spoilers ahead for the first game

Mizuki is such an important character and so incredibly well written (I haven’t seen much of AINI but I’m maybe half way) and man she is so strong and resilient. In the first game she can see every single person that is important to her die, that’s so crazy to me. She was literally 12 and Date had to rely on her to fight like evil government ppl when getting Iris back... isn’t that crazy. Idk why but she kinda encourages me, seeing how young she is and how strong she can be through all the pain she endured is empowering.

Mizuki had to go through a childhood of her parents bickering all the time. Neither Shoko or Renju had what it takes to be parents as you can tell in the flashback at Marble.

Then she was given over to Date who can’t even provide for Mizuki and he wasn’t able to give her what she needs to grow. Growing up is important and Mizuki didn’t get that and yet she’s still so strong. When rewatching Ai1 it’s crazy to me when hearing about Shoko and how she’d be so cruel to her own daughter. It’s likely it was Saito in her body at the time but man. Mizuki deserves so much GBGHFBFBFN.

To be fair I do think Date is very important to Mizuki, as you can tell in her route in Ai1 she chooses Date in her somnium. I do think Date isn’t exactly the best role model or support for Mizuki since they don’t flat out tell each other they love each other and that’s what Mizuki needs. Mizuki does find Date to be important to her, which is obvious since she lacks the support systems in her life which I’m glad she finds comfort in Date. I think their relationship is more of a comfort in knowing someone is there for you. I wish Date would’ve supported her more but ofc he was dealing with god knows what with Hitomi BANSNFNV I’m just glad Mizuki found someone important to her

I haven’t seen much of Mizuki in AINI since the beginning part is mostly Ryuki but man. She still wants to investigate on the case while she’s just 18 years old. GROWLS SHE MEANS SO MUCH TO ME. I don’t trust people who don’t like Mizuki, she’s so precious.

ok this thought is like Actual big endgame spoilers so under a cut but man i am having some Thoughts today

Got thinking about how Uru chose to drag Ryuki further into things and use him as a puppet and how Tokiko kinda seemed to think he’d be receptive to Naix’s ideals. Like under different circumstances its not Impossible to think that he’d end up susceptible to a cult. considering everything with the Frayer too, im just. thinks about that a Lot. Tokiko even like... intentionally set things up so that Ryuki would find the cathedral and then get potentially infected with TC-PERGE. I really have to wonder if she thought that would be enough to get him to “tear at the seams” himself, or get the Frayer (aka us) to do it through him...

It’s great tho bc by taking Tama hostage, Uru guaranteed that Ryuki would Never actually even Slightly consider Naix and their ideals. like he’s got very good obvious reason to hate them forever. Ryuki and Tama’s loyalty to each other is so extremely good, they’re family they would betray the world for each other its top quality content. dangerously loyal characters are So fun.
