Happy New Year! I think my goal for this year for this blog will be to try to catch up to at least the beginning of the current arc, if not with the manga as a whole. I’ve got 365 days and a bit shy of 300 chapters (not counting those that will go up this year) so… we’ll see! Gotta Plus Ultra everything, right? 

(Of course, that doesn’t account for all the chapters I’m likely to break into multiple parts, like this one… alas, I will just simply see how far I can get.)

[No. 9 - Deku vs. Kacchan]

Starting this chapter off with another western-style comic book cover, with the two coming to blows in costume. Really contrasts when you think of DvK2, which happens out of costume but yet someone comes off as more intense/important to both of them… I wonder what DvK3 will look like?

The chapter itself starts with future Izuku narrating a bit of backstory - that he and Katsuki had grown up in the same neighborhood, so they were childhood friends. He considered Katsuki the fearless type who could do anything, thus becoming the leader of their small gang of friends, and that at the time he wasn’t ‘bad’ or ‘good, just confident, which Izuku admired. However, with Katsuki’s quirk came his slide towards ‘bad’, and the page (and flashback) ends with Izuku echoing the words from the very start of the manga - people are not born equal, a lesson he learned at four.

(As an aside, I really like how the flashback segments are sprinkled through the chapter and slowly add onto the context behind their relationship instead of being shown all at once. It’s better pacing and doesn’t interrupt the flow of the present fight.)

We transition back to the present, with the same moment of Katsuki claiming that Izuku’s defiance even while scared pisses him off as we ended off with in the last chapter. Also, Ochako right behind Katsuki, that was a lost opportunity to attack, even if it wouldn’t have worked. I suppose it was part of Izuku’s plan, but still…

Tenya tries to get Katsuki to give him an update, but Katsuki just tells him to shut up and keep watch while Katsuki wrecks ‘someone’ (cough Izuku). Tenya tries to warn Katsuki to not let emotions get the better of him, only to be frustrated when Katsuki cuts the transceiver, calling him a scoundrel. 

Honestly, this is really fucking hilarious considering a few dozen chapters from now is basically:

Tensei: is injured

Tenya: (✿◉‿◉)🔪

Moving on, we switch back to the viewing room, with Kirishima asking about the lack of sound from the cameras. All Might notes they’re communicating with micro-transceivers given to them along with the blueprints and capture tape - the latter of which is used to provide proof of ‘capture’ when tied around the opponent. Kirishima then goes on to ask/clarify that the heroes only have fifteen minutes but no idea where the weapon is located, which All Might confirms. Mina (finally looking as she should) notes that the heroes are at a disadvantage, and All Might tells them it’s like Aizawa said, and leads them through the school motto - Plus Ultra!

Honest to god, what support company willingly made this? Why did they not just dumpster it as an affront to God and make something normal??

Anyways, Aoyama is the one to first notice whatever Katsuki is doing, and All Might turns back to the monitors to watch as well. And so we switch back to inside the building, with Katsuki blasting himself at Izuku. Izuku tells Ochako to run ahead while blocking an explosion-boosted kick to the head. Ochako does so despite her obvious worry for Izuku, and Katsuki ignores her entirely, telling Izuku to worry about himself. Katsuki then gets a moment of shock when Izuku turns out to have used the capture tape to catch Katsuki’s leg before he could pull it away.

Notebook no. 10… we have no idea when he started them, but based on the average time of a notebook being a few months shy of a year, this would likely have been either his last year of elementary or first year of middle school (about age 11/12), so… Izuku has known Eraserhead for quite a while - perhaps in a desperate search for heroes who fought ‘quirkless’ or ‘almost quirkless’? Sadly, I can't make out the text on the page, though I know there’s translations out there that I just have no idea how to locate at the moment… alas.

But yeah, Izuku predicts Katsuki’s next move, and takes advantage of that knowledge to dodge under the next blast without injury. The rest of the class is impressed with Izuku’s ability to go toe-to-toe against the entrance exam’s top scorer without his quirk, while Katsuki keeps getting shocked at Izuku’s moves. 

