OK I HAVE SO MANY THINGS I WANNA TALK 2 U ABOUT SO HERE IS ME RANTING AND PUTTING QUESTIONS:
I lovehe relationship yn has w the tomlinsons😫 like how she has a secrete handshake with the twins and how lottie is like her little sister and LOUIS IS LITERALLY A DREAM FRIENDSHIP
I have this thing where i like to think that yn was a big fan of paramore, and she also wrote some hits like only exeption (it just screams her and also it reminds me of how she would feel abt harry)
I also see her writing 'girl crush' when harry and taylor were dating and then saling it in 2014 but idk thats just me
And am i the only one who sees a PERFERT friendship between her and jennifer lawrence??
OK NOW I GOT SOME QUESTIONS SO HOPE THEY'RE NOT TOO MUCH
Whats the readers networth? Like i know that shes rich but how rich🤔
On a scale of 1-10 how famous is she? Like comparing to a big celebrity like Beyonce is she just as famous or..?
Whats her favorite colour?
Who is more clingy, harry or her?
Besides harry and louis who is her bestfriend that she hangs out w the most
What are some celebrities that got a crush on her and who has made that public
The weeknd has a song 'the party & after party' and it kind of sounds that hes describing a girl like yn "with your louis v bag, tats on your arms, high heels shoes make you 6 feet tall.." so are there some speculations ab this from the fans?
AND LAST is the reader the teaser in the relationship or does harry like to make fun of her more? ( srry if theres any mistakes)
IM ALWAYS DOWN FOR THIS LOVIE 💚
same!! they're family 🥰
funny enough, i actually picture a lot of paramore's music to be the music that yn would make with her band when she was in high school!
in the 1d!yn universe, she wrote Girl Crush!! (I remember talking about it a while ago on here but I forgot what year she wrote & sold it lol)
I don't know much about jennifer lawrence but thats an interesting pair 👀
I'll base it off of ariana grande's net worth at 240 million. But we all know that no number can amount to her actual worth 💅
I'd say that on a scale of 1-10, she's about an 8. She's a household name and an absolute force to be reckoned with. She's the type of famous that she forgets that she is and she'll record herself reacting to tiktoks lying down in bed, make-up free, and just lose her mind laughing. Or there was another time when she took herself out on a brunch date bc Harry went out to play golf that morning. Two girls approached her table and politely greeted her, said how much they loved her and had tickets to see her show that night. But before they could leave, YN invited them to sit with her and spent the rest of the morning eating and chatting with them.
Her favorite color is lavender 💜
Harry is the more clingy of the two! He's always the one who lays himself on top of her when she's about to get out of bed. When they arrive at the stadium he's going to perform at, her hand is constantly intertwined with his. When she's doing some last-minute rehearsals and sound checks, he's sitting at the edge of the room as he watches her work while still giving her her space. Or when she's in her home studio, he insists that she sits in his lap as she works because he's missed her all day, promising that he won't be a distraction to her (even though he totally is). And don't get it twisted, she can be clingy too sometimes; she's just better at hiding it.
Her other good friends that she hangs out with whenever she can are: Abel (the weeknd), Perrie Edwards, and Alisha Davies (an old friend from Doncaster turned choreographer).
oh my gosh where do I even begin?! There's a couple that initially come to mind: Matt Healy, Alex Turner, and Taron Egerton. For some reason, I can hear Matt say in an interview: "YN YLN is totally fit. Yeah, she's a fucking babe she is."
OOO definitely! Fans from both fan bases had speculated that they might have dated in 2017 (they didn't) bc that's when they hung out in public for the first time. Some people still speculate that Abel might have a crush on her til this day.
I'd say they share the teasing role. She throws playful jabs at him left and right, but she's the one who helped coax out that side of him. While they tease one another behind closed doors ALL the time, their favorite time to make fun of each other is at each other's shows.

Autumn Classic Full Recap - Sept. 21, 2017
It’s been more than a week since Autumn Classic wrapped up and I figure I ought to do a full recap of each day. I didn’t catch all events (a girl has to eat at some point!), and this will be very Yuzu-centric, but read on if you’re interested in my little anecdotes.
Or, if you want a glimpse of what I saw you can just go through my 2017 Autumn Classic International fancam playlist.
I took a red-eye flight to Montreal and landed early Thursday morning and met up with some friends when I landed around 8 AM. This left me enough time to get to the first senior practice session for ladies and caught most of the competitors. One of the first things I did was hung the banner I made for Helsinki (which they never put up during Worlds), but I later moved it. There were quite a few banners already hung up and probably 95% of them were for Yuzu.
For the ladies the two top competitors were Mai Mihara and Kaetlyn Osmond. I fully expected Osmond to win here, but that Mai may have a chance to take the title if she skated clean and Kaetlyn didn’t. I’ll write more on the ladies SP at the end as it was the first senior competition to take place on Thursday.
Next came senior dance practice and I only stayed for the first group as I was getting hungry. Canada’s top three dance teams were all competing at this competition so the results were pretty predictable for dance, but it was fun to see the debut of new programs.
