I would like to date. I would like to be in a relationship. I am not good at meeting new people and my chronic health issues mean i haven't been healthy enough to see my nieces yet this summer, so going on a date? Probably not going to be easy with my health to work around.

15 my deepest secret*. omfg i hated this webtoon. the twist was asinine and frankly ignorant. none of the characters were likeable by the end. hate quit this one with like 5 chapters left to go i just couldnt

14 my second husband. seemed promising at first! i was hooked for the first 40 chapters or so but then it just started getting weirdly paced, had big plot holes, and nothing ever felt like it was getting resolved. the ML had like 0 charisma as well. dropped.

13 to love your enemy. this one was REALLY fun until the cult arc hit and then it was the biggest wtf is happening. dropped it shortly after

12 i dont hate us*. i liked this one until the timeskip ending, where then everyone and everything just felt really off. the second female lead gets a special mention because i HATED her at first but by the end she was my favorite character <3

11 romance 101.* this was okay. the art style was really cute and i loved the FL. but there never seemed to be any chemistry with the main ship to me, and the plot became really focused on the app/programming club which bored the hell out of me. dropped this one around chap 100

10 shadow bride. nothing bad but nothing particularly noteworthy for me. fluff read.

9 high spirits neoma. im not very far into this webtoon yet, or it'd be higher up the list im sure. im around ch 5 and finding it really charming and i love the color palette for it

8 dreaming freedom/freedom in dreams. although the art style isnt my cup of tea, i really enjoyed this fucked up high school revenge/romance webtoon but where im currently at (ch. 111ish) it's starting to feel a little circular. hoping it goes back to what it does best which is Unsettling Shit

7 my reason to die*. man this would've been in my top 3 but the ending arc is just. really boring??? like i dont want to watch them search for a pot farm for 10 chapters. i havent finished this one yet, but ive been putsing getting back into it ever since post reveal. the drama is very pretty though and the reveal chapters hit me like a truck in a good way

6 operation true love. i borderline hated this webtoon when i first started, but the reviews had me wanting to stick it out and im so glad i did!! around ep 10ish it really finds its footing and just keeps going for it! very kdrama in flavor and endearing FL.

5 unholy blood*. a fun, dark, and nostalgic webtoon about vampires and vampire hunting that brought me back to my tween years in the best way. the character designs are really awesome. it's a little lower on the list because the ending felt a bit rushed, but it's a really solid horror/action comic with a lil romance

4 surviving romance*. this one's complete but i got about 10 chapters left. it's a really fun horror comic (NOT romance, dont be fooled by the title) that reminds me of extraordinary you but if the plot was focused on the metaphysical horror of it a little more. fun characters and relationships. a little lower just because the second "return" arc feels tedious/unneeded so far. we'll see. TEAM RINA.

3 maybe meant to be/fate found by chance. ive found that i tend to gravitate toward darker webtoons, so this is my c-c-combo breaker! cute, funny, quirky, and really endearing. standard contract marriage plot but between two delightful weirdos

2 purple hyacinth. this series is everything. the art is gorgeous, it has its own OST built into the reading. the characters are nuanced and complicated and omg it's a ride and a half so far.

1 olgami/trapped*. INCREDIBLE characters and such an intense look at enemies-to-lovers. the drama starts as a psycho-thriller about gravedigging for a vampire and ends up about two leads who have never learned how to love willing to try it with one another in their fucked-up way. dysfunctional. hot. SO GOOD. the art evolution for this series was great as well

been so long !

i havent posted on tumblr for a bit i hope yall are doing well !! i got into a relationship, got out of it now im moving :) closer to the lake

im v excited i just realized this is actually my first december being single since 2017 which was like 7 yrs ago :0 and i'll be in my new place by then & i'm on a 3 week break from work :') so it'll be interesting but i think v nice to spend it in solitude, making a home for myself & just idk enjoying my rest

i'm sad to be leaving certain things, but i think i was p depressed for a bit b/c i'm too used to my routine that none of it felt fun anymore. it's been about 2.5 years since i've lived in this house and its about time for me to go. i think i could only feel so good these past two months was bc i have been looking forward to this move

the most worrisome part is finding a housemate to replace me but i believe in the universe, that good things will come to me and my friends (bc some of my closest friends live in this house now) but yeah im v excited about this. not too many ppl are rlly moving but we shall see what happens. ideally i dont have to pay for full january rent lol that would fking suuuuuccckkk

i still miss and love my ex but meh they chose not to be with me so they don't get to pick and choose when they come back into my life

my room is filled w memories of the past & i just want to start anew. a new morning routine, silence, new space, new bedding, new ppl

i would get to wake up & have an extra hour to just slowly get ready. make a coffee, relax, my commute would be 10 mins instead of 40-50. i don't have to be surrounded by people for my entire day. i get to be independent & choose when to be around people in my free time.

