chapter summary: Joel and you perhaps can have a happy ending.
w.c: 14,6k
warnings: angst, fluff, smut and poorly writing because I wrote in a rush and no proofreading.
a/n: Thank you to each one of you who read and enjoyed this fic. The amount of love was overwhelming and I'm thankful for it. This is the last chapter and I tried to make everyone happy with it. By the end, I realized I lost the main plot, but still, it was fun to write but I got bored AND I became a people pleaser with this chapter. Perhaps there will be more of them, some drabbles or things, but thank you so much for reading. I don't think I will write more series for a while, only one shots. Reblogs and comments are always appreciated. Happy reading, so much love for you. 💌

You felt the beating of your heart racing as Joel kept staring at you. Those soft brown eyes on looking at you with delicate love now seemed to be a picture you wanted to save and remember as along as you could.
You wanted to find that sense of belonging to someone in a romantic way again, to be protected, to be loved.
“Good morning, Joel” You smiled at him
Joel shifted closer, wrapping his arms around you in a gentle embrace, pulling you against his chest. You nestled into his warmth, feeling safe and content in his arms.
Joel’s hand gently traced patterns on your back, and he chuckled softly. “You know… we forgot to go to Tommy’s last night,” he said, a hint of amusement in his tone.
You looked up at him, a playful smile tugging at your lips. “I think we had more important things on our minds,” you teased lightly, your fingers brushing against his chest.
Joel’s smile widened, and he leaned down to press a kiss to your forehead. “Yeah, I guess we did,” he agreed, his voice filled with warmth.
You laughed softly, feeling a sense of lightness and happiness that had been missing for so long. “I’m sure they’ll understand,” you said, resting your head against his shoulder.
Joel sighed contentedly, holding you a little tighter. “I’m just glad you’re here.” he murmured; his voice filled with a quiet intensity. “That’s all that matters.”
But as he kept his arms wrapped around you, you felt your thought drifting away. You knew you should feel content, but you couldn’t help but think this was a moment of weakness or that may everything you had lived with Joel had been like this.
You didn’t feel the warmth enveloping your heart, but a heavy sense of guilt settled in your chest, weighing you down.
Your thoughts drifted back to your fiancé, to your son. The memories of them were still vivid, the pain of their loss still fresh. How could you let yourself find comfort in someone else’s arms? It felt like a betrayal, like you were somehow dishonoring their memory by moving on. The guilt gnawed at you, making it hard to fully embrace the happiness that Joel was offering.
And then there was Lori. The guilt of her leaving Jackson, of the part you played in her departure, hung over you like a shadow. She had been hurt, her actions driven by a broken heart, and now she was gone because of it. You had wanted her gone, yes, but now that it had happened, it didn’t feel right.
You shifted slightly in Joel’s arms, the weight of your thoughts making it hard to stay still. Joel noticed, his grip on you loosening just enough for him to look at you, concern flickering in his eyes. “What’s wrong?” he asked softly, his voice laced with worry.
“Nothing,” you lied, avoiding his gaze as you tried to push the guilt and unease to the back of your mind.
Joel didn’t press you further, but the concern in his eyes didn’t fade. Instead, he shifted slightly, his grip on you loosening just enough to give you some space. “Do you want to sleep a little bit more?” he asked, his tone gentle, as if he was trying to offer you an escape from whatever was troubling you.
You shook your head, not trusting yourself to speak. The weight of your emotions felt overwhelming, and the last thing you wanted was to burden Joel with your fears and doubts. But the way he was looking at you, with so much care and understanding, made it hard to keep everything bottled up.
Joel’s hand found yours again, his fingers lacing with yours in a comforting grip. “You don’t have to talk about it if you’re not ready,” he said softly, his thumb brushing over the back of your hand. “Sleep a little bit more. I’ll wake you up, later”
You hesitated for a moment, then gave in to the exhaustion that had been weighing on you. You turned back onto the pillow, feeling Joel’s warm presence beside you, and let your eyes close.
As you drifted off, you felt Joel’s hand still holding yours, his thumb gently stroking your skin.
A little while later, you woke up to the sound of hushed voices in the next room. Blinking sleepily, you realized Joel was no longer beside you. The warm spot where he'd been lying was now cool, and the faint murmur of conversation piqued your curiosity.
Quietly, you got out of bed, slipping on the oversized shirt Joel had given you the night before. You moved toward the door, careful not to make any noise as you approached the source of the voices.
You leaned closer to the doorway, straining to hear the conversation.
“I just want to make sure she’s okay,” Joel said, his voice tinged with concern.
Tommy sighed, the sound carrying the weight of the situation. “I saw her this morning,” he replied. “She was at that old cabin near the outskirts—the one we used to take Ellie to when she was younger.”
Joel was silent for a moment, likely processing the information. “And she’s alright? She didn’t try to come back?”
Tommy hesitated before answering. “She seemed... lost, Joel. But she didn’t make any move to come back to Jackson. She knows she’s not welcome here anymore, but she’s not exactly stable either.”
You felt a pang of guilt hearing this. Despite everything that had happened, part of you couldn’t help but feel sorry for Lori. She had lost so much, and now she was completely alone.
“Do you think she’ll stay out there?” Joel asked, his voice quieter now, almost as if he was speaking more to himself than to Tommy.
Tommy let out a weary breath. “I don’t know. She’s unpredictable. But as long as she’s not causing trouble in Jackson, we might be able to avoid any more problems.”
Joel didn’t respond right away, and you could feel the tension hanging in the air. You knew he was torn, worried about what Lori might do next but also reluctant to push her further away.
Tommy spoke up again, “I know you care about her- “
“Don’t” Joel cut in sharply, his voice rough with emotion. He took a deep breath, trying to steady himself. "It's not about that, Tommy”
Tommy nodded, understanding the weight behind Joel's words. "You can't carry all this on your own. She made her choices, Joel. You can't save everyone."
Joel looked away; the strain evident in his clenched jaw. He wanted to protect everyone, to make sure no one else got hurt, but deep down, he knew Tommy was right. Lori was a wild card, and he couldn't control what she would do.
Tommy placed a hand on Joel's shoulder, his voice gentler now. "You’ve got something good here, Joel. Don’t let the past mess that up."
Joel sighed, his shoulders slumping slightly as he ran a hand through his hair. "I know, Tommy. I just… I don’t want her to come back and cause more trouble."
Tommy squeezed his shoulder, then released him, giving Joel space to process. "We'll keep an eye on her. If she comes back, we'll deal with it. But right now, you need to focus on what’s in front of you."
Joel finally nodded, the tension slowly easing out of his body. "Yeah, you're right."
But as the conversation faded, you stepped out from where you'd been standing, your heart heavy with the burden of what you'd overheard. You didn’t want to cause more strain between Joel and Tommy, but the mention of Lori staying out there worried you just as much as it did Joel.
you quietly stepped out from the shadows of the hallway, making your presence known. Tommy’s eyes flickered towards you, surprise momentarily crossing his face before it softened into something more understanding.
Joel noticed Tommy’s gaze shift and turned to see you standing there. His expression instantly softened, but there was a flicker of worry in his eyes, as if he was concerned about what you might have overheard.
Tommy offered a small nod in your direction, a silent acknowledgment that you were part of this now, whether Joel fully accepted it or not. "I’ll give you two a moment," Tommy said, his tone gentle as he glanced back at Joel.
"Thanks," Joel muttered, his eyes never leaving yours.
Tommy patted Joel on the back before turning to leave. As he passed by you, he gave you a reassuring smile, one that carried the weight of unspoken support. Then, with a final glance at Joel, Tommy walked out, leaving the two of you alone.
The room was quiet now, the only sound being the faint crackle of the fire in the hearth. Joel’s gaze was heavy on you, filled with concern and an emotion you couldn’t quite place. He took a tentative step towards you, his hand reaching out as if he was unsure whether he should touch you.
"Hey," he said softly, his voice low and full of meaning.
"Hey," you replied, your voice barely above a whisper.
Joel took another step closer, his fingers brushing against your arm. "You heard us, didn’t you?"
You nodded; your heart still heavy with everything you’d overheard. "Yeah, I did."
Joel let out a slow breath, his hand sliding down your arm to take your hand in his. "I didn’t want you to worry."
You hesitated for a moment before stepping closer to Joel, letting him wrap his arms around you. His embrace was warm, but the tension in the air was undeniable.
After a few moments, you pulled back slightly, looking up at him with a serious expression. “Joel,” you began, your voice quiet but firm, “where’s this cabin Tommy was talking about? Where did Lori go?”
Joel’s expression tightened, and he sighed heavily. “It’s an old place, just outside Jackson. We used to use it as a lookout spot, but it’s been abandoned for a while. Lori… she’s been staying there since she left.”
You nodded, processing the information. “Is she okay?”
Joel rubbed the back of his neck, clearly conflicted. “Tommy saw her this morning. She’s alive. That’s what matters for now.”
You felt a knot forming in your stomach, a mix of guilt and concern churning inside you. “I feel like this is my fault,” you admitted, your voice barely above a whisper.
Joel immediately shook his head, his grip on your arms tightening slightly. “Don’t you dare think that,” he said, his voice filled with conviction. “Lori made her own choices. You did what you had to do to protect yourself. This isn’t on you.”
“But she’s out there, alone,” you argued, the worry evident in your tone.
Joel’s expression softened, and he cupped your face in his hands, his thumbs gently brushing your cheeks. “You didn’t push her away. She wasn’t safe to be around, and you know that. We can’t save everyone, no matter how much we might want to.”
Joel’s eyes flickered with something unreadable, a mix of emotions he seemed to be wrestling with. He didn’t answer right away, as if he was carefully choosing his words. When he finally spoke, his voice was quiet but steady. “Lori… she was important, yeah. But not in the way you’re thinking.”
You felt your heart tighten in your chest, but you held his gaze, needing to hear the rest.
“She was a part of my life, a part of my past,” Joel continued, his hands still gently holding your face. “But that’s what it is—my past. We went through things together, things that bonded us in a way, but it was never like this.” His eyes softened as he looked at you, his voice dropping to almost a whisper. “What I feel for you… it’s different. It’s real, and it’s now.”
You searched his face for any sign of doubt, but all you saw was sincerity and something deeper—something that made your heart ache in a way that was both painful and comforting.
“Lori’s out there because of her choices, not because of anything you did,” Joel added, his thumbs brushing against your skin in a soothing motion. “And if she ever decides to come back, we’ll deal with it together. But right now, I’m here with you, and that’s what matters to me.”
You nodded, feeling a sense of relief mixed with lingering guilt. “I just… I don’t want to be the reason she’s hurting.”
Joel shook his head again, his expression firm. “You’re not. And you can’t carry that burden, okay? She left you out there to die.”
Joel’s words hit you like a punch to the gut, the reality of the situation sinking in even deeper. He wasn’t sugarcoating it—he was telling you the harsh truth you’d been trying to avoid. Lori had left you to fend for yourself and abandoned you in a way that had nearly cost you everything.
“She made her choices,” Joel continued, his voice steady but filled with emotion. “And those choices weren’t about you—they were about her. She’s got her demons, her reasons, but that doesn’t excuse what she did. You did nothing wrong by protecting yourself.”
You looked down, the guilt still gnawing at you, but Joel’s hand moved to your chin, gently lifting your face so you had to meet his eyes. “Listen to me,” he said, his voice soft but unwavering. “You’re here, with me, because you survived. Because you fought to live. Don’t let her take that away from you.”
A tear slipped down your cheek, and Joel was quick to wipe it away with his thumb, his touch tender. “I know it’s hard,” he whispered. “I know it’s gonna take time to let go of the guilt. But you have to try, for your sake. For us.”
You nodded, feeling a little more of that heavy weight lift off your shoulders. Joel was right—you couldn’t let Lori’s choices define you or what you had now with him.
“I’m trying,” you said, your voice trembling. “I’m really trying.”
Joel’s expression softened even more, and he leaned in, pressing a gentle kiss to your lips, as if sealing a promise. “That’s all I ask,” he murmured against your lips.
You kissed him back, but this time his lips didn’t taste to a sweet fruit you crave on summer but like the bitter liquor you drank after a hard day as it a sip could take your demons away.
Joel pulled back from the kiss, his gaze lingering on yours with a mix of concern and affection. He could sense the turmoil still brewing inside you, even as you tried to put on a brave face. He sighed, brushing a hand through his hair, clearly reluctant to leave you like this.
“I’ve got to head out for patrol,” he said, his voice laced with reluctance. “But please… don’t do anything stupid while I’m gone.” His eyes searched yours, silently pleading with you to stay safe, to not let your guilt drive you to something reckless.
You nodded, giving him a small, tight-lipped smile. “I’ll be fine,” you assured him, but even as the words left your mouth, you felt the knot in your stomach tighten.
Joel hesitated, as if debating whether to push further, but eventually, he nodded. “I’ll see you later,” he said softly, his fingers lingering on your arm for a moment longer before he turned to leave.
You watched him go, your heart heavy with the weight of everything unsaid. As soon as the door closed behind him, you felt the quiet settle in, amplifying the thoughts swirling in your mind. You couldn’t shake the feeling that you needed to do something—something more than just waiting and hoping things would get better.
Your mind kept drifting back to Lori. Despite everything Joel had said, the guilt gnawed at you, relentless and unyielding. She was out there, alone, and even though you knew she had made her choices, you couldn’t help but feel responsible.
The more you thought about it, the more you realized you couldn’t just sit here and do nothing. You needed to see her, to talk to her, to try and make things right in whatever way you could. Maybe it was foolish, maybe it was reckless, but you felt like it was something you had to do.
You couldn’t bear the thought of a woman out there alone, just as you were not long time ago. You didn’t want anyone to go through that pain.
Without giving yourself time to second-guess the decision, you got up and quickly changed into clothes more suitable for the cold outside. You grabbed your jacket, slipping it on as you glanced around your small home, making sure you had everything you needed.
You knew Joel would be furious if he found out what you were planning, but you couldn’t let that stop you. This was something you had to do, for your own peace of mind. You left the house, pulling the door shut behind you, and started making your way toward the outskirts of Jackson, where you knew the old cabin Lori had been staying in was located.
As you walked, the snow crunched beneath your boots, and the chill in the air seemed to match the cold knot of anxiety in your chest. You couldn’t predict how Lori would react to seeing you again, but you knew you had to try. You had to at least make the effort, even if it was dangerous, even if it meant facing whatever might come next on your own.
The journey to the old cabin where Lori was staying felt longer than it actually was. Every step you took was weighed down by the uncertainty of what awaited you. The cold bit at your skin, the wind whispering through the trees like a warning, but you pressed on, driven by a need to confront what had been gnawing at you since she left.
The cabin finally came into view, tucked away in a secluded area surrounded by thick trees. It looked as worn and isolated as you remembered, with smoke lazily curling from the chimney, indicating that someone was inside. You hesitated at the edge of the clearing, taking a moment to gather your thoughts and calm the racing of your heart.
With a deep breath, you moved forward, your footsteps careful and deliberate as you approached the door. You paused, hand hovering over the wooden surface, the reality of what you were about to do sinking in. But there was no turning back now. You had come this far, and you needed to see it through.
You knocked lightly, the sound echoing in the stillness. For a moment, there was no response, and you wondered if she was even there. But then, you heard movement from inside—a shuffling of feet, the creak of old floorboards—and the door slowly opened.
Lori stood in the doorway, her eyes widening in surprise when she saw you. She looked different, more worn and tired than the last time you had seen her, but there was still a fierceness in her gaze, a hardness that hadn’t been there before. She didn’t say anything at first, just stared at you as if trying to decide whether to slam the door in your face or let you in.
“What are you doing here?” she finally asked, her voice flat, but with an edge of suspicion.
You swallowed, trying to steady your nerves. “I came to talk,” you replied, forcing yourself to meet her gaze.
“Can I come in?”Lori’s eyes narrowed slightly, and for a moment, you thought she might refuse. But then, with a sigh, she stepped aside, allowing you to enter. The cabin was as sparse as you remembered, with only the bare essentials scattered around—a small table, a few chairs, a cot in the corner, and the fire crackling in the hearth. It was warm inside, but the tension between you made the air feel heavy.
Lori closed the door behind you, crossing her arms as she leaned against the wall, watching you with a guarded expression. “Does Joel know you’re here?” she asked, her tone laced with suspicion.
You shook your head. “No,” you admitted. “I came on my own.”
Lori raised an eyebrow, clearly skeptical of your motives. “Why? What do you want?”
“I want to talk,” you said, your voice steady despite the nervousness you felt. “I wanted to see if… if there’s any way, we can work this out.”
Lori’s expression hardened at your words, and she shook her head almost immediately. “I’m not going back,” she said firmly. “There’s nothing for me there.”
“Lori, please,” you implored, taking a step closer. “You don’t have to do this alone. We can find a way to make it work. You don’t have to stay out here, isolated from everyone.”
She let out a bitter laugh, shaking her head again. “You think it’s that simple?
“I don’t think it’s simple,” you replied, your voice softening. “But I don’t think it’s impossible either. We’ve all made mistakes. We’ve all done things we regret. But that doesn’t mean you have to keep punishing yourself.”
Lori’s gaze softened for just a moment, a flicker of something vulnerable passing through her eyes, but it was quickly replaced by that same hard look. “You don’t know what you’re talking about,” she muttered, turning away from you and staring into the fire.
“I know you’re hurting,” you said, taking another step closer. “I know you feel like you’ve lost everything. But running away won’t fix it. It won’t make the pain go away.”
Lori’s shoulders slumped slightly, and for the first time since you arrived, she seemed to waver. She didn’t respond, just stood there, staring into the flames as if searching for answers in the flickering light.
“You don’t love him,” Lori said, her tone laced with bitterness. “I bet every time you see Joel, you wish he were the one you lost when this world went to shit.”
Her words hit you like a slap, the accusation stinging deep. You stood there, unable to respond immediately, the truth of her statement gnawing at you. Lori finally looked up; her eyes hard as they met yours.
“Am I wrong?” she pressed; her gaze unwavering.
You swallowed hard, trying to find the right words, but the guilt you had been carrying made it difficult. “It’s not like that,” you finally said, your voice shaky.
“Isn’t it?” Lori challenged, standing up and taking a step closer to you.
You felt your chest tighten, her words cutting deeper than you expected. “Lori, you don’t understand,” you started, but she cut you off.
“No, you don’t understand,” Lori spat, her voice rising. “You’re just using him to fill the void left by whoever you lost. You’re not in love with him—you’re in love with a memory.”
Her words hung in the air, heavy and suffocating. You could feel your resolve crumbling, the truth in her accusation tearing at you. But deep down, you knew it wasn’t entirely true. Yes, you had lost someone, and yes, the pain of that loss was still with you. But what you felt for Joel was real.
She took a step closer, her eyes fierce and unyielding. “I know it because I had my Joel before,” she continued, her voice breaking slightly as she spoke. “I lost him when the outbreak happened, and I spent years crying over him, wishing he was still here.”
You could see the pain in her eyes, the same pain that had haunted you for so long. “And then Joel came along,” Lori went on, her voice now softer, tinged with regret. “I wanted Joel to be my lover because I felt broken, and he was the only one who made me feel whole again. But it wasn’t fair to him, and it wasn’t fair to me.”
You felt a pang of empathy for Lori, understanding now that you weren’t the only one struggling with feelings of loss and confusion. But that didn’t make her words any easier to hear.
“Lori,” you began, your voice trembling as you tried to find the right words, “I know what you’re saying. I know I’ve been holding on to the past, and maybe I haven’t been fair to Joel. But what I feel for him...I love him and he loves me.”
Lori's expression shifted, the hardness in her eyes softening ever so slightly. You could see the conflict within her, the struggle between the pain she carried and the understanding she was trying to find.
"The world is too shitty for us to be fighting over a man," you continued, your voice steadier now. “We’ve all lost so much, and I know you’re hurting too. But this... this isn’t worth tearing each other apart.”
Lori looked away, her gaze falling to the floor as she let out a long breath. “You’re right,” she admitted, her voice barely above a whisper. “We’ve been through too much to waste our energy on this.”
There was a long silence between you, the tension slowly ebbing away as the weight of your shared pain settled between you. Finally, Lori looked up, her eyes meeting yours with a mixture of resignation and acceptance.
“I just... I just wanted to feel like I mattered again,” she said, her voice breaking. “And Joel... he made me feel that way, even if it was just for a little while.”
You took a step closer, your heart aching for her. “You do matter, Lori. To Joel, to Jackson. But you can’t find your worth in someone else. You have to find it in yourself.”
Lori nodded slowly, her eyes glistening with unshed tears. “I know,” she whispered. “I know that now.”
The two of you stood there for a moment, the crackling of the fire the only sound in the cabin. It wasn’t forgiveness, not completely, but it was a step towards understanding—a fragile truce in a world that had taken so much from both of you.
“Come back to Jackson,” you said gently. “It doesn’t have to be like this. You don’t have to be alone.”
You looked at Lori, seeing the pain and confusion in her eyes. The firelight cast flickering shadows across her face, highlighting the raw vulnerability she was trying to hide. Her question hung in the air, heavy with the weight of what had happened between you.
“I know what you did,” you said quietly, your voice steady despite the memories that threatened to surface. “And I won’t pretend it didn’t hurt, or that I wasn’t scared. But I also know that this world has twisted all of us in ways we never could have imagined.”
Lori’s gaze dropped to the floor, shame and regret evident in her expression. You took a deep breath, knowing that what you were about to say would expose a part of yourself you usually kept hidden.
“I’m doing this because I don’t want to be the kind of person this world wants me to be. I don’t want to be consumed by hate, or let fear rule my decisions. And I don’t want you to be that person either. We’ve lost so much, Lori. But we don’t have to lose ourselves.”
She looked up at you, her eyes wide and searching, as if she was trying to understand why you would offer her this chance at redemption. “But how can you forgive me?” she whispered, her voice trembling. “After everything I did... how can you just let it go?”
“I’m not letting that go,” you replied, your voice soft but firm. “But we keep moving forward. We can’t change what’s happened, but we can choose what we do next. I’m choosing to believe that there’s still good in you, and that you deserve a chance to find it again.”
Lori blinked back tears, her tough exterior cracking just enough for you to see the pain and guilt she carried. “I don’t know if I can,” she admitted, her voice barely audible.
“You can,” you assured her. “It won’t be easy, but you can. And you won’t have to do it alone. Come back to Jackson. We can figure it out together.”
Lori hesitated, her eyes flickering with uncertainty. “And what about Joel?” she asked, her voice laced with fear. “What if he doesn’t want me back?”
“Joel’s angry,” you said honestly, “but he’s also someone who cares deeply about the people in his life. If you show him that you’re willing to change, I think he’ll find a way to understand. But you have to be willing to take that first step. Both of you will.” You paused, “Not romantically anymore, but as people living in the same place.”
Lori’s gaze lingered on you for a long moment, as if weighing your words. Finally, she nodded, a small, tentative movement that signaled her agreement. “I’ll try,” she whispered, her voice shaky but resolute. “I don’t know if I can do it, but I’ll try.”
“That’s all anyone can ask,” you said, a small smile tugging at the corners of your lips. “Let’s go back to Jackson. Together.”
“They voted me out” she said.
Your smile faltered as Lori’s words sank in. The realization of what that meant hit you like a punch to the gut. Being voted out of Jackson was more than just being asked to leave—it was a declaration that the community no longer trusted you, no longer believed you were safe to have around.
“They… they really did that?” you asked, your voice a mix of disbelief and sadness.
Lori nodded, her expression a mixture of bitterness and resignation. “Yeah. After what happened with you, and… everything else. They decided I wasn’t worth the risk.”
You could see the hurt in her eyes, the pain of being rejected by the only place that could offer any semblance of safety. And despite everything she had done, a part of you couldn’t help but feel sorry for her.
“Lori, I’m so sorry,” you said softly, the weight of her situation pressing down on you. “But maybe… maybe we can talk to them. I can vouch for you. Tell them you’re willing to make things right.”
Lori shook her head, a sad smile on her lips. “It’s too late for that. Even if you could convince Joel, the rest of them won’t listen. They’ve made up their minds.”
You didn’t know what to say. The idea of leaving someone out there alone, especially someone who had been part of your community, felt wrong on every level. But you also knew how fragile trust was in this world, and how quickly it could be lost.
“Then what are you going to do?” you asked, your voice laced with concern.
“I don’t know,” Lori admitted, her shoulders slumping as she wrapped her arms around herself. “Maybe find another group, if I can. Or just… survive on my own. It’s not like I have a lot of options.”
You took a deep breath, your mind racing for any solution that might keep Lori safe. "Come with me," you suggested, your voice urgent. "If they see us together, maybe it'll be different. Maybe they’ll understand, see that you’re willing to make things right."
Lori looked at you, her eyes filled with a mixture of surprise and doubt. For a moment, she seemed to consider it, her gaze flickering with a faint hope. But then she shook her head, her expression hardening as she looked away.
"No," she said firmly. "I can’t do that. If I come back with you, they’ll just see it as me hiding behind you. It’ll look like I’m trying to manipulate my way back in, and that’s not going to work. They’ll never trust me again, not unless I earn it on my own terms."
Her words stung because you knew she was right. Trust was fragile, especially in a world where survival depended on it. The community needed to see that she was willing to stand on her own, to prove herself without relying on someone else’s influence.
"But what if something happens to you out here?" you pressed, the thought of leaving her alone gnawing at you. "You’re safer in Jackson, with people who can help you."
Lori smiled sadly, a wistful look in her eyes. "I know the risks. But if I’m ever going to have a chance at getting back what I’ve lost, I have to do it my way. I’d rather have their approval than their pity."
You could see the determination in her eyes, the fierce independence that had kept her alive for so long. It was the same trait that made her both strong and dangerous, and you realized that there was nothing you could say to change her mind.
"Just… be careful, okay?" you said finally, your voice thick with emotion. "I don’t want to see you get hurt."
"I will," Lori promised, her voice softening as she met your gaze. "And thank you, for coming out here. For trying."
You nodded, a heavy sense of resignation settling in your chest. There was nothing more you could do, no more words that could bridge the gap between the two of you. All you could do was hope that Lori would find her way, that she would survive long enough to prove herself.
With one last look at her, you turned and made your way back to Jackson, the weight of the conversation lingering heavily on your shoulders. You knew that this wasn’t the end, not for Lori, not for you. But for now, all you could do was return to the life you had built, even as the echoes of the past threatened to pull you back.
As you walked away, Lori stood at the entrance of the cabin, watching you go, her expression unreadable. The distance between you grew, both physical and emotional until she was just a figure in the distance, a reminder of the choices that had brought you both to this point.
You arrived back in Jackson, the familiar sight of the town coming into view as you crossed the threshold. It was quiet, the usual hustle and bustle of the day beginning to wind down as the sun dipped lower in the sky. But as you approached the center of town, you could hear raised voices—Joel's voice, loud and angry, cutting through the stillness.
Following the sound, you found Joel near the gates, his posture tense as he argued with a couple of men who had been on watch duty. His face was a mask of frustration and fury, his fists clenched at his sides as he spoke.
"What the hell were you thinking, letting her go out on her own?" Joel barked, his voice carrying an edge that sent a chill down your spine. "You know damn well how dangerous it is out there!"
One of the men, looking both intimidated and defensive, tried to respond. "We didn’t think she’d go far, Joel. She’s handled herself before—"
"That’s not the point!" Joel snapped, cutting him off. "It’s not about whether she can handle herself. It’s about the fact that you let her go out there alone without telling anyone!"
The other man, clearly trying to diffuse the situation, spoke up. "We’re sorry, Joel. We didn’t think—"
"No, you didn’t," Joel growled, his anger barely contained. "And if something had happened to her…"
The rest of his sentence trailed off as his gaze shifted, and he finally noticed you standing there. His eyes narrowed, but unlike usual, his expression didn’t soften. Instead, there was a mix of relief, anger, and something else you couldn’t quite place.
"Where the hell were you?" he demanded, his voice low and rough as he took a few steps toward you.
You opened your mouth to respond, but the weight of his anger and concern made the words stick in your throat.
"I was…" you hesitated, knowing how furious he would be when he found out. "I went to see Lori."
Joel's eyes widened in shock, and then they darkened with anger. He ran a hand through his hair, pacing slightly as he tried to process what you’d just said.
"You what?" he finally said, his voice dangerously quiet. "You went to see her? After everything that happened?"
You nodded, feeling small under the intensity of his gaze. "I had to. I needed to talk to her, to make sure she was okay. She’s out there, Joel, and she’s all alone."
Joel’s jaw tightened, and for a moment, he looked like he was struggling to keep his anger in check. "And you thought it was a good idea to go out there by yourself? Without telling anyone?"
"I knew you’d try to stop me," you admitted, your voice wavering. "I thought if I went alone, I could handle it."
"Handle it?" Joel echoed, incredulous. "Do you have any idea how reckless that was? What if something had happened to you? What if she had—"
"She didn’t," you interrupted, your voice firmer now. "I’m fine, Joel. I’m here, and nothing happened."
"But it could have," Joel shot back, his voice thick with frustration. "You can’t just go off like that, not when there’s so much at stake."
You could see the fear behind his anger, the desperation in his eyes as he looked at you. He was scared, not just for you but for everything you represented in his life. And that fear was fueling his anger now, making him lash out because he didn’t know how else to deal with it.
"I’m sorry," you said softly, stepping closer to him. "I didn’t mean to worry you. I just… I couldn’t leave things the way they were."
Joel sighed, his shoulders slumping as some of the tension drained out of him. He looked at you, his expression torn between anger and something softer, something more vulnerable.
"I can’t lose you," he finally said, his voice barely above a whisper.
“You won’t, but you need to stop being an asshole to everyone” you said.
Joel blinked, taken aback by your bluntness. He opened his mouth to respond but closed it just as quickly, clearly struggling with his emotions. Finally, he let out a heavy sigh, rubbing the back of his neck as he looked away.
“I know I’ve been hard on everyone,” he admitted, his voice low. “But it’s just... I’ve been so damn scared of losing you, of losing anyone else. It’s like every time I think about what could happen, I—”
“—you push people away,” you finished for him, your tone gentle but firm. “But, Joel, you can’t protect everyone by building walls around yourself. You have to let people in, let them help you. We’re all in this together, whether you like it or not.”
“And you need to stop being weak” he said, as if he had found the words to get back at you for something.
The words cut deep, and you felt a surge of anger and hurt rise within you. You took a step back, your hands clenching into fists at your sides as you struggled to keep your emotions in check.
“Stop being weak?” you echoed, your voice trembling slightly. “Joel, I’m trying my best to handle everything that’s been thrown at me. I’m not perfect, but I’m not weak.”
"Being weak got your boyfriend killed, right?" Joel’s words echoed in your mind, the pain of them mingling with the pain of your past. It felt like a knife twisting deeper into a wound that had never fully healed.
“Don’t you dare use that against me,” you said, your voice shaking with a mix of anger and sadness. “I’ve been trying my hardest to move forward, to deal with everything that’s happened. You can’t just throw my past in my face like that.”
Joel’s face softened, his eyes wide with regret as he saw the effect of his words. He reached out as if to bridge the gap you’d created, but you took another step back, shaking your head.
“No,” you said firmly. “You can’t do that. You can’t keep using my pain to justify your own frustrations. We both have our struggles, and we both have to face them. But that doesn’t mean we get to hurt each other.”
Joel’s shoulders slumped, his anger giving way to a weary sadness. “I’m sorry,” he said quietly, his voice breaking. “I didn’t mean to—”
“Just stop,” you interrupted, holding up a hand. "Are this how things are going to be between us?" You asked, no payback, just a tense voice.
"What do you mean?" he asked, regretting lacing on his voice.
"Every time I do something you don't like you will throw something at me?"
Joel looked away, his gaze shifting to the floor as if searching for the right words. The weight of your question seemed to hit him hard, and he struggled to meet your eyes again.
“No,” he finally said, his voice low. “That’s not what I want. I don’t want to hurt you. I just... I’m dealing with a lot, and sometimes I don’t know how to handle it. But that’s no excuse for pushing you away or being unfair.”
You could see the conflict in his eyes, the internal battle between his pain and his desire to make things right. It was clear he was struggling, and for a moment, you felt a pang of sympathy despite the hurt he’d caused.
“Then we need to figure out a way to communicate better,” you said, trying to keep your voice steady. “If we keep doing this, hurting each other, it’s never going to work. We need to be able to talk without tearing each other down.”
Joel nodded slowly, his expression softening. “You’re right. I’m sorry. I’ll work on it. I just… I need to do better. For us.”
“Joel, I… I think we need to take a step back,” you began, your voice gentle but firm. “We can’t be together as a couple right now. Not until we’ve both done some healing—on our own.”
Joel’s brow furrowed, and you could see the hurt flicker across his face. “What are you saying?” he asked quietly, his grip on your arms loosening.
“I’m saying that we’ve both been through so much, and we’re still carrying all that pain,” you explained. “It’s not fair to either of us to try to make this work when we’re still so broken inside. We’re just going to end up hurting each other more.”
Joel looked down; his jaw clenched tightly. He was silent for a moment, clearly struggling with your words.
Joel’s silence stretched, and you could see the emotions warring within him. Finally, he looked up, his eyes meeting yours with a mix of sadness and resignation.
“I get it,” he said quietly, his voice rough. “I do. It’s just… hard to accept. I don’t want to lose you, but I understand if we need to take a step back.”
You nodded, feeling a mix of relief and sadness. “I don’t want to lose you either, Joel. That’s why we need to do this. We need to heal separately so we can be better for each other, if we decide to come back together.”
Joel sighed heavily, rubbing a hand over his face. “I’ll try to do better. For myself, for us. And… Ill see the therapist. Maybe it’ll help.”
“I think it will,” you said softly, giving him a reassuring smile. “It’s a good step. For both of us.”
Joel nodded, his expression softening a bit. “Okay. I’ll give it a shot. But just know… I care about you. A lot.”
“I care about you too,” you replied, your voice wavering slightly. “And that’s why we need to do this. We need to take care of ourselves first.”
With a final, heavy sigh, Joel gave you a small, bittersweet smile. “Alright. I’ll see you around then.”
You took a step closer, closing the distance between you, and reached out to gently touch his face. His eyes met yours, filled with a mix of hope and uncertainty.
Before either of you could say more, you leaned in and pressed a soft, reassuring kiss to his lips. It was a gentle, tender gesture, a promise that despite the distance you both needed, the feelings between you remained.
Joel’s eyes closed momentarily as he returned the kiss, his grip on your shoulders tightening just enough to convey his emotions. When you finally pulled away, you could see the depth of his feelings in his gaze—a silent acknowledgment that while things were changing, the connection between you was still strong.
“Thank you,” he said quietly, his voice barely a whisper. “For understanding. For everything.”
You gave him a small, encouraging smile. “We’re both doing our best. That’s all we can ask of each other.”
Joel nodded, his expression softening with a mixture of gratitude and sadness. “I’ll see you around,” he repeated, a bit more firmly this time.
With one last, lingering look, he turned and walked away, leaving you standing there with a heavy heart and a sense of resolve. You knew it would be hard, but you were hopeful that with time and effort, both of you could find the healing you needed.

