Here's mine!

Rook: Juniper Aldwir, a dalish elf mage, I mostly went for the direct/aggressive dialogue options with a few of the more positive/nicer or joke-y options in companion convos. I went with the spellblade specialization and ended up loving it after a rough mage start. I also played arcane warrior/knight enchanter my first DAO and DAI runs though so. lmao. i have a type.

Faction: Veil jumpers! How could I not go with the scientific study of weird magic group... I've decided she's more on the geography and cartography side of the profession rather than mechanics/tinkering like Bellara, which is why she's not the one fixing the broken objects you encounter herself. I imagine she's the one drawing maps of all the places you go, making notes of interesting landmarks/items, etc. the crossroads drives her insane (bc it drives ME insane) because of the weird half reality half fade logic to the locations, travel, etc.

Companions/NPCs: My go to companion squad was Lucanis and Davrin or Taash for the best combos/fighting, and Emmrich because I enjoyed his comments/character a lot too. NPC wise, of course finally seeing FELASSAN!!! was great and he got so much more content and dialogue than I expected. was cheering every time i found another codex entry from him, and the Betrayal fight ruled. otherwise, like most everyone else i LOOOOVEEEE Teai & Viagos Divorced Energy... i'm obsessed. And then Antoine & Evka for actually wholesome, and Vorgoth bc idk wtf is up there but its sexy. but also THE CARETAKER what IS it... i have so many questions... that i will be filling in with weird headcanons probably. I also liked listening in on the two fledgling crows on the balcony who have a ton of unique banters, and a couple other npc banter points idk how to describe lmao. Some of the spirit ones in the crossroads I wish we got more of.

Romance: Lucanis my BELOVED obviously i am doing... an insane amount of lucanisposting lately... yeah I've got the full brainworms. even though the game itself was lacking in content my neurons are instead working overtime to try to fill in everything the game left out

Major decisions: I saved Treviso because Minrathous JUST had its turn being saved, shouldn't they like??? be mobilizing the ARMY they actually have over there by now??? they should have been better prepared idk what else to say. insane it got hit a 3rd time at the end anyway so i stand by my choice in picking Antiva. As for the companion endings, I felt most didn't really make a difference to me, with the exception of Emmrich. I kept manfred on this run becuase I was NOT ready to say goodbye to my gentle skeleton son 😭 next game i will romance Emmrich and make him a lich tho. As for the ending... I sent Harding to lead the second squad and Neve was the one who got mirror-kidnapped. Whcih did leave for an absolutely devastating post-Nightmare-In-Dreamland fade sequence where Rook suddenly had NONE of the companions she started the game with. Getting hit with losing Harding, losing Neve, and then the realization that Varric had been dead the whole time definitely makes for some angsty roleplay opportunity, though I do wanna replay it with Bellara in the final position just so I can watch her stand up to the gods, because i think that'd be pretty great. Ending-wise: I'm a Solavellan fool who's been pining for a real life decade now almost so I of course went for that lmao. I will play through all the other options just for the drama of it all, and probably come up with some adjusted exact sequence for how things go as a headcanon, but yeah.

Reader just comes close to their space and sees if they're doing good. Then it evolves to asking about their day and about the world of TW to make convo. Then it turns to a friendship where Reader commends them for doing things beneficial and good for themselves in the day, then tells them "Good boy/good job!" at even the smallest things when they take care of themselves without Reader's help (beast tamer Yuu awakening)

Reader gives them a braided bracelet made by themself and they cherish it. But then one day the Vice/Other dorm leader notices the bracelet and goes "Ah, so you're officially part of the harem"

The look in your eyes was so heartfelt that Vil worried he'd tear up just from looking at it. 

"I'll keep that in mind, thank you."

Not that you'd ever know how raw you'd made him feel. Perhaps he was still too weak from his incident. It didn't matter. He was as composed and calm as ever.

A braided bracelet didn't exactly fit his wardrobe. But the next morning, his hand hovered over it, hesitating about not wearing it. So he slipped it on. His gut was never wrong, and it was telling him to wear it. Besides, his sleeves would cover it.

Green is not okay. I think he hasn't been for a really long time,

ngl that whole arc hits really close to home ; i've been a people pleaser for a really long time ( ever since i was younger ) - craving for validation , to feel accepted by other people because i've always just felt brushed off ; feeling good enough for myself didn't feel good enough by itself , so i was yearning for other people's validation / to feel good enough for someone ( various someones - because even just for one single someone , it didn't feel enough for me ) because feeling good enough for myself wasn't what i felt like i needed

being a people-pleaser usually means you don't feel enough for yourself ; nothing you do makes you feel like it's good enough , so you often finds yourself searching for other people's opinions on your client , devouring every single view people have upon yourself like a delicious ( but uneasy ) meal.

it's so yummy , you just can't help but consume more of its' meal , swallowing it all until there is nothing left and then you have to make another meal ( = do even more things just to please people )

The way Green, at the start of this arc, was so quick to feel so incredibly drawn by one single comment that complimented one of his videos - he was so quick to become influenced ( lol ) by one. single. compliment.

this whole thing makes me think Green hasn't felt enough for himself , or for anyone at all , for a really long time

<- being a people-pleaser , it is not a selfless act nor is it a healthy coping mechanism -> as much as you try to please others , you're only doing it to feel enough , and not out of actual genuine good desire = it's an unintentional selfish act , where all you do is to please others just to feel good about yourself.

