#listen i get it#i also oppose the innumerable human rights violations the israeli government is guilty of#i have deeply complicated feelings about the state of israel#i get that the purchase of land from nobility rather than stakeholders is illegitimate#i get that france and england just carved up the ottoman empire like a roast without regard for existing peoples and cultures and conflicts#i get that most diaspora jewry have been locked into an imposed narrative of redemption and victimhood for centuries#and i get that israel has erroneously been cast as redemption from that victimhood#but i need folks to check themselves before they wreck themselves on an iceberg of antisemitism#i just ask that folks think carefully and act with compassion