After taking a break to get food at the Tim Horton’s nearby we hung around the lobby looking at some sample garments that were on sale and noticed there were quite a few people standing around the staircase and realized they were probably waiting for Yuzu to arrive, so we tried to sit down on one of the nearby benches to see if we can wait and see him arrive as well but we got shoo’d away saying that area was only for skaters. To give you an idea of the increase in amount of people at the event, last year 4 of us were able to stand in the lobby and we did see Yuzu enter from the front door. That’s when I made this fun GIF:
This year, Autumn Classic did more official ticket sales through Event Brite (although it seems like they never figured out how to do the QR code scanning), the year before you emailed someone to reserve your ticket. I think the fact that they did official ticket sales, and that Yuzu wasn’t going to be at Skate Canada this season, and all his other events are so difficult to get tickets to spurred many fans to go to Autumn Classic this year.
Anyway, we made our way up the stairs and waited around with the crowd. At one point I counted 80 people within my field of vision just standing around waiting, you can see the size of the crod in my photo. We probably waited about 45 minutes (some were waiting even longer) and later I heard one of the girls on the stairs say he wasn’t coming in Mandarin so the crowd dispersed. I’ll just mention that it was pretty hot in Montreal so standing in this spot was both warm and sunny. We did see Misha (welcome back!) and Brian walk through, when Brian came by everyone got excited. I had joked before that with the size of this crowd that I felt Yuzu probably wouldn’t just waltz through the door like last year and that he would probably come in from the back.
As Brian was talking to the staff below I thought they were making arrangements for Yuzu to enter, but I couldn’t really hear much - in retrospect Brian probably WAS a decoy because as soon as I walked back in the rink, who else was there but Yuzu doing image training near the Kiss and Cry during the pairs practice!
After Yuzu disappeared back into the halls we promptly took our seats again, after having eaten (and having coffee, since I barely slept during my red-eye) and gotten a chance to stretch my legs I was more than ready for the men to start their practice sessions.
This is where my memory starts to blur a bit as I’m not entirely sure which men practiced their SP and which practiced their FS on this day. So here are some cursory comments on the free skates:
Javi: I'm not a fan of his free skate ending with The Impossible Dream, choreography was fine, some nice moments.
Misha: Delighted he decided not to retire last season!
Andrew and Jordan Dodds: I will admit I can’t tell the two apart and constantly mix them up (I kept wondering if they were twins).
Harry Mattick had an “entertaining” routine to Nightmare Before Christmas.
It was nice to see Daisuke Murakami back on the ice, even if his results here weren’t great. He sure does love his permed hair.
Keegan Messing has good speed, he definitely has niche in terms of the type of programs he skates to that may not resonate with me, but he has a great energy.
It was nice to see Nam Nguyen getting back on his feet, he looks much better than when I last saw him in Boston.
One of the skaters had a Schindler’s List/Rachmaninoff FS, it was an odd mix of music.
So onto Yuzu, I think I mentioned that news of the sore right knee came out as I was enroute to Montreal via Vancouver and I was pretty nervous for him, I wasn’t sure how simplifying his jump content was going to work out. His first practice was a pretty mixed bag in terms of jumps, he looked VERY awkward forcing himself to do 3Lz and 3Lo at the beginning of Seimei in the first practice, he looked like he had to visibly pull out of rotation early, but had great height. He popped some jumps and also had some issues with the axel. It did feel like he was conserving energy this day and taking it a bit easier than I usually see him in practice. As for Seimei, he didn’t do a full run-through but I love the little changes to the movement and the step sequence. We’ll have to see if they change things up though as he only got a level 3 for his step sequence in the free. His overall body language in the program has more commitment than before and it definitely feels more polished, the jumps in the second half in particular feel linked together. I did see him set up for the first jump in Ballade no. 1 with a 3Lo at first, and then a 4S, so I knew he was probably going to do a 4S instead of a 4Lo in the SP (this was later confirmed by Japanese media).
At one point, Yuzu basically did a besti squat around nearly half the rink. Turns out he’d include this in his new cool-down routine and it looks very cool and elegant! I love watching Yuzu practice, you get to see him move in a way you don’t always get to see during competition. I highly recommend you try to see him live and go to watch practice if you get the chance.
At the end of practice Daisuke sort of came up behind Yuzu and put his hand on his back, it was a very “there, there” type of gesture, which again, worried me a bit given the knee news, but it came off as a a big brother type of interaction. As Yuzu left the rink he bent down to touch the ice as he normally does when he enters and leaves the rink. Only this time, he seemed to linger there a couple seconds longer than usual, which again, made me a bit nervous.
And that was it for practice! I ended up skipping the junior short programs in order to get dinner and returned part-way into the senior ladies free skate. I missed Courtney Hicks so I can’t comment on her SP, but here are some general comments:
Elizabet Tursynbaeva had a clean-ish SP, and immediately after Rin Nitaya skated to the same music, but with lyrics. Elizabet has recently taken to trying tanos and rippons with her jumps, I’m not sure I love the end result.
Mai Mihara skated a clean SP. I liked this program when I first saw videos of it from the summer shows. In person I think Mai’s delivery of the choreography needs more sharpness and commitment, I don’t think she’s fully comfortable with the movements yet and it does affect the performance and execution somewhat. I’m sure she’ll work on this and hopefully bring the program to the next level.
Kaetlyn Osmond skated her Edith Piaf SP again and scored 75. This is a great program for her and she easily deserved her first place, but I wish they had done some fine tuning for this program. I think it was identical to what I saw at Skate Canada and Worlds last season. As this is a repeat program I’d like her team to focus on bringing it to the next level and sharpening it, otherwise I’m not sure how much higher she can score with it.