All Might notes that Izuku has always excelled at making split-second decisions, and also his thorough memorization of all the hero-related things he’s been writing in his notebooks - with a short flashback to All Might reading through the notebook while Izuku had been unconscious after being attacked by the Sludge Villain!

Izuku is frustrated, thinking that he had Katsuki, but that one rope wouldn’t be enough to hold him. He thinks about how Toshinori told him he could be a hero, and that with all that support behind him, it was time to show what he was made of. 

...and then he immediately bolts around a corner, with Katsuki snapping at Izuku to get back, and then going on to shout about how it ‘must have been fun tricking Katsuki all this time’ and ‘hiding that flashy quirk of his’. Izuku’s expression at that is, according to the discord (because I can’t quite tell myself) frustration, but it might also be a bit of sadness as well? 

Katsuki finishes his complaints / telling with more explosions and shouting how Izuku should ‘bring it on’ and that he’d still crush him. With the class, Kaminari notes how angry Katsuki is and that it’s scary. All Might himself…

Wow. Why do people in this fandom think Izuku is way too nice and forgiving of Katsuki when we get moments like this?

Fanon Izuku 1: Kacchan has done nothing wrong ever in his entire life

Fanon Izuku 2: Bakugou is a horrible human being who should never have been allowed to be a hero

Canon Izuku: Kacchan is actually a bitch, but damn do I admire his confidence and skill

Also, we see you there Nerd Might:

We come back to Izuku crouched down by a corner somewhere, panting a bit as he analyses the situation. He notes how Katsuki came right for him and ignored Ochako, and that the smart play for the villain team would have been for Tenya to be the vanguard because of his superior mobility and speed. Since he bets Tenya also knows that, this is probably Katsuki rampaging on his own, so there’s no teamwork happening. We then get a lovely mental image while Izku notes that if both of them had come at the hero team from the start, it would have been really hard to win. He also notes that sticking with Ochako would have likely led to that two on two situation, with him and Ochako wasting too much time on Katsuki, but with them split up, they have a stronger chance since she can go after the weapon and capture Tenya. If he can just follow after her, it’ll be a two on one fight against him, meaning they’ll win! 

...so long as Izuku can win against Katsuki. He wipes at the small amount of blood trickling from his nose, telling himself he’ll be fine so long as he watches out for Katsuki’s palms. He thinks back on the past, where he’d told Katsuki he wasn’t trying to compete with him, and says in the present that he takes it all back. 

Since the next couple of pages are the flashback portions on Katsuki’s end, I am gonna cut it off here, because those deserve their own post.

*Quietly chants “soft Fyodor, soft Fyodor, soft Fyodor!”*

Also I hope it’s okay that I made the two daughters twins!