im just sleepy and so tired from the long commute.

lifes good. just hoping for the best. grinding these last two weeks of work. works been good, so good. ive been a great teacher, my team has been awesome. i'm just excited for the next phase of life

Journal Pt.5

I can't sleep maybe at most for like 30 mins to 45 mins and I havent really slept at all for the past 24 to 28 hours. I realized that I am still wearing the same jumper I wore when me and C talked about being apart so that I can heal on my own and not make them feel like a crutch to burden all the ills of my mental health. The sleeves are drenched in tears multiple times since then and makes me feel like my wrist are shacklee by my own grief and sadness from the situation. I was sad but didn't cry throughout most of this trip but now I just can't hold it. I am thankful I have a lot of tissues on me from the ones I took at C's home. I love C so much I just hope this will be fixed overtime and they see me as a better person the one they fell in love with because I cannot bear to think the last 7 years we spend together Will be gone...

No, I don't they will be gone I know we will be back together but I really can't slack off anymore with my life. But I don't know if therapy can kick my very emotional side because I cry a lot and maybe sometimes for the smallest things in C's eyes. My family in Mexico goes to apparently a good one but it will always be a 2 hour drive to get there. I plan on getting my motorcycle and vehicle license as well as maybe get some certifications. I still wanna play games with C and our friends I neglected I don't mean to I have no real explanation to why I do it again maybe therapy will figure it out because I do it to my friends I grew up with. I know I'm possessive of C to a bad level I tend to them them often and even text them really small things that don't really matter and kinda just seems like filler just to fill empty moments. Yes you can love someone and have a healthy relationship without having to message them every single 10, 30, hour, etc. feels more like I'm drowning C with love. I have dated people before C but like I just agreed to dating because I guess I just wanted to experience it? Maybe not be seen as a weirdo who rejects people? I honestly really don't know on this one I would have to talk to my therapist when it comes to it. I guess when I dated people that wasn't C I would be nice and junk but like I'm just doing it to do it. Not really because I wanna do it out of love? Again I don't know I'll have check with the therapist on this and why I treat my friends the way I do maybe they can bring up an angle I can't see. I love my friends I really do and I wanna do the things I promise them id do but like why do I not do it? Like I genuinely do not hate a single one I might have said I don't wanna see them as a friend because I was frustrated that I didn't djt get invited towards the end with C and them but it's understandable I've been so reclusive. I'll work on just getting my bearings in Mexico and message them again and play games with them occasionally. Instead of saying I am going to play with them, ill ask if I can join. 

I honestly do not know where my optimism comes come it's just a weird thing to have being such a downer, depressed, anxiety ritten mess. Imma try to sleep now after typing all this on the plane the next final flight will be my shortest and the least time I have to wait until take off. Until next time.

Then during online school I made a collection of "as vines", but very quickly realised that it wouldnt be very interesting with only the two of them. so we popped in a third wheel: Jake (Yellow)!!! his original idea was just to be the only one with a brain and to have mental crashes every few weeks but he quickly gave up on being the voice of reason? now he mostly just goes along with it while making 7 sex jokes/minute. hes hypersexual what can i say he also probably has a piss kink but what do i know

None of them have any sort of a good relationship with their parents: Chads were masculinity Junkies; Brads were helicopter parents and Jakes were Very religious and pushy

Vivere could very easily be the voice of reason but decides not to; she watches (and encourages) Jake's chaos while eating popcorn and waiting. we also threw in a wyvern. his name is Egg.

this AU was later basically made into an In universe DnD game because theyre all just like that.

Brad and Chad way later in the future adopt twin girls and get a house, and Jake comes with them, but thats yesrs ahead so no need to worry about that.

Hello!!! I've been thinking of getting into the star wars books, and as a star wars fan, do you have any recommendations? I think I'd prefer the more recent ones but whatever you recommend I will look into!

OOOOO yes ive read a lot of them! ive read most of the new canon (not legends), but im reading chronologically so i havent finished the new republic era, and i havent even GOTTEN to the comics yet, but these are my recommendations:

1. the two padme books (queens shadow and queens peril) and the ahsoka book are TOP TIER shit. TOP TIER.

2. i love master and apprentice with all my heart. it connects well with Dooku: Jedi Lost, which is a full cast audiobook, which i have mixed feelings about but i LOOOOVE dooku so definitely worth your time.

