whenever i see someone wanting to get into hasu being told to just watch the stories it does get to me like. yes the with×meets arent critical to the plot but if you want to get to know the characters like on a 'personal' level (without the constraint of "needing to do something plot relevant") theyre definitely the best way. you dont want to play the worlds most incomprehensible game of charades with tsuzuri?

#i have no idea why the main story uses regular animation instead of mocap it doesnt capture tsuzuri's charms at all imo #like with the story animation only the character who is speaking moves so everyone else is frozen #and for tsuzuri who is relatively quiet she ends up just standing in a scene in a silence?#whereas in a with×meets she is constantly moving. she likes rocking back and forth and nodding and clapping at what people say #gemitus #something else i was thinking about wrt all the card art being part of the canon- (although i dont know when ceribou #went to venice for those fortune movie URs!!) is they also help to ground the story in real time #just like how half an episode of main story is released every two weeks essentially recounting the events of The past two weeks #since the last half episode. cards are released on around the same schedule. like i know eg cherry picnic are specifically set in june #bc thats not only when they were released but also the art depicts an event in the story in june mentioned in a june with×meets #and cherry picnic isnt like a 'special' set like deepness there isnt a cherry picnic plot point or anything #just saw a clip from today's holiholi and cried 💕