Things ended pretty late and we were in for another early morning to get good seats for practice, which meant a night of little sleep! The story of these skating trips for me are averaging 4-5 hours of sleep, eating unhealthy fast food and searching for fresh fruits and vegetables, and being indoors for over 12 hours in a day and going back to my hotel room to darkness and getting totally thrown off by what time it is. Day 2 and the epic SP recap to come later!

Taylor, it’s midterms time, so naturally this long post happened
Taylor, what to say to you.
I gotta admit I’m horrible with words-I’m not a good writer, but on a smaller scale I could show you horrifyingly embarrassing messages to guys with my feelings typed out in a chaotic mess.
So I’ll try to tell you everything. Here goes.
I’m Isabelle! I’m from Rockville, MD, basically right outside DC (kinda) but I’m currently in Chicago for school at Loyola University Chicago! I have 2 foolish yet incredibly smart brothers, my mom is my best friend in the whole world, and I live with my grandparents as well. I’ve played piano since age 3, I love to sing, I am OBSESSED with musical theatre, I love to make people laugh and, on that note, I love comedy-sketch, improv, stand up...you name it. I love puns a little too much...but CAN someone love puns too much? THE LIMIT DOES NOT EXIST. But I digress. There’s someone who has had a huge impact on my life who I’ve never met, and that someone is you.
It’s 2007. I’m in 5th (pretty sure) grade, and our school’s talent show is coming up. Basically, we had to audition to even perform at the talent show (a concept I did not understand but as I type this I’m realizing that is the premise of most music competition shows on TV? Good job, Isabelle. Nailed it.) I played piano, that was it, but an older student (maybe 7th grade at the time) auditioned with a song I hadn't heard before...it was a song called Our Song. I quickly became obsessed with the song. We both got into the talent show, and she ended up performing A Place in this World in front of the school. I ended up playing my piano piece. Those two songs, not even sung by you the first times I heard them, started my love of your music.
Now, it’s 2009-2010. (TIME TRAVEL, RIGHT??) I am in 8th grade, going into high school (CRAZY) and tickets for a certain tour are on sale...the Fearless tour. You had one date in the summer of 2010 for DC at the Verizon Center, but it conflicted with my 8th grade graduation. THEN, because MIRACLES HAPPEN, there was a second date added for DC, the day before the original tour date! Unfortunately, the day before my actual graduation ceremony we had a “mandatory” pre-graduation dinner thing. Still a little bitter I couldn't go to the Fearless tour, but I made up for it later with 3 other tours.
The year is 2011! Freshman year of high school? Not awesome! I went to an all-girls Catholic high school, and I made a lot of friends, but those friendships didn't really happen till sophomore year. Sophomore year is when I truly threw myself into my school’s performing arts department. I fell in love. I had actually done shows in the summer at my high school, but they were summer camp-y programs, so it was before I was a student there. The first show was Hairspray, follows by the spring production of You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown. In between, I participated in an Improv Show and a dance concert. Ok. So. I cannot dance. I enjoy dancing, and especially now I still say I cannot dance, but I LOVE DANCING. I love dancing and looking 1000% foolish while doing so. I signed up for a class called “Intro to Modern Dance” thinking it meant modern music, like ‘at the moment’ music. WRONG. You know what modern dance means, Taylor:
Basically....that. I, a VERY pale short female with short brown hair and bangs, wore different pastel leotards that had flowy fabric attached to them and pranced across stage before doing what can ONLY be described as ‘birthing motions’. I had to hairspray my bangs back, and when I would remove bobbi pins etc the bangs would STICK STRAIGHT UP...
True story. Anyways, not the worst thing, but a funny thing.
So, summer 2011 I was an ensemble member in our summer production of Footloose. I also had successfully gotten (thank you Mom...) tickets to night 1 of the Speak Now World Tour in DC for August 2011. I went by myself, but my oldest brother, Jerry, dropped me off and made sure I was safely inside before he went to a Nationals game. He picked me up as well, and he ended up catching the final sounds of that concert from standing in the lobby after the game. I remember everything about that concert. I remember being awestruck when the incredibly touching intro to the album was spoken by you, and then awestruck by the smoke machine....leading to a powerful, young woman rising up from under a stage in a gold glittery dress. That alone blew me away. I took a few pictures at that show, but this one sticks out-partially because it is the least blurry one I took, and partially because I like that you see you on the big screen and onstage:
That night and the Speak Now album mean so much to me. It’s special because it was the first time I ever saw you perform live, Taylor, but also because the album has so many songs I hold dear. All your albums do.
Fearless has songs that reassure me, even at age 20, like Fifteen, and it has the song that is my mom’s favorite...The Best Day. It also has anthems that make my heart pound with a sort of fire...Change.
Speak Now, similarly, has songs that resonate with me and will continue to resonate with me forever. I can't even talk about Never Grow Up on here or ever because it makes me cry thinking about how much I love my grandparents, brothers, and my marvelous mom. Enchanted is a song that I could quite possibly talk about for days and days and days. It so specifically illustrates all the emotions I feel when I truly “crush” on someone. It also is helpful, because the words you put to that song are lightyears more poignant than how I could describe how I put feelings into words. And you DID. THAT. Enchanted is a song that means so much to the whole fandom, for obvious reasons.