3. The canon Thrawn books (not the old ones) are really phenomenal. The first two in the trilogy are just TOP tier and like....lord Thrawn/Eli is my life even though they’re too cowards to do it, and the “prequel” books to the Thrawn trilogy have started coming out as well (the Ascendancy books). They’ve adapted these into comics as well I think!

4. The Rogue One prequel Catalyst is phenomenal. Some of the best autistic-coded representation I’ve ever seen (not real representation, but still pretty good) for Galen, and really interesting stuff there. The other Rogue One prequel, Rebel Rising, is also decent, although Jyn is not the most compelling character, and I don’t love some implications about Saw (again, a victim of the original film not being written by a woman, and an overarching Star Wars issue politically with Saw, but a good book).

5. Dark Disciple is a wonderful book and lord I love Ventress and Quinlan Vos, but I don’t blame the author for the ending. No spoilers, and I love Maul dearly, but Dave Filoni’s insistence on bringing Maul back to the expense of Ventress really shows here. 6. Lords of the Sith isn’t one of my favorites but it is really really good! Same with Tarkin - hateful fucking character but really decent book, and I think there’s a b-plot involving a Rebels Imperial character

7. Most Wanted, the Solo prequel is actually pretty good. Again, a victim of the movie not having much to go on, especially with Qi’ra, but good writing.

8. Lando’s Luck is PHENOMENAL. People don’t talk about it enough because it’s for slightly younger readers but I love it SO SO SO MUCH. (There’s a second book in this series about Hondo Onaka called Pirate’s Price too!)

9. A New Dawn is absolutely top tier shit. What can I say? Kanera is life.

10. A lot of people will tell you Lost Stars is their favorite. It has some really cool characters, romantic writing and interesting concept, but the political implications of it really rubbed me the wrong way. I wanted better. I have a complex relationship with it.

11. The two Battlefront books are shit tier sorry I hate them sorry to people who like them do NOT bother

12. Leia Princess of Alderaan is really good! Although it insists on confirming Leia is straight for some reason. Holdo is in it! And Bail and Breha! It’s a good one.

13. I haven’t read Guardians of the Whills yet but friends who have say it’s wonderful!

14. Heir to the Jedi is just so fucking bad do NOT read it

15. Doctor Aphra is another full cast audiobook and based on a beloved comics character so I haven’t read it yet but I hear it is good!

16. Hot take, I’m really sorry, but the Alphabet Squadron/Shadow Fall/Victory’s Price trilogy is bad and boring and I hated it and I know some people like it but again, some political issues I have and also very boring

17. The Aftermath books are fucking shit tier. I’m sorry. Chuck Wendig I already hate him for various reasons, but GOD they really highlight the MESS that was the setup for the sequels era (which isn’t all his fault), they’re just blatantly misogynist (and RACIST?) at some points, and the omission of certain characters does NOT make sense. Truly a case of when will this man stop writing women. Also a stupid idea to give the BIGGEST Star Wars question “what happened to the Empire after ROTJ” to like ONE man. That being said, there are some good things in there, some little snippets. Cobb Vanth from Mandalorian is from these books! And there’s other little things.

18. Last Shot is PHENOMENAL. Absolutely god tier Hanlando content. Han as a dad. Hijinks. Good shit. Not enough Han and Lando actually being lovers but u know I ask for too much lol. Also L337 is a lesbian in it.

19. Haven’t read Poe Dameron Free Fall or Resistance Reborn yet but I hear they’re good and there’s a tiny bit of Finnpoe food

20. Bloodline.....whew I do NOT like some choices in here. Good writing, tremendous Hanleia content. Some really heart wrenching shit. But bad political implications and some dumb shit involving Ben Solo that’s just illogical. Worth reading though!

22. I haven’t read Phasma, Cobalt Squadron, Black Spire, or Crash of Fate, but I hear they’re really good!

23. Force Collector is really good and apparently it got so close to the actual plot of TROS the LFL Story Group had to tell the author to go in a different direction. I think it’s really cute!

i’ve read most of these from my library using Libby, and most as audiobooks. the Ahsoka and Padme books have their original TCW voice actors and are really good. Some other ones the narration especially from men is bad. It’s up to you!

Two of my best friends are each others exes and they’re still friends. I haven’t stayed friend with my ex, but, uh, he ghosted me so? Lol.

11. When was the last time you cried really hard? I can't remember. I don't think it was that long ago, I had a light cry on Saturday, but I don't remember the last time I cried really hard. When we got back from our trip in July. Had a full on breakdown that night. Overheated all weekend. Overwhelmed. Anxiety. It was not a very good vacation..I cry a lot though.

