Lucy being grumpy without her coffee because the case was super early and she’s been busy all day so she hasn’t had it and the boys or Jane sent Kate a million texts to please bring Lucy her favorite coffee and not just office coffee and Kate comes and saves the day and Lucy just kisses her happily and hugs her while drinking her extra large coffee but then she’s hyper and crashes out later on.

if kate can swing by randomly for moral support and to help on a case she isn't even assigned to, then she can certainly make time to bring her gf some good coffee! (also that would just be super cute to see, esp if we got to see kate picking up her exhausted crashing gf at the end of the day) maybe seeing kate alone would have lucy perking up and being extra sappy like "seeing you gives me all the energy i need" (but she'd still take the coffee LMAO)

i could totally imagine a scenario too where the entire team has no coffee and the machine's broken or something and theyre all grumpy and when kate shows up with some they think theyre saved only for her to give one to lucy only and leave lmaooo
