today was a long day my guys. i saw J & his girlfriend. tbh when i emailed him i only half expected him to take me up on my offer, i never expect much. but he agreed & brought his girl??? dude why are you meeting up with me, go do fun stuff with her. like,, theres better things to be doing??? Idk why he thought that would be fun, he honestly could've said no

i didnt expect them to stay so long either. we met at 2:30 and didnt leave til after 5. J is really good at talking a lot tho lol. they talked about their hometown back in Fin and why J chose to come to IU (he thinks the midwest is exotic. "None of my friends have ever been here!" his gf: "and they never will". she seemed unimpressed with bloomington, which is fair). apparently he made her leave the apt when he was doing his skype interview with Elisa & PK, which like. mood

she doesnt like turtles which baffles me. J said he came here partially for the library and we passed it, so i asked if he had shown it to her; he has but only for a minute. he's so excited for the library and she made fun of him for it, rip

Tbh, Poland sounds like the perfect country for me. I’m a right-wing conservative myself, and I’m sick of leftist shit in where I live (I’m an emigrant from the Balkans to Western Europe). However, I’m scared that Poland will become like Germany, Sweden, the Netherlands etc in just 10 years, since younger generations are mostly liberals...

Just let me tell you that Poland isn't a promised land regardless of your political views. Idk how's situation in the Balkans but Poland has high taxes, bad economy, bad healthcare and low quality of life. Just be aware of this if you want to move there. Also you have to speak the language as majority ppl in Poland is monolingual.

As for your political scare - I don't have much of the opinion on this topic. Definitely current government is pushing ppl into more liberal views with everything that they're doing. I'm not a fortune teller so I can't tell you what's going to happen in next 10 years.

I know that it wasn't a place for me. I'd say that there are six stages of being an emigrant. First you're happy with the new country and everything is new, awesome and exciting. The next stage is when you realise downsides of your new homeland. Third step is when you miss where you are from and start to glorify it regardless of the downsides that draw you away from that place. Fourth step is kind of assimilation in your new country, even though you do not fully belong there. Fifth step is when you get back to where you were born and realise that you don't fit there anymore because you've adapted too many foreign habits. The last sixth step is when you are finally at peace with yourself - usually in your new homeland.

I moved A LOT. Even within London. Especially within London. I adapted so many habits, quirks and traditions that when I came back to Poland it was disappointing so I left the Old Continent entirely.

Will I move again? Yes! But that's mostly my nature - I am a nomad and that's ok.

Don't think too much about future. If Poland disappoints you you can always move back to Balkans. Just don't make decisions based on what's in media when it comes to Poland.

Do your own research and then make a decision.

HI thank you so much ;-; sooooo i’ve been thinking about this question the past couple of times i went in game, trying to figure out how to describe how i take pictures. for one thing i live in tab mode lmao. meaning you press the tab button on your keyboard to go into camera mode and get all these sexy angles and super zoom and stufffff. i almost always zoom in super far idk why. so there’s one tip. i honestly just play around with going up and down with the q and e keys (i think?) until i find angles i like. i take a lottttt of pictures with so many different angles just so i have a lot to choose from. basically i try to focus on different things in each picture in order to get a mix of the most diverse and dynamic shots possible. you just need to experiment and get creative. i know that’s the most vague advice ever but really just try a new angle that you’ve never considered before and i bet you’ll get cool results. an interesting setting is also the biggest factor, because certain objects and their placements will give you interesting results. 

i honestly want to print out your reaction pic to that one post and just hang it on my wall, put it in my heart locket necklace, stamp it on people's faces, start an email thread with it. i love it.

how do you get your sims' facial expressions to line up with your scenes? I feel like my sims' faces are never right :(

tbh i just use a lot of the same neutral poses...my go-to’s are @helgatisha‘s poses lol. they’re the easiest to work with when i do just plain talking scenes, and often i tweak my sims’ eyebrows and mouths with the liquify tool if i want them to look a bit more concerned, sad, mad, happy, etc., it works like a charm!! i also tend to play around with angles, you’d be surprised how much a different angle can enhance a scene.
