I was thinking about another EMD Alt Au where Raph and Leo are stuck with Draxum. In this scenario, Raph would want to take Leo and run away. Over time, he'd see Leo trying really hard to prove himself and be better and nearly destroy himself in the process, which really makes Raph wonder if what they're doing is worth losing his little brother over. Leo is much more hesitant to leave though which is why they're still with Drax.

But once they meet Donnie and Mikey, Raph sees a way out and he tries to take it.