And I’m really sorry if these aren’t the best because I’m still getting the hang of doing HCs and Fyodor is one of these characters that I’ll write for while still being a bit unsure of his character... So I’m sorry for any OOCness, if it’s not fluffy enough or just not good altogether T_T There’s some fluffy bits but still if they you can always come back and request again!

~~~ Fyodor & a F!S/O w/ Twin Daughters

First and foremost - Fyodor had little to no plans to start a family with you. Not because he didn’t love you, but more so because he’s a busy man with his ‘purging of ability users’ plan

Though the day that you told him you were pregnant a new feeling blossomed in his chest

It wasn’t anything grand but he felt a twinge of happiness mixed with some form of pride as the smallest of smiles graced his face

Not a sadistic smirk or a teasing smile but a real one

Dare we say, he may have been excited for what was to come.

Planting a soft kiss on your lips he uttered a “what a pleasant surprise” before going on with his day, you doing the same

And for the next little while nothing changed in your daily routine, almost like he was never told that he’s got a baby on the way

You knew better, this was just how Fyodor was 

Really though he’s working from the shadows and making sure you stay safe, ranging from sending out one of his men to watch over you anytime you go out to just out right eliminating potential threats that are spotted

Fyodor also (subtly) spends just a little less time on his computer as well

A little more than half way through the pregnancy, when a bump has appeared, you two were in bed, back to back and your hand was on your stomach 

Then you felt it

“Fyo!” you called his name, voice a whisper in the dead of night as you sat up. He hummed, turning over to face you, “give me your hand” watching silently as you guided his palm to where yours was just a few seconds ago, Fyodor waited for something to happen.  

And then he too felt it - a strong kick

“It means he’s healthy” he told you simply, looking up into your shining eyes. Oh he’ll never forgot the way you looked that night with a smile that lit up the dark room spread across your face

When the due date drew near, it’s in his best interest when he tells you that he wants you to stay in the house less anything happen to you or the babies

Right - oh you should’ve seen the momentary (and I mean momentary) wide-eyed, shocked look on his face when he was told that he wasn’t going to have one kid but two - both of them being girls too!

When the two little bundles are born surprisingly Fyodor is the one that takes care of them quite a few times when one or both start to cry at ungodly hours of the night

Usually he’ll tell you that you can go back to bed and that he’ll calm them down since he’s up and awake anyway, allowing you the much needed sleep.  

Another surprise? Fyodor can calm his daughters easily. You’ve chalked it up to it being the slightly serene and calming aura he gives off. It’s a trait you’re very thankful for in these situations

During the times that he might be just lounging on the couch (assuming he does such a thing from time to time) Fyodor will let one or both of his daughters sleep on his chest (if he can manage)

When they’re a little bit older Fyo’s a fan of having them sat on his lap while he works at his computer, humming and gazing down at them if they want his attention

You once told him off for having them near a screen so much and so close too, claiming that it’ll damage their eyes

As a form of affection/praise Fyo tends to pat their heads a lot

Is the absolute king at not giving into their puppy dog eyes or pleading smiles 

They want sweets before dinner or want to stay up past their bedtime? Hahaha nope~

He might even tease them with this too. Like he’ll act like he’s thinking about saying yes then go and plainly say no with a teasing smile or something along those lines 

Something he does let them get away with though is wearing his ushanka

Just the mere sight of one of his little girls enjoying wearing it has his a tiny smile emerging and lavender coloured eyes softening the slightest, appearing almost relaxed

That was until both his daughters began to fight over who go to wear it and you and Fyo had to go and buy them their own

MEANING THAT THEY NOW MATCH AND IT’S THE CUTEST THING EVER! 

You’ve tried to sneak a picture but Fyodor never gives you an opening T_T

100% plays the cello for them as a form of entertainment or as a lullaby on nights when neither of them can fall asleep

Also might teach them how to play the instrument if they show any interest in it

Can also teach them skills that he thinks will help them in the world they live in, like how to catch someone in a lie or how to outsmart them

Concerning his... occupation in the underworld, Fyodor doesn’t outright expose them to it, but also doesn’t make a huge effort to shield his daughters from it either

However, that in no way means that if anyone, anyone thinks it’s a good idea to lay a single finger on his family that he’ll let them get away with it.

Lets just say that they won’t escape without proper punishment 

I believe that Fyodor is the kind of dad to allow his kids to roam free, they can do nearly anything they please of their own free will (if that makes sense). 

Like they can go anywhere they’d want to when they’re older, they can have whatever hobbies they please and Fyodor wouldn’t mind what it is

But! That excludes his daughters finding a s/o - perish the thought entirely 

Even if they do get one expect them to have a very thorough background check done on them. Fyodor will know everything about them to ensure his little girls are safe