The appetite of a people's pleaser is consuming more than what they should consume , and that can be really self-destructive but no matter how full they actually are , they are always left starving for more .

What makes it worse , is that Green is becoming influenced by Youtube.

Youtube is a drug. Not in a literal way, but rather in a way that feels like a drug. The moment you become an influencer there, it's when all have a very high percentage of going absolutely downhill.

So many people like you. There are so many compliments. So many likes, so many views - How do you feel about it? Green felt uneasily great, for sure.

Being swarmed by compliments from left to right feels so incredibly great, but craving for more of it instead of just letting it be as it is can just feel so sickly sweet.

I love this arc and I love the way they are handling it all with so much precise and accuracy. Green needs this character development - Not only him, but the gang needs to see the harm they've caused aswell. ( Come on … Destroying his buildings? Joining the silverfishes who were ruining his concert? Bob? What did they expect????????? They deeply care for him , I know , and it all of those moments were never meant to be taken all that seriously - but the way Green was always treated like a punching bag just rubs me so off . )

i love this scene so much ... not only because it's the first time we ever seen a creation&creator actually wholesome moment in this series , but also because it very much may symbolizes green embracing his flaws .

green has always been a perfeccionist. an arrogant , cocky , proud perfeccionist . paying attention to even the slightest , quite irrelevant , details . <- a perfeccionist is someone who raises their standards too high for themselves : a perfeccionist's view on their own creation has to be perfect , not only for themselves , but to everyone else around them .

high expectations , raised standards , not giving a single mistake a chance to even be seen . it has to be perfect , no matter how unrealistic and irrational that thought may be .

( maybe this is one of the reasons why green is so observant . he always notices something different with the others , because he's used to notice even the slightest details ; the tiny imperfections ; that may make him so desperate to fix . )

.. avm <- episode 35 is a nice example of that ; truth be told , green was completely justified in this episode . i , personally , never had a concert to prepare , but i do know for sure that these kind of things take time and a lot of effort . too much to prepare , so much anxiety-inducing to deal with , lots of scrapped and risked previous plans and notes for the concert , so much mistakes being made along the way , so much training for everything to be perfect ...

only for it all to go to waste.

and for a perfeccionist such as green? bro, how fucking devasted he must have felt after that .

the audience clapped and whistled audibly , but none of them was for him .

one difference between the gang and green when it comes to acchievements , is that the gang mainly focuses on having fun ; they weren't trying to mess up the concert on purpose , nor did they wanted to brush away green's acchievements

they just wanted to have fun . red even invited green to join in on their little band they've made ( aka, which was mainly to distract the silverfishes , to keep them away from green ; bro was getting swarmed and they tried their best to keep the audience unaware of the real problem , while also giving green time to save the concert )

back on the build battle episodes ... them immediately exploding green's buildings was kind of a jerk move , and honestly take what i'm saying with a grain of salt because this is mostly just speculation , but I do remember an user theorizing that ; the reason why the gang always exploded green's buildings , was because he always won and was always pretty cocky about it .

does it justify it ? absolutely not . they could have just talked it out instead , honestly .

.. talking about 'talk it out' ... for a tight-knit group according to green , they definitely do not have very good communication skills between each other , for sure .

I mean- lush caves happened because neither orange nor red talked about the kind of issues they had with each other . they suppressed everything , which eventually led to a very heated fight between them . which could have led to the end of their friendship .

ghosty pointed out how this lack of communication between them , could have been one of the reasons why green was so .. quick to get influenced ( lol ) by what an unknown public full of strangers had to say about him .

it usually takes some time , maybe some more compliments and likes , but ; for green , it took only one comment for him to get absolutely obsessed with more

mayhaps he didn't told any of them about the issues he's had . maybe if blue told them about the lava incident , green wouldn't have made the lava prank . maybe if orange and red talked about the issues about each other that bothered one another , lush caves wouldn't have happened . maybe if green talked about his validation-seeking issue , the arc could have gone a different path .

also , is it just me and ghosty who finds it strange how green didn't even made a single video of him playing noteblocks? making music? isn't that his literal passion ...? why wouldn't he make a video about that , lol .. ?

green doesn't aknowledge greenscreen as someone . on green's perspective , we can only see the evil greenscreen , who attacked them out of nowhere , and is currently trapping his friends on the bottom corner of the computer <- all we see is an evil villain , heartless monster ; an imperfect , flawed beast .

a mistake is all green sees . a beast is all greenscreen is .

