i’m not gonna keep going on about this i swear but i’m never NEVER going to stop being mad about how much fun the writing of eddie in the first film clearly was because it totally came across that way where they really created a sweeter, funnier eddie and then throwing it all away when they rushed chapter two with extremely lazy writing and cheapened all of the characters by flattening them all out to their easiest trait. ill never forgive them

#im not even going into the complete erasion of his sexuality because there’s no point in me even touching that because #the director said himself that he just took that part of eddie and put it onto richie (stupid anyway since richie is an interesting enough-#character on his own with his OWN STUFF GOING ON)#and i know turning a 1000+ book into a movie was going toforce them to remove things like OBVIOUSLY #but at least attempts were made with eddie in the first film then in the second it all turned to shit only for his final #-scenes to be completely ruined #like yeah.......he sacrificed himself for his friends but only after being ONLY cowardly the whole few scenes beforehand that just made-#his final act of bravery look like nothing really in comparison #eddie is a brave character like he always has been even if he has that little bit of doubt #i say all this and yet i will still rewatch chapter two #im just annoyed!#they flattened his character into some sheldon cooper ass like....go away #ok it’s late tell me to turn my phone off #* ooc