When Joel woke up, the world seemed disjointed, fragmented. He was greeted with concerned faces, but the familiarity of their voices felt distant. As the days passed, it became clear that Joel had lost significant portions of his memory. He struggled to piece together the events leading up to the ambush, and his sense of self was clouded by confusion.
The emotional impact was profound. Joel had always been someone who carried the weight of the world on his shoulders, but now he found himself grappling with an added burden: the loss of his own past. He could remember fragments—snippets of conversations, fleeting images—but the continuity of his life felt like a puzzle with missing pieces.
In the midst of this struggle, Joel faced the raw, unfiltered emotions that had been buried under layers of anger and pain. Without the anchor of his memories, he found himself confronted with feelings he had tried to suppress or ignore. The realization of what he had lost, both in terms of his past and his relationship with you, hit him with an intensity that left him vulnerable and exposed.
The days were a whirlwind of emotions for Joel. He felt anger at his own helplessness, frustration at not being able to remember crucial parts of his life, and deep sadness for the connections that seemed to have slipped away from him. His interactions with you were strained. He knew you were important, but the specifics of why were obscured by the fog of his memory.
Joel’s struggle was evident in the way he reached out for fragments of normalcy. He would sit quietly in the corners of the community, trying to piece together his past by observing others. Conversations with you were tinged with an awkward formality, as if he were trying to bridge a gap that couldn’t be fully crossed.
As time went on, Joel began to lean on you more, searching for comfort in your presence. Your patience and support became a lifeline for him, a way to ground himself amidst the confusion. He struggled to reconcile the past he could no longer fully recall with the present he was living through.
You, too, found yourself grappling with the new reality. Seeing Joel in such a fragile state was heartbreaking. You wanted to help him, to be there for him, but the dynamics of your relationship had shifted. The boundaries you had set were still in place, but the lines between them were now blurred by Joel’s struggle and your own feelings of helplessness.
Despite the pain and frustration, there were moments of clarity and connection. The more Joel leaned on you, the more he began to remember the warmth of your presence, the comfort of your touch. Though the memories of your shared past were fragmented, the emotional bond between you was something that transcended the gaps in his recollection.

