I just wanna say I'm so happy I found gregg araki movies in high school. I just feel like I would have felt so much more alone if I didn't have them in my life and I don't think I'd have the music taste I do now if it weren't for him. I got introduced to slowdive AND tkk thru his movies and now i'm seeing them both live in the span of a month!
#not even mentioning the dozens of bands he has in his soundtracks that i've fallen in love with#and like. mysterious skin was one of the few movies ive ever seen that legitimately triggered me#because it felt too real. and relatable in some ways (and not in others)#and i really appreciate that. i dont think ive felt similarly about a movie since#would love to rewatch it and see if it holds up in my eyes but for that moment in life it was exactly what i needed