I think my dad, on his phone, b/c there was a cicada on his shoulder and he wanted to ask the family group chat if he could keep it. Lol. I take a LOT of pictures of cats though. Lol.

14. Was yesterday better than today? Hail yes! To much drama today! And I couldn't avoid it cause I was in the middle of it! (Oof, what drama was 15 yo Linda dealing with that she couldn’t avoid? Lol. I mean, I guess, Sophomore year was a bit full of drama lol) Anyway, I mean, they were pretty much the same. One wasn’t better than the other. One wasn’t worse than the other.

15. Can you live a day without TV? yeah. Now Music there is something I can't live without! Yep, Do it almost everyday. Sentiments about music remain the same. Lol.

16. Are you upset about anything? Yes. I'm annoyed about something and it's making me upset. (I assume this has something to do with the the drama mentioned earlier lol) Always. Anxiety & depression are a bitch. My rooms a mess & I can’t get myself to clean it. My shelves are still a mess.

17. Do you think relationships are ever really worth it? yeah. though i havent really had one yet. I mean, yeah. Even though I haven’t had one last, aside from friendships, but they’re worth it.

19. Night out or night in? Depends on what's going on and how I feel about it. Night in usually. I do like going out sometimes, but, like, to dinner. Maybe a movie or a show. But, you know, we’ve been in a panini press, the only thing I’ve been comfortable doing is going to dinner (fully vaxxed & masked). But I also prefer staying home anyway. (Like I usually just go to dinner with my family lol)

20. What items could you not go without during the day? my computer. my book. my journal and a pen. My phone. My journal (b/c I write in it every night, as a diary, 14yo Linda wrote stories). Uh. I didn’t take food or drinks into account in the og, so I won’t in those. But, yeah. My phone & journal. I can go a day without my laptop if I need to. (Went the whole trip in July without pulling it out, though maybe that’s not a good example since my anxiety on that trip was so high..) I want to say a book, but I’ve been in a massive reading slump so...I wish I read as much as 15yo Linda did..

just crack+ fluff + platonic-ish relationship (gn!y/n) (w: language!) a/n: this has been bugging me for awhile now since i havent seen headcanons of this yet (if their are do send them on my ask box) and since im on a slump, i decided to write this down. this is completely fun, easy-going, and self-indulgent, really perfect for someone stuck on a slump ksks. idk if i should make some for the other schools but oh welp enjoy! happy 900 btw werkwerk uwu so weird to reach this when im not even very active.

Now let’s be honest here, it’s no surprise that the volleyball team of aoba johsai has their own sports journalist. Like, c’mon, they’re one of the best in the prefecture.

But let’s start with the basics here, shall we? Let’s start with you, how this all goes through, and how you got into this heaping pile of mess.

There you were in high hopes to get into journalism for college so what better way was it than to apply for the school paper? It would definitely look good and pretty in those college applications *chef’s kiss* you’re a second year btw idk if that matters but yeah..

Much to your surprise no one was applying for the news section which was kind of sad since you wanted a buddy there.

but-but it turns out though everyone was applying for the sports section completely understandable, next to feature, it was the most exciting thing to write because there was going to be a special section and writer for the volleyball team.

You knew that volleyball was kind of a big thing around your school?? you just didn’t expect it to amass like that much people.

The editor in chief is obviously surprised, you were the first person on that day to come in there and actually apply for something else.

and guess where that led you to?

Yep, the sport’s section, specifically the volleyball team’s personal sports journalist. Your brain goes brrt brrt because you were not a sports writer at all and you were, ironically, scared of ball games.

VOLLEYBALL WAS COMPLETELY NEW TERRITORY FOR YOU.

Your editor in chief laughs it off and says, “you’ll do fine… its like news bUT SPORTS! IT’LL DEFINITELY LOOK GOOD IN YOUR APPLICATIONS!”

It doesn’t help that on the first day when you enter the gym you look terribly constipated and panicking a lot because of all the stray balls being spiked and tossed around.

It also didn’t help that you crash course the terminologies and the member’s name a night before and you were just running on iced coffee that day.

When you approach the coach, you’re not exactly sure what to say and you were this close to chickening out until you saw one of the players come up to you and ask if you were alright and if you wanted to talk to oikawa.

and idk man, first impressions do indeed last because you ended up (unknowingly) sharing the same brain cell with Matsukawa Issei.

He tells you the team’s pretty chill and you should stop looking like they spiked a ball on your puppy or something.

Basically introduces you to the whole team after,

Kentaro was another story though, kid basically hated your guts at first, it felt like if you were to say one sentence to him that day, he’d literally spike a ball at your direction.

you gradually start to understand the coolness of the sport since you had to incorporate visiting them once or twice a week during practice.