Joel’s journey through therapy was arduous. Each session was a test of patience and introspection, peeling back layers of his past and the wounds he had kept buried. The process was slow, and the progress often seemed incremental. He confronted painful memories and learned to navigate his emotions, guided by the therapist’s steady support.
Despite the difficulties, Joel showed up for each session, driven by a desire to heal and a growing understanding of the importance of addressing his issues. He learned to articulate his feelings and confront his fears. The therapy sessions began to shift something within him—a deeper recognition of his own vulnerabilities and a burgeoning sense of hope.
In the midst of this, Joel's thoughts frequently returned to Lori and you. He knew that if there was any chance of reconciliation or understanding, it had to start with bringing Lori back into the fold. His own healing process had taught him the value of second chances and the importance of confronting unresolved issues.
One crisp morning, after several weeks of therapy, Joel set out to find Lori. He had been keeping tabs on her location, and while he understood the risks, he was determined to make things right. When he finally located her, she was in a makeshift camp on the outskirts of a small, struggling community.
“Lori,” Joel said, his voice carrying concern as he approached her. “We need to talk.”
Lori looked up; her expression wary but curious. “Joel,” she said, her voice tinged with both surprise and apprehension. “What are you doing here?”
Joel took a deep breath, trying to find the right words. “I’ve been working on myself. Trying to make things right. And I think... I think it’s time for us to address what happened between us.”
Lori’s eyes softened slightly, though she remained guarded. “And what does that mean?”
“It means,” Joel said, taking a step closer, “that I want to try and bring you back to Jackson. There’s a chance for reconciliation, but it starts with making amends.”
Lori studied him for a long moment, the hesitation clear in her eyes. “Why would I go back there? They’ve already decided I’m not welcome.”
Joel nodded, understanding her reluctance. “They might have voted you out, but people change. And I think there’s a chance for you to make things right. I can vouch for you. I’ve been through a lot of my own healing, and I believe in second chances.” He paused “And I believe on her” he said, referring to you.
Lori’s gaze softened further, the walls she had built around herself starting to crumble. “And what if they don’t want me back? What if they still see me as a threat?”
“We won’t know until we try,” Joel said firmly. “I believe in giving people a chance, and I’m willing to stand up for you.”
After a long pause, Lori finally nodded. “Alright. If you’re willing to vouch for me, I’ll give it a try.”
Joel offered a small, hopeful smile. “Okay. Let’s head back to Jackson.”
The journey back was quiet but filled with a tentative sense of hope. When they arrived, the tension was palpable. The community was wary, and the reception was far from warm. However, Joel’s presence and the commitment he showed in standing by Lori’s side made a difference.
Lori had to prove herself, and the community had to come to terms with her return. Not only because she was a threat to you in a moment. But the fact that she was given a chance was a testament to the power of redemption and the possibility of new beginnings.
Joel’s own healing continued as well, bolstered by his actions and the steps he took to make amends. His relationship with you remained on a path of gradual recovery. While there were still challenges to face, the progress made was a testament to the strength of the bonds that held the community together and the resilience of the individuals within it.
In the end, Joel’s journey was a reflection of the broader struggles and triumphs of a world striving to rebuild itself, one step at a time.
while you were in the infirmary tending to a few minor injuries and organizing supplies, Joel walked in with Lori at his side. The atmosphere was quiet, the usual hum of activity in the infirmary providing a backdrop to the scene.
You looked up from your work, your hands wiping off the last traces of blood from a bandage, and saw Joel approaching. A lump formed in your throat as you took in the sight of Lori walking behind him, her posture guarded but resolute.
“Hey,” Joel said, his voice carrying a note of cautious optimism. “I brought Lori here for you to check on her. She’s been having some issues with her leg.”
You nodded, trying to mask your apprehension. “You’re back” you said, feeling a lump forming on your throat.
Lori nodded as she moved towards the examination table with a hesitant but determined stride. She glanced at you, her expression a mixture of anxiety and hope.
you greeted her softly, trying to sound as neutral as possible. “How’s it been? What happened to your leg?”
Lori took a deep breath, her voice steady despite the uncertainty. “It’s been a rough few days. Just a scrape that’s gotten worse.”
As you began to examine her leg, you noticed Joel standing nearby. You could feel the weight of the situation pressing down on you, anxiety mingled with a sense of unease as you tried to focus on the task at hand.
“Looks like it’s inflamed,” you said, carefully cleaning the wound. “I’ll need to get some antibiotics on it and make sure it doesn’t get any worse.”
“Thank you,” Lori said quietly, her eyes meeting yours. “I know it’s been complicated between us.”
You offered her a small, strained smile. “It’s okay. We all have our struggles. I’m just glad to see you making an effort.”
Joel watched the interaction closely, his expression a mixture of concern and relief. He understood the complexities of the situation and was grateful for the chance to make things right.
As you finished treating Lori’s leg, you couldn’t help but feel a pang of discomfort. The process of healing was never straightforward, and the emotional weight of the past few weeks lingered in the air.
“Thanks,” Lori said, standing up with a tentative smile. “I appreciate it.”
“No problem,” you replied, trying to sound as sincere as possible. “If you need anything else, just let me know.”
Joel gave you a small, appreciative nod. “Thanks for taking care of her.”
You watched as Joel and Lori left the infirmary, a mix of emotions swirling within you. The path to reconciliation and healing was long and often challenging, but moments like these—where you faced the past and worked towards a better future—were steps in the right direction.
You hoped that in time, things would settle into a new normal. For now, you focused on the present, knowing that the journey of healing for everyone involved was far from over.
As you were lost in your own thoughts, you didn’t hear the steps approaching.
Joel walked back into the infirmary a few minutes after leaving with Lori. His demeanor was different now, less tentative and more determined. He approached with a sense of urgency, his expression revealing his frustration and a touch of exasperation.
You looked up from the stack of bandages you had been organizing, noticing the intensity in his gaze. The uncertainty and lingering doubts you had been grappling with seemed to settle around you, making your heart race a little faster.
“Hey,” Joel said, his voice cutting through the quiet of the infirmary.
“Hey” you said, avoiding his gaze. “I see Lori is back” you added, not wanting to sound bitter because you weren’t. You could see everyone was trying to make better version of themselves.
Her, Joel and you.
There were broken versions hoping to be fixed.
Joel’s eyes followed your gaze to the door, still looking a bit out of place in the infirmary. He took a deep breath before speaking, clearly trying to manage his frustration.
“Yeah,” he said, his tone carrying a tint of relief and irritation. “She’s back. I know it’s been a lot to take in, and I get that you’re unsure- “
“I’m not.” You said, voice trembling even when you felt sure about your feelings towards Joel.
Joel's expression softened as he heard the tremble in your voice. He stepped closer, his frustration giving way to concern and understanding. “Then what is it?” he asked gently, searching your eyes for the answer. “You seem sad today.”
Joel’s frustration was evident as he took a deep breath, trying to keep his tone even. “I’m tired of this,” he began, his voice steady but laced with underlying frustration. “I’m tired of you doubting what we have, of you questioning whether or not it’s worth it. I’m tired of feeling like I’m the only one trying to make things work.”
Your gaze fell to the floor, feeling the weight of his words. You had been struggling with your own fears and uncertainties, and it was clear that Joel’s patience was wearing thin.
“Joel, it’s not that I don’t care,” you said quietly. “It’s just—”
“Just what?” Joel interrupted, his voice rising slightly. “Just that you’re scared? I get it, I really do. But we can’t keep going in circles like this. I’m here, and I’m trying. But if you’re not on the same page, if you’re not willing to fight for us, then what are we even doing?”
His words hit hard, but they also struck a chord of truth. You had been hesitant, afraid of getting hurt again, and it was affecting your ability to fully commit to the relationship. Joel’s frustration was palpable, and you knew that this conversation was long overdue.
“What else I have to do to prove that you’re it for me?” he asked.
Joel’s question hung in the air, heavy with emotion. You could see the intensity in his eyes, the way his frustration was mixed with desperation. He had been fighting for you, for the relationship, and now he was asking for something in return—your commitment, your belief in what you two could be together.
You swallowed hard, the weight of his words pressing down on you. “I know you’ve been trying, Joel,” you began, your voice soft but steady. “And I see that. I see how much you care, how much you’re willing to do for us. But… it’s not just about proving something to me. It’s about proving it to yourself too.”
Joel’s brow furrowed, his gaze never leaving yours. “What do you mean?”
“I mean… we both have our scars,” you continued, your voice trembling slightly. “And I’m scared, yes. But I think you’re scared too. Scared of getting hurt again, of losing someone else. And that’s why we keep going in circles, why it’s so hard to fully trust in this.”
Joel’s jaw tightened, but he didn’t interrupt. You could see that he was listening, really listening, to what you were saying. He took a deep breath, his gaze steady and intense. Walking towards you, he cupped your face in his hands “I could hit my head a hundred times,” he said quietly, his voice carrying the weight of his emotions, “and I would come back to you each time.”
You looked up at him, a mix of surprise and emotion swirling in your eyes. His words cut through the uncertainty you’d been feeling, touching on something deeper and more enduring than just the day-to-day struggles.
“Why?” you asked softly, searching his face for the meaning behind his declaration. “Why would you keep coming back?”
Joel’s expression softened, and he stepped closer, his hand gently resting on your arm. “Because you matter to me more than anything,” he said, his voice earnest. “I know we’ve got a lot to work through, and it’s not going to be easy. But every time I think of us, it’s like everything else falls away. It’s always you.”
You swallowed, feeling a lump form in your throat. “And you?”
Joel nodded, a small, sincere smile on his lips. “And me. Even when things get tough, or when I mess up, it’s you I want to be with. It’s you I want to make things right with.”
The sincerity in his words struck a chord within you. You could see how deeply he cared, despite the flaws and the struggles that had come between you. It was a reminder that, despite the difficulties, there was something real and lasting between you.
“I’m willing to try,” you said, your voice trembling slightly but full of conviction.
Joel’s smile widened, a look of relief and affection shining in his eyes. “Deal,” he said softly, pulling you into a gentle embrace.
"How is therapy going?" you asked.
Joel shifted slightly in your embrace before pulling back just enough to meet your gaze. His expression was a mix of vulnerability and hope. “It’s… it’s going. Not easy, but I’m trying to face things I’ve been avoiding for a long time.”
You nodded, giving him an encouraging smile. “That’s good to hear. It’s important to confront those things.”
Joel sighed, running a hand through his hair. “Yeah, well, it’s more than just talking about it. It’s about figuring out how to move forward. I’m learning that it’s not just about fixing what’s broken, but understanding why it was broken in the first place.”
“Sounds like you’re making progress,” you said gently.
Joel’s eyes softened as he looked at you. “It is. And having support—like you—makes it a bit easier. I appreciate you being here, even when things get complicated.”
You gave him a warm smile.
Joel's gaze lingered on yours, a mix of determination and affection in his eyes. Without a word, he gently cupped your face in his hands, his thumbs brushing against your cheeks. The warmth of his touch conveyed everything he couldn’t put into words.
He leaned in, his lips finding yours in a tender, lingering kiss. It was soft and deliberate, a silent promise of his commitment and his feelings for you. The kiss was more than just an expression of love; it was an affirmation of the bond you both shared, a way of showing that despite the challenges, there was still something deeply real and enduring between you.
When he finally pulled away, his eyes searched yours with a mixture of vulnerability and hope. “I just needed you to know that,” he said quietly. “You’re important to me, and I’m not giving up on us.”
You smiled, feeling a sense of reassurance wash over you.
“Let me love you” he whispered on your lips.
When Joel whispered those words, so close that his breath mingled with yours, it sent a shiver down your spine. His vulnerability, laid bare in that simple plea, tugged at something deep inside you. For so long, you had both danced around your fears and uncertainties, but here he was, asking for a chance to break through all of that.
Your heart swelled with a mixture of emotions—relief, love, and a lingering hint of that old fear. But as you looked into Joel’s eyes, filled with a hope that you hadn’t seen in him before, you felt something inside your shift.
You leaned in, closing the small gap between you, and let your lips meet his in a gentle, lingering kiss.
rushed and desperate, as a silent promise between the two of you.
But then, you pulled back just slightly, enough to catch your breath and regain some sense of where you were. “We are in the infirmary, Joel,” you whispered against his lips, a soft smile tugging at the corners of your mouth. Your words were a gentle reminder of the boundaries you still needed to respect, even in the midst of everything you were feeling.
Joel let out a small, breathless laugh, his forehead resting against yours as he tried to gather himself. “Yeah, I know,” he murmured, his voice laced with both amusement and a lingering desire. “But I needed some kisses from my favorite lady.
You chuckled softly, feeling a warmth spread through you at his words. “Well, your favorite lady is very flattered,” you replied, your tone teasing as you brushed a hand through his hair. “But I think she might need to get back to work before someone walks in on us.”
Joel sighed dramatically, a playful smirk tugging at his lips. “Fine, fine. I’ll let you get back to your work,” he said, though he didn’t make a move to step away just yet. Instead, he pressed one last, quick kiss to your lips, as if he couldn’t resist.
“See you later, then,” he murmured, his voice filled with affection and something deeper, something that spoke to the connection you were slowly rebuilding.
“Later,” you echoed, your smile lingering as he finally released you and took a step back, his eyes still warm with unspoken feelings.
As you returned to your work, your thoughts kept drifting back to Joel. The way he had kissed you, the way he had spoken to you—it was clear that he was committed to making things work between you two. And deep down, you knew that you were too. The road ahead wouldn’t be easy, but you were both willing to walk it together.
Time passed quickly as you immersed yourself in your tasks, trying to push away the thoughts of what had just transpired. But the memory of his touch, his words, lingered with you, making your heart ache in a bittersweet way.
Later, as the day began to wind down and the infirmary grew quieter, you found yourself thinking about what the evening might bring. Would Joel come by to see you again? Would you two have a chance to talk more, to start building something real and solid between you?
Just as you were finishing up for the day, you heard the door to the infirmary creak open. You turned, half-expecting it to be another patient or one of the other medics. But when you saw Joel standing there, leaning casually against the doorframe with a soft smile on his face, your heart skipped a beat.
“Hey,” he said, his voice low and warm. “Thought I’d come by and see if you needed anything.”
You smiled, feeling a familiar flutter in your chest. “Hey yourself,” you replied, wiping your hands on your scrubs. “I was just finishing up.”
He took a step closer, his eyes never leaving yours. “Good timing, then,” he said with a slight grin. “Mind if I walk you home?”
Your smile widened, and the idea of spending more time with him made your heart swell with affection. “I’d like that,” you said softly.
As you and Joel walked through the quiet streets of Jackson, the cool evening air wrapped around you like a comforting blanket. The sounds of the community winding down for the night were all around—distant chatter, the occasional clatter of dishes being put away, the soft hum of generators. It was a rare moment of peace in a world that had seen so much chaos.
Joel walked close beside you, his presence grounding and reassuring. Neither of you felt the need to fill the silence with words; the simple act of being together was enough. Yet, the unspoken connection between you was palpable, a gentle reminder of the kiss you had shared earlier and the emotions that had been laid bare.
As you approached your house, your home came into view. The warm glow of the lantern inside spilled out through the window, casting a welcoming light on the porch. You hesitated for a moment, not quite ready for the evening to end, and it seemed Joel felt the same.
He stopped a few steps away from the door, turning to face you fully. His expression was softer now, the earlier intensity replaced by a quiet tenderness that made your heart ache in the best possible way.
“I know things have been… complicated,” Joel began, his voice low and earnest. “But I meant what I said earlier. I’m not giving up on us. We’ve both been through hell, but I want to make this work. I want us to work.”
You felt a lump form in your throat, his words hitting you with a depth of sincerity that left you momentarily speechless. But you knew he was right—this was something worth fighting for, and you were ready to face whatever challenges came your way.
“I want that too, Joel,” you finally said, your voice soft but steady. “We’ve been through so much already. We can get through this too. Together.”
A faint smile tugged at the corners of his mouth, and he reached out to gently take your hand in his. His touch was warm and comforting, and you felt a sense of calm wash over you as your fingers intertwined.
For a moment, the two of you stood there, holding hands in the soft glow of the lantern light, the world around you fading into the background. It was just the two of you, standing at the edge of something new and uncertain, but also something beautiful.
Finally, Joel broke the silence, his voice barely above a whisper. “Can I… come in?”
You looked up at him, your heart racing as you considered the question.
With a small, hopeful smile, you nodded. “Yeah. I’d like that.”
Together, you walked up the steps and into the house, the door closing softly behind you. Inside, the room was warm and inviting, a small oasis in a world that had taken so much from both of you. As you stood there, taking in the familiarity of your surroundings, you felt a sense of peace settle over you.
Joel didn’t say anything as he gently pulled you into a kiss. Joel’s arms wrapped around you with a gentle yet firm grip, pulling you closer as his lips met yours. The kiss was tender, filled with all the unspoken emotions that had been building between you—the longing, the pain, the hope. It was a moment of pure connection, where words weren’t necessary because everything you needed to say was conveyed in the way he held you, in the way his lips moved against yours.
As the kiss deepened, you could feel the weight of the world outside fading away, leaving only the two of you in this quiet, stolen moment. Joel’s hand slid up to cradle the back of your head, his fingers threading through your hair, anchoring you to him. The way he kissed you was both gentle and possessive, as if he were afraid to let go, as if he needed this as much as you did.
“Need to…” He whispered against your lips, sounding almost desperate, running his hands down your waist to your ass.
Your breath became heave, feeling his hands roaming all your body as if you were the most precious treasure for him. Joel started leaving small kisses on your neck, as his hand travelled down the curve of one of your hips, gripping your skin all over the material of your clothes. He whispered your name against your skin, leaving goosebumps traced on it.
Your arched your back, moaning his name, making Joel go crazy. He grabbed you by your hips, effortlessly lifting you up to sit on the edge of your table, with him standing between your spread legs. Kissing Joel for real felt like driving in a dead-end street, like crushing your bones against the waves of the sea just to be brought back to life. And he also felt like the sun at the end of summer burning deep down your legs being carried out by passion and desire.
A gasp escaped from your throat, Joel’s mouth moving over yours in slow motion, savoring the taste of your lips to never forget it again. Your kisses felt like eating the sweetest fruit in summer.
as your legs spread, giving him closer access to you. As the kiss deepened, the feeling wasn’t just magical, but it was hot, with his tongue against yours. There wasn’t a proper way to get closer, but you wanted him closer, you wanted to feel him on top of you.
Joel slowly detached his lips from yours, looking flustered at the intensity of the kiss you had just shared.
“Are you okay?” He asked.
You quickly nodded, as you traced your hands on his hair down to his neck and rapidly connected your lips with him. This time it was even hotter, now there was desperation in the touch.
The air in the room grew heavier, filled with the sound of small whines slipping from your lips as he travelled his way down your neck with his lips, you felt like his own canvas being delicately traced by his lips brushing over your skin, planting tattooed kisses on his way.
He was capturing every second of this in his mind, the taste of your mouth, the softness of your skin, and the sound falling out from your lips, as he didn't stop taking every visible inch of your skin in his mouth. Every touch sent shivers straight down where you wanted him the most.
A slow moan escaped from your lips as he hit the hot skin of your neck.
"Everything's f-" You shut him down by furiously attaching his lips back to yours. His hand left the back of your neck, traveling down your chest as he remembered how every inch of your body felt under his touch and he smiled against your lips. The ache between your tights intensified at that, all while his hand pushed under your skirt and brushed where you wanted to be touched the most.
"Oh" you breathed.
Joel stopped kissing you for a moment to look at you, and he had a small smirk on his lips because he knew what he was doing. Leading not only by the desire but because of the mixed feelings he had for you.
And at that moment, breathing heavily against each other's faces, he kissed you again, and this time he went for it. He grabbed your bottom lip between his teeth as his hand rose higher on your tight.
He grabbed your waist, pulling you closer in a quick motion, your hand on your back holding your tight. You fell against his chest, falling apart under his gaze and touch. His lips pressed against you with a crazy need.
Your heart was beating so loudly in your ears when he kept caressing every inch of you, making you spin. His palm smoothed over the curve of your waist down to your bum and gripped it tightly, moving you even closer to him.
You let out a whine at that, and one your legs was pulling him on hold, kissing down his neck. You could feel him clenching under you.
He let out a groan, while you moved your hand along his chest down to his jeans, his own hand leaving your body to grasp your hold against him. He groaned low against you.
He stopped kissing you to meet your eyes briefly.
“I want you,” he said, capturing your lips as his teeth grabbed your bottom lip and his hand cupped the side of your face.
“You can have me” you whispered, resting your forehead on his.
He leaned forward, capturing your lips as he unbuttoned your blouse, your hands working on his jeans, and planted kisses on his mouth. Kissing him deeply as one of your hands rested between you two, as you wrapped your hand around him.
His hands on your hips to hold you right there. The air in your lungs was trapped in a bubble of incredible pleasure, but it still found a way to escape in rushed moans against his mouth as you both kept devouring each other.
He groaned against your mouth, lips parting, unable to utter other things instead of whimpers that drove you absolutely crazy.
Your whimper got stuck on your throat when you felt his finger pushing through your hot entrance. You were already soaked and Joel lost his mind at the feeling of you squeezing around his finger. He attached his lips once again, drinking your moans as he started pumping his fingers, slowly then building up the pace. Your lips attached to his neck, leaving traces of your kissed on his skin, claiming him, possessive and graceful.
"Fuck….Bedroom," you whispered softly, not breaking the kiss.
Once you stepped in your room, you were lying on your back with him on top, taking your lips back to his again.
You placed your arms around his neck and opened your legs so he could go closer to you, moaning at the sensation of him against where you wanted him most.
You kept your lips attached as he ground his hips against yours, sending electricity running through your body. He groaned into the skin of your neck, yanking his jeans and underwear off. Your gentle grasp on him caused him to whimper.
He drew you closer to him by your hips as you continued to devour one other, you couldn't stop the joy and the dazzling fireworks traveling up to your lower stomach were stronger than your thoughts. You were utterly out of breath, and you wanted him so bad it ached that you felt your lungs would catch fire.
You couldn't really comprehend what he was saying on the skin of your chest because your mind was consumed by the overwhelming desire to have him as you needed right now.
He paused kissing you and spreading kisses on your chest for a moment to gaze at your parted lips and your chest rising and falling as a result of him, and he couldn't lie, he felt proud of his lasting control over you.
"Are you going to f-"
You couldn't finish before he snatched your lips back, dragging you around his waist and grinding himself against you, making you moan against his lips. With such want, you could feel the aching growing up between your tights.
"Don’t be a brat” he huskily whispered in your ear, making your knees weak.
Before you could fire your retort, his fingers teasingly caressed your core. He seemed to be having a good time and enjoying every second of you squirming under him. Your head fell back to the bed, a gentle but irritated murmur from your lips. When he saw your reaction, he smiled, and you felt the delicate touch of his fingers stroking across your core.
"Oh," you whimpered, out of breath.
His soft lips caressed every single area of your skin on your chest, just over your red bra, with an agonizing slowness that made you insane and roll your eyes of pure pleasure. The one he unhooked with one hand so swiftly you gasped, a sound drowned out by the sensation of his lips over your nipples while he continued to pound on you at your core.
He greets you with a laugh, his cheeks exposing his dimples, and his eyes shining at the sight of you.
"Joel, please…" you grumbled.
He sucked on a nipple, causing your back to arch as he gripped your hips to the bed before meeting your eyes, absorbing every inch of your face lost in the joy of the moment, stroking your checks with his thumb.
You gripped the gem of his t-shirt to remove it, leaving no barrier between the two of you.
He moved between your tights, spreading them apart once more, and welcomed himself into you. You hadn't had him since that night when you confessed to him, and he felt even bigger than you remembered, and you both gasped when he began thrusting inside. He pushed his forehead against your neck, kissing you softly over the skin.
"You're beautiful like this," he said into your ear, "God I could just-"
He could complete it since he focused solely on making you pleased picking up his pace and thrusting quicker. He was completely inside you, feeling like he was breaking down your defenses as he pushed it on and on. You were out of breath, and all the air in your lungs didn't feel quite enough. You bucked your hips, allowing him to move even more quickly. And that's exactly what he did, giving you everything you asked for.
As your nails left red lines on his naked back and he thrust his hips harder into you, you could feel the heat spreading all over your body, like diesel meeting fire, causing an imminent explosion.
You struggled to breathe, but it didn't matter since the surge of ectasis he gave you was enough to make you feel alive. His finger traced the patterns over you, leaving hot flames all over your skin, and you clutched him, trying to appreciate this closeness before it was ripped away.
And he continued to rock into you. The sounds you both produced were completely hot, forcing your blood to rush into your checks as you continued to toss your head back to give him permission to mark the skin of your neck.
"Fuck me…" you said in ecstasy,
"I’m doing it" he retorted.
You grasped for his hair to hold him tight against your lips, kissing the warm skin under his ear as if you wanted him to hear you, panting for air, feeling your climax come so close that you trembled against his body. Not long after, your world spun around you, and you tightened your grip on his waist, feeling the release as you cursed in his ear, forcing him to release after you. His push grew sloppy, sending small sparks up your tights, till he came to a halt and you saw a delicious sight.
He kissed your temple for a few seconds longer, enjoying the sweat drips on your skin. Finally, you looked into his eyes. His brow eyes' delicate brightness sent thrills down your spine, leaving you with a lump in your throat.
Joel chuckled as he caressed your warm face, his touch on your skin radiating affection. All of the tension and resentment that led you to have sex before disappeared into the void.
"You can stay with me," you whispered as leaned in, his lips brushing against your brow. “You're exactly where you should be."
The next day, you and Joel were assigned to patrol together, as usual. The morning air was crisp, the kind that stung your cheeks but made you feel alive. The sun was just starting to rise, casting a golden hue over the frost-covered ground. The two of you walked in a comfortable silence, the familiarity of the routine settling between you.
As you reached the outskirts of Jackson, Joel suddenly veered off the usual path. You followed him, curiosity piqued, until you realized where he was leading you. Your steps faltered slightly when you saw the familiar spot—where you had buried your boyfriend, the place where you had said your final goodbye.
Joel paused a few steps ahead, turning to look at you. His expression was serious, yet there was a softness in his eyes that hadn’t been there before. “I know this is hard,” he said quietly, “but there’s something I need to do. Something I need to say.”
You nodded, unable to speak as the weight of the moment settled over you. Joel took a deep breath and stepped closer to the simple marker that marked your boyfriend’s resting place. He knelt down, his hand resting on the earth as if he were speaking directly to the man buried beneath it.
“I know you were everything to her,” Joel began, his voice steady but filled with emotion. “And I know I’m not trying to replace you. But I care about her. I want to be there for her, protect her, and make her happy. I just… I need your permission to do that.”
The sincerity in Joel’s voice made your chest tighten, and you felt tears prick at the corners of your eyes. You had never imagined a moment like this—Joel, who was usually so guarded, so tough, asking for the blessing of a man he’d never met, all for you.
“I know I wasn’t very gentle to her at the beginning but now she is everything for me, and I promise you that I will live every day of my life for her.”
“I know I wasn’t very gentle to her at the beginning,” Joel continued, his voice thick with regret. “But she’s everything to me now. And I promise you that I will live every day of my life for her. I’ll protect her, cherish her, and give her the kind of love she deserves. I swear it.”
You watched as Joel’s hand lingered on the ground, his thumb tracing small circles over the earth as if sealing his vow. The sight of him, this strong, stoic man who had been through so much, baring his soul in front of your boyfriend’s grave, made your tears fall freely.
Joel stood up slowly, his movements deliberate, as if he was giving the moment the gravity it deserved. When he turned to face you, there was a determination in his eyes, but also a softness—a quiet understanding that this wasn’t just about him, but about the both of you moving forward together.
He took a step closer, his hand reaching out to wipe away the tears on your cheeks. “I hope that’s enough,” he said quietly, his voice trembling ever so slightly. “I hope I’m enough.”
You took his hand, pressing it against your cheek, feeling the warmth of his touch soothe the ache in your chest. “You are, Joel,” you whispered, your voice thick with emotion. “You are more than enough.”
With those words, something shifted between you—something deeper, more profound than before. It was as if, in that moment, you were finally laying to rest the ghosts of your past, giving yourself permission to embrace the future you wanted with Joel.
Joel leaned in, pressing a gentle kiss to your forehead, and then to your lips. The kiss was tender, filled with a promise that went beyond words. It was a kiss that spoke of new beginnings, of hope, and of a love that was both fragile and unbreakable.
“I lost my mind for you,” he repeated, his gaze intense and unwavering. “And I would always go back to that just to love you.”
You cupped his face in your hands, your thumb brushing gently across his cheek. “And I would choose you every time,” you whispered, your voice barely above a breath. “Through everything.”
Joel’s eyes softened, and he pulled you into another embrace, his arms wrapping around you with a tenderness that spoke volumes. You stood there, holding each other, finding solace in the shared silence and the comfort of each other’s presence.
As the sun began to set, casting a warm glow over the landscape, you both knew that while the world outside was still harsh and unforgiving, within the space you created together, there was a sanctuary, a place where love, even in its most fragile form, could flourish and grow.
I tagged everyone interested in more parts or or the ones who commented, but I couldn't tag everyone because all got mixed (again) if you don't want to be tagged you can tell me, if you want to be tagged, you can also tell me. I tried to add everyone but I don't know If I did.

