies down and Cruz takes Otis home because... Well, he really had a few more drinks that he should.
The next day when Otis gets to the station he doesn't remember most of the last night. But he sure knows he spoke too much
Stepping into the locker rooms he greets the team
"Hello Otis" Cruz says with his knowing smirk
"don't - don't start" Otis says clearly annoyed and hangover from last night
"can't I bug my best friend after the fire and sweet declaration of last night?" Cruz says getting up from the bench smirking
"ugh how bad was it" Otis says giving up
"to the part of saying 'i love you' and she listens to your nerdy things" Cruz says laughing
Otis just blushes and hits his head in his locker "I talked too much"
"whipped. You're whipped man" severide points out
"the hell going on here" Kidd joins in entering the locker room, unknown of what happened last night
"Why y'all looking like that? What have we lost" y/n says getting in behind Kidd
Otis just groans leaving the locker room and the guys start laughing
Me and Kidd look at each other like 'wtf'
"Did we lost something?" Y/n asks
"Nope, nothing I can think of " Cruz says still controlling his laugh
End.
Part 2? (The asking out and the date?)

Hello! I just wanted to say that I really appreciate your input on my CiFlower post and civility in handling this matter. However, I'd like to point out that this isn't the first time this artist has used AI art in an otherwise professional work.

For the piece on the left, look at the man in blue's hands, the man in red's chest under his coat, the layering of certain parts of the woman in white's outfit, etc.
For the piece on the right... well, you can look at almost anything in the image and it'll begin to look off, but a special shout-out goes out to this girl right here.

Besides, I wouldn't say CEViO would be above asking an artist to use AI for official art. Several CEViO products support NFTs (KZN, Kafu, Sekai, the Tohoku family, R/ME, etc.), so it's clear that CEViO does not support actual artists.
I'm not saying you've done anything wrong by disagreeing with me! Again, I appreciate your input, but I this is really important to me and I'd like to share. Thank you for your time!
Alright, once again no hate towards you I bet you're pretty young and not an artist so I can't fault you for thinking this way and can fully ignore this this post is more for my own benefit than yours it's a subject I've wanted to talk about for a while.
Unfortunately your examples aren't really that great if you want to convince me that they do AI art... if these hands are bad I don't even want to imagine what you'd say about mine...
Actually no I'll show you some bad hands I've drawn right now
(these are all from the same piece and it's unfinished but I have drawn these and I can prove it in many ways)
There's nothing wrong with not being able to draw hands, and there's nothing wrong with making mistakes it's human, it's natural. I've looked at all these example images and unfortunately I can't see anything that tips me off about it being AI.
This girl's face looks fine actually it's clearly just stylized and she's definitely not human so that's why she looks off

To be honest, to me this seems more like you personally didn't like the art that much and were looking for reasons to dislike it, which is fine and normal. It's ok to not like art u can just say that. Sure, it's kinda mean, but it's a lot nicer than tearing apart a picture and meticulously pointing out the flaws to "prove" it's AI. This kind of thing is dangerous it can really affect an artist, I know if this happened to me I'd probably leave the internet forever, not to mention spreading rumors that this artist uses AI can ruin future job prospects.
They could lose their current jobs, since using AI would be a breach of contract, and it can prevent them from getting jobs in the future. Not to mention that it could potentially lead to them getting sued because selling art that you don't own/didn't create is fraud. And getting stuck with the reputation of an AI artist if ur not an AI artist would probably make you completely unemployable.
On another note, ceVIO would not use AI art. It's clear and obvious that the community does not approve of AI art whatsoever and I'm not sure if you're in the same circles I am, but game studio Rayark made a statement that they were replacing their art staff with AI art, and they were eaten alive. They lost most of their community support and even after walking back the decision, a lot of people completely abandoned them and they lost a lot of money. CeVIO would not risk this. I did not know about the NFTs before and I won't defend them, but this and that are different situations entirely. I could walk you through how the ci flower art was not AI step by step but that wouldn't be very constructive and I doubt you would ultimately care.
Once again I'm not attacking you by saying all this, and I don't even expect you to read all this. Honestly, I didn't expect a response at all I was mostly talking to myself here. I don't know what backlash you've received and I'm sorry if you've gotten any hate that's not the way to talk to people you disagree with, and even if we don't agree I would never wish anything like that on you. Please stay safe and know that I have no ill will towards you, I just don't think speculating on whether something is AI or not without knowing the trademarks of AI art is a very good idea.
Also, on a side note, the ci flower art was released a while ago, before AI art was as advanced as now... honestly if she was AI she'd probably have a third arm, or something like that

Oh requests! Would you write boomerbot, maybe something about KAY/O and Brim having a memory they share/having similar things happened in their lives that they get to talk about? Maybe something fun/lighthearted? Feel free to ignore if its not up your alley :)
Ok, so, I really did try to pivot and make a second version that was a little happier. What I did in the end, was just give it a nice conclusion lol. I think from the beginning of my writing, it just wasn't going to be lighthearted, so sorry about that 😅
That being said, I hope you still like the little one shot :)) (If you want it on AO3, here it is)
~2.5k, boomerbot, a hint of tremorbolt, No actual warnings (as far as I'm concerned)
When the world was on the edge of a knife, moments like these were rare. Especially for a force whose main purpose was to protect said world. Brimstone was tucked into a small booth with KAY/O across from him, and a passed out Sova to his right. Probably not from the alcohol. The man had done the recon work for this mission solo before being a part of the actual entry team. He deserved to sleep without ridicule. Still, KAY/O insisted on calling someone so that they would come get Sova and bring him to his room.
“There’s no way that Breach is coming all the way from his stupid suite to the lobby just to pick Sova up.”
“Ten bucks.”
Brimstone looked from Sova to KAY/O. He had to be missing something. An AI did not simply make these assumptions without some probability calculation going on. And KAY/O was more than just some AI born only from some lines of code. He was sure that KAY/O had talked to Breach about this. Maybe secretly exchanging text messages while they were sitting here and drinking, though he couldn’t detect any signs of that, and he was sure there was a typing symbol on that screen when he was messaging Breach the first time.
“It’s Breach. There’s no way.”
“Money where your mouth is.” KAY/O even held his hand out and open. Brimstone thought for a second longer, then took out a bill and placed it in his hands.
“You don’t know yet if he’ll come down,” Brimstone reminded him.
“If he doesn’t, you’ll get your money,” Kayo responded.
They sat there for a little longer in silence. Brimstone was now wracked with anxiety that maybe he missed something, and that KAY/O knew more than he was letting on. But Sova didn’t like Breach. Every time he was put on a group mission, Sova would ask about the roster, and he’d make a face – even if he thought he wasn’t making a face – whenever Breach’s name was mentioned.
“You promised to tell Sova a memory.” KAY/O’s voice jerked him out of his thoughts, and Brimstone nodded. He did indeed tell Sova that he would. “Would you tell me one instead?”
He nodded. “Of course. What do you want to hear about?”
“Something happy. Something that made you irrevocably feel human.”
Human. Humanity was something people just felt, and again he was reminded that no matter how familiar all KAY/O’s mannerisms were, he was just an AI. Humanity was something to be studied and understood rather than an intrinsic concept.
He leaned back in his chair to go through his memories. Something human. His first thoughts were to loss and to grief. Those were undeniably human, right? But then he remembered that KAY/O had lost people too. He heard the AI voice say to the agents, “Not this time. It’ll go differently.” And all the variations of those sayings – especially when it came to Brimstone. It was hard to determine if KAY/O actually felt grief – if he felt the pain of losing someone close to him. He certainly worked himself to the limits to keep the team safe, going down on multiple occasions to make sure that they were safe. Or, as he put it, “getting the most out of their money.” But nothing, not even robot AIs were that eager to die. Desperate to keep people alive on the premise that a robot could, in theory, be built back. And for now, he has been. But there could be a day where they could not afford to lug a heavy metal frame across an active zone to get to exfil.