And if he finds even one thing wrong or believes that this s/o is just using his kid? Someone’s getting a visit from Mr. Rat Man (and no likes when that happens)

Bottom line Fyodor is a relatively mellow dad that will tease his daughters but still be there to comfort them (like the lullaby bit) and try to keep them safe in his own Fyodor Dostoevsky way

Hello! I wonder if you have any headcanons about Zennezu wedding's night! It doesn't need to be NSFW if you don't want to, just thoughts about their feelings and how they enjoyed it! Also I think Zenitsu found out Nezuko was pregnant before she even did because he could hear the baby's heartbeat with his sharp hearing. I'm sure he was overjoyed when he told her and she quickly joined him in his happiness!! Thanks so much for taking requests, Zennezu is my OTP and I love them so much!! 💛💗⚡🌸

If there’s one thing Zenitsu’s really good at, its preparation. That’s why he made sure that their honeymoon will be perfect for Nezuko-chan

He booked the best room in one of the best ryokan in possibly the most scenic onsen

In their room, he asked several varieties of sushi and unagi to be served for dinner, just as he promised her

When the night went deeper, the two separated for a while for a nice warm bath at the onsen

Zenitsu was meticulous in choosing this place and it definitely showed when Nezuko didn’t only enjoy her bath but also the view

The view of the open-air bath was the majestic Mt. Fuji under the moonlight

Happiness didn’t leave her face as she was overwhelmed with everything

But her face turned red when she remembered what’s about to happen next

Nervous, she opened the door to their room and saw Zenitsu waiting for her.

His face was equally as red, but it wasn’t so apparent with only the moon and a candle lighting up the room  

Not one of them even spoke any word. They both sat in front of each other staring at their own laps.

Zenitsu couldn’t handle the loud beating of his heart

“N-Nezuko-chan…” He stuttered with a low voice as he reached out for her

Nezuko was dying inside from anticipation and nervousness

Her husband’s serious face and tone weren’t helping at all. He even made her chest pound harder

She thought that he was so manly and prepared so she mustn’t disappoint him

Deep inside though, Zenitsu’s just one cherry boy acting like he got this together

He shut his eyes firmly and scolded himself to be a man!

Gently, he hovered her and pinned her down on the futon

Seeing her embarrassed face…she was just so vulnerable, so flushed and so his

He couldn’t handle this fact as his anxiety drummed even heavier

Reluctantly, he dropped the tough guy act and trembled a little, “Nezuko-chaaan!”

Zenitsu hugged Nezuko and hid his face at the nook of her neck

Nezuko was puzzled for a while then she laughed at the realization that the two of them were just as nervous to do this

“This is embarrassing, but my heart just couldn’t handle everything, Nezuko-chan!” Zenitsu professed in Nezuko’s arms as she returns his hug. “I just - I just couldn’t believe this is happening to me and you’re just so perfect, so beautiful more than I can imagine that I really cannot help it!”

Closing her eyes, she tightened her embrace on him. His admission made her feel more at ease, because she no longer feel alone

She had Zenitsu, her husband, and they both were feeling the same thing at this very moment

Nezuko couldn’t help but think to herself how lucky she was to have Zenitsu in her life

Yes, he could be boisterous at times and may have the tendency to cry all over the place but he was attentive, caring and responsible

All Zenitsu needed was motivation - someone whom he can pour all his efforts, dreams and affection

When he finally found that someone, he was just the best person to rely on, because he never stopped to be the best and to be the ideal

And that dedication was what made Nezuko fall for him genuinely

“I-I’m sorry, Nezuko-chan! I’m crying again.” Zenitsu said as he raised his head but he was met with Nezuko crying as well

“Zenitsu, I love you.”

He was slightly taken aback by the suddenness and sincerity in her words

He searched for her eyes and his heart felt heavy, really heavy with all the warm emotions and the right reasons

Zenitsu smiled at her and rested his forehead on hers, “I love you too, my wife.”

Right there and then, under the moonlight of the most romantic night in Japan, they kissed

Tentatively, innocently until passionately

His hand started roaming on the bare flesh of her thigh, sliding her yukata as she was equally busy savouring the warmth of his deep kisses

Then he went down to shower kisses on her neck

His name escaped her lips, fingers laced on his blonde strands when he started nipping on her collarbone

Until he went lower and lower that the way he tasted her made her moan and whimper uncontrollably

She gripped the fabric of their futon, overpowered with sensations

“Nezuko…” Zenitsu muttered, asking for permission and Nezuko slowly nodded her head to grant him

Careful, gentle and almost methodical, he eased into her with their fingers laced together

She called out his name as she felt him with slight pain and satisfaction

Her grip on him tightening as everything got more intense

His grunts sounded like a thunder getting her lost in the moment

While his name rang around the room when she called out on him with his every prod

Lovingly, he kissed her to muffle her cry as they both let go

Zenitsu kissed Nezuko’s forehead while they heavily breathed

He laid his still limp body on top of her and never she rested her head on the crook of his neck

He never stopped peppering her with little kisses at the top of her head until they both came back from their high

Realizing what had happened, they tightened their embrace on each other and a small smile formed on their faces