It is 2012, my high school is doing The Wiz, and I am freaking out over RED. Red was a turning point for you, and again, it illustrated feelings in ways I couldn't fathom: “all I feel in my stomach is butterflies, the beautiful kind, making up for lost time, taking flight...”, “everybody loves pretty, everybody loves cool..”--I was a junior in high school at this time, and I had experienced bullying and people talking behind my back constantly as well as some cyberbullying. It was not great. The theatre really helped me. My mom surprised me, in 2013, with tickets to night 1 of the Red tour in DC! I went by myself, but I got a text 15 minutes into being in my section from my mom that said “do you see the big Red sign?” ...aka this:
...which was not lit (hehe...LIT) at the time my mom texted me. She ended up hearing from a friend that had extra box seats so she called up 2 other friends from work and they joined her in a completely different section from me in the Verizon Center! I just think it’s so funny!! This ended up being more meaningful than I’d thought because this show was the day before Mothers Day. The “surprise” B stage song was Never Grow Up, a song my mom and I adore. From the entrance to the light up drums to the music box to confetti galore, this was another night i’ll never forget.
I forgot to say another thing when talking about all your tours: I am obsessed with musical theatre, and something you never fail to include on tours is a theatrical feel. It’s always so beautifully done, with quirky “Stage direction” type things and costumes...thank you for that.
By this time...I’ve graduated high school and decided on a school in the midwest...the windy city itself, CHICAGO. Loyola University Chicago, in fact!
It is summer 2014, and I have had a tumblr for some time, mostly filled with photos of bunnies, you-related things/edits, SNL, Harry Potter, and puns. (The basics, you know...not much has changed!)
There have been videos by this time of elevator buttons and secrets about a LIVESTREAM. So, in the car with my mom on the way to move into my dorm (we stopped at Notre Dame on the way because it’s a LONG drive from where I live and most of my family has attended ND! I also worked at Notre Dame this past summer!) I was using a bunch of data to stream your livestream...and? 1989 is coming! I played Shake it Off a LOT on that car ride once I downloaded it. It was so cool because I tried to brush off the bullying I faced in high school and something you said about 1989 was this: “This is a story about coming into your own, and as a result...coming alive.” The album with that message brought me into my freshman year of college, a year filled with many ups and downs. I thank you for being there for me.
Summer 2015, I had the great honor of going to night 1 (JULY 13, yes 13...!!!) of the 1989 Tour in DC, this time at Nationals Park-outside, which was VERY exciting for me, with my godmother! Lorde was the surprise guest, and I am now happy to say I am seeing Lorde live in concert March 2018! The 1989 concert was spectacular, it was clear you were taking charge of doing what YOU want and sticking to your genuine, full heart 24/7. I can’t thank you enough for the memories you’ve given me.
I love everyone on here, on tumblr, even though I do not know any of them--in real life. I hope to meet all of you guys, you’re hilarious on here, and I may not post as often as many of you, but I send you all love always.
Now, I am a senior in college. That is WEIRD AF. I turn 21 this Christmas, (I’m a Christmas baby!) I graduate in May, and after that I don't have plans. I need to get a job, I know that, but uncertainty is AT AN ALL TIME HIGH right now.
reputation comes out in less than 1 month, and I cannot wait. From what I know so far, and what I know about your “Take no shit and spread so much love no matter what as a strong independent woman” attitude is that I will love this album FOR. SURE. I love you endlessly. I really, really, really hope to meet you someday, and I hope you know that you mean so much to me. Thank you for being a friend to me, even when all I needed was a high note, a funny post, a cat photo, photos of you with fans that make my heart burst, and the hope that someday I’ll meet you. I can't wait for that day.
I love you so much, Tay.
Love,
Isabelle

Here’s the next part to my main story! Title is inspired by this song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z8T0qK7I_pA
One of the lines towards the end is borrowed from Friends just because I think it’s one of the best out there!
Hope you enjoy :)
2017
Harry sat in the conference room, pretending to listen to the presentation on projected ticket sales for his upcoming tour. At the beginning of his solo career, he insisted that he wanted to be involved in every aspect of every event, but he was beginning to regret that as he looked at the 100th slide with the same graph projected on a screen in front of him.
It had been 12 hours since he had gotten the texts from his girl saying that she was willing to try. Reading her words filled him with relief and joy. He had renewed hope that he could mend what he had broken and make his heart whole again. Just as he let his mind wander to thoughts of her and what their future could be, his phone buzzed on the table in front of him, indicating he had a new email.
Harry immediately snatched it up and saw that it was from her. With a pounding heart and shaking hands, he swiped it open, mentally preparing himself for the guilt and sadness that was going to consume him at her words.
However, nothing could prepare him for the utter devastation he felt when he saw she changed her mind. Momentarily, he was consumed by heartbreak and loneliness before he shook his head. No. He wasn’t going to let her give up. It might be selfish, but he couldn’t get this far with her only to walk away. He leaned over to his right and whispered to Jeff.
“I need to leave. Now.”
Jeff nodded, “Okay, everyone. Thanks for giving us a lot to think about. You guys put together a great presentation and we’re excited about the future!”
Once it was clear, Harry rushed out of the room and into his waiting car. He couldn’t get to her fast enough. After driving recklessly through the London streets, he braked harshly and quickly parked outside her flat. He quickly rushed up the stairs and began pounding on her door with desperate fists.
She opened the door with a tired, resigned face. He could tell that she was expecting him. He could also tell that she wasn’t necessarily happy about it. She silently stepped aside and he rushed in, not giving her an opportunity to change her mind.