Either way, KAY/O asked for something happy.
“There was this one time. I went to Thailand with a couple friends of mine. One of them I’ve known since we were maybe four. The others, we met at the Fire Department.”
He remembered the trip. The smiles on their faces. The consensus that they were invincible in that moment. That nothing in the world or in life could touch them. That, for a few seconds, they were immortal. That same feeling wasn’t there when one of them went into a coma after responding to a fire. Another retired early after a bad car accident. Then Tariq…
“We were off the coast on this motorboat we rented for the day. Just the four of us, big pack of beers and some snacks. And get this, we’re an hour out from any shore, engine’s cut, we’re just drifting right?” He looked at KAY/O and for what felt like such a tame story now, it looked like Brimstone had an enraptured audience.
“Then out of nowhere, this whale and her calf come up and the little guy starts bumping against our boat!”
“Was it aggressive?”
“No, not at all. It’s a toddler still, remember? Big toddler that could’ve overturned us I guess, but it didn’t hurt us. So, we all slip into the water and go swimming with a whale. The most unbelievable moment of our lives.” Brimstone closed his eyes, remembering the smell of the ocean waves, the sounds of laughter, and the rumble of the boat as they travelled back. “Later, after the whale leaves, and as we got close to the shore, we start slowing down again, just soaking in the last rays of the sun. From below, Tariq—”
“Something jump out at you?” He froze.
Brimstone didn’t respond right away. “Kind of.” It could’ve been just some wild guess, but it came too well timed, too—
He let out a breath. Now that was just the alcohol speculating. There was no reason to believe that KAY/O had any guess as to what happened next, he was just throwing out what made sense. KAY/O, no matter how familiar he felt, was not someone he knew back then. No. He didn’t know what was behind the programming but it definitely wasn’t anything familiar.
“We see a few shapes come up, and boom, just like that, five or six manta rays are swimming with us to shore. Even reached out to touch a couple.”
KAY/O nodded. “That’s your happiest memory?”
“One of them. You said something about humanity. That’s maybe the closest I got.”
He sipped his drink again while KAY/O seemed to think. Was it even possible to read the body language of a robot? It was hard to know because KAY/O was so human… in every interaction. And more than just human, familiar. Familiar in a way that made Brimstone’s heart beat a million miles a second.
“I guess I was just curious. I never got to ask Brimstone that… from my world. He…”
Died. Yes. Brimstone knew. KAY/O had finally explained it to him one night as they went over mission strategy together and next steps. It had been a week or so after KAY/O had arrived. In that time, he had been nothing but unpredictable. This world that KAY/O had been sent to was facing a different threat than the one back wherever he came from. Then, Brimstone received the memory chip. KAY/O seemed reluctant at first when giving it over, and why shouldn’t he be? Brimstone apparently was trusting the one agent who destroyed the other world in the Radiant War.
“Did I ever tell you about my first time waking up?”
Brimstone tilted his head. KAY/O had shared his thoughts and memories before, but never anything personal, not that Brimstone would ask that of him.
“No. Are you just trying to distract me so that I forget about the bet?”
“There’s still time. It’s a big building.”
Brimstone chuckled but then nodded for KAY/O to continue. “I remember there were a few tests, so I had already seen the world before I even… Woke up. I knew your faces. I knew my creators face, and yet… There’s something different from seeing all these things on a screen and being able to move around that space and interact.”
“Like being a kid?”
KAY/O tilted his head slightly side to side before shrugging. “Maybe. I wouldn’t know.”
“Right.”
Something else Brimstone realized was that KAY/O was human in how he spoke, but even more, he was human in his mannerisms. Familiar. That word kept popping up in his head.
He watched as KAY/O tilted his head for a second before continuing, “I remember. I couldn’t adjust to actually moving. Motion and interaction only made sense in numbers, so my Creator, Wolf, he wanted to shut me down. Tweak me a little more before turning me on again.”
“Did you want that?”
“A little. Like how you guys get painkillers, I get a nap.” Brimstone chuckled. “But no. You… well, I guess the Brimstone in that world told him not to. You told him to let me be.”
“Stubborn, I guess?”
“One way to put it… But it turned out to be the right call. No matter what the Professor changed, I still would’ve been shell-shocked when I woke up. There’s just too much in this world.”
Just like a baby, Brimstone chuckled to himself. “Hopefully he took it easy on you at least. Don’t tell me I was enough of a hard-ass enough to force you into training.”
KAY/O looked over at him, which made him wonder for a second if he did do that. “No. You showed me around the place. Answered everything. You were a good captain.”
“You mean the other Brimstone.” Brimstone offered an awkward smile. “I’m still here, don’t use past tense to describe me yet.”
“Yeah. Right…”
Did this professor, whoever he truly was, know what he was doing? Brimstone was quite sure he understood why he didn’t let KAY/O get reset. There was something about KAY/O that was familiar. And he was getting real tired of that word. Because familiar meant not quite. It meant that no matter how much he wished it so, there was nothing left of the original. The person he was comparing KAY/O to. Did the professor mean to torture him like this? Did he know what doing?
“What kind of old man, sad shit, pathetic pity party did I walk into?” Breach asked.
The harsh, loud voice shook Brimstone out of his thoughts, just in time to see a dollar sign flash briefly on KAY/O’s display. And… What? What was Breach doing here?
“I’m just here for your little pet, I’ll be out of your way soon enough.”
Maybe he was giving Breach a dirty look or something because the man turned to him and just scoffed.
“Trust me, if I wanted him dead, I would’ve brought a gun. Worst I can do now is just toss him into a pool.”
“I didn’t realize you were close.”
“We’re not close,” Breach rolled his eyes as he practically threw Sova over his shoulder like you would do to a heavy sack. “Did you really think Sova would break your no fraternization rule?”
“He might if you come get him like this every night.”
“By all means I can let you and your old joints take him away. I don’t know why you called me.”
“I didn’t call you, It was KAY/O.”
“And I guessed right, didn’t I?” KAY/O gladly took the money from Brimstone’s hand. “Knocked it out of the park.”
“More like knocked two birds with one stone,” Brimstone muttered. KAY/O made some dismissive hand wave which got him to chuckle.
“Aww look at you two bantering. Careful now, Captain, or people are going to accuse you of getting too familiar.” He also added something under his breath that Brimstone didn’t quite catch because of that word Breach used.
Again. Familiar. He was stunned, not because Breach had used his concussing abilities on him, but because Breach had somehow pointed out Brimstone’s one major issue with KAY/O. If issue was even the right word. KAY/O was a robot with advanced AI from another dimension and timeline. There should’ve been no reason why Brimstone thought about familiarity around the newest agent.
But Breach finally walked away, leaving KAY/O and Brimstone alone again. What he said though, that stayed behind with him even after he lost sight of the red hair.
“Hey, KAY/O,” Brimstone started, “Did uh… Do you know if your personality was based on anyone in particular?”
That got the robot to tilt his head.
“You don’t have to answer if it makes your uncomfortable. I was just wondering since…” Since you’re familiar.
“I would be happy to tell you…” Oh? “If I know that myself.”
Oh…
“Sometimes, I feel like there are memories or feelings that are locked away from me. But it’s in my mainframe.” As he spoke, he looked off to the side. Even with no face, the action, the emotion, and the posture, it was something Brimstone had seen someone else do a hundred times. “I guess you can say it’s like a leaky bathroom. I know the memories are dripping out from somewhere. I just can’t find where.”
“From Tariq…” Brimstone murmured. Barely a whisper. Still, KAY/O looked back at him as though he heard his name being called. But that was probably just his imagination and a little confirmation bias.
“I know I remind you of someone. But you do the same to me sometimes.”
It was Brimstone’s turn to look confused. “What do you mean?”
“I always think I remember you. I remember Desert Storm. I remember Ghost Pines. I remember the time when Killjoy miscommunicated, and you stepped out and ran right into your own molly. I even remember this one time you broke a coffee pot and instead of admitting it was you, you somehow got all the agents to argue and accuse each other. I remember. But I don’t remember you.”