Leaving was the hardest thing Dean had to do other than breaking Y/n's heart. He cried himself to sleep every night after seeing her looking like a shell of herself at school. He missed her smile and he missed being the reason of her smile. How could he let himself fall for someone, when he knew he could never have that kind of life. Loving her was the best and the worst decision of his life. Best because he got to know what love actually feels like and worst because he knows he'd never find anything like that ever again. He wouldn't allow himself to love anyone else in this lifetime. She was his first and last love.
Dean had left town, and Y/n was still picking up the pieces of a shattered heart. Days turned into weeks, but the ache never dulled. Every time she walked by the places they'd shared—her favorite diner, the lakeside road where they'd stargazed—the memories rushed in like a flood. No matter how hard she tried, she couldn't outrun the ghost of him.
As much as she wanted to hate him, part of her would always him. He was her first love, her first kiss and her first time. Deep down she knew it had everything to do with his father but his betrayal was still fresh in her mind. She knew her Dean wouldn't do that her but she wished he'd stood against his father. She wished he would've fought for their love. If only she knew the reason he couldn't do it.
Fifteen years had come and gone, and Y/n had built a life—one filled with new memories, a different kind of happiness. But despite the time and distance, her heart remained anchored to a love she never truly let go of. It wasn't that she was stuck in the past; she had moved on in every way that mattered. Yet, in the quiet moments, when the world fell still, it was Dean's face she saw, his voice she heard, as if time had never touched the feelings she carried for him.
Y/n let out a sigh as she waited for her flight to be announced. She was going to Canada for a wake of the man who saved her life. She vividly remembered six years ago, she was coming back from work and a huge dog like creature attacked her. She wouldn't have believed had she not seen it with her own eyes. It was a werewolf.
She dug into the supernatural, surprised by the sheer amount of lore tied to what was already known. Myths, legends, and creatures she once thought were just stories had entire histories woven into the fabric of the world she knew.
Asa Fox was the one that killed the thing and rescued her. Now he was no more. She owed it him to atleast pay her final respects to him.
Hours later she landed in Canada and made her way towards Asa's mother's house. It was late at night when she arrived. She stepped inside and noticed a small crowd gathered in the living room, while others lingered in the kitchen and a few more were out in the backyard. They were all lost in conversation, sharing memories and stories of the brave hunter they had come together to mourn. The air was heavy with both grief and respect as they honored the life he'd lived.
She'd found Asa's mother and paid her condolences to her, recounting how her son had saved her life and how she looked up to him. The older woman nodded and Y/n took it as her cue to leave her alone. She walked the hallway and bumped into someone, she quickly apologised and looked up to them and all the air seemed to leave her lungs.
"You.." she choked on her words and the other person looked at her in mild confusion and threw her an anticipatory glance. "Mary Winchester." Y/n finally spoke. The older woman tried to rack her brain if she knew the woman infront of her but her mind remained blank.
Y/n had seen photos of Dean's mother in his room also in his wallet and she adored how much he loved his mother. Her mind went haywire thinking back to when he told her his mother died in a house fire. Did he lie? Why would he though? Thousands of thoughts ran into her mind as she thought back to her relationship with the Winchester. Even after fifteen years he's still vivid in her head. Did everything he tell her was a lie? Was Dean even his real name.
Y/n could feel herself hyperventilate and she immediately wanted to put space between the supposedly dead woman and herself. She went to the kitchen to grab herself some water. There were only two people in the kitchen, a woman with a pixie cut and a man taller than anyone she had ever seen. She grabbed a water bottle chugging it down and calming her heartbeat. She took a deep breath before speaking,
"Uhm sorry to intrude but, is a Mary Winchester out there?" She questioned the couple gesturing towards the hallway she came from. The man looked at her with a unreadable look in his eyes.
"Yeah." The woman responded.
Y/n sighed, — atleast I'm not going crazy. She thought to herself. But if that's Dean's mom, what on earth is she doing here?
"You're Y/n." The man said. It wasn't a question. He knew her. She craned her neck to look up at his face and she furrowed her brows.
"I'm sorry have we met before?" She questioned taking a step forward. A sad smile appeared on his face. The woman beside him looked at him expectantly waiting for his reply.
"You seriously don't remember me?" He chuckled and she shook her head.
"I'm sorry, but I'd remember if I had met someone as big as you." She replied leaning on the counter behind her.
"I wasn't this big when we met Y/n/n." Sam spoke and the nickname made her eyes flash with recognition but it was quickly overtaken by the hurt that came with those memories.
"Sammy." It just slipped out. She didn't mean to call him by that name, but when he called her y/n/n, it came out subconsciously. Her heart started beating loudly at the thought of his brother being here. She had never thought she'd ever meet Dean Winchester ever again and she was not ready.
Sam knew whatever happened between her and his brother hurt her more than anything and he wouldn't blame her if she up and left without a word, but he'd missed her. And he missed the man his brother was when he was with Y/n. After her, he was just a shell of a man, running on his father's commands like a soldier. Someone who seemed to let go off every emotion and just waiting for his father's next order.
Sam introduced Y/n to the woman beside him as sherrif Jody Mills and she was good friend.
"How're you Y/n?" Sam asked and she looked at him remembering the small kid she used help with homework.
"Been good. How about you?" Sam scoffed at her question. If only she knew how he's been. And how his brother's been. Coming back from the dead, hell, purgatory. She'd probably throw a chair at him for making up all this bullshit.
"Good yeah." Sam nodded. Y/n could hear footsteps approaching and prayed it wasn't who she thought it was. God knew she didn't want to see him. Maybe she hadn't been a good person, and this was her punishment, because Dean Winchester walked into the kitchen, her breath caught in her lungs.
"Sammy where the he-" Dean words got caught in his mouth as his gaze landed on her.
Y/n looked at the man she had loved and hoped that after all these years, she'd have fallen out of love with him. But one look and her heart started thudding against her ribcage. He had aged, but somehow, he was even more handsome. He was muscular now, his arms toned beneath his layers, and she could see it all. She could feel her eyes water and she didn't want to create a scene at someone's wake, she pushed past Sam and left the space with a word.
Dean stood frozen, he couldn't believe he'd run into her here of all places. The sight of her brought back a flood of memories and feelings he thought he had buried long ago. Despite the years and the changes, she was just as beautiful as he remembered. But then he wondered why was she here? Is she a relative? Does she know about the supernatural? Or worse is she a hunter?
He didn't know the answer to his questions but he knew one thing, that them meeting again after fifteen years was fate. And he'd be damned if he let go off her ever again. He'd do anything in his power to win her back because God knows he's been miserable since the minute he broke up with her. Without wasting another second Dean went behind her. He could see her going to the backyard and taking in deep breaths.
"Y/n." He said approaching her.
"Go away Dean.”
“Just hear me out once.” He pleaded.
“I don't want to hear any more of your lies." Her voice cracked as she spoke and Dean knew she was on the verge of crying.
"Lies? What lies?" He asked holding her arm and turning her to look at him. She shrugged her arm out of his grip and pulled away harshly.
"Maybe you have a bad memory Dean, fifteen years isn't that long of a time to forget about it." She snapped glaring at him. "Need I remind you of your lies? My mom died when I was four! She's inside I've seen her with my own eyes." She yelled. "I love you Y/n! And the very next day after breaking up with me I see you making out with some cheerleader. You don't do that to someone you love." She cried pushing at his chest. "You're a goddamn liar so leave me the fuck alone like you did that night at the park."
Each and every word pierced through him like a needle. It was worse than spending forty years in Hell. He knew he'd hurt her and deserved everything she threw his way, but hearing her think that he didn't love her—it just broke his heart. He never lied about his love for her.
"Y/n, baby please let me explain. I swear I'll tell you everything." He said holding her hand and she pushed him again.
"Don't touch me. And I don't need your explanations." She wiped her tears. "I'm not here for you I'm here for Asa." Dean felt a pang of jealousy at the late hunter's name and he wondered if they'd had something before he died. Is that why she's here. He completely forgot it's been fifteen years and there might be a possibility that she'd moved on.
"How do you even know him?" He couldn't but ask. His jealousy getting the better of him.
"That is none of your concern." She retorted sharply.
"Sweetheart please hear me out." Dean begged and she moved to go back inside but the doors were locked.
"What the hell?" She tried turning the doorknob but it didn't budge. The two of them were locked out. Dean tried pushing the door but to no avail.
"Hello Dean." Dean turned to see Billie standing there and she was smirking almost evilly.
"Billie what are you doing here?" He asked the reaper. And she told him she's here to do what she does. She's here to take everyone who's inside. Dean asked her what's happening inside and she tells him a demon's got them locked inside and something about vengeance. He had to save Sam, his mom and Jody. Dean tells her to open the door for him and let him go inside, she makes him a deal to never interfere in the natural order of things and he agrees as long as she lets him inside.
"Dean what the hell is going on?" Y/n was now scared. Although she was well aware of supernatural theoretically but she was in no way prepared to fight. And demons? She didn't know those were real too.
"I'll explain later." Dean replied as calmly as possible. "Billie, I need you to keep her safe, please." Dean requested and the reaper raised her brow.
"Dean, I can either keep her safe or let you inside. I'm getting one thing out of this deal, and you're getting only one too." His jaw clenched at her words and he was internally cursing her for being a bitch.
"Fine. Get us in." He begrudgingly told the reaper and she created an opening in the door. Dean turned to Y/n and cupped her face in his large hands. "We're going in, but you gotta trust me, sweetheart. Stay by my side and I'll protect you." Y/n thought he was completely out his wits asking her to go inside a place where there's a demon.
"Time's of essence Dean." Billie commented and he glared at her. He held Y/n's hand and before she knew the two of them were inside. He let out a sigh of relief when he saw Sam, Jody and his mom alive, and even the others. Sam filled him in how the demon had cut off the water supply and locked all the doors. Y/n was terrified of being locked in a house with a demon but Dean held her close to him. His hand gripping hers tightly.
They all gathered in the living room to make a devils trap to trap whoever the demon was possesing and to keep themselves safe, being inside it.
"Dean who was that outside?" Y/n questioned her voice a quiet whisper.
"That was Billie she's a reaper." Dean replied moving her into the devils trap. She looked at him wide eyed.
"A reaper? The one that takes souls?" She questioned and he nodded. "You're acquainted with a reaper? What the fuck?" Before either of them could say any further Jody accused Mary of being possessed since her was last one to come into the room.
Sam and Dean tensed at her accusation of their mom being possessed but then Mary stepped into the devil's trap and moved out proving she's not it. Then Jody started cackling evilly, saying that was clever of Mary. With a flick of her hand she wooshed the trap, then she started attacking everyone one by one taunting them. She threw the twins across the wall and then slammed Mary in the door. She moved her hand towards Y/n but Dean pushed her behind him and the demon made him fly in the wall. Y/n was left unguarded and demon closed in on her. Sam neared them but possessed Jody threw him in the cabinet.
Y/n screamed as the demon neared her she inched backwards, her body trembling with fear. Dean watched as Jody wrapped her hand around Y/n's neck, he got up on his feet and pushed Jody away from her, not too harshly to not hurt his friend's body. He wrapped his body over her, shielding her body with his' and Sam started chanting the incantation to exorcise the demon out of Jody. The twins joined them and then Mary finished it off sending the demon back to hell.
The lights flickered back on and everyone was relieved at last. Y/n clutched Dean's shirt in her hands and hid her face in his chest. "You're fine..it's gone." He rubbed her back soothingly. "Hey sweetheart, look at me." Dean made her pull away slightly and placed his fingers underneath her chin making her look at him. "You okay?" She shook her head, no.
An hour later, Y/n was wrapped up in Dean's jacket, his mind drifting off to the first time he'd lend her his jacket and how it was their new beginning. He wondered if it was a sign of their another new beginning together. She sat on the hood of the Impala and the boys stood in front of her.
"What. The. Hell. Was. That?" She looked at Sam and Dean, while Mary and Jody watched their interaction for afar. "I mean I know werewolves and Vampires but demons? Reapers?" Dean grabbed her hand and brushed his thumb over the back of her hand.
"How'd you know about Werewolves and Vampires?" Dean asked softly and she told him how she was attacked by a werewolf and Asa saved her. And she researched a bit about the supernatural and Dean nodded in understanding. He shot Sam a glance and younger understood and left them alone.
"Sweetheart, I'll explain everything and I'll tell you why I left. You see I'm a hunter, my parents were too. I've grown up in this life. My mom did die when I was four. A demon killed her. My dad wanted us to find that demon and kill him. When I met you, I forgot all about it. I wanted to be a normal boy, I did love you with everything I had." She looked up at his eyes and they were sincere, different from when he broke her heart. It wasn't like he was holding back, or hiding something. "My dad, he didn't want you to get involved or me to lose focus. He told me that I should break your heart so you can move on with you life." Dean explained.
"I did move on with my life Dean." He shut his eyes not wanting to see the look on her face when she tells him she found someone else. "But I couldn't love anyone else. You made me question my worth, because, fuck it I was in love. And fuck you Dean for I couldn't have us."
"I'm really sorry. I didn't mean to make you question your worth, hell I wanted to show you how much you mean to me, I just wanted to keep you safe, away from this life. You aren't even back in my life for less two hours and look at this mess. I don't even want to think of what harm I would've caused you if you'd been with me all those years." He looked apologetic. "As for my mom, God's sister brought her back."
"Who THE FUCK?" She looked dumbfounded.
"It's long story." Dean chuckled. "All I'm saying is I've loved you this whole time and I only broke up with you because I didn't want you be in danger and because my dad said it was for the best." He rubbed the back of his head, half ashamed.
"Where's your dad?" She asked after few minutes of silence.
"He died, a few years ago." Dean replied gloomily.
"I'm sorry." Even if the man was the reason for her heartbreak she didn't feel good about him being dead. After all he was Dean's father. Dean nodded. "What now?"
"We could try again, that is if you want to. I'm tired of not being with you. I feel meeting you again after all these years, it's fate." Dean said softly. "And I still love you so fucking much." He rested his forehead against her.
"I still love you too, Dean." She whispered. The tension between them hangs in the air, heavy and charged. Without another word, Dean cups Y/N's face, his thumb gently brushing their cheek. There's a moment of hesitation, a breath, and then he leans in, capturing their lips in a passionate kiss.
The kiss is deep, intense, filled with all the unspoken emotions they've both been holding back. Dean pulls Y/N closer, as if trying to convey everything he couldn't say in words. For that moment, it's just the two of them, lost in the heat of the kiss. When they finally pull back, both breathless, Dean's forehead rests against Y/N's, his eyes still closed.
"Being away from you was worse than going to hell."
"As if you'd know what hell’s like." She replied rolling her eyes. Dean pulled away, his eyes filled with mischief.
"Oh I do, I went to hell, i was there for forty years."
"You're lying." She gave him a look and he shook his head.
"I'm not. I went to hell and then Castiel the angel pulled me out. Who by the way is now my best friend."
"SAMMY? HE'S LYING ISN'T HE??" She yelled to the younger Winchester and Dean barked out a laugh at her reaction. Sam didn't know what she was on about so he laughed too.
"You've got a lot of catching up to do, sweetheart." Dean said while helping her down off the hood. He threw an arm over her shoulder and dragged her towards his mom. "Mom this is Y/n. My highschool sweetheart." He said pecking her temple.
“Nice to meet you Mrs. Winchester.” Y/n said extending her hand for her to shake but Mary pulled her into a hug.
“Call me Mary. And welcome to the family.” She smiled. Dean grinned, watching the exchange with a sense of pride. Mary’s embrace made Y/n feel instantly at ease. Mary pulled back slightly, her eyes twinkling with warmth. “I’ve heard so much about you, it’s wonderful to finally put a face to the name.”
“You have?” She questioned looking at Dean who looked away shyly.
“Yeah, I’m sorry I wasn’t around the first time.” Mary joked and Y/n let out an awkward laugh.
Dean stood by, his arm still around Y/n, feeling a deep sense of contentment as his worlds finally came together. He knew they still had a lot to talk about but he also knew that they were meant to be. It’s destiny. Now that he’s got her, he’s never letting her go matter what life throws at him. He’s finally home.

" An unexpected meeting of a mother and son " - Batmom!Oc and Jason Todd/Red Hood
Summary : Dahlia (Oc) tries to forget about her second little baby and his death after the arrival of her third sweet son. But she didn't know that she would have a very nostalgic visit.
Author note: Hello!! Before you read this and find any spelling mistakes, tell me in a comment 🙏, my main language is not English 😓. Also, this is my first "Oneshot" (I think it's a Oneshot, but I don't know), so I didn't know whether to put Batmom as Y/N or as some OC, so I decided on the OC 💪. (This Batfamily is a mix of comics, Webtoon, series, movies and headcanons… so… you know, not everything will follow the canon 😇)
TW: angst????
"Oh... God... my sweet boy... my little angel... Please don't him..." The woman murmured between sobs as she leaned against her husband's strong body.
"I'm sorry, Dahlia..." Bruce apologized in a murmur as he wrapped his arms around his wife. He felt the same as his wife, although much more frustration and disappointment in himself for not being able to arrive in time to save his son.
On the other hand, her eldest son, Dick, also had tears in his eyes and felt desperate because he couldn't do anything to make his mother stop crying. He approached her mother and hugged her. strongly.
Dahlia had just received the devastating news that her sweet second baby had been brutally murdered. She felt a void in her heart, one where she was filled with the love of Jason, her sweet angel. Dahlia couldn't even feel anger or the feeling of wanting to kill whoever was guilty of the murder, she was too busy drowning in her own misery and pain, deep ones that won't heal for a long time.
Some time has passed since the devastating death in the Wayne family. But, another little one had joined the family as the new and third Robin.
Tim was a child genius, with amazing detective skills. He was also a very loving and cute son to his new mother.
Dahlia with the new arrival of Tim Drake as her third child, she did what she could to forget about Jason and fill that void in her heart with Tim's love.
Dahlia loved Tim as she loved her two other children. She made sure Tim felt loved and protected by a mother, doing everything any mother would do with her little baby, like spending a whole day with him going shopping.
She was happy with the new member of the family, she loved him. But even with Tim by her side, Dahlia couldn't forget her sweet little angel, Jason.
The woman went to the cemetery every day to leave flowers and clean her son's grave. "I'm sorry my sweet angel…" Dahlia said softly as she placed the flowers on the dirt covering Jason's coffin.
Tears began to run down her cheeks as she remembered those beautiful moments she had with Jason. Remembering when Jason used to tell her every detail of the missions she had as Robin and fought crime. Although it hurt her more not to be able to hug him and remind him that she loved him with all her soul. "My baby… I'm sorry…"
Dahlia sighed and wiped away her tears, stood up and walked away from the grave, thinking that a rest would be good for her and that she shouldn't come to the cemetery every day…
Another short time passed, Dahlia was in the kitchen preparing something to eat for herself, since she had already made sure that her husband and children had something to eat before going out on patrol. She was calm in the kitchen, with nothing on her mind, just taking care of what she had in her hands.
Until she heard heavy and slow footsteps approaching the kitchen, where she was. Dahlia thought it was Bruce, maybe he had arrived earlier than normal. When the footsteps finally finished echoing and they were already in the kitchen, Dahlia turned to look with a smile thinking it was Bruce.
"You came back early hon-…" Dahlia spoke but she interrupted herself upon seeing a stranger with a red helmet.
She tightened her grip on the knife she was holding. "Who are you…?" Dahlia asked with a hint of fear and distrust. "If you come closer I swear that-" Dahlia was interrupted when she saw how the stranger took off his helmet and revealed his face.
Dahlia couldn't believe it…she was seeing her dead son in person. Her expression changed to one of surprise mixed with sadness. She began to feel that her eyes were going to start crying at any moment, but for some reason she couldn't let go of the tears, first she wanted to know if she really was her son or just a hallucination in her head. "Jason…?" Dahlia said quietly as she dropped the knife and covered her mouth with her hand.
Jason placed his helmet on the ground and clenched his fists in anger… or perhaps, frustration. He looked at Dahlia and stared at her. "I thought you loved me, like you loved Grayson. Like your son." He spoke, trying not to let his anger and desperation show. "But I only see that you got a replacement." Jason added as he clenched his fists tighter.
Dahlia opened her mouth but not a single word came out, she was shocked, was it really her son who was in front of her? Or was it just one of her other hallucinations? Dahlia didn't know whether to really believe what she was seeing, what if this was all a dream? Her Jason should be dead. However, she was seeing him in front of her, with some scars on his arms and face.
Regardless of whether it was a dream or not, she was going to hug her son.
Dahlia rushed towards Jason and quickly wrapped her arms around him, giving him a hug with a tight grip as tears began to well up from her eyes and slide down her cheeks. "Oh Jason… Please forgive me my sweet angel… I'm sorry for not having been a good mother to you and not being able to go and protect you… I'm so sorry honey…" Dahlia said between tears and sobs, holding his son tightly with no intention of letting go.
Jason wanted to push her, but she just wouldn't let him; Dahlia was his mother, his support, and the most beloved woman in his life. He was just resentful, frustrated to see his mother with a new son. Frustrated to see how his mother was loving another child. Jason felt as if his mother had completely forgotten about him after his death.
But after hearing Dahlia call him by his old nickname, he saw those moments pass by when he was happy playing and talking with his mother. He couldn't deny it, he loved how her mother's laughter could be heard along with her smiles.
Jason pursed his lips and simply hugged his mother back, tighter. And his vision began to cloud with tears that he wanted to hide but he let them out, unburdening himself in Dahlia's arms. "Ma…"