“I’m not letting you change your mind,” Harry said firmly.
“Harry,” she sighed
“No.” he repeated, “You’re not changing your mind. I love you.”
Suddenly, he watched her walls break and emotion explode from her.
“I don’t believe you.” she spat
“What?” Harry asked, dumbfounded
“I don’t believe that you love me, Harry.” she said, venom laced in her tone, “It used to be the only thing I knew to be true but now, after everything, it all feels like a lie.”
“You don’t mean that,” he said, swallowing around the growing lump in his throat.
“I do,” she said firmly
“Bean, please. Tell me what I can say to convince you” Harry asked desperately
“It’s not what you say, Harry! God, you could say the sky is green but those are just words! They don’t mean anything!” she yelled, losing any sense of rationality
“I always tried to show you…” Harry trailed off, knowing he didn’t try as much as he should, as much as she deserved
She laughed. An uncontrollable, bitter laugh that bubbled up from the depths of her insides. “Did you? Did you really? This is news to me! Let’s take a little trip down memory lane, shall we? Find out how we got to this very lovely moment.”
June 2016
Harry trudged up the stairs of her flat. His life had taken a few turns since One Direction went on hiatus and he could feel his emotions and thoughts scatter as he tried to figure out what his new path was going to be. He spent his days either in endless meetings or wandering around England thinking about all the options before him. It was exhausting. He was due to leave for France in a few days to start filming Dunkirk. He knew he needed to spend time with her but all he really wanted to do was sleep.
Using his spare key, his shoulders dropped in disappointment as he heard the loud music coming from her bathroom. She always listened to music while she showered, but usually opted for more mellow tunes the later she showered. He was honestly hoping to catch her right at the end of her nightly routine so they could just collapse into her bed.
Instead, he sprawled out on her couch, closing his eyes. Moments later, he heard the music get a little louder and wet footsteps approach.
“You scared me!” she said with a smile, “I didn’t hear you come in,”
Keeping his eyes closed, he muttered, “I’m not surprised. You can’t hear anything above all that fucking noise.”
He missed her eyes widen in shock and hurt. Her response was swallowed by the sudden ringing of her phone.
“Hi Daddy,” she answered, “Yeah I’m alright. Poor mum got the brunt of the emotion because I called her right after it happened…”
Her voice trailed off as she went back in the bathroom and shut the door. Harry vaguely registered that she was upset and hadn’t called him. He was curious as to what happened and knew he should follow her to provide comfort. He just couldn’t bring himself to pull his exhausted self off the couch and love her.
The moment he stayed on that couch was the first crack in the foundation.
August 8, 2016
She sat in her silent apartment, staring at her phone resting on the coffee table in front of her. Her knee bounced up and down relentlessly while she chewed her lower lip. Knowing that you were due to get the worst phone call of your life was enough to send anyone’s nervous system haywire. Two days ago, her mother had called to inform her that her beloved grandfather had fallen and, while he was comfortable, it was only a matter of time before he moved on. In the time since that phone call, she had received almost hourly texts from one family member or another giving updates on his condition. All she wanted was Harry to be with her, holding her as her world fell apart, but he was thousands of miles away in LA and barely responded to any of her messages.
Her thoughts were interrupted by the ringing of her phone. Seeing her father’s contact photo on the screen, she took a breath, blinking back tears. An actual phone call could only mean one thing.
“Daddy?” she choked out
“Bean,” he sighed, “Pop died.”
“Okay,” she said, trying to hold her tears in. She could tell her father was trying to do the same and the line was silent for a moment.
“Get on the first train you can and Mum and I will be there. The brothers are on their way too.” he told her, clearing his throat after every sentence to hide his emotion
“Okay,” she repeated.
They hung up the phone a minute later, both unable to hold back their tears any longer. Loud, ugly sobs wracked her body. Realistically, she knew this day would come for every one of her loved ones, but hearing the actual words from her father shattered every piece of her heart.
With shaking hands, she called the one person she needed the most.
“Hey,” he answered shortly, “What’s up?”
She took a deep breath and swallowed her sobs, “He’s gone.”
“Pop?” he questioned with a slightly softer tone, “I’m sorry, Bean. Do you need me to come?”
She was shocked into silence for a moment. If this had happened a year, even 6 months ago, he never would have asked that question. He would’ve just rushed to be with her.
“Well, not if it’s a fucking chore, Harry.”
He sighed on the other end, “That’s not what I meant.”
She wiped her tears furiously, “Come, don’t come. It’s not about you. I have to go.”
The call ended and her sobs returned. In the end, he did end up coming, but the crack that had appeared in their relationship only widened.
August 18, 2016
“What do you mean you’re not coming?” she asked, heart sinking.
“Bean,” he sighed, “I was just there 10 days ago. I can’t miss any more time in the studio. You know how important this is to me.”
“Of course I know it’s important Harry! And I’m sorry that my grandfather dying was such an inconvenience to you, but you’ve never missed my birthday. Ever. No matter how crazy everything got, you’ve always been there.”
“I don’t know what to tell you. I’m in LA, you’re in London. I can’t leave again.” he said shortly
“I get it.” she said, matching his tone, “Thanks for letting me know.”
October 2016
Since the terrible month of August, their relationship had been strained at best. Communication had been minimal. She had chalked it up to him being away and recording his album, holding on to the naive hope that their relationship could be mended. He was due to be home the next day and she worked hard to clear her schedule and groom herself to look her best for him. Just as she folded the last piece of laundry and put it away in her closet, her phone rang.