He didn’t know how to respond.
“I mean, I feel it sometimes with the other agents, but they don’t seem as bothered by it. I’m also not as bothered by them. You’re the only one that makes me confused.”
Brimstone sat up and leaned in towards the table, getting just a few inches closer to the robot, and yet, it felt like miles of distance to get where he was now. The question was right on the tip of his tongue. He was unwilling to say it though because if the answer wasn’t the one that he wanted, it would crush him even more – to have this imitation of something he wished he had, and then for it to reject him.
But that hesitation was what lost him the chance the first time around. “So… do you have a preference? Between me and the other Brimstone?”
Maybe he shouldn’t have asked. They were both silent, neither daring to move, let alone say a word.
Just as he was about to pull his question back, KAY/O answered, “I…I think I prefer you. From this world.”
And he had never felt as light as he did in that moment when KAY/O said that. KAY/O had leaned in too, and as a result, their hands, one robotic and one flesh, were mere millimetres from brushing each other’s.
“I… I think I’m a lot closer with you than the other Brimstone. He was always… I don’t know. Wrong time, wrong place for what I wanted I guess.”
“Then I hope you find better timing here.”
KAY/O reached out for his hand. “I do too.”

I don't think we take things seriously as much as we should
I was struck (no pun intended) by a post on Twitter publicizing which WGA strike locations have the best food trucks. Now, I'm not saying that this isn't worth knowing.
But I'm reading a book that goes over how the labor movement was going between WWI and WWII. Here are some things that happened:
Labor advocates stripped, whipped with leather straps with steel balls in them, then covered in tar and feathered, and forced to climb a wire fence and run out of town with no shoes through a field
Black workers lynched and burned alive and more/worse (if you can imagine) for either trying to unionize, or crossing picket lines
Labor advocates jailed for speaking for the cause of labor, some for more than 10 years, others tortured by the US federal and state governments
All to say that it was never a guarantee that unions would be a thing, have any respect. Many Americans in power fought tooth and nail agains unions and strikes; the media was largely against unions; they were seen as subversive and damaging; and even workers resisted them for fear of losing jobs, or out of a particular kind of patriotism common at the time.
For their part, union organizers and members were no less committed. They would destroy equipment, beat scabs (folks who cross picket lines), and where possible, fight back against the private armies that owners employed to "keep workers in line."
There is no excuse for any of the violence, however there were good reasons on the union side for the eventual violence they committed. Mostly in answer to all of the horrible things done to them. But then as violence escalated, people who weren't in the thick of it had reason to want the government to do something, especially when most newspapers at the time portrayed the actions of business and government as necessary and heroic (when they did report on what happened), while portraying union supporters as subversive and treacherous.
I think it's worth remembering all of that as workers today strike or try and unionize. This is serious business. People's livelihoods are at stake, and not just that. There are still working conditions in the US that lead to serious injury and death, and often in industries where you wouldn't expect it. For example, Amazon workers are pushed to their limits, and many just get all used up, can't do the work anymore, and find their bodies broken in such a way that it's hard for them to find any other work they can do without being in constant pain.
Thus, when the WGA strikers start talking about where the best food trucks are (food trucks are typically expensive, how can they afford it?), or which location has the best entertainment, it probably rings hollow with other unions in less creative fields.
Make no mistake: the WGA demands are reasonable, and every white collar worker, and even a lot of blue collar workers, should be paying attention. The main demand they have that can affect all workers is what happens with AI. They are demanding that AI not be given equal status to a human writer, and that any produced production must have at least one full time writer (my interpretation, apologies if that's not perfectly accurate). If they can get this concession, or something similar, this will have a HUGE impact on other union contracts, which will then pass into non-union agreements as well. If they fail, then anyone who uses words and their brain for a living will be more vulnerable than they could have been. And for those who use their bodies instead, there will be one less example to point to for how workers' rights can be protected.
Still, the WGA strike already appears to a lot of folks who don't work in the industry to be a lot of clean handed dilettantes asking for more money. Being compared to basketball players and such. It's mostly nowhere close to that, but deciding where you strike by the type of cuisine available isn't the best way to dispel that idea.
And one last thing: the whole point of a strike is to stop companies from being able to make money until a deal is reached. But not every worker is in the WGA, and not every worker is unionized. If successful, the strike will make it so that no money can be made for production studios. This means they won't be able to pay other workers. Which means that assistants, drivers, security guards, janitors, caterers, and any other non-union workers could be furloughed without pay without getting any direct benefit from the strike.
That's the cost of a strike, no doubt. But it wouldn't be surprising if those folks are upset that they have to be out of work just because the WGA wants a better deal. Their anger should be aimed at the producers and studios, since they are the ones who refused the very reasonable terms.
But...
It's a bad look when you're having a good time, and searching for the best food and entertainment while striking, while they are now facing possibly not making rent while not getting any direct benefit from the strike. Have a thought for them as you exercise your rights.

*All opinions are mine and mine alone*
At What Point
Today I look around me left to right, and nothing really feels right anymore.
Ai while a powerful tool has been used to spread misinformation and propaganda throughout our nation. To the point families are splitting, people are fighting, and no one is happy anymore.
People are being taken from their homes, their jobs, now their schools and churches. One of the most infamous places in our nations history known for torture and interrogation has been turned into a concentration camp, or 'dention center' if that sits better with you.
Funding is being cut to programs that help us, medications are being missed, the cost of food keeps rising day to day. Government sites are pulling information down left and right involving medical care or really anything about LGBTQ+ people. Including the constitution itself from the White House website.
Mutiple planes have collided and killed our own people within only a few weeks after the president fired most of the air control staff and Director of Aviation. When confronted he blamed DEI's which I'm now finding out just means minorities of any creed that aren't white. They were unqualified because how could a minority possibly know how to fly is their excuse. That's their reasoning. People have crashed, burned, and died because of a careless decision, and were all quickly shoved under the rug to push the ousting of minorities in the work force.
And even though those crashes were horrible and made the president look bad, that was the only news story being recommended to me since it happened. Then I learned why. When you go digging you can find all kinds of terrible things the government is doing. ICE raids are happening right now in our cities. The president elect replaces an entire 'Independent board' of commitee for the Kennedy Center to appoint himself chairman to ban drag shows at the center. Fires every able bodied and qualified government representative and substitutes their knowledge with loyalists. I had to search all these topics, because social media was not advertising them to me. YouTube only had plane crash news, I never saw a single bad thing said about the president on any news story from Facebook, and 'X' or as I will call till the end of my days Twitter is owned and ran by his second hand.
A team of children lead by the richest man in the world raided multiple agencies and accessed information they were not entitled to, nor vetted properly for at all. Your bank statements are in their hands, your social security is in their hands, every detail you've ever given the government which is everything, is in their hands.
Threats of invasion and land conquering are spreading like wildfire. We want Greenland, we want to make Canada a state, we want to reclaim the Panama. But do we the people really want that? Was there a petition I missed for changing the name of Denali or the Gulf of Mexico? Why did Google, one of the world's leading information banks and distributors fold like paper immediately upon command?
We are watching the world burn in real time. Our president elect refers to himself as a king publicly, his second hand is replacing those who would oversee his operations with employees, and both work hand in hand to dismantle any and all who would oppose them. Starting by dismantling agencies, impeaching "activist" judges, and replacing anyone that refuses to comply with their unconstitutional orders.
In the wake of this living hell I ask my fellow man one question.
At what point do we step in?
Would it be the point when it's not just minorities being escorted away to camps but our own families?
Is it when we need ethnicity/citizenship cards on our person just to walk the streets?
When the country loses so much money and resources we are killing each other over food to survive?
When we're hiding our fellow man from raids and lynchings?
At what point do you consider this your problem? At what point do you understand this is the work of people with no interest in your wellbeing? At what point do you swallow your pride and extend your hand to your fellow man?
