pests too are another that thing that fucked me up when i first got into the hobby and so my other advice is: everyone will tell you neem works for everything, and it kind of does, but it stinks and can burn leaves and you should simply get systemic granules. it's fine*
#*for indoor potted plants since there's no runoff into the environment#if you are worried about pesticides#however they do NOT make the plant surface toxic#they still only affect biting/chewing insects#and i would say even more responsibly than neem because any spiders/helpful preds WILL be nuked on first application#vs granules that go into the soil and won't touch them
