The fact that in the cruise ctrl universe the US government is currently shitting themselves because by using the Asteroid Exploder instead of letting other countries use the Asteroid Interceptor there's now a bunch of rocks in orbit and they've taken out the satellite communication system is so funny to me because like. They would fucking do that. There's a (more modern) Asteroid Exploder program in real life.