“Hey! I can’t wait to see you tomorrow!” she said cheerily to her boyfriend
“Bean,” he sighed, “I’m not coming.”
She sat slowly on her bed, sadness creeping into her skin, “What was it this time?”
“I need to record some stuff with musicians in LA”
“I can’t say I’m surprised,” she muttered
“You know what?” he said angrily, “I haven’t been able to do enough for you for months. You don’t understand that this album is the most important thing in my life right now and I have to put everything into it. I can’t constantly be worried about you and what you think”
Tears sprang to her eyes at his bitter tone, “Harry. I do understand it’s important. I’m sorry if I made you feel like you had to choose. I -”
He cut her off, “No, I can’t do this anymore. I need to be on my own and just focus”
“What?” she breathed
“I’m sorry.” he said and then hung up the phone
2017
Harry’s head hung in shame. He pressed his hands to his eyes, keeping his tears at bay. Being confronted with your worst mistakes was never easy, but compounded by the fact that those mistakes broke the heart of the only woman he has ever loved was almost unbearable.
“After you said that to me, I was devastated Harry, and I thought you would have been too.”
“I was! I am!” He interjected, desperate for her to know that this hasn’t been easy for him either
“You had a funny way of showing it.” she whispered
He closed his eyes at the shameful memory of something he wasn’t sure he’d ever forgive himself for. A few weeks after their split, he had finally finished his album. In that silence, he was faced with his decisions and the overwhelming heartbreak of that was too much for him to handle. So, with the help of Jeff, he used his considerable resources to gather a group of friends, which happened to include a few supermodels on a yacht in the Mediterranean Sea.
Pictures of him snuggling with one model in particular, hiding under a blanket with her, and her sitting in his lap had been plastered all over every newspaper, entertainment channel and social media for the world to see. Harry could only imagine what his former girlfriend thought of him after seeing those pictures.
“I guess I can’t blame you,” she sniffed, “We weren’t together. But I can’t sit here and tell you that it didn’t devastate me. You wanted to know what I thought and felt about everything that’s happened. There you go, Harry. I’m completely and utterly devastated.”
“I’m so sorry. That’s not enough, but I don’t even know what to say to make this up to you.”
She shrugged, “You were my best friend and I thought you were the love of my life. I used to think of you as someone who would never ever hurt me. You’re just a completely different person to me now.”
Harry finally lifted his head to meet her eyes. Seeing how broken and empty they were made him wonder if there was any way to truly fix this. He had pulverized her heart and maybe his penance for his sins was a life without her.

The Mail room- Stepping Stone to My Production Event Career
The first dark-haired actor to get a role in Hollywood was Frank Lingula, which finally broke the trend and opened opportunities for dark-haired actors, as well as actors over 6” tall. If you were too tall or had dark hair back then it was like wearing a pair of brown shoes with a black tuxedo. Also, most of the stars back then were very short in stature, so your height created problems in filming and selections of actors to appear with the stars. There were very few actors over 5‘10 “back then and I was 6’4”. I was constantly told that I was immensely talented, I just couldn’t personally communicate it well consistently.
So Bert Medcalf’s advice became my goal in my life, and I then started to achieve that goal. It’s at this point that I adopted my philosophy of becoming absolutely indispensable in any job I took from this point on, which I dedicated myself to doing. To say that I had a tremendous amount to learn would be an understatement. So to this end, I was successful in landing a job in the mailroom of the Greek Theater and the Huntington Hartford Theater (1,021 seats) at Hollywood and Vine and the Greek Theater (5,870 seats) on Vermont Avenue in Griffith Park in LA. It should be mentioned that the Huntington Hartford Theater is now called the Doolittle Theater.
When I started my job in the mail room I was to open the mail requiring tickets to the shows at the Huntington and Greek Theater; by their zip codes and addresses throughout Los Angeles and its adjoining cities and towns and then create a chart showing where the mail was coming from. So each morning when I came to work I opened the mail and created the chart. One of the newbies joked that the staff at the Greek loved to play on the new guy was the fact that Mr. Doolittle was totally color blind. Not knowing this, I created a chart that indicated every geographic location in a different color. So I walked into Mr. Doolittle’s office with my color chart and got told that it was the worst chart he had ever seen, and he basically almost fired me on my second day. After a proper chewing out I was told to go out and do it again. When I left his office, the staff had a great laugh at my expense. But they took me under their wings and showed me the ropes going forward and what to watch for with the boss to stay in favor. Well, the first thing I had to do was get back in favor. So I redid the chart and he was ultimately impressed and happy.
Every morning when I got to work I had about 2 hours to get the mail open and reviewed and charted, as Doolittle would call from home and ask what the report was. You had to get it right because he had the uncanny ability to remember past reports and question anything that didn’t seem in line with previous reports volume. So before you make your report you need to double-check not only that day’s but previous ones as well, The reason it was so important to Mr. Doolittle to know where the ticket sales where coming from geographically was to ascertain where the ticket sales were low, if he noticed that sales where slow in particular area’s i.e. African American, Hispanic and Asian he would instruct me to flood those neighborhoods with discounted tickets for a particular show to boost ticket sales in those zip code areas immediately. I would have to design and print discount coupons within days and hire teams to distribute them in those locations. Another thing he was really good at was each day going into the box office (especially the Greek Theater) and pull the ticket drawers for a particular show, looking at the current volume of unsold tickets and then he would predict the volume of sales going forward, to determine whether we should begin discounting tickets, for that show to ensure, or at least attempt, to increase ticket sales substantially.