Hi! If you're taking fic requests still may I request a romantic 18+ fic of SAINW Mikey X a female reader? Thank you ^^
Like The Good Old Days (Angst/Fluff) (18+)
SAINW!Michelangelo x reader
A/N: I don’t know how romantic it is, as SAINW is one of those universes for me, that automatically goes into angst. But I tried. Hope you enjoy🧡
Reader and Mikey are in their 40’s.
Warnings: Mentioning of loss of loved ones, mentioning of families falling apart, oral - female receiving, sex, mentioning of small pain.
It was no secret that you and Mikey missed the good old days. Back when you were teens, and your love was all new and bright, making the two of you hide and giggling in every corner you could find, sharing small kisses and entwining your hands while cuddling. And then there was your hot and heavy twenties, with makeout sessions every other minute, along with long pleasurable nights in your rooms.
Your thirties should have been the time where you brought your romance back, while making plans for a future family. The kind of family you and Mikey had been thinking about, ever since that night at 25, where you first started talking about kids' names, and which one you liked the most. But none of that was ever going to be.
Utrom Shredder caught you all off guard, and launched a surprise attack on New York City. It was harder and stronger than anything he had ever done before, and with the sudden disappearance of Donatello, everything started to grumble. But when Shredder’s soldiers launched yet another surprise attack, this time breaching the walls of the lair, all that was left fell apart. There were too many, and the only one that managed to get out of there with minor injuries was you. But that would not have been possible, had Mikey not given up his arm for you, Raphael one of his eyes, Leonardo’s skin that was now filled with dark green scars, and Splinter’s life.
It didn’t take long before the brothers started to fall apart. They presumed that Donnie was gone, and how they had lost their father. They just managed to make it through laying Splinter to rest, before they started fighting. Raph blamed Leo for the loss of their father, yelling that if Leo hadn’t pulled him out of the lair, he could have saved Splinter. But Leo was firm, fighting the tears - none of them would have made it if they stayed back. Splinter wanted them to leave, willing to give up his life for his son. Mikey was frustrated. He had just wanted a happy family, but now all of that was slipping through your hands. And no matter how hard he tried, his brothers would not listen to reason. And then, one morning, Leo just left, deciding it was time he started fighting in the only way he saw fit. The way his brothers never had been able to see. And that was the last straw for Raph, and soon he left too, leaving you and Mikey back with April and Casey, doing your best to form a resistance to the rule of Shredder. But just as all of you thought the worst was over, you lost Casey in the middle of his duties for the resistance. It had completely thrown April out, leaving her sobbing and screaming for several days, giving you and Mikey no opportunity but to take care of her throughout her grievances.
Your forties was a hard hitter. You and Mikey were very much still in love, but you rarely got a moment to share that love together. If neither you or Mikey were caught up with the resistance, you would be too tired to do anything together, falling asleep the moment you hit the dirty pillow of your small shared bed. There simply just wasn’t time to do anything like a couple.
But then your thirdied anniversary came around, and both you and Mikey wished for a day, or at least just an hour, where the two of you could just relax together, not having to worry about anything, but the comfort of each other’s arms. And then, the morning of your anniversary, your prayers were heard.
That morning, you were pleased to hear from April that there had been no movement from Shredder’s side that night, meaning that for the first time in several years, all of you could breathe for a moment. And with that came a request from Mikey; could you and him get the day off, or just at least a few hours, to celebrate your thirty years together? And much to your delight, April did just that. For the first time in several years, you and Mikey finally had a day off.
It almost felt strange when you and Mikey returned to your closet-sized bedroom, with the small lightbulb on a string hanging above you, casting a faint light onto the surrounding gray walls. In here you and Mikey laid under the covers of your shared blanket, looking and holding each other in a way you hadn’t been able to for far too long.
Mikey’s strong arm was wrapped around your waist, with his thumb stroking the skin that was visible in the space between your shirt and your underwear. You admired Mikey’s features, letting your fingers run over them, feeling his scars underneath your touch.
Mikey let out a satisfied sigh, leaning into the feel of your touch. It had been a long time since he had felt you touch him like this. Sweet, soft and intimate. Something Mikey had been craving for long.
Resting his head against your shoulder, Mikey used his one arm to pull you closer against his plastron, taking in your scent and warmth, before he started placing small kisses onto the exposed skin of your neck and shoulder. You hummed at his actions, letting his lips work their way from your neck and up to your jaw, before his lips finally found yours, bringing you in for a firm kiss.
It was one of those kisses that made the heat go straight down between your legs, your hormones thick in the air, making Mikey groan at the scent. It had been a long time since he had last encountered that amazing scent of yours.
Holding you closer, Mikey pushed his cloaca against you, making you hum at his buckling hips. It had been so long since you and Mikey last had gotten it on, so just the mere thought was getting you more excited by the second, making you feel like you were in your twenties once more.
Feeling and smelling your excitement, Mikey slowly pushed you onto your back, using his arm to rest on, as his tongue licked your lower lip, asking for entrance, which you happily gave him. And that was all it took, before you and Mikey lost all restraints, tongue and lips moving in a furry, all while you pushed and pulled on your clothing in order to get it off. Mikey only removed his lips from yours, in order to help you get your shirt off, or when he sat up straight and pulled your underwear off in one swift move, making you yelp in excitement. Mikey had not done such a thing since your twenties, and you enjoyed it as much now as you did back then.
Throwing your soaked underwear onto the floor, Mikey pushed your legs open with his one hand, taking in the sight of your glistening flower, almost making his mouth water, a rumble like deep churr vibrating through his chest.
“You look beautiful”, Mikey groaned, nuzzling his beak between your thighs, continuing to push them apart with his big strong hand. “Always so beautiful”, he whispered, before pressing his tongue flat against your folds, licking from bottom to the top, making sure to flick your clit with his tongue. You jumped in Mikey’s arms, hearing him chuckle as he wrapped his arms over your stomach, making sure you stayed in place.
Mikey’s tongue found your clit once more, sucking and licking while you buckled your hips against his face, moaning out in pleasure, not caring if anybody outside your small bedroom could hear you. After so many years, you were more than allowed to enjoy the tongue of your long term boyfriend. Especially when you knew how talented that tongue was.
“Shit, Mikey”, you moaned, letting your fingers find their way onto the top of his head, grabbing onto his mask. Mikey groaned against you, continuing his work on your clit, feeling your legs shake around his head, knowing that he was bringing you closer to your high.
You looked down, locking your eyes with Mikey’s, his lustful gaze watching your face contort in even further pleasure, humming when you lifted your hips up against his face, begging him for more. And Mikey did what you asked for, continuing his pleasurable assault on your bundle of nerves, finally pushing you over the edge, making you moan out in loud pleasure. If you cared, you were sure that someone was able to hear you, but with Mikey lapping up your juices with needy groans, helping you ride out your climax, you couldn’t care less.
Mikey crawled up from between your legs with a cocky, your wetness still smeared over his face.
“I guess I still got it, huh?”, he said, making you laugh. A heartfelt laughter. It had been a long time ago, since you and Mikey had been able to share a good laugh in bed.
“Oh, you definitely still got it”, you smiled, pulling him down for another kiss, tasting yourself on his lips, making you moan against him.
Mikey pressed his body against yours, his fingers entwined with yours on the bed, while your other arm wrapped around his shoulder, holding him closer, your chest pressed against his. Mikey’s hips moved against yours, and you knew he was seeking his drop, wanting to drop directly into you, just like he used to do in your younger years.
It didn’t take long before Mikey’s member slipped out of his cloaca, causing him to moan into your mouth, slowly pushing into you. You gasped and held onto his hand and shell, feeling his girth stretch your entrance out. After so many years, you had almost forgotten how big he was compared to you. But you welcomed the small amount of pain, remembering the good old days, where you and Mikey would go to town almost every night.
While waiting for you to adjust to his size, Mikey moved from your mouth to your ear, whispering sweet nothings to you, while you slowly calmed your breath, clenching around him as you slowly relaxed. Even with the world falling apart around you, and after many years of hard work, Mikey still took his time with you, making sure you were comfortable, not moving before he knew you were ready. And after all these years, he still knew when you were ready, being able to read you so well. He knew if from the way you would start to move around underneath him, or how you would try to chase after his lips, letting out a small frustrated sound, when he wouldn’t kiss you back, still not finished whispering those sweet affirmations to you.
After you once again tried to chase him, your lips seeking his, Mikey chuckled, placing a small kiss on your temple, before finally giving in to your request, letting his lips find yours once more, as he slowly began to move his hips against you. You reacted to this with a loud and satisfied moan, out stretching your limbs, before wrapping them around him, hugging him even closer to you, with both of your hands holding onto the sides of his shell, with your legs hiked over his hips, wrapping as far as they could go, making Mikey churr even louder above you, sending vibrations through both of you.
Pushing back into you, Mikey let go of your lips, letting his head fall onto your shoulder with a breathy moan. After so long, it felt amazing to feel you clench on to him, like you were doing at that very moment, the feeling making you both feel twenty years younger.
As Mikey’s movement began to pick up, his hips slamming against yours in an increasingly rapid speed, you braced yourself with one hand against the gray wall, your moans spurring Mikey on.
Your moans turned into cries of pleasure, all while Mikey’s speed continued to increase. Several years furth of pent up frustration, finally getting a way to leave your systems. You could only imagine how you and Mikey sounded and looked to any outsiders - a pair of desperate lovers, finally getting the time to be intimate once again. And as you felt your second high build up already, you felt just like that - desperate for release.
You started clawing at Mikey’s shell, your movements becoming more and more erratic, as he focused all his power onto the pleasure he was bringing you. No words were needed. He knew exactly where you were going, and he knew exactly what to do to get you there, tilting his hips so that he was hitting your spot over and over again.
The sound that left your mouth was incoherent, with no words forming, yet Mikey understood everything, doing exactly what you asked him to, feeling his own high inch closer as he got you closer to the edge.
You came with a scream of pleasure, but Mikey made no attempt to hide the sound from the world outside your bedroom door. In your younger days, he would have covered your mouth, hoping that no family members would hear what actions you were getting up to. But now he couldn’t care less, wanting nothing more than to hear the beautiful sounds he had been missing for years. And those sounds was all he needed, before he too was pushed over the edge, emptying himself into you with a loud groan.
The two of you laid there for a moment, still with Mikey on top of you, enjoying the closeness of each other. After some time Mikey decided to pull out of you, before slided down onto the mattress, pulling you close with the intention to cuddle. You gladly scooted closer to Mikey, pressing yourself against his plastron, feeling a blow of air hit your head as he let out another small chuckle.
“Damn”, Mikey said, holding you close with his one arm. “It was much better than I remember it being”.
You smiled up at him, letting your fingers run over his plastron in soothing motions. “If anything, I’ll say the years have made you better”.
“Is that so?”, Mikey asked, a mischievous glint in his eyes sparkling bright, making your stomach tingle in excitement. It was truly like being twenty again. “The day hasn't even truly begun. We still got time for more”.
You laughed as Mikey pulled you in for another kiss, your laughter turning into another moan as his tongue made its way into your mouth once again, his hand massaging your side. It truly was like the good old days.

❤️
All your life you had heard about the great earthquake of 1986 that happened in Hawkins.
Every year the town held a vigil for those that died, your best friend's parents Nancy Wheeler and Steve Harrington held a special service along with Dustin Henderson and Robin Buckley for one person in particular.
Eddie Munson. The ghost of Hawkins, an urban legend whose name was whispered about by adults and whose legend was infamous.
Once accused of killing three high school students from Hawkins High, those of whom were in his (third) senior class.
Until Jim Hopper, Hawkin's most famous sheriff for a whole lot of things, the most amazing being coming back from the dead- or escaping the prison he was held at in Russia.
Anyway, Jim had cleared Eddie of any wrongdoing after his death, in fact, according to Dustin, and many others he had died a hero, helping save others during the earthquake.
Dustin told a lot of stories about Eddie, you'd heard a few when you hung out with Alice, it was bittersweet though because you could see how much pain it caused Dustin to talk about Eddie but he said he had to talk about him because he never wanted Eddie's memory to be forgotten.
You wondered what Dustin thought of the Urban Legend regarding Eddie's ghost. Over the years many people claimed to see Eddie, some were stoned, drunk or a little bit of both.
Others were curious, trying to find out if the tales of Eddie's ghost were true. Double dares to go deep into the woods and call out his name, mentions of the faint sounds of a guitar playing when everything was silent at The Hideout, the cave in Lovers Lake was a hot spot for activity too.
Some part of you yearned to know if it was true, even though the logical part of your brain dismissed it as nothing more than an urban legend.
Plus, you had seen how upset the rumours made Dustin, how much he hated that his friend was used as a laugh for dumb teenagers and even some adults looking for a scare.
Unfortunately, as much as you didn't want to entertain the rumours, some people were all for finding out if the ghost of Eddie Munson was real or not.
❤️❤️
Todd Carver was your ex and to say he was a dick was an understatement. You had dated him for two months and grew tired of his arrogant and boastful demeanour.
Graduation was fast approaching and you wanted more out of life than Todd and his asshole tendencies.
It was just your luck he was still part of your friend group however you did your best to avoid him.
He had been trying to get you to date him again but you just weren't interested.
You hear him goading someone and your stomach fills with anger when you notice its Dustin's son Ben.
He was exactly like his dad, you were very protective of him and follow Todd as he and his friends Calvin and Sam push Ben into the woods.
You can hear their laughter and it infuriates you.
"Come on dude, call out for Munson, didn't your daddy give you Eddie for a middle name? Talk about morbid man"
"Shut up" Ben snaps and you hear those morons laugh again as they tease Ben.
"Leave him alone!" you march up to Todd and he snorts.
"Come on Babe, we're just messing around" you glare at him. Steve said he was like his Uncle Jason in miniature, he didn't like to speak ill of the dead but apparently, Jason was an asshole, Todd was just like him.
"It's not funny Todd, Get lost asshole" Todd snorts.
"What? we just wanna know if Eddie Munson's ghost is real or not? What's wrong with that?" he replies innocently but his eyes are full of malice.
He imitates a ghost and at that exact moment, a branch falls and hits Todd, leaves fall on him and his eyes widen in shock and a small hint of fear.
"It's Munson! Let's get out of here" he rushes away with Calvin and Sam at his heels.
Ben smiles, relaxing as he watches them go.
"Thanks for helping me" You ruffle his hair and tell him to get back for his last lesson.
As he heads away you turn to look at the fallen branch and leaves and frown curiously. There's no wind? Was it an old branch or something else? Something spookier?
Then there's a voice behind you and you freeze on the spot.
"God, that Todd dude was a dick right?" when you turn around he's standing near the benches, arms folded across his chest.
His hair is wild, dark brown and long. Big brown eyes filled with annoyance, some of his tattoos visible and he's wearing a Hellfire t-shirt and jeans just like you saw in the pictures Dustin has on his mantelpiece.
What the fuck.
"He's related to Carver? Can spot that asshole smirk anywhere" Eddie grins at you.
"Shit, you're really... I thought you were a myth or some urban legend passed around by stoned guys and campfire tales" he snorts.
"I'm as real as it gets princess... The smile falls away from his lips, still very much dead though, which is shit"
You sit down on the bench feeling a little bit dizzy, you can barely believe what's happening.
"The branch" you ask faintly and he smiles, it's heart melting, all dimples and a hint of cheekiness.
"Sorry, didn't mean to scare you. Just that dick Carver. You dated that douchebag? Could do a lot better princess" you stare at him still processing everything.
"How did you know that?" he shrugs and sits beside you, the temperature drops a little.
"I'm a ghost, I hear all kinds of shit. Disappear for weeks on end, then come back again. It's confusing being stuck in this limbo world"
"I'm sorry" you reply feeling his sadness so acutely that it takes your breath away for a second.
"It's kay, not your fault. It's nice sticking around sometimes, even if I can't do much. Haunt the dickheads that come out here sometimes though the bullying little shits, keep track of Hellfire Club which is cool, amazing how massive it is now" he looks so proud.
"I know Dustin, Steve, Nancy, Robin. They've told me all about you. You died a hero" he gets up and smiles faintly.
"Decided to stop running, sometimes I wonder if it was sheer stupidity more than bravery"
"Bravery, not stupidity" you assure him and there comes that dimpled grin again. It makes you feel out of sorts, tingly.
"Must have been an awful earthquake" you sympathise and Eddie nods wincing.
"Yeah, was more concentrated on dying at that point though" this confuses you and you say so.
"It wasn't the earthquake that killed you?" he stares at you puzzled.
"No, it was the bats that killed me' he points to the tattoo of the bats on his arm. Ironic right?"
Wait... What?
"Bats?" his eyes widen.
"Shit you don't know?" he cringes and then turns on his heel and disappears. You call him back, curiosity piqued.
What the heck didn't you know? What was going on? More importantly, you just talked to Eddie Munson.
It's a thought that should terrify you but it doesn't and you find yourself anxious for the chance to speak to him again.
❤️
Eddie must be as curious about you as you are about him because he appears again at the edge of the woods while you are talking to your friends.
Anticipation fills you and you want to talk to him so badly, quickly.
You're a little breathless as you catch up to him and sit on the bench.
"Can you tell me what you meant about the bats, please? If you're okay to talk about it. I understand if you don't. The memories must be awful" he pauses for a few seconds then nods.
"Okay, I'll tell you but be warned. This shit is crazy. You might not believe me" you pay him rapt attention.
"Try me" and with that he begins to tell you everything.
You just talk a lot, he opens up about what really happened in Hawkins in 1986 you're stunned and have so many questions.
Demobats, Vecna, The Upside Down, The Mindflayer, The earthquake that rocked Hawkin's was caused by Vecna killing four people, their friend Max was the last death and it literally opened the gates to hell, where The Upside Down bled into Hawkins.
There was a massive group in Hawkins including Dustin, Nancy, her brother Mike, Steve, Robin and a super powers girl named El that fought against the monsters.
The evil was defeated but Max passed away and that caused a huge fracture in the group as well as Eddie's death.
"Sucked watching all the shit going down, doing my best to help when I could. When I wasn't vanishing for months at a fucking time" Eddie murmurs and his tone hurts your heart.
"Thank you for telling me Eddie. I really appreciate it" he offers you a warm smile and sighs as he looks to the darkening sky.
"You should get home, it's been hours" the darkened sky surprises you and you swear.
"Shit. Dad is going to be so pissed" You gather your things and Eddie clears his throat.
"Can I see you tomorrow sweetheart?" your heart melts at his hopeful expression and you find yourself aching to see him too.
"Count on it" you assure him. He sticks around to make sure you get to your car safely, he's gentlemanly and it's so sweet that you are smiling all the way home.
❤️
Even though you are still stunned about talking to a ghost you enjoy talking to Eddie, you talk a lot about many things and even though he disappears sometimes he always comes back.
The time between his disappearances begins to shorten as he mentions to you one day.
It's the first time he appeared outside your window you were just in your nightie and it was kinda cute watching Eddie stammer out his apology and turn around while you pulled on your robe.
If he could blush you're sure he would.
"Come in" you call to him and it's still pretty cool watching him go through things. He's beaming, something has made him happy and it makes you smile too.
That cute grin of his is infectious.
"The disappearances are shortening princess. It's like an hour now compared to hours or even weeks before we met"
It's amazing this is happening because you miss Eddie like crazy when he isn't around.
"This is amazing" You reach out without thinking and grab his hand, you except to feel cold, nothing at all.
Instead there is only a tiny chill as your fingers interlace through his and he is gazing at you in shock.
"You can feel me?" he whimpers and you nod tightening your grip on his hand as he squeezes your hand back, both of you are at a loss on what to say but it's also so wonderful what happened that you're both grinning at each other in a happy bubble.
❤️
Betty stares at you curiously as you doodle in your notebook, you don't mean to but you're doodling Eddie's name in little hearts.
Fuck. Over the weeks and weeks you had been getting to know each other, his form more solid with each passing day you're feelings are deep and growing by the day.
The truth was you were in love with Eddie.
"You've been lost in thought, daydreaming and smiling to yourself. What's going on? Are you in love with someone?" she asks excitedly.
Your heart speeds up but then comes crushing heartache and tears spill down your cheeks.
"It doesn't matter. It can't ever happen" she looks so confused as she rushes to comfort you.
"I don't understand honey" she wouldn't be able to.
How could you explain that you were head over heels in love with a ghost?
💕
It was a quiet night. Just you and Eddie. His body so close to yours, you bridge the tiny gap between the two of you and lay your head on his chest.
He feels so solid so real and for a few precious seconds you forget that you don't hear his heart beating. That it can never beat. All that matters is that Eddie is here with you.
That's until your doorbell rings and you groan getting up, you can hear that its Todd before you even see him and feel pissed. What the hell did he want?
You open the door just wanting to get this over with.
"Babe! It's been weeks and weeks. Graduation is next Friday! I've been super patient but when are you going to take me back?" you gape at him.
"Uh, how about the first of never? We broke up for good Todd because you're an arrogant bully" he looks stunned for a second.
"This is bullshit! You've met someone else haven't you" There's a shadow upstairs near your room, it's Eddie.
He's protective and you know he won't take Todd shouting at you lightly. However you're well versed in dealing with this dumbass.
"It's none of your business. Go away, Todd. You and I are never going to happen again" he scowls and reaches towards you to grab your arm.
"What are you doing! Let go!" his eyes darken and your heart sinks but then he comes to when you wrench your arm away and he snorts.
Then the next second he's literally flying out the door and lands right on his ass outside. You slam the door shut and head back upstairs knowing Eddie is annoyed.
He is quiet as you head into your room, still fuming that Todd thought you would ever want him back.
"Of all the arrogant, conceited assholes" you huff and you turn to Eddie who is resting on your bed his face blank.
"Eddie?" he gets up, he looks so tense and you move closer to him and gently take his hand.
"Eddie?" he turns to you and he looks forlorn, it makes your heart ache so deeply when he hurts, you hurt.
"What's wrong? Is this about Todd? I don't want him back. You know that right? He's such a douchebag and... He turns away and when he turns back to you his gaze is cold.
"Yeah, he's a dickhead but not every guy you meet will be. You'll find someone special, look at you. You're amazing, sweet, kind, beautiful" his words warm your heart and yet you still feel anxious.
"I don't want some guy. I... You're all I think about Eddie" It's the first time you've admitted out loud even though it's been obvious between you two for a while now.
He shakes his head, his eyes shining but his face set and angry.
"You can't sweetheart. I'm not even here, not really. You can feel me and I can feel you, yeah but it doesn't change the fact that I don't even have a fucking heartbeat"
"It doesn't change the fact that you have no future with me"
There's silence and he begins to fade.
"Please don't go" you beg and he smiles sadly.
"I can't be selfish sweetheart, you deserve someone real, someone who can be with you properly, that can't happen while I'm hanging around. Goodbye princess, thank you for making me happy for the first time in thirty five years" his hand gently strokes over your cheek.
"No, no" you beg but he disappears completely and he doesn't come back, not even for your heartbreaking calls.
Even if it breaks the heart that no longer beats inside of him, he knows he has to stay away.
❤️
It's been a week since Eddie left, sometimes you think that you catch a glimpse of him out of the corner of your eye, smell his cologne when you wake up in the night but it's all just wishful thinking you realise.
You can't even explain to anyone why you're heartbroken, you feel so alone.
Graduation passes by and while you're happy that you and your friends will be together at the newly built Hawkins academy, there is still a heaviness in your heart that is left by Eddie's absence.
For a second you swear you see Eddie at the edge of the forest but he's gone the next second and you're sure much to your disappointment that you imagined it.
He really wasn't coming back. The thought broke your heart all over again.
❤️
The next night you find yourself wandering around Lovers Lake. All your friends are here and it's a massive party for all seniors.
As they party you head off on your own and find the cave that Eddie supposedly haunts, you just want to feel close to him for a little while.
The tears you've been holding in since yesterday fall and you cry it all out, all the heart ache and pain.
"Please don't cry," you think you imagine Eddie's voice but when you look up he's watching you, he looks agonised.
"What are you doing here, I thought you were staying away?" you wipe your eyes and stand up shakily. He swallows and moves closer to you.
"It's hell. Like a physical constant ache, it never goes away, the longing to be with you. When I'm not with you I'm in agony. Didn't know being dead could hurt this much. Hurt even worse than when I died"
Your whole body shakes with tears.
"I feel the same way, it feels like I can't breathe Eddie, it hurts so badly" he reaches out to you and his hand rests on your cheek.
"How can I stick around though? I'm just keeping you from moving on, finding someone who...who can really be with you" he spits out the words, the devastation in his eyes breaks your heart.
"This isn't fair. Life sucks ass you know that?" this brings a smile to his face and you cuddle into him, then you peer up at him.
"I love you Eddie, I'm in love with you" his expression changes, it's like happiness radiates from him and it fills your heart with joy.
"I love you too sweetheart, I'm so in love with you" his lips meet yours and you kiss passionately, pouring all of your love for each other into the kiss.
The kiss is incredible, perfect. You kiss for what seems like hours until you slowly part, Eddie's lips press to your forehead.
Then something weird happens, and Eddie's eyes widen. He stares at you for a second and whispers "Princess"
Then he's just gone.
❤️
Eddie expects to disappear and then re appear within an hour or so.
Instead of an hour it's barely a minute and something feels wrong. One minute he's in The Upside Down and he's bones and dust, the next minute, as if by magic he can feel his body coming back together, bones forming once more, skeleton then his body piecing itself back together, he opens his eyes and he can hear the most wonderful sound that he's heard in thirty five years.
The sound of his own heartbeat. He can't even comprehend how this happened. How he is alive once more.
Maybe magic did exist? If those creatures, the demobats, MindFlayer, Vecna and another dimension under Hawkins then who's to say that magic wasn't real?
A miracle had happened that's for sure. Tears burn in his eyes and he knows so much has changed over the years, his friends are grown up, his uncle an old man.
And yet he was given a second chance, another chance at life and he wasn't going to waste a single second.
At first he's unsteady on his feet, he cuts himself some slack. Shit he's been dead for so long.
Somehow though he gets out of the cold desolate world of the destroyed Upside Down.
He crawls his way out of hell and into the light.
❤️
It's a couple of hours later, you're at home and the sun is beginning to rise. Bird sing fills the air as sunlight fills your room.
That perfect kiss with Eddie fills your mind. Was it a goodbye kiss? Something didn't feel right when he disappeared and it's troubling you what it is.
"Princess" you peer up and Eddie is at your window, you race over to open it and he comes in.
"I thought you were gone" tears blur your vision and you throw your arms around him.
It takes a second for you to realise that he's warm, so warm, Eddie smiles through tears as he says something to you.
He's beaming, absolutely radiant, his whole body is solid and through your haze of tears you hear the words he's been saying to you.
"Princess, listen" he places your hand on his chest and you lean in close.
Thump, thump, thump.
You can feel the steady thump of his heart beat. It's the most beautiful sound you've ever heard.
"How?" you're barely able to gasp out and he shakes his head, he has no idea either.
"After our kiss, I woke up in that place, everything was desolote and there was barely any sign of an exit but I crawled my way out of where my Uncle's trailer used to be" he closes his eyes.
"I was down there in the upside down but then I got to the surface, I could feel the sunlight, hear birds singing and could feel my heart racing, by some fucking miracle I was brought back"
"I've been given a second chance to have a new life, connect with Dustin and the others, spend my life with you if you'll have me, you're the woman I want to spend my life with" you kiss him elated.
"Yes, yes, yes. I'll be by your side through all of it Eddie". His eyes darken in a delicious way that makes your whole body tingle.
"There's so many people I want to see but first I really want to spend the morning making love to my girl. Does that sound good to you Princess?"
"Yes", you manage to say as his arms wrap around you pulling you close to him.
For the first time you make love, feeling Eddie's body close to you, the way he makes you feel is everything.
Mind-blowing orgasms sweep over you both but the absolute best part is when you cuddle into his arms sleepy, when you wake up he's dozing peacefully, there's a smile on his face and you sigh content as you rest your head against his chest.
His heartbeat lulls you back to sleep once more, a smile on your face as you slumber.

