Since rainbow high is getting extremely worrisome w the new line I’ve coped by making my own wave 6 (drumroll please):
Scarlet, Pumpkin, Mustard, Moss, Cornflower, Royal Purple!
Tbh I was just listing off colors I wished we had gotten in a gc and then realized a) they made a rainbow and b) they were all autumnal themed so I made an inadvertent autumnal wave! All with two outfits bc I’m allowed to dream. I want to make them eventually too bc hello my New Year’s resolution is to make more customs than last year.
Scarlett Connell (scarlet red/orange): a multimedia artist with a passion for eco-friendly graffiti, Scarlett Connell hails from the Pacific Northwest. Growing up on the Oregon coast, Scarlett fell in love with thrifting materials from old logging camps and cargo railroads. Her main outfit is a scarlet beanie, a scarlet plaid scarf, a white tank top, a pair of patchwork scarlet overalls, and graffitied scarlet doc martens. Her second outfit is a scarlet oversized flannel, faded rainbow dream t shirt, torn/cuffed scarlet jeans, and short scarlet rain boots. She keeps her makeup subtle save for a bold detail (scarlet tinged lip, blush, natural brows, graphic scarlet eyeliner) and her scarlet hair straight and chin length. Y’all…she’s the red/orange butch doll we’ve all been waiting for.
Paloma Gordon (pumpkin orange): a sweet-as-can-be baking and pastry major from Salem, Massachusetts. Growing up in such an autumnal region made Paloma fall in love with both the flavors and fashions of the season. Her primary outfit is a pair of cropped ankle pumpkin pants, pumpkin crocs, a white chef coat w pumpkin buttons, and a pumpkin orange neckerchief. Her second outfit is a pair of pumpkin plaid woolen pants, a white cable knit sweater w pumpkin detailing, and pumpkin suede booties. Her makeup is soft and warm yet very, very precise: much like her approach in the kitchen, and she keeps her hair in long curly pumpkin orange ringlets, tied back in a high ponytail. I always wished rh would do a baking major since culinary arts are some of the most impressive art forms in the world (we almost got there w poppy).
Amelie “Frenchie” du Mous (mustard yellow): always on point, Frenchie hones all of her high fashion skills from growing up in Paris into a neatly tailored fashion focus. Her primary outfit is a plaid mustard pinafore over a lace trimmed white blouse with bell sleeves, mustard yellow knee high socks, brown heeled oxfords with mustard laces, and a mustard beret trimmed in white lace. Her second outfit is a pair of knee length mustard plaid shorts w matching suspenders, platform mustard leather loafers, mustard mid calf socks, and a white puffed short sleeved blouse with a mustard plaid bow tie. Her hair is straight and long in two tails. We never got a dark academia girl so here she is to fall in love w scarlet
Ivy Pines (moss green): emerging from the woods for the first time in her life, Ivy is ready to bring her foraging gift to Rainbow High! Her art has always been from the forest around her and her family in Northern California, whether she’s crafting her own dyes or whittling intricate jewelry. Her first outfit is an ombré dip-dyed lace maxi dress (white into moss green) with thin straps, an oversized moss green cardigan, knit to texturally simulate moss (look up moss stitch w this specific rough spin yarn istg it looks just like moss), moss sandals, moss socks, and wooden jewelry with moss jewel accents. Her second outfit is moss green crochet pants, moss flats, and a white peasant top w moss embroidery. Her makeup is natural with mossy green eyeshadow, and her hair is loose beachy waves. She’d come w alt heeled feet but both her shoes would be flat :0. She’s the mori girl we deserved but never actually got.