One of the things Mr. Doolittle taught me was how to predict ticket sales by looking at the ticket drawers and predict future sales. He also taught me how to estimate how much revenue had been generated from the ticket sales on that day and how much revenue would be raised based on the volume at the point and based on current sales how much revenue would be raised going forward. I got very good at this, so much so that Doolittle would let me go into the box office and report back to him on what I saw and projected volume going forward. I was very quickly able to project advance ticket sales for a particular show, how many tickets were left to sell, how many had been sold by section.
The Greek had three sections A, B & C. You had to be able to report ticket sales by each section. I got so good at this I could predict sales within a couple of hundred dollars. Based on this learned ability I was promoted to Assistant General Manager of the Greek & Hunting Hartford Theaters. It should be noted that the reason I got so good at this was that I constantly volunteered to work in the box office every chance I got. So I studied the advance sales every time I volunteered and those who worked there were more than happy to have me be of help. I also regularly volunteered to work in the production department. I would help paint sets, unload trucks and anything else I could do to get to know everyone in the department and make sure they understood they could count on me when they needed help. One of my duties as the Assistant General Manager was to handle the Riders for the talent performing at the Greek and Hunting Hartford Theaters. I’m not sure why I got this responsibility, but I have to say it was the best thing that ever happened to me. I got to meet the stars and be available to handle any requests over and above what was in their contracts for them. Also part of my duties was the management and ticketing of the Orchestra Pit which was in front of the main stage and had about 30 seats. This was a goldmine for my department. And for that matter myself. Over time I worked with several Super Groups.
The Greek Theater was the first theater to present Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young (It was originally just Crosby, Stills & Nash, as Neil Young was added to the group after the original group was booked.) I got to know them and made sure they were pleased with the support the Greek provided them as required in their performance riders, I also got to work with Linda Ronstate, I remember her especially well as she always performed barefoot and we had to provide a Marley floor for her. At the time she was dating the Governor of California and she invited me to a party at his home which was incredible. Present was The Beach Boys, the Carpenters to name but a few. It was easy to get to know the performers, as all the groups would be performing for weeks at the theater. I also got to know everyone from Momma & Popa’s. We were also the first Amphitheatre to book Tom Jones in the USA. Also Engelbart Humperdinck. Both of these performers were managed by their manager Gordon Mills, who wrote most of their songs and wanted desperately to put together a tour for Tom Jones in America. Tom Jones name was Thomas Woodhard and Engelberts was Jerry Dorsey. So the theater got a very special price for both of them to perform at the Greek for a week. The theater booked them before anyone knew how huge he was to become, I remember Tom’s rider to this day as he loved beer and snacks. I can’t remember the brand of beer but we had to provide a minimum of 2 cases per show and I can attest that he drank both cases each performance. He also had a taste for women of color and we had quite a few in the Orchestra Pit. The deal we had with Tom was awfully good, as we had to renegotiate the agreement before the week was out. He sold out every night. The scalpers were getting rich on this show. Tom was a super guy and easy to work with. His show was the experience of a lifetime as he had incredible energy and by its end, he was exhausted. I never saw so much underwear being thrown up on the stage as I did during Tom’s show.
Because I had control of the seats in the Orchestra Pit I could do very well with those extra tickets. There wasn’t a day I wouldn’t get an offer I couldn’t refuse. I remember two women came into my office and told me that they would give me the night of my life for two tickets in the orchestra pit and a backstage pass. I never took them up on the night of my life even though I wanted to, I but did get them the seats and the backstage pass. They got to say hello to Tom but he wasn’t interested in anything other than that. My most memorable performer the Greek Theater booked every other year was Harry Belafonte, who sold out every show and did so within hours of our announcing his dates. I’ve got to say he was a great person. His shows always ended in standing ovations. Mr. Belafonte and his people were fabulous to work with. His road manager at the end of the show took all the crew to Vegas on Mr. Bellefonte’s plane as a thank you for everyone’s hard work in supporting the show.
Some of my fondest memories weren’t only meeting and working with the stage performers, but also many of the celebrities who would attend the shows. I remember the night in 1969 when the Apollo 11 landed on the moon. The offices at the Greek theater were filled with celebrities. The show at the theater that night was the “Grand Kabuki”. It was the first time the Emperor of Japan had allowed the show to be performed outside of Japan. The reason was the involvement of Raymond Burr, the star of Ironside and Perry Mason. Mr. Burr was the only American actor to become a Kabuki Dancer and a friend of the Emperor of Japan who he convinced to allow the show out of Japan. Also in the office was Gregory Peck and his wife, Robert Ryan and his wife as well and the Newmans.
Note Not sure about the Newmans being in attendance on this evening, I only remember there being at one of the shows and being entertained in the Greek offices. I was always introduced to and allowed to visit them as I was the one who would show them to their seats.