You’re literally just there to write about them but they’re really patient and kind, they even invite you to practice games so that you could practice out your skills in writing since you mentioned that you’ve never written for sports yet.

they even give you some added key terms that aren’t found in books and online.

you’re def closest to iwaizumi and matsukawa.

iwaizumi because he makes really funny fish jokes about oikawa (yes you arent supposed to be laughing but man theyre funny af, oikawa would usually call you and iwa corny because the jokes aren’t even that funny) and yes its canon that whenever iwaizumi sees an oikawa fish in textbooks, he starts laughing and joking about it.

no explanation needed why you ended up being close to matsukawa.

Yes he is everything! such a great, interesting character and i wish there were more John-centric episodes! The portrayal of suicide is cringe most of the time anyway. If my suicidal ass can find a list of suicide methods and their lethality in 2 mins on Google you'd think writers who are supposed to do some research would be able to find them too but no they're like "ah yes slicing wrists" even though it's literally the shittiest method 🙄 (I just don't understand why slicing wrists seems to be such a popular method in the collective imagination ? It's weird.) At least in 13rw she took aspirin and cut herself vertically instead of horizontally but still, no hesitation wounds, and she dies even though she only got 4 wounds iirc ? I know more about jumping off bridges than slicing wrists, but it kinda sounds like bullshit to me. Also Netflix once suggested "beyond the reasons" to me, it's a sort of discussion with the cast and crew of 13rw and the only thing I remember is a moment of intellectual masturbation abt how they "opened a discussion abt suicide" 😬😬😬

They may have cut it out it's not impossible, idk I didn't hear about it, but it's not like I look for info about this dumpster fire lol. Maybe they faced backlash ? Wouldn't be surprised given how shit the show was. And yeah it has a hopeless vibe, I mean that's how it be when you're suicidal, but I didn't like it either.

You're sweet 💜💜 it's interesting that you find it respectable or admirable, I don't have an external point of view, so I'm just like 🤷 it is what it is. I understand where you're coming from though, I guess it's still quite a taboo subject, and suicidal people don't always feel comfortable talking about it, so me throwing around that I jumped off a bridge must be surprising. I'm detached enough from my suicide attempt that I'm able to talk about it without much of a problem, and I'm not really suicidal anymore.

Harold is eating breakfast with Grace in her kitchen – he can't think of her home as his home – when his phone vibrates. It's a text from the machine. It's a surprise, she barely contacted him since... He blocks the thoughts and the images coming to his mind. The machine sent him a picture. When he opens it, his heart misses a beat. Right here on his screen is a silhouette he thought he would never see again. His phone vibrates again. Another picture, this time it's unmistakably John, wearing his signature suit, Bear next to him. Transfixed, he stares at his phone until he feels Grace gently touching his arm. She goes straight to the point.

"Is it John ?" He looks up in confusion, but before he can say anything, she adds, "I hear you call him in your sleep every night."

"It's him, yes." He doesn't want to explain. He only wants to see John, to touch him, to tell him how much he loves him.

"You should go back to him. I like you, Harold. I am deeply relieved to see you alive. But I've been thinking, and... It's not working. This, us... You aren't really the man I fell in love with, the man I grieved... I can't trust you anymore." She doesn't say 'You lied to me' but Harold hears it all the same.

Harold sits on their bench. The machine indicated John often comes here. Soon enough, his arms are full of Bear, and John is standing in front of him.

"John. How are you ?" he asks when Bear finally calms down.

"Busy. And you ?"

Harold eyes him suspiciously – John once said he was busy when he was bleeding and way too close to death – but he seems to be well.

"I'm fine." He doesn't have time for awkward small talk." I thought you were dead. Why didn't you contact me ?"

"The machine told me you were with Grace. I thought you wanted to come back to your previous life. I didn't want to crash into it and ruin what you had."

Harold wants to be angry at him, but he understands. He did the same with Grace.

"You would never ruin anything. Besides, my relationship with Grace... didn't survive my lies. She's very dear to my heart, but she's a part of my previous life, as you said."

"So you came back for the machine, and the numbers, like the good old times ?"

Harold gets up from the bench.

"I came back for you. You are an important part of my life. The most important part."

John smiles, finally. He takes a step towards Harold, they're so close they could kiss. Harold reaches out, grips his shirt and slowly inches closer. He's still afraid of being rejected but John wraps his arm around him and kisses him. The kiss is over too soon. John's smile is even wider when they part.

"You're the most important part of my life too," he says before kissing Harold again. "You will stay ?"

"Always."
