sometimes i get so sucked into my own headcanons and interpretations of canon that i forget other people don't share my vision
#just saw someone make an edit of enchanted!merlin succeeding in attacking arthur and then running back to morgana#and someone in the comments was like 'gaius and gwen didnt do anything merlin ran into the wall'#bc ops caption was 'au if gwen and gaius didn't stop merlin'#and they responded 'well then au if merlin was a capable assassin'#i was so entranced by the idea of merlin fighting off the fomorroh and sabotaging it's assassination attempts#that i forgot people believe that merlin was just That Clumsy so he was a shit assassin#another - i got a comment on my most recent fic of someone saying 'idk how they (merthur) will follow through with having grandkids' or wtv#and i was just like. its obvious?? genderfluid!merlin can just use magic to transform his body?? but i forget not everyone thinks like me#LMAO
