'Landon?' The brunette called out when she wasn't met with him as she came home. 'Baby?' She tried again, but still nothing and a frown starts to set it. He should be home, his things scattering along the couch so, where was he? First place she checks ends up being the right one, their bedroom, but she didn't expect to see Landon having a full blown panic attack. 'Hey hey hey-' She breathed, instantly at his side, hands hovering a moment before she touches him. 'Honey, look at me, it's Violet,' Makes herself better known as she guides his face to up to look at her. 'Deep breath, I'm here.' Takes a deep intake of breath through her own knows in an attempt to make him copy her, settle him enough to get him talking.

'I'm just tired,' Violet tried to brush it off, still her chipper self, despite the clear concern in Landon's tone. 'Been staying up late to get all those edits done from that wedding. Deadline coming up and all.' No, she was more than just tired. She didn't really look all that great either. Not as hungry lately, achy, exhausted. To be honest Violet just thought she was coming down with the flu or something of the like. Wasn't completely unreasonable to think that. She was around people constantly when taking photos. staying the night

It wasn't unlike Violet to fall asleep at her laptop. Eyes would grow heavy and tired from staring at that screen. Doing photo edits, touch ups. Late nights making sure she hit deadlines. That night had been no different. Other than Landon being there this time. Heaven knows how long it took him to realize she's nodded off, but the brunette only stirred when she felt herself, well floating. He'd picked her up, was carrying her and she didn't complain about it. In fact she may have just, snuggled a little more against him without knowing it. Next thing she knew she was in bed, sheets being draped over her and even if she was tired she knew that meant he was going to leave and her hand went out to stop him. Gently wrapping around his wrist, 'Stay,' she mumbled sleepily, not really thinking about it, but knowing she didn't want him to leave. Maybe it was because she could hear thunder looming in the distance, and she hated storms. Or maybe it was because she knew she was falling for him and wanted to pretend he might be falling for her too.

‘Now you’re just laying it on a little thick.’ The brunette teased him. 'I don’t think ghosts and romance really go together but I’ll run with it for your sake.’ Violet would do just about anything for his sake. He indulged her many times, it was only fair to return the favor. Marriage was a balance after all. Happy spouse, happy life. Even if it didn’t rhyme. She waved off his offer to help. 'Short notice is better sometimes. Especially with me. I do better under pressure. You know that.’ Made her more focused. Perhaps that’s why weddings were her thing. The pressure to make those shots look as good as they possibly could gave her a little bit of a rush.

'Skating? Oh god Landon you know I’m like a newborn deer on the ice.’ Whining a little but she also wouldn’t say no. Any excuse to get him to hold on to her is a win in her book even if they’re married. Becoming a couple around this time of year had been the best thing in her eyes. I love the way your name is the color of my current days. Sunny might have been generic but violet in the spring? Violet is far more vibrant than I've ever been. It's a cliche I know. But I'm putting my writing skills to work here. Considering I write for my job. That's all news and stories to make the front page. What I really want to do is pen my own book. Create a world only fit for two people who can shine, become one and share their love. That is a big way I feel about you. That I can share anything. I can shout it from the rooftops. Or from my apartment window. Either way someone is gonna call the cops on me.

Anyway, it's me rambling. Much as I do in real life, yeah? With you it's easy to fumble of over my words. When we first met I thought, 'wow, she's awesome' among other things. Like how pretty you were. How creative you are. How I just wanted to be the one you wanted.

Violet has put together a lovely little scrapbook filled with memories of their relationship for Landon for his birthday. It has everything from pressed flowers, to polaroid's and photo's she's taken of him and them together. Ticket stubs from movies and concerts. Hotel keys and little notes they've left each other. It's a clear show of dedication and love on her end, how much she's kept, how long it must have taken to put together, how much everything means to her. How much he means to her. 'I hope you like it,' She says a bit sheepishly as she watches him flip through the pages.

'Please be home, please be home.' Violet mumbled under her breath as she climbed the stairs to Landon's apartment. She could have just texted and said she was on her way but-- they hadn't spoken in over a week because of the whole event fiasco with his ex. The fight that ensued after it, that she needed time to collect her thoughts and feelings. So the brunette thought showing up in person would mean more than a quick text. Actions spoke louder. But there is a hesitation, hand hovered over his door instead of knocking right away. She's not sure why, that text alone said it all. He missed her, and she missed him she'd just needed some space, lost track of the days cause she'd gotten busy but-- she'd not once forgotten about him. She hated being away from him, hated fighting with him and all of this was so stupid. They were better than this. Finally she did let her knuckles rap on his door, despite the key dangle from her key ring, waiting patiently and expectantly for him to hopefully come to the door. And when he did, when she heard the lock turn and he was stood before her, all Violet could do was close that small amount of space in less than a step, throwing her arms around his neck and burying her face against.
