im sorry, i 100% get what the op meant, but its so wild reading “the r slur has returned” implying that it ever left, when my brothers and i were called that our entire lives by most generations, especially our own
#sometimes i feel like i live in a different world from other ppl entirely. wtf do you mean you think autistic ppl are celebrated by society#and then i realize some ppl are drawing a hard line between autism and intellectual disabilities (bc autistic ppl deserve respect#and people with IDs dont) and like wow#not that i have an intellectual disability but i grew up surrounded by people who did and let me tell you#the revulsion on peoples faces was always there#and i wouldnt be shocked if several ppl on this site got shifty and uncomfortable whenever they had to interact with them#not saying thats what op of the last post is doing btw. idk im just talking now#echoed voice