More than Friends
Regina Mills x F! Reader A/N: I am back once again to give Tumblr more Regina x reader fics because it's lacking Warnings: Angst with fluff? Words: 950
When you got the call from Regina that Henry was in the hospital you rushed over there immediately, but your boss was nowhere to be found. You had been Regina’s secretary for as long as you can remember.
You paced back and forth in the hospital waiting room near Henry’s room. How would you tell Regina?
Both Emma and Regina came running into the hospital as Dr. Whale and Mother Superior came out of the room looking grim. You glanced up at Regina, you knew what had happened but you weren’t sure how to say it. She looked hopeful, like Henry had possibly already woken up.
“We did everything we could.” Dr. Whale’s voice was filled with remorse
“I’m sorry. You’re too late.” Mother Superior's voice cracked just slightly. Regina looked distraught
In a dase, Emma walked into the room and I tried to pull Regina off to the side but she went into the room shortly after Emma did with Whale and Mother Superior. You followed not too long after. When the realization hit Regina she turned to you and you took her into your arms as she started to sob.
Emma walked over to Henry, taking his small hand in hers. You held Regina’s head in one hand and ran your other hand down her back. You wanted to tell her everything would be okay, but how would everything be okay? Henry is dead.
Emma placed a kiss on her son’s forehead, mumbling something you couldn’t quite hear. You let Regina go from your grip as she turned around a wind brushing both your faces and Henry woke up. Regina gripped your hand with a smile on her face. Henry was okay, her son was okay.
“I love you, too.” Henry looked at Emma as she brushed his hair out of his eyes.
“You saved me.” You had your memories back and you weren’t sure what to do. You wanted to stay with Regina, like you promised you would.
“You did it!” Regina said, just happy that her son was alive. Some nurses started filling in the room and then it hit her.
“No.” She looked around in a panic, you were supposed to protect her, that was your job.
Henry told Emma that she had broken the curse and when Blue went up to them saying that it was true love's kiss, you knew that the both of you were in danger.
“No, No.” Regina looked at you, you couldn’t do anything, not without your magic.
“If I were you two, I would find a place to hide.” Blue said, giving you both a warning.
Regina walked up to Henry, you were unsure of what she was planning to do. Both of you were helpless without your magic, well you not so much.
“Henry, no matter what you think, no matter what anyone tells you,” Regina’s voice started to crack “ I do love you.” All Henry did was glare at her and in that moment your heart broke just a little. You pulled Regina away by grabbing her hand and started running.
Once you reached her house, you locked the door. You had heard Regina run upstairs, to Henry’s room no doubt. You weren’t sure what to do, you weren’t someone who had to deal with this often. You had listened to her rants and everything else when she would talk to you for the past 28 years, but now; now you weren’t sure what to do.
After about 3 minutes of fighting with yourself, you went up the grand staircase and spotted the open door to Henry’s room. You went over and leaned in the doorway debated on how to go about this.
“Hey, Regina,” She looked back at you as you walked into the room. “Henry will be okay and we will find a way to get him back.” You sit down next to her taking one of her hands off the pillow she was holding and into your own.
“Why are you so good to me?” The question startled you. You couldn’t just tell her that you’ve had feelings for her since you started working for her back in the woods.
“Because, I-” You didn’t know what to say. Your face flushed and you pulled your hand from hers so you could cover your face with both.
“It’s embarrassing, and it’s not just because I work for you.” Your voice came out muffled and you heard Regina let out a small chuckle. She pulled your hands off your face and pushed your hair behind your ear.
“You’ve stuck with me through everything, it can’t be that embarrassing.” She’s smiling at you, that genuine smile. You took a breath and told her.
“Regina, I’ve been harboring feelings, romantic feelings for you, for some time.” You tried to pull your hands away but her grip tightened just slightly, not enough to hurt but enough to make you stay.
“Well, that’s good, because so have I. Why do you think I made you my second in command?” You pulled your hands from hers and went to go wipe her wet cheeks and put her forehead against yours.
She put her lips against yours and you didn’t hesitate to kiss back letting your arms fall round her neck. When she pulled back, you both were breathing heavily. You felt a grin form on your face and you giggled just a little.
“I’m glad we can be more than friends.”
“I’ve always wanted to be more than friends.” Regina said as the sky grew slightly. You both went to the window and saw the purple smoke covering Storybrooke, magic was returning. You both wouldn’t go down without a fight.

Coffee for your head | Eddie Munson x FEM!Reader
Summary: Eddie is in his death bed... He has so much to say...
Cw: Major angst warning!! Major character death, sad topics, illness, death bed, agonizing, little smut
Writer's note: This is based off Death Bed by Powfu. I was listening to it when coming home from work, and I wanted to write it as Eddie and you
Don't stay away for too long, don't go to bed
I'll make a cup of coffee for your head
It'll get you up and going out of bed
"I'm sorry, you don't have long enough... Maybe, 4 months"
That was the moment their lives changed
Only at age 25 Eddie Munson has been diagnosed with lung cancer, terminal, there was nothing the doctors could do to safe him
"Eddie... No..." You had whispered grabbing his hand
A lonely tear had left his eye without him noticing, he just let out an anguished breath
Yeah, I don't wanna fall asleep, I don't wanna pass away
I been thinking of our future, 'cause I'll never see those days
I don't know why this has happened, but I probably deserve it
I tried to do my best, but you know that I'm not perfect
"I would recommend enjoying the last moments you have together, do the things you love, eat what you like, just, make good memories in the mean time"
The couple had gone home in silence, quiet sobs being heard from her as she held his hand during the ride home
They had moved together 3 years ago, making a small apartment their safe home, but now it had became all moody and sad
It was no lie that Eddie smoked a lot, since he was a teen, but his cancer had been too aggressive and it was taking him out really fast
"What am I gonna do without you Eddie?" You said sobbing into his chest as he held you close to him
"Live..." You cried even harder
"I can't live without you Eddie, you're my whole life"
I been praying for forgiveness, you've been praying for my health
When I leave this Earth, hoping you'll find someone else
'Cause, yeah, we still young, there's so much we haven't done
Getting married, start a family, watch your husband with his son
That night he tried to calm you down my making love to you, slow and tender, with lots of love in each move he made, his kisses filled with sorrow and pain, he knew he didn't have long to do this so he had to enjoy the moments he had you
During the days his health went downhill, he couldn't move a lot, his breathing would be different during the night, you prayed every night to whoever was out there to save him but they never seemed to answer back
Soon he had to use oxygen to breath properly, moving out of the bed was too much work as time went on
"It's almost time for me to go baby..." He had said to you one day
You had cried onto his chest, begging him not to leave you
I wish it could be me, but I won't make it out this bed
I hope I go to Heaven, so I see you once again
My life was kinda short, but I got so many blessings
Happy you were mine, it sucks that it's all ending
"I love you so much Y/n..."
"I love you too Eddie"
"You'll find someone else baby, someone who will love you so much" you shook your head
"I only want you, you're my only love"
He caressed your cheek
I'm happy that you here with me, I'm sorry if I tear up
When me and you were younger, you would always make me cheer up
Taking goofy videos and walking through the park
You would jump into my arms every time you heard a bark
"Remember that day at the fair? When you got lost and I found you near the fountain?" You nodded "I'll find you again in another life baby"
Cuddle in your sheets, sing me sound asleep
And sneak out through your kitchen at exactly 1:03
Sundays, went to church, on Mondays, watched a movie
Soon you'll be alone, sorry that you have to lose me
"You can go Eddie... Rest my love" you had finally accepted what was to come
"I love you..."
"I love you too..."
With one final smile he closed his eyes and finally left this world...
Don't stay away for too long, don't go to bed
I'll make a cup of coffee for your head
It'll get you up and going out of bed

About the Marine AU
The title is clearly a placeholder until I think of a cool name.
I totally fuck with the timeline for fun but put it back on track about Sky Island / Water 7
There is no Going Merry to fight over fue to them being Marines they have a standarded issued boat that needs repairs. So that is semi changes some of the events.
They still got the gold from Sky Island, and it still gets stolen.
Franky still builds the Sunny, it is just considered Luffy's personal ship and where he has Neon and Franky live because after Enie's Lobby Luffy's fragile trust in the world government is cracking and he wants to prevent anyone from just taking Neon from him again.Sunny.
Also this Sunny has a private Captain's cabin. Franky knew the young couple would need it.
I am trying to avoid too much angst because this is supposed to be a "they get all of the happiness" sort of fic.
*spoilers for future parts not written but in my head*
Yes, there is pregnancy. Neon don't connect the dots well, and goes through Thrillers Bark and the mess of Sabaody while pregnant.
Kuma send her to the RA, where she is confirmed pregnant finally. Her ass still demands to be taken to Marineford to get to Luffy.
Marineford... they get married in the middle of the battlefield. There are drastic changes in Marineford that I am saving.
Neon goes back to the RA when Luffy leaves the Marines, wearing his famous straw hat and becomes a pirate officially. The rest of the crew being loyal as they are, agree.
Rayleigh appears and offers to help train Luffy to be ready for the New World still. So, it still follows the whole disappearance of Luffy and his friends.
*during the time skip*
Neon gets a sort of princess/queen treatment for being Dragon's daughter-in-law and pregnant. She tries to get some training but they tell her no.
So Neon uses a lot of her free time studying and learning what she can.
Robin eventually is saved and meets Neon. Excited to see and hear the news.
*around December*
Neon goes into labor, where a blonde man joins her for her delivery as her support. After baby is born Neon reveals her and Luffy promised if they had a boy they'd name him Sabo.
The blonde man reveals himself to be that Sabo, but it is too late. The papers are filled out. The baby is now also Sabo, which the RA lovingly refers to as Bobo or Baby Sabo.
Robin is Aunt of the year.
Sabo and Dragon fight to hold Bobo all the time when they're not busy.
Once recovered, Neon does get to train.
Neon also has collected every picture of Luffy from the newspaper the RA had archived and is always showing her son pictures of his dad.
*Sabaody Reunion*
Robin and Neon arrive to find Franky tinkering with the Sunny
Franky is surprised to see a toddler but immediately sets out to plan on baby proofing the sunny.
Everyone else arrives and gushes over Sabo.
Luffy arrives, floored that he has a son, but immediately puts on his dad pants and apologizes to Neon for not being there for her and Sabo.

That last son of Aphrodite Nico post has me thinking about amnesiac Nico, so can you give some headcanons for an au where Hera doesn’t trust Nico enough to let him keep his memories, like him going back and forth through the camps after saving Hazel until his memories get taken but nobody except for Hazel is worried until Percy gets his memories back. And when they finally find him they wouldn’t have the time to deal with helping him get his memories back!!! I think itd be so good if everything went the same way it did in canon especially if he gets his memories back during the Cupid scene 😭😭
Amnesiac Nico AU
Nico arrives to Camp Jupiter a few days after Jason disappears, without any memories.
Hazel tries filling the blanks as best as she can, but Nico is a very private person, and there's a lot she doesn't know.
General consensus among the Romans is: Not a Legionnaire, not our problem, and the Greek side doesn't notice he's missing for a while, and Percy's own vanishing takes priority.
The "I know you" "Do you?" exchange is completely sincere here. Both Percy and Nico are certain they know each other, but don't know who or what they were to each other.
They are joined at the hip the whole time, just talking about vague memories and trying to piece their shared pasts. Hazel watches them, hopeful Nico will remember himself.
Nico dreams with Thanatos the night Mars appears. He tells him that he can't go with Percy, Hazel and Frank, as his role is to find the Doors of Death.
Percy kisses Nico before going their separate ways ("I'm not sure if it's something we did before, but it's what feels right."). Nico goes, thinking that maybe this is what Juno was trying to keep from them.
When Percy gets his memories back, he feels like he took advantage of Nico. He obviously hates him, yet he believes they are something else because of his amnesia. He promises himself to help Nico remember whatever it takes.
Percy feels even worse when Annabeth because he unknowingly betrayed her. He confesses what he did, and Annabeth begins avoiding him.
Jump to Nico's rescue. When he wakes up, he smiles at Percy and mumbles he knew he would find him. He's still memory wiped, and Percy doesn't know how to break it to him.
Nico notices he remembers, though, and asks about them. Percy only says their relationship is not quite what they thought, but that they always end up protecting each other ("That's enough for me," he says, happy). Percy promises to help him get his memories back too.
Percy falls with Annabeth. Nico despairs. Hazel tells him that Percy and Annabeth are dating. Nico is torn between hating Percy, and understanding that they were both misunderstanding their relationship.
Outwardly, Nico acts like it's no big deal, that he and Percy were completely platonic, but inside, Nico suffers because he realized he's in love, and he doesn't know if that was the case before he lost his memories.
Cupid wants him to be honest about his feelings, but Nico refuses because he doesn't want to burden Percy, his friend. Cupid's arrows show him glimpses of his past, and he ends up admitting that he fell for Percy, not once, but twice.
Cupid shoots him once more and Nico remembers everything, and feels like throwing up. How on Earth was he acting like a love-struck fool with Percy, in public? And even admitted it in front of Jason Grace?
Canon happens, Percy and Annabeth get back. Percy goes to hug Nico when they reunite, but Nico just says, "I remember now, so you can stop pretending."
Percy is hurt. Nico is hurt. They go their separate ways. Angst abounds.
Percy realizes he's betraying Annabeth again, because he keeps going back to kissing Nico. He wanted to do it again when he left with Reyna and Hedge. He breaks up with Annabeth in Athens.
Canon happens again. Nico confesses to Percy, hoping to just get it over with and move on, but Percy surprises him by confessing back.