We are dying. Both as a nation, and possibly as a species if we let things get to nuclear warfare.
I'm young. I'm not infallible. I'm not rich or know what to do all the time. However I see what's going on. I remember what I've read, seen, and heard of fascist dictatorships of all nationality and creed. I remember judging the Germans who went along with genocide. Ignored the roaring sound of trains zooming by. The violence in the streets and neighborhoods as houses were raided.
I used to ask myself, why did no one do anything? Why didn't they stop the SS from raiding houses and taking people? Why did they bend the knee to a man that would and did leave them to die in his own cowardice? Why were regular German citizens nazis?
I know the answer now. It's because they were scared. Like I am. Like my friends are. Like my fellow Americans are.
I'm just a kid with a family and a good life to hold on too... But when this nightmare is through, if we all survive this, I want my kids to say that I stood for something. That I didn't crack under the pressure of hatred. That I stood when I was told to kneel.
I won't ever stop loving my fellow man. Ever. That also means not giving up on them either. I implore every single warm blooded American with even an ounce of love in their hearts to look at what's happening around us, and ask yourself if this is right. If this is really what you want. Because those being fired, deported in mass, being ripped away from their families they aren't just DEI's. They're not just illegals. They're people. People with hopes dreams, lives, loves and hates, bonds and stories.
To say anyone doesn't belong here, in the land of the free is a mockery of the name itself. Our grandparents and fathers fought and died to push back against totalitarianism and fascist regimes. They stormed beaches and braved horrors beyond our comprehension for our fellow men across the world and we cried and applauded them for it. Now we thank a billionaire for thrashing the poor and defenseless out of office and home.
Don't think about what the founding fathers would think of you, think about what your own blood would think of you.
We don't need to make America great again. We just need to make America, America again.
Thank you for reading, I know this will inevitably lead to many losses in friends and possibly family but I would live and die a coward if I didn't at least speak up.
Thank you again.

1 Sorry but as an artist, part ofyour response to the ai art ask is disappointing. Ai art is not a tool for artist - it's a system built from stealing from artists to produce finished pieces. It's akin to asking for a screwdriver and someone handing you a fully built IKEA shelf. It's built to replace artists, not help them visualize anything. It is completely different to computer animating where that still requires artists to work and craft the animation. You don't just press a magic 'animate'
2 button and everything is done for you. The idea that ai art makes art more accessible is a trash take too. Art is one of the most accessible things out there. All you need is pen and paper. Sure you might not get the results you want, but art requires training. Art isn't a talent you're born with - it's something people train in for many years. It's like expecting I deserve a black belt in karate asap because I really like karate and think I'm entitled to short cut my way to it. There are
3 hundreds of amazing disabled artists out there who draw with their mouths or feet. Artists are already losing their jobs to ai and to hear more people claim how it's 'just a tool' hurts. It's sad enough that my art has been stolen from me and fed into ai without my consent and hearing people say it's a tool and I should be fine with it sucks. My career is already in danger. I admire you as a person but it hurts to see these 2 takes from you as it echos what all the ai bros use to justify theft
I'm sorry if I seemed like I wasn't taking the threat of AI art to commercial artists seriously in my original post. As I said, I do think it's a real problem, and I think we have to start regulating it from now because otherwise it's likely that big corporations will try to cut costs by using AI to create mostly decent work instead of hiring humans to do work that’s actually good or resonant. Already, AI has become a big threat to writers and actors in the film and television industry, and it's one of the big reasons the WGA and SAG strikes happened last year. As you mentioned, there's also a huge problem with how AI models are trained. Artists should be able to choose whether or not they want their work used to train an AI, and, if they do choose to share it, they should be fairly compensated for that work.
That said, I do think that at its core, AI is just a tool. It can be used for all sorts of purposes, some productive, some destructive. I don't think the ways that AI can be used for destruction is a reason to get rid of it entirely. Rather, I think the ways it can be destructive have to be carefully considered and protected against. I don't think that professional creative settings should be allowed to use AI to replace their human artists. But I do think that there are a lot of people who are using AI in really unique in innovative ways, and I don't think they should be prevented form doing that. For example, I know a professional illustrator who has a series on Instagram about a whimsical gnome. He writes the entire thing himself, he will sometimes do animations for it, but the majority of the visual content for this series is hyper-realistic AI-generated video (I think based on his illustrations). It's not something he could create on his own, and it's not something he has the money to hire an entire production crew to create, especially because I don't think he actually makes any money off of these stories. He's creating art that he enjoys making and that other people enjoy viewing, and I don't think there's anything morally wrong with that. Is it less effort than hand-animating illustrations for it? Sure. But I don't think sheer effort is what makes art good or meaningful- if it was, artists like Basquiat or Warhol or Mondrian would be considered terrible. Art (at least, fine art) is art because of what it has to say and the way it chooses to convey that meaning. If people can find ways to create art that's emotionally resonant and meaningful using an AI, I don't think there's fundamentally anything wrong with that (as long as the art in question isn't being created using a stolen data set, which a lot of AI generated art currently is).

I'm not trying to be an ass, and I don't think I'm smarter than anyone, I'm just a little confused about some opinions regarding ai art.
I'll start off by saying I agree that using people's work to train ai software without their express permission is obviously shit, and that I too don't like the look of most ai generated images. I want to talk about criticisms people have over the technology itself in this post.
The confusion comes in when people are saying it's stealing jobs and taking the soul out of art, among similar criticisms.
A lot of this type of criticism reminds me of how people felt (and occasionally still feel) about photoshop. It's also reminiscent of people's opinions on any form of automation throughout history. With many early attempts at automation for any given skill, much of the criticism was that it didn't look as good, was a tool for lazy people who didn't want to learn a skill, and would take jobs away from people who spent their whole lives learning the skill.
Usually, most of this was true (ignoring the obvious subjective opinion that it "looked worse" despite that being a subjective take that changed as the tech improved) but for many of these things, there are still crafts people doing these things with their own two hands, it's just that by the time automation took over the larger industry, it became a hobby rather than a job because they could not keep up with the efficiency of automation.
For me personally, there's probably a venn diagram I could make for reasons I like more automated work versus hand made hobby work. But to be honest, I'd prefer to keep my art a hobby.
I don't like that in the short run, people will lose jobs over this. That always sucks. I don't like that many less creative people will be able to make more money faster than real craftspeople. But this has happened before. So many times. And with many of these tools of automation, they did not become available to the layman until years later, whereas, ai tech is available to the same people photoshop is available to. These perceived problems imo are an issue of capitalism forcing people to commodify their work in the first place, not the technology itself.
It seems to me that what people are angry about is primarily emotional, based on the sorts of people they imagine are using the tech, and how much they feel as though it betrays something fundamental about art because it's taking them a lifetime to develop their own skill, but people using ai tech claim themselves to be in the same realm as them when they didn't take the time to do it the way they like to do it. Is a four year olds drawing of a house less valuable than a 30 year olds drawing of a house just because the 30 year old spent more time learning how to do it in a way that appears more realistic? Is art that clips images and text from magazines and glues them to a canvas less valuable than a person who used paper and pencils and paints they made themselves? You'd probably be more impressed by the stuff that took more personal effort, and I feel like that's something automation isn't going to take away from people.
Is art used for ads not art just because you don't like it?
Is any art not art just because you don't like it?
Art isn't some ethereal spiritual special thing at all times. And though many people would not be satisfied with the result of an ai art generator, that is personal preference. As much as people are trying to argue that it isn't. Many people are satisfied with the results they get, and asking them to spend years of their life learning something as time consuming as art when they are probably already spending their time learning other skills seems a like a narrow opinion to me.
One other small thing is I see people claiming that people using prompts to generate images no "real" artist has created are themselves stealing jobs. Like, if nobody was doing it before then who's jobs are being taken? Especially when the vast majority of these people aren't making any money off this stuff themselves.
It just feels from the outside that people are being emotional and hyperbolic about things.
The way people talk about it though, it feels like there is something I am completely missing about these criticisms. I want to be proven wrong if that's the case.

