my biggest rick and morty character flaw is not liking rickmurai jack
#its the worst evil morty episode for me unfortunately#i like some of the ideas it presents like the central finite curve and evil morty’s plan being to break out#i like that it really has nothing to do with c-137#but most of the time i feel like it’s just…trying too hard? to be epic?#and it still has some of that ‘ugh fine we’ll address this part of the lore’ meta vibe from the writers that plagued s4+5#and i don’t like the way they presented rick’s backstory because now it’s ambiguous how much morty’s actually knows about rick#and it feels like since these are his memories they can’t go back and add interesting contexts or twists#where rick seems like an unreliable narrator#idk just seems like a missed opportunity#also morty should’ve been way more pissed about. everything#it doesnt help that half the Big Shocking Reveals aren’t actually explored beyond the episode#but ig that’s not the episodes fault#i also don’t get the vibe that this was a fun episode to write#and rnm is at its best when it feels like the writers are having fun imo#this might just stem from how much i don’t like s5 in general to be honest#personal
