finally finished my xenoblade replay, did all side quests, completed all heart to hearts n the entire collectopedia so im finally on to future connected… and uh. man. it is NOT off to a strong start

#both story and gameplay wise :[#im just here for nene ig.#but man. sad times #maybe it’ll turn around but mmm #rlly wish they stuck ANY character other then shulk to b melias companion #cus out of all her bonds her interactions w shulk always felt the least interesting a dynamic to me #also now that he doesnt have visions anymore like What’s The Point having m here for gameplay #also i get that visions had to go story wise but man it makes the gameplay a lot less fun #also the story feels REAL weird #cus it seems to b going over themes so far that.. have at least been brought up before in side quests n heart to hearts #n were acting like they haven’t happened #so ok. maybe no side quests were done in canon. which makes it feel a lil insulting for those who did do m but whatever #but then you have the fucking. high entia kid? n they mention his side quests having been done?#WHAT R WE GOING W HERE IT MAKES NO SENSE #in my ideal world i think this would’ve been fiora and melia going on this quest together #i think that would’ve allowed for some way more interesting interactions #also while nene n kino having been apparently taught by reyn n sharla is rlly cute in story #it does mean theyre stuck. playing reyn n sharla in combat #and i way prefer dunban as a tank and riki as a healer #so kjdhfskj. theyre not helping the combat experience here #shulk (visionless) not-reyn (the lesser tank) not-sharla (the lesser heal/debuffer/buffer) melia (i just dont enjoy playing her)#hand crafted against me specifically… pensive emoji #at least nene as a character is REAL cute. i hold her #tho i do kinda hate everyones voices but shulk in this one. had to turn m off they were not helping the exprience #the nopon dont sound like Weird Creatures they sound like humans doin weird grammar #melia sounds. well. i thought it was a different voice actor till i looked it up #her voice is MUCH deeper now #ribbon rambles #oh also while i miss chain attacks n preferred those gameplay wise #the nopon prospectors ARE cute. i love my little train of folks waddling behind me