Hi! I'm chronically ill and disabled (both physically and neurodivergent), though my conditions are fairly mild.
What tools and resources do you use to write?
I can't use fancy writing software with lots of customizations and special features. My ADHD will have me spending all my time configuring things and filling in whatever unnecessary information the program asks for. I'll also probably get overwhelmed and stop using the software after a week or two, never to touch it again.
I need things simple. A simple interface. Barely any feature flexibility and something that is a calm sensory experience.
Alas, Microsoft Word on dark mode, with the AI editor and all the grammar checking features (save basic spellcheck) turned off. The somewhat "old fashioned way". In fact, my favourite version of word to write on is 2003 (though it doesn't have dark mode).
Also, a membrane keyboard (small, light keys), a chair with a backrest, chairs with lots of cushion and space to "sit weirdly" and wiggle around, and I am looking into ring splints to stop my pinky knuckles from sitting wrong in their joints as I type. The computer itself is a tool. I can't write large amounts by hand without pain, if I have to I prefer to write with a very runny ink that doesn't clot (the pen can't glide too smoothly though, I need feedback for motor control) or mechanical pencil with a soft grip, and I write in cursive (less jerky wrist motions).
How do you accommodate for yourself when working through the writing process?
All my notes, manuscripts, brainstorming etc. has to be well-organized and easy to find. Otherwise I will get overwhelmed and not touch it. I am also at risk of losing it (ADHD again). I organize my word docs easily enough - I have folders within folders within folders (set up during a hyperfocus episode many a year ago) and I just take the extra 2 seconds to save my document to the correct place when I create it.
I also set aside large chunks of time, mainly late at night, where I can write uninterrupted. No one needs to talk to me. There is nowhere I need to remember to be soon. No one else is awake making noise. I have the most energy at night and my anxiety is worst in the mornings. When there is nothing for me to do but lose myself in my writing I set up the perfect conditions for hyperfocus to kick in. Then I am actually able to put my entire brain into my work.
What issues and challenges do you still encounter while drafting?
I go long periods of time without writing due to chronic fatigue. I also need a better set up because my posture is killing my neck and my knees. I like to sit with my feet up because circulation issues but if I don't have a proper foot stool I end up w-sitting or sitting on my knees in a chair. And then I wonder why my knee isn't sitting right in it's socket... Sometimes I write in bed with a pillow under my knees and that seems to help.
Honestly, my biggest challenge is money. I can't afford to go splurge on the new chair, wrist supports, ergonomic mouse, and file organizers for my desk that I need in order to make that space at all useable. I have to buy one little thing every few months and then wait until I have the money again. I haven't actually used my desk in years. It is so messy (desperately needs storage solutions and file organizers) and it is inaccessible for me to sit at for long periods of time without pain.
What advice do you have for other disabled/chronically ill writers?
Cursive and touch typing are wonders for hypermobile people. Before you dismiss cursive for "hurting your hand" make sure that you were actually taught it correctly. It should be written from the shoulder, with the whole arm, and should be much gentler and more natural for the wrist. It should also be loose, if you are tensing when writing cursive something isn't right.
As for touch typing, I still struggle to type with my pinkies (particularly the top row of keys) but overall working on my accuracy and correcting some bad habits have saved my hands many a cramp.
My only other advice is to remember to bring a notepad into the bathroom with you when you are writhing on the floor in the dark with a migraine. For research purposes.
Oh and, you aren't alone. It's okay if you aren't making as much progress as you had hoped to. It's not your fault. Even if you never get the chance to write again, you don't need to finish a project for it to be worth something. Your writing is beautiful, all of it, even the messy character doodles and unhinged notes app bullet points, because you, a whole human person, wanted it to exist. You deserve to enjoy things. Even when they aren't "productive."
Chronically ill and disabled writers: I want to hear from you!
What tools and resources do you use to write?
How do you accommodate for yourself when working through the writing process?
What issues and challenges do you still encounter while drafting?
What advice do you have for other disabled/chronically ill writers?
I’m sharing a series of blog posts aimed at supporting these communities within the general writing community— a community to which I belong. Much of the popular bits of writing advice just do not work for us, our minds, or bodies— so I want to create some that does. I am preparing resources with information that supports people like myself, who struggle with health conditions and the challenges related to them.
I can’t guarantee these posts will automatically solve your writing dilemmas. What I can say is this: building community and the sharing of resources has changed my life as a disabled and chronically ill writer for the better. That sort of support is something I wish for all of you who happen to read this.
invite you to comment here, contact me via private message, or through my ask box. If you’re more comfortable interacting through anonymous asks, I completely understand, and I welcome those, too.
The first post in this series— Writer’s Guide to Conquering Executive Dysfunction— is already available to read.

____________________________________________
The day after ferry incident at Avengers
The Avengers were in the common room area watching news while having breakfast for last day at the tower since tonight the things were gonna moved to the compound. And they were leaving tomorrow morning.
The news was about Spider-Man and the ferry incident that happened yesterday. Suddenly some news reporter said that they got exclusive footage of the ferry incident. Now everyone was curious about it and wanted to see what actually happened there.
Then the footage played. It was shot from the port. They sees as the some guy with metal wings was fighting with Spider-Man. He was trying to escape from his web. It wasn't so clear as it was in distance. Suddenly an energy blast happened and the ferry was split in half.
Everyone was shocked as to what was that blast. Now even Tony was more interested.
The ferry was sinking but it suddenly stopped. Spider-Man had connected both sides strong points with his web.
Bruce said, " How strong are his web to hold that much of weight together?"
Suddenly webs broke and ferry again started sinking.
Everyone gasps.
But then again it stopped. Spider-Man was holding it together.
"Jesus Christ! How strong is this guy?", Tony said.
But it didn't look like Spider-Man could hold on for a long time but suddenly some bots were seen flying towards the ferry. Some bots were on the left side, some were on the right side of the ferry. They started pushing ferry togather. But some bots were still in the air. As the ferry got together, the bots in the air started mending it together. The clip ended.
Everyone was shocked as to what just happened. Tony asked Friday to get the clip and play it at the bots part. Tony started analysing it. His thoughts were confirmed that the bots were using arc reactor technology. Tony was in speechless for a while.
"Who is this spider guy? How does he have my arc reactor technology and all this bots and stuff. Does he even have AI in his suit? It looks like it which will explain how he called the neno bots there." said Tony.
"May be he had figured out your reactor. Crom the look of it he looks like a genius if he is one who made all those neno bots and AI." Bruce replied.
Tony tells him, "If he had figured it out then how does he not showed it the world. He could have sold it and got so much money. He would have made fortune."
"May be he does not want attention on him and wants to keep it to himself. As for why he didn't sell it, it can be that he knows how much danger it can be if it's in wrong hand. The guy can be genuinely good. After all if he had bad intentions, he would have shown it till now. He is out there for years. Even before NY battle. I saw some of his videos where he is helping people from aftermath of the battle on YouTube." said Pepper.
Nat and Clint were silent.
Steve spoke up, " Not only that his strength stronger than me or Bucky combined. Why is this guy out there on street and not in Avengers team?"
"Shield is trying to get in contact with him from even before Avengers formed. He has been out there for almost 7 years. We don't know anything about him at all. Not who is or what his powers are or if they are biological or not. Everytime anyone goes after him he somehow knows someone is following as lose them. He was on Fury's list to get on the Avengers. He was on the top spots. But he never got to interact with him. Sheild is still trying to find out about him. The guy is good at cover his trials." Nat explained.
Everyone was blown away by that.
" I don't think so after this all Fury will get him away after this. He can be a big threat if he has this much power in his hand and ever gets on the other side." Clint adds.
" We need to find out who he is. If he is smart enough to figure out my arc reactor and make those techs, I need to have him work for my company and on our team." said Tony as he stood up.
" Wanna help Brucie? And all of you?"
Everyone nods. They all wants to find out who he was. They were bunch of curious heads.
