Y'all the point of pointing out that Tamlin does, textually, have "good" or even pretty understandable and somewhat sound reasons for how he acts is NOT to say he's a uwu innocent bby boy.
The point is that he has reasons for how he acts and his abuse is still not excusable.
Many people argue that Rhysand's abuse is excusable, or that it isn't even abuse at all, because he has "good reasons." But if Tamlin also has "good reasons", and his abuse still is not ok, then Rhysand, too, is not exonerated by having "good reasons" and he also needs to be called out for his abuse if this series is genuine in its desire to discuss abuse and it's not just being discussed for clout and clicks.
#people on ALL SIDES of the fandom need to hear this actually#rhysand stans AND tamlin stans#because im starting to see some ridiculous takes from BOTH SIDES#im seeing SOME PEOPLE go 'well if rhysand is justified so is tamlin'#NO#NO NO NO#the POINT is that NEITHER are justified in what they're doing and if sarah genuinely cared about abuse they'd BOTH be called out for it#and her refusal to do so is both hypocritical and inherently ruinous to the series' own themes#rhysand's abuse#tamlin's abuse#anti sjm#anti rhysand#acotar analysis#anti acomaf
