I really do need more bird protagonists, but making this one a honey badger seems obvious

for a year or so i've been kicking around the idea of a protagonist in a different universe from the usual stories, with magic (still contemplating whether it would be better to only give them access to magic, or to have it be commonplace). disaffected, full of contempt toward the rest of the world, hungry for power and a touch sadistic, they decide that they'll become this world's god by killing the current one and they succeed. the majority of the story would be about what happens after that. imagine an accidental baby from a one night stand between the homunculus in the flask and light yagami, but stupider than both of them. that's my vision--