They tried all afternoon but got nothing and Tony was annoyed.
They decided to take break. Nat, Pepper and Wanda were watching some video on YouTube with others when he and Bruce entered the common room. Looks like the video just started.
Pepper called them to watch it with them and played from the start.
There was a guy with mask who was playing a tune on guitar and started singing. The song was about Avengers. His voice was so pleasant to hear. There was so much details in lyrics. It continued for 2 minutes. After that video got cut. And the guy appeared again and said 'hey guys it's me again your cinnamon. Oh it's embarrassing to say this name now that I'm much older. I can't believe it's been so many years since we started this channel. I was like 6 when my aunt made my first video. Well it was my new song about the Avengers. Hope you guys liked it. Now let's go to today's video. I'm going to paint a portrait of all of the Avangers' whole team, everyone, new and old members in 15 minutes today while answering some of you guy's questions.' video cuts again.
Wanda paused the video. 'The song is so good. The lyrics are really detailed.' she said as others agreed. She played video again.
The guy appeared again but this time in a different place with canvas colours and all things to paint with. He starts working on canvas fluently and fast but neatly like he's been doing this for years like a professional artist. There was a woman with same mask as him sitting on chair beside him. He turned to her and said 'As you all know she is my Aunt and she will be reading the questions. You can start.'
The woman smiles to camera and started cheerfully, 'Hey everyone once again! Let's get started with questions. So the 1st one from @user01 how much is your IQ? Your experiments are damn awesome and thing you make is just wow.'
The boy smiles to the camera but go back to painting as he replies, 'I don't know I have never took an IQ test. I don't want to scare people away ' he gave a quick wink at the camera then goes back to painting. He is already done with base and outlines.
The lady starts to laugh and asks other question. ' this one is from @user02, are you still studying? ' the lady gave camera a weird look which said seriously?
The laugh can be heard from behind the camera. But the guy ssh them down. And replied 'Well you can say I am since I'm working to get my 4th PhD. Next question.'
' @user46 asks who is your favourite avanger? Look like this is a new to you videos. '
Everyone was paying attention now. Eager to know who was it.
The guy continues to paint as he smile and said, ' welcome to see our madness. My favourite avanger is Iron Man. He has been my favourite even before the Avengers were formed since he started. Tony stark has been my idol and crush from when I was 12. You can imagine how I must have felt when I found out he was Iron Man. If you wanna know there is a reaction video on my channel from 6 years ago.'
The lady asks next question ' @user8502 here wants to ask why can't I hack into you account to find out who you are? ' The lady and the camera guy and the guy himself starts laughing but his hands not stopping. He was half done and it was already looking great.
When they calm down, the guy starts speaking ' you atually tried. Well it's good I made my account unhackable all those years ago cause I didn't want anyone to know who I'm and I still don't. Atleast for now. '
They continued with next question, '@user18qq how old are you?'
'I'm 19 and going to turn 20 in 5 or so months.'
'@userttl do you sell your art works?'
'No I'm sorry but I don't sell my work. I have a entire room filled with my all work since my childhood to now in my house.' He smiles fondly.
'@user77kl what's your sexuality? Are you in relationship? '
This time the aunt continues to speak up, 'not that I know of. Are you cinnamon? '
The guy blush and shakes his head ' No I'm not in any relationship and I'm Bi. Come one aunt let get to next question I'm almost done' he blushes harder.
The aunt coos but ask the next question ' so @user63 wants to know what is your plan for future? '
' I haven't thought yet. I will probably applying for jobs in some famous companies. I'll stark industry too. Who knows if I get the job there and meet my crush. ' the guy smiles. He is almost finished he is just adding details everywhere. The portrait look awesome and he is still adding so much details. It's on professional level good and it not even done in even 15 minutes its only been 12 minute 47 seconds.
'ok looks like you're almost done so last question from @user3945 do you write your songs lyrics? They are so deep and detailed. I've heard all of your songs. You have some ones for individual songs too for Avengers. ' the aunt read.
'Thank you so much for listening to my songs. Yes, I myself write lyrics and compose all my songs.' he replied.
The guy adds some last details and finishing touches. ' So that was the last question for today and my painting is done.' he look behind camera ' how much time it took? '
The camera guy replied, 'it's been 13 minutes 53 seconds'
' well looks like it took less then 15 minutes. Tada!!! ' he motions to portrait painting.
It was outstanding. It didn't look nothing like it was done in less then 15 min. The video cuts. Then it back again the boy and his aunt is standing togather smiling at camera.
The guy spoke, ' Thank you everyone who watched my video. Please like, share and comment. And if you are new and liked my video you can subscribe my channel. And as always guys if you wanna know how the portrait looks after drying, I'll be posting a pic of it at my Instagram. Check that out. Bye guys see you in next video. Till then take care.'
Everyone stare at screen as the video finishes.
Rhodey speaks up, " It's a second genius we found in one day. Jesus 4th PhD at 19. Seriously? "
Wanda butts in " The video is 8 months old"
Scott joined in, "Is it only me who is all of a sudden feeling dumb? "
Pietro replied, " you were always dumb."
" If he gets in applies for job at SI we'll find out who he is, unlike some spider." Tony said.
" The guys is telented. Did you see his painting? It was awesome and so detailed and he made it in less than 15 minutes. I was on a professional level good may be better. I can't imagine if the guy did take his time to make something, it will definitely be a master piece. " Steve said.
" No one's gonna talk about the boy's crush on Stark?" Strange said.
Everyone looked at him startled.
"When did you come?"
" I'm here since the song part. You guys didn't noticed. " He replied smugly.
"Tony has been his idol and crush for eight years now. Woah! Even before you become Iron Man." said Clint.
" That mortal did look like there'll be a cute face beneath that mask, what do you think son of stark? " Thor asks.
" Yeah he was cute and had nice voice and all but I'm not gonna date any fanboy if you guys are implementing on that. " Tony sternly replied.
They were talking about the boy when FRIDAY spoke up. " Boss you are having a call from Happy."
"Connect the call Baby girl."
" Hey Happy"
" Boss the plane has took off. Everything is in order."
" Okk Hap. Thanks. "
The call disconnected.
" Looks like we're moving tomorrow as planned."
Not even half hour later Happy's call came again.
"Hey Hap. Everything fine?
" Boss! The plane has crashed at the Coney Island Beach."
Everyone's face turned to horror. They all stood up and went to suit up.
"What the hell Happy. I thought you said everything was in order."
" I'm sorry boss but everything was. The police is already at the scene. They said there was some guy webbed up there with a note from Spider-Man that he was trying to steal the stuff from plane. Some guy called 'flying valture guy'. I'm already on my way to the scene. "
" We'll be there soon too. "
The line cuts off.
Avengers reached at the scene. It looked like disaster. Happy came to them.
"Boss everything is safe. Spider-Man had removed the carrier boxes from the fire before it could damage and the guy who wanted to steal it was webbed up to it. Sheild agents took him to the jail. He is the same guy from the ferry incident yesterday. He was selling some illegal weapons which were mixed with alien tech, they were after him for a long time."
Avengers let out the sighs.
" It's good nothing's stolen or damaged. Get the stuff to the compound. This time we all will be going with it." Tony said as he motion to the others.
____________________________________________
Next day at the compound in the meeting room
Nick Fury and the Avengers were having the meeting.
" You all know about yesterday's incident was handled by Spider-Man. The plane which was crashed at the beach was not supposed to crash there. I want you guys to look at this video clip which our satellite captured." Fury said as he played the clip.
Spider Man and the Vulture was fight on the top of the plane. Valture broke on of the wings and plane started to crash towards the city and the buildings.
Spider Man webbed the othe wing and changed the direction of the crash. The clip ended.