ඞ amongus askjdfhasjf im so srry, the game's ruined the word imposter for me lol u got me imagining scenarios n shii bro (⁄ ⁄>⁄ ▽ ⁄<⁄ ⁄) bro, jason being the first one to find bentley and trying to save bentley bc no one saved him</3 and he's trying and trying to put pressure on bentley's wounds but blood is still like pouring out, bentley slowly losing conciousness. jason telling bentley to focus on him bc he's not going to die today and he's trying to keep bentley awake (╥﹏╥) telling bentley that help is coming soon, that he's going to be okay, and maybe having a conversation to try and keep bentley awake
brooo i could see like that one meme when batman finds them bentley: was i a good son? bruce: no. bruce: you were the best :,)
and like bentley dying in his arms w a smile on his face because's he's finally found his found family and has people that love him for once in his life bruce losing another son and him feeling like a failure of a father for not protecting bentley :< but i could also see him having like a dilemma w like bentley breaking his one rule: no killing even though that's what saved everyone in the end and like the loss of another son and he doesn't know what to feel (b isn't v good w dealing w his emotions)
aaa and after bentley's death, dick hides his emotions behind a mask, trying to cheer up everyone one (っ ᵔ◡ᵔ)っ and like making the atmosphere less sadge :( bc he feels like that's what bentley would have wanted(?) bc he's always looking out for the fam and trying to make things better? srry i suck at explaing aaa
then damien, oh damien, just right after they fixed things between them :( i feel like his griefing process = anger. he's just a little bottle of anger that's filled to the very top and any little thing sets him off. he's angry at himself, he's angry at black and white hair mans, he's angry at like,,, everything ヽ( `д´*)ノ
:( timmy going through like shock, denial(?maybe), anger, depression and goes into a state where he's neglecting his health because he's so focused on avenging bentley's death by trying to find everyone responsible and putting them behind bars
srry for bothering u. gosh, i just. i love ur writing sm, the way u write,,, like it's so, i can practically see the scenes happening in my mind. i reread both books twice while waiting for chap 43 to drop lol

thank you so much for your love and support it means the absolute world, also don’t be afraid to talk to me haha! I’m about as scary as a marshmallow lmao

Saw your tags-- I think that's why S8 is my favorite: for all its (many, many, many) flaws, Mulder and Scully were allowed to be unabashedly heartsick and in love and goofily happy and a couple. It felt like the next step of their S7 dynamic; and, of course, having William on board doesn't hurt things.
I also loved Doggett, loved Skinner's more hands-on role, TLG were fun, even Monica was neat-o, and Kersh coming back? Stressful but he served a purpose. The ending with Mulder, Scully, and their baby while Doggett and Monica nail Kersh to the wall sets up so much potential-- Mulder still saving the world, but as an independent (without the chains or the FBI to hold him down); Scully has everything she could ever want and the future is bright; TLG are so happy their buddy is back; Doggett got some closure helping Scully, finding Mulder for her (when he couldn't save his son); Monica was... there, but sweet; and Skinner got to shake off the shackles of the previous seasons and be both Mulder and Scully's rock.
Love it. And even the... not great episodes had good character moments for Scully and Doggett and Skinner (and the rest can be fast-forwarded.)
I wish the two parter finale could be scrapped and completely reworked (I just watch until Mulder/Scully escape from her apartment and right before Krycek shows up, then skip to the ending of Existence and fill in the rest w/ fic); but manos de piedra, Mulder in beige running game on Doggett on a Saturday while Maggie throws his partner a baby shower, Skinner being nosy about the paternity (he knows, BUT) and even Krycek parts were... worth it? XDDD
ESSAY ASIDE, XDDDD, it's fun for me~. ;)))))
Very valid opinion! It's nice that the angst from the first part of the season somewhat eases off in the end. For me, it's just all too muddled. I didn't like the inclusion of that brain disease (so unnecessary), or the fact that Mulder came back from the death and was pretty much the same he always was. The whole "is he the dad or is he not" was tiresome to me. There weren't even all that many MSR scenes! And then they're separated for all of Existence for no reason whatsoever.
There definitely are great moments. I love Doggett and Skinner, too. All in all, though, it's not enough for me. But I love that you love the season so much. It would be boring if we all only liked the same things!
#lovely asks#as always#it's the execution for me#cc being like hahaha mulder and scully weren't as close as you thought in season 7!#fuck off cc#and then he doesn't want to do the emotional work#scully is not angry that mulder kept that brain disease from her? he has no trauma after being dead? his muscles work perfectly??#i'm sorry but#txf

Sunlight (FANFIC)
New Chapter of my angst fic series 💜
The front door of the house is finally open, and Carlo and Romeo are both finally outside, rays of sunlight finally hitting their skin that had become very pale, they sat down next to a big Pinecone tree that is just outside the house, Geppetto is next to them, he can’t let them out of his sight. Both don’t say anything, they are just admiring the view, admiring the peace they are having, the warmth of the sun, for the first time they feel free, and they don’t want this feeling to end, they want to stay here.
“If the two of you keep up with your good behavior and if you are well enough, I can let you both outside more” Geppetto means what he says, he also likes being outside again, but he is more happy that his two boys are happy.
They can behave that’s rather easy, but feeling well is not going to be easy, it’s not as if they can control that.
Carlo feels something landing on his fingers, he finds that it is a small cricket, moving his legs and chirping along the way.
“Father, what happened to Gemini?” Carlo wasn’t Gemini’s friend, Pinocchio was his friend, but Carlo remembers what his brother did, who could he not? He is trapped in his body after all.
Geppetto stays silent for a moment before answering, “During the fight, he was broken” the fight against Simon that is.
“How broken?” Carlo already robbed his brother of his life, it’s unfair that Pinocchio’s best friend would be dead as well, but he has to know if there is a chance, a possibility that he could be repaired.
“If you want me to fix him, I will” To Geppetto, what Carlo asks of him isn’t just a question, it’s a demand, he would give him anything he wants.
Carlo looks at his father and just gives him a nod, Romeo is still quiet, he wants to enjoy the sun all he can, it makes him more comfortable, comfy even.
Hours pass, the silence being comforting, their worries washing away, they have no reason to talk, they simply need to enjoy the moment, yet sadly all good things must come to an end, Twilight has already begun to fill the skies and it won’t be long before the darkness of the night comes out.
“Boys, it’s time to go” Geppetto knows that they don’t want to but they have to obey his rules.
Both Carlo and Romeo look away, Carlo clenches his fist into the ground, a small amount of dirt now in his fingernails, Romeo backs away more, his back now glued to the tree.
“Carlo, Romeo” Geppetto has a stern look on his face, he is scolding them, and they wonder if he is going to try and count to three to intimidate them, well that’s the best-case scenario anyway.
Romeo stands up, he feels desperate and doesn’t want to leave, but he knows he won’t make it far if he tries to run away, and if he behaves himself, if he is a good boy then maybe he can enjoy going outside again.
Carlo looks at Romeo, he is frustrated, not at him but at the situation they are in, Carlo also knows that running away won’t do them any good so with the help of Romeo he stands up and very slowly they make their way back to their home, Geppetto closes the door behind them, the seven locks one by one, and he tells his sons to rest while he prepares dinner.
Geppetto is very proud of them, his two sons are good obedient boys.
Pinocchio… was always a very obedient boy too, he will never forget when he ripped out his heart when Geppetto turned back to see him, he was on the ground his body twitching, and Geppetto felt guilty, he still felt guilty but there was no turning back, and he had to save Carlo.
He went to Pinocchio’s side and carried him in his arms, his son closed his eyes but not before tears fell from them, and he said his final words.
“I… ove… y… fa…ther” Pinocchio loved him until the very end, despite how he used him, despite his betrayal.
You are a monster, a horrible father, you murdered your own son.
Geppetto has to hold this burden, he will never forgive himself for what he did, but Carlo was always his priority.
Pinocchio wanted to live, and Carlo wants to die, how well did your plan turn out?
His thoughts are cut away by the knife he is holding, as he accidentally cuts his finger, too distracted to pay attention to the dinner he is preparing, he wraps a bandage around it and pushes those thoughts away. Geppetto is reminded of how Carlo asked for Gemini to be brought back.
Since Gemini was damaged he entered a rest mode, there wasn’t anything Geppetto couldn’t fix, however, there are times when some things can never be fully repaired, that is the case with Gemini’s vocal input.
Geppetto finished making dinner, he wasn’t hungry himself but he had to eat something, especially in front of Carlo he has to set a good example for his son, Carlo has been losing weight due to his refusal to eat. When they are done, Geppetto goes to his workshop; from there he opens a small drawer that contains Gemini’s broken cage, he fixes him up and takes a deep breath before resetting Gemini, and turning him back on.
The small cricket is back, Gemini is almost like a ballerina inside a toybox, beautifully detailed but never meant to be outside its cage, he made it look cute and friendly because he thought that Pinocchio might like something like that, something conforming in those hard times.
And you failed him
From inside Geppetto could see the little mechanical cricket examine his surroundings, he talked to talk but he couldn’t, although the appropriate thing to say is that he couldn’t form words, as chirping did came out of his cage as he was programmed to.
Gemini gave Geppetto a look, a disappointing look, Gemini knows what he did.
“Please don’t look at me like that” Geppetto was always proud of Gemini, he was a good companion to his son.
“I… ove… y… fa…ther” Geppetto hears his dying voice again.
Gemini is chirping the glow on his eyes and the cage is red, indicating that he is angry, and with good reason, then this chirping stops and his color changes to a light blue, now the cricket expressing his sadness.
“Look, I don’t know what you said, but whatever you said to me I deserve it and more, please forgive me” Geppetto is wondering how many lives has he ruined just to have Carlo back.
And I will ruin more if it means having him by my side.
Gemini is back to being red and Geppetto can tell that he is not accepting his forgiveness, but it’s fine because he doesn’t deserve it anyway. Gemini is staring at him, and Geppetto can at least understand what that means.
“Carlo said that he wanted me to fix you”
Geppetto sees Gemini roll his eyes.
“He probably just wants another friend, Carlo is a very good boy you’ll love playing with him, Romeo would also love the company”
Gemini looks at him confused, right, he still doesn’t know about that. Geppetto tells him what happened, and while he is at it he tells him what happened to everyone else at the Hotel, he also mentions Carlo’s toys, Gemini deserves to know the full truth.
Gemini becomes blue, he is quiet. Geppetto decides it’s best to leave him alone for some time, to collect his thoughts.
——
“We should have at least tried to run away,” Carlo says to Romeo, he is starting to regret not doing it.
“Carlo don’t say that” Romeo agrees with him, but Geppetto is constantly listening to them, it’s not a good idea to say that out loud.
They stay quiet for some time, it’s really hard to make conversation about anything, at least when they are playing in the basement they have something to talk about, made up, but something.
“How can I even apologize to him?”
Romeo knows that Carlo isn’t talking about Geppetto, he is talking about Gemini, Romeo reassures him, he sounds like a broken record, Carlo constantly blames himself for everything, and no matter how many times he is told that it isn’t his fault, it simply doesn’t work.
They lay down in bed next to each other, the atmosphere was tense, they enjoyed being outside, their father let them outside way more than they thought he would, that their father would only let them out for a few minutes, not hours.
“Romeo maybe we really shouldn’t…”
Shouldn’t try and run away, Romeo knows what Carlo is trying to tell him, and a part of him unfortunately agrees.
“Let’s just go to bed”
——-
In the morning Geppetto has Gemini in his hands, he hands him down to Carlo, telling him to take good care of him and explaining what happened to his voice. Geppetto also tells Gemini to be a good friend to his son.
Carlo and Romeo take Gemini to the basement, Gemini looks around to see Carlo’s “toys” his cage is glowing blue again.
“Gemini I’m sorry”
Gemini looks at Carlo, he can see that Carlo is truly apologetic, to him that is, he can tell that he doesn’t feel sorry about killing everyone else at the hotel, or maybe Carlo has deluded himself so much that he thinks his playthings are the same as the real ones, watching him play with Romeo is disturbing, Romeo mostly goes along with what Carlo is doing, although Gemini can tell that he sometimes enjoys the game as well.
And he thought Pinocchio acted like a child, this is on a completely different level. Although a part of him can’t blame them for acting like this, if he was trapped in a place like this with nothing else to do he would start to do anything to entrain himself.
… Wait now he is trapped with them too, and he has no other choice but to play along with them.
At first, Gemini just observed them, they did try and talk to him but first, he couldn’t and second, he wasn’t really in the mood to reply.
Until both of them stop and there is an awkward silence, he sees that Carlo is examining his body and that Romeo is getting worried about what he is doing.
He watches as Carlo scratches his fingernails against his own body, Romeo grabbing his arms to stop him from hurting himself further.
“It’s not right, it’s not right, my skin it’s not right” Carlo feels as if there is something under his skin, something stiff, he has to take off his skin, he has to get rid of what’s underneath, but he is also afraid, afraid that instead of muscle or bones he just be meet with wires and gears.
Romeo has a good grasp on Carlo, but Gemini sees how Carlo just gets more and more distressed until Geppetto comes downstairs to help him.
——
Gemini is next to the bed stand, Romeo is lying down on a mattress and Carlo is in his bed but they aren’t asleep yet.
“Romeo I’m sorry I don’t think we are going to go outside again”
Silence
“I’m never going to feel better again”
Romeo stands up and lays in bed next to Carlo and just hugs him because maybe Geppetto will let them out again one day, but Carlo is right, he is never going to get better, Romeo knows he is also never going to get better. The more time has passed, the worse things have gotten.
Gemini can see that both are in a lot of pain, yet a part of him doesn’t want to feel bad for Carlo, after all, he killed the people he cared about.
“I had to do it Gemini” Carlo said, almost as if he was reading Gemini’s mind.
“They were trying to hurt Father, I couldn’t let them do that” There is no expression in his voice, Gemini can’t feel any emotion, as if he is just stating a fact, but he also sees Carlo is smiling, yet at the same time his eyes tell a completely different story they are full of sorrow and regret, and Gemini doesn’t know what to think, what emotion is supposed to be the one that he truly means.
Or maybe he is feeling all of them.
Carlo eventually falls asleep but not Romeo, everything is silent until Romeo starts talking.
“Gemini” Romeo is whispering he doesn’t want to wake up Carlo, “Carlo isn’t a bad person, please you have to understand he is just sick”
Gemini stays silent, he wants to be understanding but he feels like he can’t, he deeply loved everyone at the Hotel, and now they are all gone; gone and replaced by those puppets that Carlo calls his toys. But at least maybe he and Romeo can somewhat get along, they are forced to be here as well.
“And when we feel sick Father takes good care of us, so that’s good”
Never mind Romeo is just as gone as Carlo.
Some more time passes, and Romeo just cries until he eventually falls asleep.
Gemini has more time to reflect, can he truly hate them? It’s really pitiful the state they are in, and he starts to recall his time with Pinocchio, a conversation they once had that he could never forget.
“Gemini… I think me and Carlo would have gotten along” Pinocchio said to him while staring at the ocean.
“What makes you say that buddy?” Gemini wasn’t being rude, he just hadn’t met Carlo by that point.
“It’s just… a feeling, I wish I could have met him, father really loves Carlo” Pinocchio looked at the sky, a shooting star was seen, and Pinocchio got excited, and he made a wish.
“What did you wish for?” asked Gemini
“It’s about Carlo, I want him to-, no wait if I say it, it won’t come true!”
Gemini remembers how they laughed together, Pinocchio… that idiot, why did you wish for that?!
Geppetto wasn’t the only one who heard Pinocchio’s last words, Gemini did too before going into his rest mode. Pinocchio was kind, very kind, and he gave up his life for Carlo, he truly wanted Carlo and Geppetto to be happy, even if that meant he wouldn’t be around to see it.
“Pinocchio, I promise you, I won’t let your sacrifice be in vain” Gemini couldn’t let his friend die in vain, and he knew that this was what he wanted, well, not this exactly this situation is horrible, but Pinocchio wanted Carlo and his father to be happy together, the least Gemini can do is live out his wish for him, maybe in time he will come to accept the situation; hopefully not how Carlo and Romeo have accepted it.
As the night progressed, Gemini watched as Carlo and Romeo were shaking, he could tell they were scared, and both were having nightmares, so Gemini decided to do something he hadn’t done in a long time, only something he ever did for Pinocchio.
He lifted his small arms together and began to sing a tune, the movement resembling one of a violin, he could sing just as a real cricket could, and as he sang he could tell that the two of them were feeling calmer, the shaking had stopped and their sleep became peaceful.
Gemini sang until morning; as he ended his tune, from a crack of the boarded window in the room, a few rays of the sun shined through the dark room, the small light had landed at the perfect angle, where the three of them could feel the slight amount of sunlight, a slight amount of happiness.

I’m gonna power through the rest of Layton’s run cause I’m already sick of it. Issue 2 opens with a bunch of exposition before cutting to Hank and Bobby, who are apartment hunting and run into Hank’s old girlfriend Vera, who to his horror has turned into a hippy. They’re interrupted by a brand-new villain named Tower, who has size alteration powers and beats up Hank and runs off with him. Back at X-Factor HQ, Scott finally decides to call Maddy, but she disconnected her phone. His angst is cut short by X-Factor being called to Vera’s apartment to clean up Tower’s mess, where Bobby fills them in. We learn that Tower was hired by Dr. Carl Maddicks, who interfered with Hank’s experiment years ago that left him stuck in blue form. He wants to use Hank as a test subject for his own version of the experiment, which he hopes will turn his mutant son Artie into a human. To get rid of loose ends, he calls X-Factor on Tower, which of course backfires.
X-Factor gets Maddicks’s location from Tower, and off they go. For some reason, Maddicks is doing his experiments in the basement of the legitimate company that he works for, so our heroes have to break through all their security to get to the bottom. Maddicks, horrified, explains everything, and asks that they save his son while he holds off the guards, who’ll kill them all if they get there. X-Factor escapes with Artie and the comatose Hank, who wakes up to find that Maddicks’s experiments reverted him to his original appearance. This was a really dumb story. I love Artie, but there was no reason to revert Hank. He went from a visually distinct character with ironic symbolism to another guy with the power to be slightly stronger and more agile than a human. Also, I still don’t like the way Layton writes Scott and Jean, although to his credit I really like his Bobby.
Our heroes are trying to train Rusty and Artie (whose powers are to be mute, pink, and project mental images), but they kinda suck at it. While they’re away on X-Factor business, which turns out to be a dead end, Rusty decides to run away, but he’s captured by Frenzy, a mutant with invulnerability and strength. Frenzy belongs in the henchmen hall of fame, and is in my opinion Layton’s best contribution to X-lore. Artie warns the others where Rusty went, and they save him, although Frenzy escapes. Everybody apologizes for pushing Rusty too hard, and it’s a happy ending.
Issue 5 is Layton’s last issue, and his best. At the beginning, our heroes are working out and goofing off like they’re kids again, but secretly they’re all wondering if their old friendship still exists. This is the first time in the series where it seems like it was a good creative decision to reunite these five together, and I wish Layton had shown more interest in the group friendship dynamic from the start, rather than just the Scott/Jean/Warren love triangle. Meanwhile, Jean has started taking night classes in psychology, a plotline that I think is really interesting, although I don’t remember if it goes anywhere. Probably not. Anyway, the case of the week is Michael Nowlan, a mutant with the power to augment other mutants’ powers. The downside is that it also gives the other mutants an addictive high, so he’s been kept prisoner by the Alliance of Evil, a team that includes Tower, Frenzy, Stinger, who zaps people, and Time Shadow, who has weird time-shifty powers. Michael has escaped their custody and gone to his ex-wife Susan, who calls X-Factor on him due to his own drug addiction. X-Factor finds Michael, but the Alliance kidnaps Susan and confronts X-Factor in Michael’s motel, where he has no choice but to boost the villains. They beat up the heroes and go back to their master- Apocalypse. And that’s the end of Layton’s run. It was not good. The only thing this run seemed interested in was sixties nostalgia. Simonson, who’s about to take over, sees the book as an opportunity to explore how time apart has changed the friendships in this group, but Layton just wanted to bring them all back to where they were in 1970. I’ve complained enough about this. Time to move on to the next chapter of X-Factor.

Do you want Oboro to make a comeback in the manga? Or do you think that'd be rude to Kurogiri?
I have mixed feelings about this.
I feel like people commonly refer to Kurogiri and Oboro as 2 different people. But I really don't see them that way.
Going purely by what we see in the show, let's be real here, Kurogiri's personality that is shown is very little.
From what we see in the show, he's formal and well-spoken, he's sinister, and he cares about Tomura.
But we slowly learn that this person does not have the free will we thought he did. And the personality that is there is influenced by who he used to be.
Even though Oboro is dead, he's not gone. In a way, he's present.
I see Kurogiri as Oboro. Just, traumatized.
His mind and body have all been tampered with and conditioned. And the part that hasn't been taken away from him is a remnant of when he did have freedom.
Kurogiri, to me, is a victim of AFO. Oboro being there does NOT take away from his character. It literally only adds to it.
The Kurogiri we've seen thus far is a (somewhat) successful project.
Oboro is now Kurogiri. He's been conditioned and transformed into that. Kurogiri is just a present version of Oboro. He's a victim of the Doctor and AFO's efforts.
The point I'm trying to make here is accepting the fact that Kurogiri was forced into this is important. And the modifications done to him have made sure he stays that way. Kurogiri IS Oboro, just hurt.
Now. With that in mind on the way I see this character's situation, I would love Kurogiri to be free. I would love to see him have his memory and control back, I would love for him to remember the pain he went through mentally and physically. I would love for this character to be happy and himself. (And no this does not mean for his entire experience as Kurogiri to be erased, trust me I love the league as a family so this is the last thing I want lmao. But he is who AFO wanted him to be, I want him as who he is freely.)
BUT. With the way I'm seeing the Manga go, I do not feel it'll take its time on letting Oboro heal and have self-discovery. Or give Kurogiri freedom.
I think there's simply not enough time for there to be a proper conclusive satisfying arc for this character.
Either Oboro won't shine through Kurogiri anymore and simply becomes a properly buried past and Kurogiri goes on to continue fighting the heroes and dies.
or
Kurogiri does not wake up again at all and dies.
or
Oboro is given free will again but they fully separate Kurogiri from his character so he's completely back to normal because they don't have time to give him an actual arc.
or
It's a mixture where we see him slowly go through self discovery and accept who he is BUT it's only implied and not shown thoroughly or not shown his self-discovery as finished by the time the show has ended. Only that he's progressing.
or
we don't get any updates on him, and he's still comatose by the time the manga is done.
tldr; I see Kurogiri as a traumatized Oboro and want him to have freedom again and accept who he is but also can say that this idea is mostly up to fanfic authors because the manga probably has no time to expand on his character.
#follower 7 answers#also. please respect this viewpoint lmao#i've already seen multiple ppl on twitter shit on Kurogiri's past#Kurogiri is literally my favorite villain#and him having an angst filled backstory only makes things better#I love my incorporeal parental bartender#and i want him to find happiness and save his angst filled son#but... thats mostly just my self indulgence.. hori wouldn't be that nice#shirakumo oboro#oboro shirakumo#kurogiri#kuroboro