Corinne St. Germaine (cornflower blue): traveling all the way from Middle-of-Nowhere, Nebraska, Rainbow High is Corinne’s first interaction outside of her hometown’s sixty people. She’s not totally ignorant of the world though—she’s actually huge on the internet! Her fashion style has been dubbed Lolita Americana: gold rush pioneer outfits through a cute girly lens. Her first outfit is a cornflower blue pioneer dress with a knee length hem, high neck collar, long slightly puffed sleeves, and white apron, as well as lace knee high cornflower stockings, cornflower leather ankle boots, and a cornflower bonnet trimmed in white lace. Her second outfit is a cornflower wool coat, long cornflower wool skirt, and knee high cornflower riding boots. Her hair would have a soft wave and probably be in a half up style, and her makeup would be soft. In a perfect world she’s also got a parasol >:3
Leanna Royale (royal purple): Known for clothing real life royals and only the most fashionable celebrities, the prestigious House Royale has unveiled its latest stride into the fashion world: a daughter named Leanna. Raised from birth on fine art and livery, Leanna is a princess in all but political power. Her first outfit is a polished royal purple velvet pantsuit with a royal satin shirt and purple velvet heeled pumps. Her second outfit is a silk bejeweled minidress, royal purple bejeweled strap heels, and a royal purple fur stole. Her makeup is elegant and refined, complete with a royal purple lip. Her hair is long royal purple locs in an elegant updo, and yes: she has a tiara. She’s every bit of posh violet wishes she could be (/hj)
I’m gonna try and make these! Bases would probably be whatever I can find that’s cheap, though a good visualization I’m going on rn is based on the color create dolls (scarlet and mustard for green eyes, pumpkin and royal for purple eyes, cornflower and moss for blue eyes). Maybe I won’t go so far to do two outfits but I’ll try and at least make one for each :)

i just wanted to share with you guys a project i’m gonna be working on.
so back in like— january of 2021 i got to work crocheting a cloak for my Technoblade cosplay. it was my first big crochet project, and it took me five months to finish. i finished it the day of the convention i was cosplaying Techno at.
it was— not the best craftsmanship. like i said, it was my first big crochet project, and i really didn’t know what i was doing.
so i decided that, as a tribute, i’m going to be remaking it. here’s all of my materials.
this is the yarn i’m using for the main body! i completely bought out my craft store’s stocks of it.
I’m using this yarn for the trim. i think i’m gonna do a couple rows of the velvet, and then use the fluffy blanket yarn to make the “fur” trim that the cloak has.
here’s what i’m using for the fastenings. that was one of the biggest issues with my original cloak, so i bought a bunch of cool lookin’ stuff this time around. i don’t know what exactly I’m gonna do yet, but hopefully it works out! originally i was just going to use more of the yarn to connect the fastenings, but i saw the red leather string and just had to have it. it’s also gonna look really nice with the charms i think.
the charms are my favorite part. besides the ribbon charm, which is for cancer awareness, each charm represents a person in Techno’s life/that person’s character on the DreamSMP.
i’m using the green and purple winged charms for phil and kristin. the bee and crown are for tubbo and ranboo. the spool of thread from the crafting pack of charms is for tommy, both because i love the sewing c!tommy headcanon and because tommy just sorta ties things together. i dunno, that made more sense in my head. the rainbow heart is for niki, my sibling insisted on that one. the music note is for wilbur, of course. i wanna collect more charms, for more people’s characters and for more people in Technoblade’s life. i feel like that’s something c!Technoblade would have done.
anyways, that’s it for my rambling. i’ll keep you guys updated on my progress, i can’t wait to share my final product.
donate to https://www.curesarcoma.org/technoblade-tribute/ if you can.

Headcannon that Punk!Patton along with Punk!Roman can crochet?
Hey, Misty, you are such a great, glittering, glorious gem! I promise I didn’t forget about this, it just devolved so quickly from some ideas thrown together to like a half-story? Anyways, thanks for this, hope everyone enjoys it. (Also, disclaimer, I know nothing about crochet, so I had to do a little research. Hope I did okay.)
P.P.S. these punk boys are from the magnificent @asofterfan‘s punk Sander Side AU
It was Sunday morning, which could only mean one thing for Patton and Roman; crafting and Disney movies. Once Patton had learned that Roman loved crafting as much as he did and Roman learned that Patton was a fabulous baker, Sunday mornings became a bit of a tradition for them.
A sleepy Roman would show up at Patton’s front door, grumbling about the absolute curse of mornings and swearing that next week there would be no way he would get out of bed for this. Patton would coax his friend inside with the enticing smell of coffee and waffles. With each bite of food, the steampunk would slowly come to life and by his third cup of “chocoffee” (Patton’s proprietary blend of coffee and hot chocolate), he was practically vibrating with creative juice, or probably just caffeine. The two would pick a Disney movie based on the kind of crafting energy they were feeling that day and dive into their work.
Patton tended to prefer more “traditional” types of crafting than his friend, sticking to knitting, crocheting, scrapbooking, or baking. He loved to make blankets, sweaters, beanies, and scarves, almost exclusively as gifts for others, of course, and he could be quite a machine cranking them out consistently and quickly. Roman’s creative scope was wide and extensive, including everything from jewelry making to calligraphy to oil painting to leather work. His work was anything but consistent, with only about one in every twelve projects making it all the way to completion; however, any project he did complete was sure to be exquisite and one-of-a-kind. Roman secretly admired how prolific Patton was with his creations, while Patton very loudly admired Roman’s raw talent and creative vision. The two boys loved to bask in one another’s aura and the house would practically burst with a bright, bubbly energy on Sunday mornings. Patton’s mother and brother had learned that it was much easier to pop in some ear plugs or throw an extra pillow over their heads than to try to quiet the tornado downstairs.