"You must have got enough idea how strong this guy is from this and the ferry incident. He is got so much power and advanced technology in his hand. If he is to ever turn on the other side. He can be a great threat. But he isn't showing any signs of that happening since it's been years since he is doing this superhero stuff and looking out for little guy. He had defeated many supervillain like green goblin, lizard, doc oct, electro, sandman etc. I think he will be a great asset to the team. I want you guys to find out who he is and convince him to join the team. Shield has been trying for years but he always got was without any traces. I'm giving you this mission. Hope guys can do it. "
Before anyone could speak up there was a cough heard which was non of there's. As the looks around the didn't saw anyone. They got into a fighting position.
_:_:_:_:_:_:_:_:_:_:_:_:_:_:_:_:_:_
Cliffhanger!! Hope you guys liked it.

Pranking
Pairing: Steve Rodgers x Reader
Warnings: Smut
Summary: Pranking Steve Rodgers wasn't a good idea for most people but you were stubborn and had a power that gave you an edge over him.
You knew this was probably a bad idea, you were going to play a prank on Steve Rodgers. He doesn't do well with pranks, he's always so serious. You wanted to see if you could get him to lighten up and for some reason this was the best idea you could come up with.
"He's gonna kill me." As you looked down at the USB stick in your hand which held your doom. You looked up at the large computer screen and started clicking away.
"Yes Ms. Y/L/N?" The AI known as JARVIS answered. You knew Tony and he would welcome any chance to mess with Steve so you were sure JARVIS was programed to let these things happen.
"Hey JARVIS I want to play a little prank on Steve." You said unsure if the system would allow this to happen as you explained your plan.
"Yes Ms. Y/L/N, I can do this for you." It said and a mischievous smile played on your lips as you went to work. Once you were done you got up and started towards your room. About ten minutes after you walked through the door to your room a melody started playing.
You held your hand over your mouth as the melody played quietly but grew in volume as the singing started. You composed yourself as you heard people walking out of their rooms wondering what was going on. You followed suit as you all looked in confusion. Steve held anger in his face as he tried calling for JARVIS to turn the song off. But unfortunately for him it kept playing on repeat. Everyone was confused but a grin showed on most of their faces, Tony was losing it as he was crying while laughing.
"Did you do this Stark?" Steve asked as he grit his teeth in rage.
"No but I wished I had." Tony said through his wheezing. Everyone rushed to the computer that you had been in front of just a few moments ago. They took out the USB stuck but JARVIS had downloaded the song so that hasn't stopped it. You were shocked that he did this but it only made it that much greater. Luckily you stood at the door way so when you saw this happen you were able to hide behind the wall to let out a few fits of giggles but quickly returned to your previous position. After a few moments of frustrated clicking you walked away towards the living room about dying from laughter as you waved your hands in the air.
"Alright JARVIS, that's enough." You said as you continued to laugh. The music stopped and your laughter could be heard throughout the room. Everyone filed in as they watch you almost die from laughter.
"You did this!?" You heard Steve shout as you laughed.
"I'm sorry Cap it was too funny!!!" You said as you slowly calmed down. Tony laughed as you said this and everyone else snickered reassuring you of how funny it was.
"I will show you funny Y/L/N." You squealed as you dodged him from grabbing you. You ran to the elevator as you thrusted your hand out in front of you causing the whole room to freeze.
"As much fun as this has been I would probably head out." You say to them even though they can't hear you. "I will be back later once the star spangled man with a plan calms down." You click the door for the elevator to go down and as the doors close you wave your hand and let them unfreeze. You let out a sigh of relief as the elevator continued down.
"He's going down the stairs Ms. Y/L/N." You heard JARVIS say you nodded as you popped your neck. The elevator doors opened as you calmly walked out until you heard a door slamming open, you turned to see Steve Rodgers looking around until his eyes met yours. A grin shown on his face as he charged towards you. You squealed as you lifted your hands to freeze him again and ran out the door into a cab.
"Where you heading to honey." The driver said you looked into the building as you noticed started to unfreeze.
"Just drive." You said as you saw Steve started hearing towards the doors. The cab took off as you leaned back relaxing into the seat. After a few minutes you decided to get out, as you handed the cab driver the money you looked around to figure out where you were. You found a book shop and decided that you could lay low in there. You browsed through the shelves until you decided on a book. You sat down a started reading and for about thirty minutes you sat there. Until you heard the door ding signalling another person walking through. You peaked over your book to see Steve surveying the book store. You silently cursed as you ducked behind the shelf closest to you. A smile appeared on your face as you tried to avoid him. This had to be the funniest game of hide and seek ever!
You walked around as you peaked over the bookshelf to find that Steve was still looking as he began to go up and down the aisles. You quickly headed for the door and stood straight up as you had no more of the bookshelf to hide with. The door bell ring and you turned to make eye contact with Steve. A growl erupted from him as you shot your hand out to freeze him and ran out of the store. You ran across the street to the very large park deciding to lay low there.
This went on for several hours, hiding from Steve and almost being caught. You were currently nearing the tower as you sighed knowing that there was going to be a punishment waiting for you. But you couldn't hide forever and it was begining to get dark and you were exhausted.
You exited the elevator and saw almost everyone sitting in the living room their eyes turned to you. As soon as they saw you they chuckled and shook their heads. You made your way towards your room to get some rest. You opened the door and took your shoes off, switching on the lights. As soon as you turned to look at your bed you felt someone push their body onto you, they lifted your hands above your head and held them with one hand. You looked and found yourself face to face with Captain America.
"Caught you." He whispered huskily into your ear. You felt yourself growkng wet as his other hand grazed over your body. "You had me running around the whole city looking for you." You let out a shaky breath as he continued to feel your body. "While I was looking for you I kept thinking about what I would do to you once I found you. Those thoughts were driving me crazy all day Y/L/N." He pushed his body into you as you felt a large bulge push against your abdomen. You gasped as you felt this, the wetness grew as you started having thoughts about what he might be planning. You always found Cap attractive, who wouldn't? But you also had liked his personality as well as his body, he was a good man. You of course developed a crush on him which has you constantly teasing and messing with him. You didn't think anything of your crush as he was Captain America, he wouldn't want to be with you. But now your dreams might be becoming reality. "You could always stop me." He said before he did anything, making sure he had your consent.
"I know I could." You said as you stared into his beautiful blue eyes.
He gave you a smirk as he easily picked you up and walked towards your bed, he sat down with you on his lap. He stood you up, quickly unbuttoning your pants and removed them along with your panties. He patted his right thigh signalling for you to sit there. You went to sit down on his lap as he lead you to straddle his right thigh.
"Ride my thigh." He said, you nodded as you started but he grabbed your chin forcing you to look into his eyes. "Use your words."
"Yes, Captain." You said as you looked at him with innocent eyes. He groaned when you said this and guided your hips to start moving. You were grinding on his thigh feeling the rough fabric of his pants on you. You bit your lip as you let out a muffled moan. He reached up and pulled your bottom lip from your teeth.
"I wanna hear you." He growled as he watched your face as you moaned in pleasure.
"Yes Captain." You moaned as you felt yourself grow wetter with each movement.
"That's a good girl." He said, after a few minutes of this he grabbed your hips and made you come stop. His hands roamed up your body as he lifted your shirt over your head. He gazed down at your breasts which were covered by your bra. "Take it off." You reached behind your back and unclasped your bra letting it fall as you grabbed it and threw it across the room. You were now completely naked in front of Steve as his eyes roamed your naked body. "On your knees." You quickly obeyed as you got off of his lap and sat on your knees eagerly. He unbuttoned his pants and slid them off as his cock sprang up to his stomach. "So eager Y/N, are you a slut for your Captain?" He asked, you were slightly shocked at what he said but god you were drenched at this point.
"Yes Captain I am." You said as you innocently looked up at him.
"Do you wanna suck your Captain's cock?" He asked as he stroked himself in front of your eyes.
"Yes, please let me taste you Captain." You whined as you bit your lip watching his cock. He grabbed your hair and pulled you towards him, you opened your mouth and began sucking his dick. You heard his moans and god you didn't think you could get any more wet than you already were. He held your hair as he roughly fucked your face. Once he released your hair you looked up at him innocently through your lashes, he stared down at you. Another moan erupted from his chest.
