I couldn't tell you why, but I have always thought that Menelaus was the older brother of Agamemnon rather than the younger. Maybe something to do with Agamemnon's bratty entitled behaviour?

Either way I think it is wild that this is like my fifth or sixth time reading the Iliad and I have only just understood the Atridae birth order.
