Quay, as a character, is someone whose origins I find trying to justify a lot, but, the more I think about it, the more important it is to me that he is just unexplained

A bizarre miracle, a random, chance occurrence.

An orca whale that did not understand the surface beached itself, and became a person. No reason in particular, no goal.

I need more mysteries in my headworlds, and stories. Justifying everything to a scientific T isn’t the best habit outside of projects made for that purpose

so Quay will remain “just some guy who used to be a sea creature”, cause thats fun, and weird.