"You look so beautiful with my cock in that pretty mouth of yours." He said with a pant. He grabbed your hair and pulled you up making sure not to pull your hair too hard as you followed his movment. He brought your face close to his, he gave you a look that caused a whimper to come out of your mouth. "I'm gonna fuck you so hard you won't be able to walk for days, that should give you second thoughts about running from me. Don't you think Y/N?"
"Yes Captain." You moaned as you said this. He pushed you onto the bed, he stared down at your naked body as he pulled his shirt over his head. You stared at his toned body unable to look away. He climbed on top of you and positioned himself at your opening. He looked into your eyes making sure he still had permission. You whined as you waited for him impatiently he smirked and quickly shoved himself inside of you.
"Your so wet for me." He moaned as he waited for you to adjust. Once you relaxed he started off slowly but quickly changed his pace as he started pounding into you. It didn't take long for you to feel the tightness in your core. He felt it too as you were tightening around his cock. "You gonna cum for me?" He asked as he gripped your hips so tight you knew their would be bruises.
"Yes Captain." You said
"Then cum." Your body did as he commanded you could practically see stars as you released for him. A few seconds later he did as well. He rolled off of you panting just as much as you were. You both layed in a euphoric daze.
"I didn't hurt you did I?" Steve asked worriedly. You giggled and shook your head as you rolled into him.
"No and if you did I enjoyed it way too much." You said, he chuckled at your answer as he stared down at you.
"So can I take you on a proper date?" He asked and even though you just got done having sex you heart jumped at the thought of going out with him.
"Yea." You said with a smile. "I honestly didn't think you liked me. I thought you only saw me as another agent."
"Are you kidding?" He said as he gave you a confused look. "I have been crazy about you for a long time Y/N. I guess I just couldn't contain myself like I usually could. I thought about punishing you for the prank you pulled but that only led to these kinds of thoughts and I was going insane all day cause I couldn't stop. Unless you told me to of course." He looked at you with one of the most serious expressions you have seen. "I think your amazing." You giggled in response as a blush crept its way over your face. "And your beautiful." He kissed your cheek after this, "smart," he kissed your neck.
"Stop!" You said with a giggle as you push him away.
"I like you too Steve," you say to him with a wide smile on your face. He grins as his eyes moved from yours down to your lips, he slowly leaned down to meet your lips putting all his emotions behind it as you do the same. Everything melted away as you wrapped your arms around his neck and felt his arms slide around your waist.

What’s Changed with Google Ads for 2019? (Tips, Tactics, & Advice)
OK, obviously, I've been having too much fun bugging other people who work at IMPACT to learn more about what they do.
I've already talked with our Facebook Ads wizard, Ali, about building revenue-generating Facebook ad campaigns and our senior front-end developer, Tim, about his background and what marketers need to understand about web development for their website projects.
Today, my learning party continues with my interview with Jason Linde -- a fellow IMPACTer and Marylander, who does stuff with Google Ads for our clients that borders on sorcery.
(Yes, I'm basically Ellen Page's character in Inception, asking everyone obvious questions to keep the audience informed. I'm leaning into the role.)
Much like Facebook Ads and web development, Google Ads is a complete mystery to me. The only real factoid I know about it is that it used to be called Google Adwords and now it's not.
So, I invited Jason to join me for a late lunch last week, so I could pick his brain about Google Ads; specifically, what's new for 2019 and what marketers should be thinking about as they continue to shape their Google Ads campaigns and strategies going into Q2 and beyond.
ME: OK, talk to me a little bit about the state of affairs of Google Ads coming out of 2018. Were there any surprises or big headlines?
JASON: I would say yes. The big thing is automation and the AI. Meaning, Google can take the keys and drive the car, so to speak, for your Google Ads.
You can say, "Here are some Google signals I would like. This is what I like to go after."
Source: Google
Then Google's like, "Yep. I'm gonna take all this information and I'm gonna make the best decision for you." You can still do it in what's called "manual mode," but automation with Google Ads is the big headline for me.
That's how people used to do it, though. We didn't always trust AI with Google Ads. You know, with AI being so young a few years back, you knew it would make some bad decisions. So, if you were a seasoned true PPC manager, you were doing it all manually. Automation was like a support system, but not really the go-to.
ME: So, I'm thinking about those marketers who've gotten burned by Google Ads in the past. They've put things on autopilot before -- either by Google or an agency -- but they ended up spending a ton of money without having much to show for it.
Can you tell me why those folks should "come off the ledge" with Google Ads, and how they can avoid flushing money down the toilet again with PPC?
JASON: So, yes, there's a lot of potential with automation and Google Ads, but I would still always recommend doing what I do with all of our clients -- I tiptoe into the automated space.
I always come out of the gate in manual mode. I want to manually control how much is being spent, where we're placing ourselves in terms of time of day, day of week, etc. Because I want to see that I have that control and what the data returns. Once the data starts coming back in, that's when you can start playing around with automation options.
I would tell anyone when they're just starting out with Google Ads is to keep an eye on them. Also, stay informed and keep up-to-date with Google Ads news. Search Engine Land and Search Engine Journal are my two favorite publications, because they always know what's happening and they're always diligently testing the tools.
ME: What are some Google Ads trends that are on the way out? Or maybe they're not on the way out, but should be, in the world according to Jason?
I think the days of really having to do A/B testing are over -- in terms of creating multiple ads, putting them in different ad groups, etc. They're going away because they have responsive ads now.
Source: Google
Thanks to responsive ads, I have the opportunity to create one ad with 10 different headlines, 10 different descriptions, and so on.
Then Google will optimize -- kind of like a washing machine, mixing maybe headline one with description four, headline five with description two, etc. Then it finds where it's most optimized. Where you convert the most. Then that's the deliverable.
You could do this testing now, right with these responsive ads.
You don't have to build out different tests, so you can build quicker. You can get data faster, and you can make modifications faster. That's the nice thing.
Then they have dynamic ads, where it used to be dynamic keywords. You could let the machine take a keyword from the user, and apply it to the ad without you having to have that keyword available. Now you can do the whole ad.
ME: Aside from what we've discussed, what would you say someone who is investing in Google Ads should be thinking about or looking at this year, in order to be successful?
JASON: Hands down, quality. The quality of your content. The quality of your ad. Just, 100 percent quality. I can't stress that enough.
ME: Why?
JASON: Google will weigh, I think it's around 39% or 40% of your quality score inside of Google Ads is based off of your landing page. Landing page experience.
What that means to Google is this:
You go to Google. You type in a search term. The idea is, what they deliver back is as close to exactly what you want because what they don't want you to do is click on a link, and then immediately hit the back button.
Because that's a bad user experience. The same really holds true with Google Ads.
If your ad is going to place in that top of the surf spot and somebody clicks on that ad and then they hit that back button, then it's a poor experience. Or they click on it because it is what they want, but the page speed sucks. The content's really lean. It's not what they were expecting, you get weighted on that. That quality score goes down.
ME: Wait, what's a Google Ads quality score?
JASON: Google's quality score is graded on a one to 10 scale. Ten being the best, one being the worst. They put three main factors into it. It's a proprietary algorithm, so they don't give you all the details.
But, broadly speaking, they'll weigh is ad relevance, landing page score, and then the click-through expectancy. In other words, if your ad is relevant to your keywords, which is relevant to the search query and you position well, you should have a high expected click-through rate that then goes to the landing page. Again, time on that page, activity engagement, conversions, things of that nature help explain to Google the success of that page.
More plainly, you can have as many goals as you want with Google Ads. But, in 2019, if your quality is crap -- meaning your pages are crap, your page speeds are crap -- all that's not gonna work.
There is so much potential with Google ads with what they're doing with automation. But if the quality if what you're putting out there is subpar, you're going to just throw money out the window because you're not going to position well. You're going to overpay for your cost-per-click, and then ultimately you're going to lose traction.