For Toddlers and Youngsters
Concept # 1: Teddy Bear/Stuffed Animal Celebration One of the most whimsical kids celebrations the children have actually ever gone to had been a Stuffed animal Bash. The birthday girl was turning 3, and all the guests were required to bring a popular bear or some other stuffed bear. We entered a fanciful setup inside family’s dining-room, where picnic blankets were set throughout the room each visitor experienced a comfy cushion waiting on to the floor with an all new stuffed bear good friend for each and every child. Your kids had actually reached choice cute clothing from your big picnic basket to wear their brand-new bears (discovered at a local craft shop), along with the whole party revolved around as much as possible stuffed bear. This included a sport of “hide and seek,” bear-themed coloring pages, in addition to a “pin the tail to the bear” game which the creative mother built from building and construction paper. A beautiful bear cake was served with gummy bears galore– and within 120 minutes, the party was over and everybody left pleased, full and carrying a whole new bear friend!
Idea # 2: Storybook Character Party Just, my 7-year-old daughter went along to an unique character celebration. The 10 kids (kids) who went to were instructed to come impersonated their preferred storybook characters. When all of the visitors got here, they played an individual game of “20 Concerns” to see each visitor’s literary identity. My child went as Fancy Nancy, and lots of with the other characters who got here were Harry Potter, Curious George, Willy Wonka and in some cases Junie B. Jones. Each of them have got to make book coats portraying their finest characters/stories out from journals purchased the dollar shop and covered with heavy-duty construction paper and stickers. These appearances like their own books!
The host took photos of the child, which are glued for the back covers from the books having an adorable bio featuring highlights about each “author.” My child’s read: Annie Butler, Grade 2, is crazy in love with every product and component fancy. She’s the youngest sister of five bros along with sis and enjoys to embellish her space with posters of Fancy Nancy. When she’s not checking out, you can get her while in the gymnastic studio or messing with her Pomeranian young puppy, Gracie.”
In addition, the host asked each child to bring a couple of the used books and in addition they held the sunday paper exchange throughout the enjoyable. Each child utilizing a custom handcrafted book and a minimum of 2 books with the book exchange.
Concept # 3: Chocolate-Making Party A lot of kids delight in making deals with. One such and easy reward to produce is chocolate. You can get a number of fun, lively molds and chocolate melt tastes inside craft shop. Melt the chocolate from the microwave and kids can pour the gooey goodness to the molds and find as imaginative as they rather just (or you!) want with designs in addition to lollipop sticks. The molds set rapidly inside the refrigerator or freezer, and clean-up is simple in the event you put wax paper on your kitchen area island or some other work location that you chose.
Idea # 4: Backyard Carnival This principle requires a little more work, but if you get this remarkable yard, or merely a large garage, and will spend a couple weeks preparing and developing some cool video games, this is often a frugal alternative for going to a bowling alley, gymnastic studio and other expensive venue where kids get to be active. We did this for your 10-year-old child a short while earlier plus it would be a success.
A few of the games we produced for the carnival included a miniature golf course, an engagement ring toss on soda bottles (which we filled with water and food coloring to ensure they are joyful), a beanbag toss that a lot of us constructed and painted utilizing large appliance boxes– so we even stood a cotton sweet and popcorn stand. We had a tattoo station, face painting and balloons. Prizes were offered too, and these were integrating buy from thrift shops, the dollar shop, the celebration shop, and numerous sale items I had actually assembled found in my weekly shopping. This party took us a number of weeks of planning, nonetheless it was worth it.
Idea # 5: Craft Celebration Many tween ladies enjoy to develop things. Channel that interest in a craft-themed celebration. Buy some unfinished items for example wooden trinket boxes, unpainted pottery, T-shirts, picture frames and bags. Guarantee they’re as plain as is possible so they make for a wonderful blank slate. Present the partiers by fabric, paints, sparkles, glue, markers as well as any other knick knacks, and permit them to go to town.
Decoupage can be a terrific method to develop one-of-a-kind designs for ladies’ bed rooms. Get concepts from your kid products she’s passionate about, and for that reason the two of you can invest quality time together looking for the important things you might require. The monetary dedication to get a craft celebration is rather minimal– products of fabrics, shine, paints, mirrors and other such product is pretty cheap. So that you will not spend a lot, although the kids leaves the celebration with a gift how they produced in their distinct private design.
Idea # 6: Scavenger Hunt A scavenger hunt is amongst the most exhilarating celebrations for the kids of all ages. The technique is to get some believed to the belongings you will be concealing and, not remarkably, develop the tricky ideas that occur to be and a large number in the draw! My 13-year-old son went to a scavenger hunt celebration at the beach recently. Each child got a note inside a bottle (water bottles were made use of and loaded with confetti include them as actually colorful) each kid a different poem with ideas.
They worked resistant to the clock to find who would try to find the buried treasure (it actually was a tin box that contained movie tickets, present certificates to the local pizza place plus some books and board video games). Every kid had actually been a winner since there were a great offer of rewards that can be found over the lifetime of the scavenger hunt. However the main treasure was simply found by one child. Your offspring loved it as it was certainly a bit competitive, just about all got ridiculous and interesting so they can see who could decide the hints.
Those are only a few of the numerous terrific party ideas for a strict budget plan. A number of other medication is indoor camping celebrations, cooking celebrations, scrapbooking parties or stewardship celebrations where kids invest the spinal column on the party gathering items for a food pantry or setting up a thoughtful craft for individuals for a regional care house.
And bear in mind that sometimes less is certainly more. Kids don’t require a costly celebration or maybe whole park of untamed animals. Exactly what they prefer is constantly to view as well as their pals doing something fun.
