it’s so obvious when a motogp journalist comes up with an interpretation or narrative framework for an athlete and then when said athlete operates outside of that framework or contradicts it with their words and actions as all multidimensional humans are wont to do, they just refuse to adjust their opinion on the rider like whatsoever. fully digs in their heels and refuses to see the total of all evidence around them. head in the sand. and yes this post is on some level about simon p’s continued misevaluation of pedro acosta but also in a very real sense it’s about how mat oxley cannot stop comparing marc and pecco to aryton senna and alain prost and it’s driving me crazy.
