Not me watching being human for the 274th time and still being like 'actually, i think i had georges point all wrong, I think his story is about someone living with aids now and is queercoded (in season 2 at least) and mitchell, I had him wrong too, as it's much less about addiction and more the story of someone trying to leave a criminal and violent street life behind when it's all he's ever known and doesn't know how to do life any other way ...'

It means more for his character than just heartbreak #and do you see it with mitchell never really struggling with the blood (we know what this looks like. insert hal)#but much more with what it stands for - the lifestyle the people the violence the falling back on his base nature the freedom #and how it suddenly stands for completely different things when hal is the main vampire