「 Inside The Black 」
Part 2
☾ Pairing: Billy Hargrove x (fem)Reader
☾ Summary: Flayed!Billy comes to your house in the middle of the night, confused and trying keep control of his body. If you can't save him, then he at least wants to show you how much he loves you. One last time.
☾ CW: violence, smut, VERY rough sex, angst, crying, P in V, unprotected sex, choking, bits of fluff, constant shifts in emotion.
🛑 18+ MINORS DNI 🛑
☾ Word Count: 3.6k
☾ A/N: I've been working on this one for a couple days, and it is HEAVY. I'm really happy with how it came out though. ♡ Just uhh... be ready to board the Pain Express 😭
Have you ever drowned in slow-motion?
You can breathe, but barely. Not enough air to fully satisfy your body's needs, but don't get greedy. Breathe too deep, and you will suffocate. Filling your body with the offending pollution that lives and thinks. It even speaks.
I want you to build. Find her. End this. End… everyone.
Billy had one foot in the blue tinted underground, and another in this familiar room. The more his mind became polluted, the less familiar that room felt. The two images flashed back and forth, flickering through each other until that sinking feeling came. The feeling of losing himself. Walking down that barren road in The Upside Down.
"Noo! Let me out, you son of a bitch!!" He screamed into the ambient void. It was useless, but his rage (and fear) still bubbled to the surface. So much that even his living body on the upside felt the turmoil.
Here, in the 'normal' world, his girlfriend was freaking the fuck out. Before all this, it was any boring Tuesday night in Hawkins. You had finished up your shift at the Starcourt Mall, instructing Jazzercise classes. Usually your boyfriend would pick you up after his own shift at the community pool, lingering at the entrance to check out every leotard-clad ass in the room. Typical for him, and harmless. If anything, it meant he was in a good mood. The married mothers would grin and show off when they noticed his gaze, and who could blame them? He was a wet dream in tight denim, dirty blonde hair still fluffed and curly, and a cigarette always either between his lips or pinched between his fingers. The air surrounding him was always heavy with women in heat. Even still, he would only look. His hands, and every other part of him, were strictly reserved for you. His crown jewel. To him, you shined brighter than any of the other chicks around here. Seeing him look at you that way was enough to make your day.
Today wasn't one of those days.
There was no Billy waiting for you to end your class today. Not even a sight of him sitting in his car outside. So, with no other way to get home, you had to swallow your pride and ask Steve of all people to take you home. Oh, Billy's gonna love this. It would serve him right. Although the thought of him regretting standing you up was short amusement, you knew how it would really go. There was still a small hole beside your window (now covered by a mirror) where his fist had landed just an inch or two from your face. He never meant to actually punch you, but he made his point clear with intimidation. If he couldn't entertain the women of Hawkins like he used to, then you'd better return the favor. So, hearing that his unofficial rival had driven you home in his absence, wouldn't go over smoothly.
You sighed, laying back on your bed after a shower and a change of clothes. Steve, despite his single status, made no moves towards you and simply dropped you off. Thank goodness. Still, Billy would never let it slide. The blanket shifted beneath you as you rolled over toward your nightstand and popped in one of the mixtapes he made for you. 'Rock You Like A Hurricane' filled the room with a welcome distraction. I won't work myself up over this. I won't worry about what little whore he might be fucking. I won't call-
Tap. Tap. Tap.
The window rattled just enough for you to hear it over the music, drawing you out of your spiraling thoughts. Completely oblivious to the rain that had started to pour down at some point after your shower. Maybe it was just a branch from a nearby tree.
Tap. Tap. Tap.
Definitely not a branch. You scooted off of your bed, inching cautiously towards the window. Of all the things to see, you didn't expect your boyfriend to be standing there. Every inch of his clothes appeared to be soaked through from the rain. "You gonna stare at me, or let me in?" He spoke in an irritated tone. Oh great. I get this version of him tonight. The window creaked as you lifted it enough for him to climb through. The moment he was inside, you shut it again as quietly as possible. Regardless of turning eighteen you still lived under your parent's roof. Today was embarrassing enough without having to explain Billy's presence at this hour to your mom and dad.
"Alright, what's the excuse?"
Billy offered no response. Hell, not even eye contact as he stood there dripping all over the carpet. His eyes stayed forward, staring into the mirror on your dresser. Locked in a staring contest with himself through the stringy ringlets of blonde curls hanging down his face.
"Billy? Are you seriously going to ignore me right now?!" You stepped closer, standing on the right side of him. "Billy!" Hot with rage, you raised your hand to shove his shoulder. Billy's hand shot out and gripped your wrist, finally giving you his attention. As his head slowly turned to look in your direction, your blood ran cold.
Those beautiful blue eyes were glossy and filling to the brim with tears. His long lashes fluttered, letting a single tear free to roll down that soft cheek. The skin there was slightly red and puffy. Seeing him brought to tears was rare, and the sight was both heartbreaking and beautiful beyond belief. Something was off… The expression on the rest of his face was stone, if not a bit strained. Only his eyes were crying out to you.
"B-Billy…?"
On the other side. The Upside Down, echoed with the distant sound of your voice. Repeating his name with growing concern. If only you could hear his screaming, trying to call back out to you over the thundering storm in the distant nowhere. Over the Mind Flayer's orders, telling him to take you back 'home'. To make you one with him.
You know you can't fight me for long…
Make her one of us. Then you'll never be separated again…
"No…" Billy managed a whisper, blinking more tears out of his eyes. "Leave me.."
"You're the one who came here. Clearly you need- I dunno, something. If you just need to cry, that's okay." The grip he held on your wrist was painfully tight, but you didn't try to pull away. Whatever nonsense argument you two might've gotten into was irrelevant now (at least until tomorrow). Something wasn't right… As you looked into his eyes again you could've swore you saw his pupils expanding. Almost swallowing his eyes in black.
Internally, he paced. Fighting to keep his composure. If there was any time for him to think straight, he needed it now more than ever. Your voice echoed again, louder this time. "Just tell me what's wrong, please. You know I won't judge you. Remember when you first told me about your dad?" Just as the words reached his ears, the area around him shifted and morphed into someplace more familiar. The bedroom his physical body was standing in now. Hazy visions of the two of you flickered in his memory, seeing himself crumpled in your arms. You held him, planting kisses in his hair and letting him get it all out. It was clearing up the more you spoke about it.
The black in his eyes shrunk back to normal, bringing his consciousness to the surface. His lips curled into a weak smile. "I remember." There was no telling how long it would last, but a trip down memory lane seemed like some sort of temporary cure. "That was also the night we first, uhh-"
"Pfft, of course that's what you'd remember. The sex."
The beast rattled in the back of his mind, threatening to take control again. So, Billy loosened his grip on your wrist and brought it to his lips. "Tell me more about it." He spoke through sensual kisses placed first on your wrist, then up your arm until he reached your shoulder. The first kiss alone had goosebumps raising all over your body. After all the violent urges the Mind Flayer had been feeding him, being gentle reminded him that for now he had control. "Tell me the story."
This day keeps getting weirder and weirder. You thought, but it was better than arguing. Billy continued lavishing your body with kisses, hooking his finger under the strap of your top and guiding it down your shoulder. "Well, uh, you came here after getting into a fight with your dad. I comforted you.. and then we…"
"We kissed." Just as he finished your sentence, he pressed his lips against yours. His body wasn't giving off as much heat as usual, but his lips were still soft. It always brought a fluttering feeling in the pit of your stomach. Even after all this time together. Molding together in rhythm until he was consuming your quiet moans.
Bring her to me.
The corners of Billy's vision began to blur again, so he closed his eyes altogether. Not yet, not again. Aggression bled into the affectionate and passionate swirl that was shielding his mind. The innocent kiss deepened as Billy grunted and dug his fingers into the plump flesh of your thighs. A little bit of pain was a turn-on for you. It made you gasp and welcome his probing tongue to explore your mouth. You didn't know the pain was a sign that his control was slipping.
"Keep going." The whispered plea slipped through Billy's lips as he broke your kiss to rest his forehead against yours. His jaw was tightening, and he gritted his teeth. "Please."
"You said you'd try to be gentle with me."
A gravely purr rumbled from the base of his throat. "I can't promise you I'll be gentle this time around, baby."
You chewed on the corner of your bottom lip, feeling the gradual shift in his advances. What started as tender and heartfelt affection was transforming into something rougher and more sinister than you expected. It shouldn't have come as a surprise. Billy was rarely the type to 'make love' when you slept together. More often than not, his love was violent. It left bruises on your backside, and even on your hips where he would grip your love handles and steer you down forcefully onto his cock. In the beginning of your relationship it used to offend you. Now not only have you understood that he expresses himself through aggression, but you've actually started to enjoy it. "Then don't be. Maybe I want you to break me."
"You don't know…what you're getting yourself into."
Was his voice always that deep? The little details didn't matter to you at that moment. Your boyfriend was struggling with something. With shaking hands, you tucked your fingers under the hem of your shirt and lifted it over your head. Since you were heading to bed (before Billy showed up) there was no bra restricting your breasts. The spaghetti strapped top was tossed into the corner of the room, but Billy's eyes stayed on your exposed chest.
He was on you in the blink of an eye, roughly molding your breasts in his hands. His left hand raised one of your breasts up to his lips, so he could flick and circle your nipple with his tongue. So eager in his movements, it felt like he was holding himself back from completely devouring you. The sensation made you gasp and whimper. Back and forth, he switched between each nipple. Suckling until they were both engorged and painfully sensitive. Even when you winced and dug your fingertips into his bicep, he didn't let up or slow down. Your body was at his mercy. To be played with and used as he saw fit.
"I don't wanna hurt you, but-" This man was on an unstoppable mission to expose as much of your skin as possible. His hand grabbed at the lacey waistband of your panties and yanked it out away from your hip, stretching the material until it ripped with a loud snap. "I need to feel you. All of you." Billy pulled the remains of your undergarment swiftly off your legs and tossed them aside. Your heart pounded in your chest. He's been rough with you, yes, but this was a new level.
Whatever stuffed animals rested on your bed found a new resting place on the floor, bounced off the mattress by your back being slammed down onto it. He didn't rush to climb up and cover you with his broad-shouldered shadow. Instead, he stood at the foot of your bed just taking in the sight of you. They both were. Where Billy saw the woman he loved, wet and riled up… the Mind Flayer saw delicate, supple flesh to add to his collection.
He moved in ways that were unfamiliar to you. Maybe even a little scary. The way his arms bent and extended when he finally climbed onto the bed. Like a spider on its web. A really fucking big one. His pants and boxers were left in a suspiciously neat pile beside your bed. Who is this man??
"I love you, Billy." You rested your palm on his cheek, cupping his face. He closed his eyes and nuzzled into it, for the first time whispering back the words you never rushed him into saying. "I love you too." Pushing himself into your slit as he does.
His eyes were still glossy, making the blue in them twinkle like stars in the sky. For the first few pumps of his hips he eased his way in and out of you at a slow pace. Rolling his hips like those beach waves he spoke about. It had your pussy drooling every time he bottomed out. The adjustment to his girth made you wince and shut your eyes, only to feel his hand grasp your chin.
"Keep your eyes on me."
So you did just that. Giving him your unfiltered emotion, and he swallowed it up. Keeping eye contact as he picked up the pace. Billy didn't want to miss a second, or forget a single detail of what might be his last night with you. As himself, at least. Or perhaps…even the last time you were yourself.
No. No no.. That is not an option.
Your head was swimming, all warmth and pleasure wrapping you up in ways only he could fulfill. Your nails dragged a repeated trail from his shoulder down his back, using him to keep you anchored and sane. He would fuck you crazy. Thrusting into you with increased force that shook the whole bed frame. "Billy, oh my GOD!" You whined, twisted up inside, and hungry for that release. "Please, I need it. I'm sooo close."
"Not yet, Y/N." He only broke eye contact momentarily, to dive his lips into a bruising kiss. Teeth taking your bottom lip between them and biting down until you moaned. He released it, smoothing over the skin with his tongue and looked at you again. "I want you to remember this, baby. Promise me."
It was hard to comprehend what he meant in your fucked out little mind, but you kept feeling something. Warning bells in the back of your mind. "What's all this about?"
Billy groaned, ignoring your question and pulling out of you. You made a small noise of complaint and hoped you didn't scare him off with that question. He stood, walking to the foot of the bed and straight up dragged you by your ankles until your legs were hanging off the edge of the bed, hips and ass just barely on the mattress. His forearms hooked under your knees and lifted your legs till they rested on his shoulders.
Oh okay. So he's trying to kill you. That's great. The two of you have only fucked in this position one time before, and your walls were left in shambles. Billy leaned forward, planting his hands just above your head and folding you like a blanket. Ringlets of blonde tickling your nose. A little giggle came out of you, and you saw the ghost of a smile come and go from his lips.
That would be the last time you ever saw him smile at you.
His hard cock pressed into you again, pushing its way through you like a bullet. The position angled him head on to that one spot that drove you insane. Evident from the way you cried out his name when he reached it. His own moans mixed in, deep and rasped while he pounded your fleshy mound ruthlessly. The beast within him made a stir, not at all pleased with the heat and friction. Billy's time was running out.
"Remember me, Y/N. Tell me who you belong to. Who this pussy belongs to." His voice stood somewhere between a command and a plea, demanding and desperate all at the same time. "God Y/N, say it before I fucking explode!"
Billy's hips went into hyperdrive as if he could push the answers out of you with sheer force. "You, Billy! I belong to you!" It's always been you. Wet droplets landed on your cheeks from above you. Those gorgeous eyes, spilling over as he mumbled a string of words you couldn't fully catch. Something along the lines of 'I'm so sorry' and 'I love you' repeated through a soft sob. It pulled at your heartstrings, heightening the overwhelming emotion building in your core. Soon your eyes were tearing too, sobbing in unison as you came undone. Your velvet walls clenched around him, pulling his own release forward. He didn't stop. His lips captured every sob and whimper, fucking his cum into you until he went soft. By now your body was shaking, fully in tears.
The two of you stayed there, forehead to forehead, crying silently. It all felt so final. Like he wanted to leave his mark one last time. Although you loved the passion of it all - I mean, he finally told you he loved you - you didn't like that it felt like an ending.
"Are you breaking up with me…?" The words came out so soft, you kind of hoped he wouldn't hear them. You hoped it wasn't true.
He wiped your tears, and some of his own, away from your cheeks. His other hand felt around for something out of the line of your sight. Probably something in his pants pocket. You didn't pay it much mind.
"No, sweetheart, no."
Who…the fuck…was that? The voice came out of your boyfriend's mouth, and it even sounded like him to an extent. But it was deeper than usual. Menacing with a sickly sweet cover-up.
The hand that wiped your tears returned to the mattress, supporting his weight and caging you in. He pushed his body up enough for you to see his eyes again, still bloodshot. "I'll never have to leave you again, once you join us."
There was an odd shifting sound that you couldn't quite place coming from the side of your bed. His free hand raised up, holding a silver necklace he bought you for your birthday last year. It was your most prized piece of jewelry simply because it came from him. A heart with a 'B' in the center of it, because of course he had to brand you with his initials. Show the world that you were his girl, and you wore it proudly. When you weren't wearing it you kept it in a jewelry box under your bed, so your thieving father couldn't pawn it for gambling money.
Billy brought his knees up onto the bed, straddling your torso. You wanted to get away, maybe even scream but you were so frozen with fear and confusion. He held the necklace in his hands, fiddling with the clasp until it opened. The necklace sparkled, shiny and polished, and perfect for what he had in mind.
There was a moment of peace. A seemingly tender touch as Billy bent forward to nuzzle your cheek with his own, just barely pressing his lips to your ear. Peace that was shattered when he spoke those final words.
"Don't be afraid. It'll be over soon…"
He spread the necklace out to its full width and brought it down across your throat, pressing his fists into the bed beneath you. The silver chain bit into your throat, cutting off your air supply. No amount of kicking your legs in desperation, or trying to claw at him seemed to do anything. He was unphased. Focused on one thing only.
The room blurred, spinning as you strained and choked out his name. You called for him, hoping to get through to the man who once occupied the body above you. He was already tucked away. A prisoner forced to watch you turn blue in the face until you had no power left in you to struggle. He pulled back then, not aiming to kill you. Only suffocate you just enough for you to black out.
With the last bit of motivation you could gather, you reached for his face. Your hazy vision focuses just enough for you to see a single fresh tear fall from his eye. You never got to wipe it away. The corners of your vision blackened and tunneled in. Shutting you out into your subconscious, where you could be with him…always.
☾ A/N: Well, I'm gonna ball up and cry now 😭. Honestly, writing this made me so emotional, I'm probably gonna write a part 2 where they get saved somehow. If anyone wants it. Comments and requests are always welcome and appreciated ♡

True Love Lost..

Summay: Frigga tells Loki what he's done.....
Part four-
"Come sit Loki." Frigga said righting the furniture when they heard a knock at the door. "I'll answer it." She said, worried it may be Elora. Opening it seeing Heidi standing there "good evening my queen." She said with a deep curtsie, "I was wondering if Prince Loki was in?" She asked as Loki came up behind Frigga. "Evening your highness, I was entrusted to give this to you and only you, from lady y/n." She said holding out the letter to him. "My apologies it took so long, I had trouble finding you." She said "that's quite alright, thank you Heidi." He said taking the envelope. "Your majesties." She curtsied again before leaving.
He sat the envelope on the desk as he followed Frigga back to the sitting room "what did you need to discuss mother?" He asked sitting down rubbing his temples. She sat on the chaise across from him "son, what do you remember as of late?" She asked "I remember sending y/n back to Midgard and coming to speak to you yesterday of our situation." He said sitting back. "Son, that was three weeks ago." She said as Loki's eyes widened. "That can't be, we just..." he trailed off furrowing his eyebrows.
"Do you remember when the delegation from Alfhiem arrived, the princess Elora?" She asked as he nodded. "Yes, I met with her upon her arrival today, she...she asked me to court her and I told her I was otherwise engaged." He said "i went to speak with Thor about the arrangements and when I left she found me again demanding to speak with me. She told me she loved me and wanted to make me happy, I told her I loved another and was already happy." He said sighing "and I came back here to prepare for bed when you arrived." He said looking at her.
"Well, I have alot to fill you in on." Frigga said. "How..how do I not remember the last three weeks?" He asked rubbing his temples. "Elora cast a love spell on you. one where the victim is bound to the caster, and once the spell is broken their time together is forgotten." She said watching him. "So, wait...did i...I mean did we..." he stuttered panicking "I am afraid I was told Elora had left your chambers early in the mornings, looking a bit..... disheveled." She sighed looking down as Loki placed his face in his hands.
"She'll never forgive me, she won't want to be with me when she finds out." He said wiping his face "she is aware of what happend son, she knows it was not your doing." Frigga told him getting up sitting next to him. "Is she here? I need to speak with her, explain things to her." He said starting to get up when frigga grabbed his hand pulling him back down. "Son, there is no easy way to tell you this." She said as he watched her "h..has she decided to break our engagement?" He asked wide eyed. "No, no she loves you, more then I think you even know." She said squeezing his hand.
"What is it mother? Tell me!" He said sternly "Loki, she is gone." She said quietly "well I'll go get her, did she return to Midgard?" He asked "no son, she's....she's gone on to Valhall." She said watching him. He sat there silently staring at her "the only way to break the spell was your true love had to die....by your hand." She explained. "You mean I...I...?" He stuttered quietly as she nodded "she knew it was the only way to free you from Elora, she knew she had to sacrifice herself to save you, and she did." Frigga told him. "I met with her before...and gave her an elixir that has been known to restart the heart after death, but where she is mortal I cannot guarantee its success." She said
"Has she...." he trailed off "no, as of now she is still not awoken. I'm having her monitored for any change but it's taking longer then usual." She said. He sat staring at the floor, numbness washing over him as frigga kept talking "Loki, it was not your fault, she had ahold of your mind." She tried explaining to no avail "I am on my way now to find Elora and have her arrested, do you want me to send Thor to wait with you?" She asked "no, no I would prefer to be alone." He said looking down "I will return to check on you as soon as she is apprehended." She said as he nodded. Loki sat on the chaise, trying to process everything frigga had told him when he remembered the envelope on his desk. He walked over picking it up feeling something in it. He sat down opening it when a ring fell out....your ring. He picked it up as he pulled the letter out.
My Dearest Loki,
I'm not sure why im writing this to you, seeing as you have found love in someone else, but there are a few things I wanted you to know. I want you to know I don't blame you or resent you. She is lovely and I'm...well me, an average mortal, we're a dime a dozen really so it makes sense. I hope with all my heart she makes you happy, you deserve every bit of it. And I want you to know I will always cherish the time I had with you. I know a year isn't alot in your lifetime, a blink of an eye really, but I wanted you to know how very special it was to me. You showed me things I never thought possible and loved me as no one else has, or ever will. I have never been happier in my entire life then I was with you. I love you fully and completely, with my entire being. I will never forget you Loki, I will love you until my last breath. Maybe we'll meet again in the next life. Until then please take care, and don't be too hard on yourself, your an amazing, wonderful man and please don't ever forget it.
Love Always and Forever, Y/n
Loki sat staring at the words on paper. You thought he didn't love you, thought that you had been replaced. The papers slipped between his fingers landing on the floor, every emotion hitting him at once he opened the drawer to his desk gently placing your ring inside as he stood. The anger inside of him grew as he tilted his head, his body enveloped in his battle armor as he quickly strode to the door, flinging it open as he strode down the hall.
He quickly made his way to the throne room seeing it empty as he strode in coming to stand in the middle of the room. "ELORA! I KNOW YOU'RE HERE! SHOW YOURSELF!" He yelled when he heard a laugh from behind the throne. Turning to see Elora walk out from behind it. "Well well, if it isn't the runt." She sneered steeping forward "take care how you speak to me, you will regret it." He gritted watching her "Oh? What will you do? Send your little mortal after me? Oh wait.....you can't." She smirked crossing her arms.
"I could have made you king, you could have had everything you ever wanted, you still can. Join me, and I'll make all your fantasies a reality." She smiled holding out her hand. "I would rather be impaled by a bildesnipe then be with you." He sneered conjuring his daggers. "Hm..so how does it feel to have killed the woman you love? The only one who could ever love someone as pathetic as you. The second son, the prince who will never be king?" She mocked walking towards him. "How does it feel to know you will always be alone?" She whispered coming to stand in front of him. "I think your death will help significantly." He gritted slashing a dagger at her as she threw herself back.
Conjuring her own set of daggers she launched at Loki, swiping at his chest as he barely dodged it. He felt his siedr pulse through him, shooting a blast at her sending her across the room. "You will pay for what you've done." He growled walking towards her "Oh yeah, we'll see about that." She said standing running towards him, just as she was about to strike she froze in place. "What, whats happening!?" She yelled trying to move "gaurds, please take princess Elora to the dungeons where she will await judgment." Frigga said walking into the room.
The gaurds clamped the heavy metal cuffs on her wrists as Frigga released her hold on her "You'll pay for this witch, mark my words!" She yelled to Frigga as she was drug away. "Are you ok Loki?" She asked seeing him slump down on the steps to the throne. She walked over sitting next him "i...I wanted to kill her." He whispered as frigga rubbed his back "I know Loki, but that won't fix anything." She said wrapping an arm around his shoulder pulling him to her, placing his head on her shoulder. "She..she thought I replaced her, that i...didn't love her." He whispered while she rubbed his arm. "Loki. She knew you loved her, she knew everything." Frigga said trying to console him.
"I love her mother, I've never loved anyone as much as I do her, and she's....she may never come back to me." He said shakely. "What have I done?" He sobbed as the damn finally broke, tears streaming down his cheeks. "You didn't do anything Loki, it was her." She repeated. His daggers clanged to the floor as he wrapped his arms around her, burying his face in her shoulder "what am going to do? I need her, she's everything to me." He sobbed "we must remain strong for her, I have not yet given up hope she may awaken." Frigga said rubbing his back. "W..what if she doesn't?" Loki asked shakely "let's pray to the Norns she does." She whispered, holding him.
She prayed with everything in her that you would wake, but fate has its own plans......