Once, Roman almost hadn’t shown up. It had been a particularly rough week for him. No one was practicing their harmonies for the finale of the musical. He had spectacularly failed a chemistry test that he had actually tried to study for. Logan had been missing from their history class for two days, meaning Roman had to provide all the snarky commentary himself, and it wasn’t nearly as amusing. A bottle of glitter glue exploded in his bag, he tripped in front of one of the adorable football players, his favorite boots got a hole in the sole. By the time Roman got home on Friday night, he wanted to curl up under his beloved extra-soft blanket and sleep for at least three days. It was then he remembered, while wrapped up in a fit of wanted to help out around the house more, he had thrown his blanket into the washer and ruined it. The moan he made could have woken the dead in the graveyard across town. Dot and Larry tried to coax him out of his room all Saturday with promises of brownies and board games, but his door stayed firmly shut. It wasn’t until early Sunday morning that they heard the gentle creak of the floorboards in the hall. They listened to the quiet padding of their son’s feet down the stairs and the squeak of the front door, before exchanging relieved looks and snuggling back under their covers.
It only took a moment for Patton to realize there was something wrong with his friend when he opened the door. The larger boy shuffled his feet at the doorstep, his hands shoved roughly in his jean pockets. His usual eclectic collection of jewelry was missing and his eyes raw and puffy. That day, Patton had made crepes and he made sure to load up Roman’s plate with plenty of powdered sugar and top his chocoffee with special rainbow mini-marshmallows. The two ate in relative silence, an extremely odd occurrence, and ended up sitting on Patton’s couch, staring blankly at the black screen of the television. It wasn’t until Patton quietly inquired what craft Roman wanted to work on that the boy finally broke. Fat tears began falling down his face as Roman detailed out his absolutely awful week, pausing between sobs to sip at the fourth mug of chocoffee Patton pushed into his hand. When he reached the end of his sad tale, the steampunk gestured dejectedly towards his empty rucksack and grumbled that he didn’t even have any ideas of what to make, he had no more creative spark left. It was then that Patton got an idea.
Turning on the most soothing movie he could think of (Winnie the Pooh, of course), Patton pushed a skein of yellow-gold yarn and a crochet hook into Roman’s hand. The other boy protested, insisting that he didn’t know what to make, but Patton shook his head and instead confessed he needed help with a project. He had make a blanket, but it needed trim and Patton didn’t have a single clue what kind to make. A small light flickered in Roman’s eyes as he rubbed his chin, finally suggesting an arc lace edge. The smaller boy smiled, maybe a bit mischievously, as he asked Roman if he would give him a tutorial. And soon they were off, snuggled together closely on the couch, happily chatting and adding stitch after stitch to a growing trail of delicate lace.
Roman woke up and blinked sleepily at the tv, which was now well into the Atlantis movie. He was surprised that he could still sleep after practically a gallon of hot chocolate and coffee, but was quite happy that he did. As the boy sat up and stretched lazily, he felt pounds lighter and so very warm. In fact, he felt downright toasty and that was when he noticed. A magnificent, handmade afghan, deep red and gold yarn weaved into a mesmerizing half-sun pattern, lay over him. A small tag in the corner read “For Roman” in a soft, loopy script. As Roman reached his hand out and traced the golden lace they had made that day hastily sewn around the edges, the pastel boy returned from the kitchen. He barely had a moment to set aside his mug of hot chocolate before the steampunk was upon him. From somewhere inside Roman’s arm, nearly crushed in the other boys embrace, Patton explained that the blanket was originally intended as a celebration gift for the end of the musical but it seemed like he needed it right then. When he felt the larger boy’s shoulder hitch with a sob, Patton wrapped his arms around Roman and didn’t let go for a long time.
That particular Sunday morning crafting session lasted well into the night and when Roman returned home with the afghan clutched lovingly to his chest, Dot smiled sweetly and kissed his forehead. Eventually, Roman would return the favor. And, although Patton would never admit it, he knew and was extremely excited, because any gift that Roman would make was sure to be absolutely astounding. And it was.
