two war-torn battle hardened girls with expertise in technology and weaponry? i can totally see the appeal. i think it'd definitely be more slow burn though, since both of them are pretty reserved and don't share much abt themselves? but at the same time, they both understand the feeling of not being able to quite fit into normal every day society because of what theyve been through (and are still fighting against) so there could be like.. an unspoken connection there. very interesting!

for knuckles

they absolutely have found family vibes. sibling like or not, the last standing echidnas gotta stick together! they might even have an easier time getting along too considering your knuckles won't have to immediately deal with shade as a villain, but a reformed antihero.

for tails

hm. interesting. tails already is kinda shade's go-to person whenever she needs a tune up for her gear (if she can't immediately handle it herself) - but she's not used to him being all grown up! given the right circumstances i can see them working alongside each other as colleagues. it'll def be one-sided crushing for tails for a while if only because it would take time for her to adjust to the difference (and also notice him in general ghsjf) but i think there could be room to grow with enough time & development :]