.. it was not until he had to choose between saving his friends , or let his fear of what others may think win , that he finally aknowledged them . that he finally realized what greenscreen truly is . what greenscreen actually wanted from the very start .

• Sharky could hide his feelings perfectly, but the thing is, does he want to? No. He’d tease the fact he likes you and even occasionally flirt with you, then nonchalantly play it off as a joke.

• He doesn’t get too comfortable with you immediately, instead just trying to notice and pick up on whether you feel the same, but he’d be super friendly with you. ( even more than friendly )

• He’d compliment you all the time, seeing you blush and smile while giggling at his remarks only makes it harder for him to hide his feelings, but he still does it.

• Asking you out he’d do it slowly, and subtlety. Easing you into it before he drops the big question by his remarkable charm, and of course good looks.

hey hey! its one of your readers on ao3 i realized i can ask questions on tumblr so i am trying it out. this may be a controversial question as opinions vary greatly from person to person lool but i am curious being a fellow fan of aot and a fan of your work, so, what did you think about the ending to aot? 👀

(personally i subscribe to a specific fan theory (NOT ANR GOD FORBID i rebuke it!) to keep hope alive in my heart that theres more aot to come cause i did not like the ending much so basically, theres no judgement from me srsly im delulu myself as it stands 😭💯)

Ahh yes the ending opinions where swords are drawn two minutes into the debate lol and it’s annoying that people can’t state their thoughts as freely because of the toxicity from every side. This is going to be long I’m sorry😭

I personally didn’t like the ending that much either. I don’t think it’s as bad as people make it out to be, I mean we’ve all seen GoT, but I know a story like AoT could’ve done a little bit better than that, so. It’s not that I wanted Eren to live happily ever after, because his death made the most sense even before I knew about it, but it’s the execution of the episode in general that makes it feel rushed for me.

Mikasa killing him is a beautifully tragic twist, I started bawling my eyes out right there, but I wish the cabin scene was done differently. For me it didn’t feel as raw and honest as the Eren-Armin convo, which I’m not the biggest fan of either, but I’ve always wanted more communication for Eremika so maybe that makes me bitter. Let me see them talk about the table scene and let me see Eren apologise to her. It’s their last moment together, I wanted to see more emotion and honesty rather than an already established relationship that they did off camera. I get what it’s trying to show, and the scene itself is not bad, but I was just a big EM shipper at the time and hoped for more. (I felt the same back when he told her he would wrap that scarf around her forever and always. It hit me just in the right place I remember wanting them to talk about it afterwards but nothing was said.) Same with the memories he gave back to his friends, I’d have liked to see them talk. Him opening his eyes one last time to see her was beautiful no comment there.

Other than that I also LOVED when Levi saluted his friends and comrades! Liked his internal monologue where he said he didn’t regret not bringing Erwin back (Which also made me wish we could’ve seen Armin coming up with impressive strategies and ideas like he used to.)

I liked how Hange was sent off, but I missed them in the final fight.

I really liked the rumbling montage with Guilty Hero playing and Armin’s VA pouring her heart out + that cry at the end when Armin sees Eren. The Levi&Mikasa team-up/final stand was amazing. Those were all done nicely, but that’s pretty much it for me.

For some reason I wasn’t vibing with Annie. I mean she was never my fav but her in season one and in her ova was so much more interesting to me.

I was left underwhelmed by the final fight considering we’ve had great battles like RTS and Liberio previously, it does not compare in my opinion. I understand that Eren won’t kill his friends and I definitely agree with that, but something else could’ve been done with Ymir to make the stakes higher. The ancient titans didn’t feel threatening when you just knew no one was going to die, especially when Falco (first time flying) could dodge all of their arrows.

When everyone there turned into titans, like Jean and Connie, I would’ve preferred if they stayed titans and died when the curse ended. Bringing them back a few minutes later is just meh for me, and makes the emotions I’ve felt a one time thing only because that Jean&Connie dialogue didn’t hit the same afterwards. Not to mention that Connie’s mom was brought back only for us to not see their reunion lol.

Ymir’s storyline was interesting when Eren saw her memories, but after that she lost me a bit. I also don’t like that that *chef’s kiss* scene with Eren telling her she’s just a person didn’t free her at all, that killing Zeke stopped the Rumbling, that Levi was nerfed for the sake of the fight. If all these decisions were done in a slightly expanded time period, I don’t think I would’ve minded much. Especially the final episode itself was, again, rushed in my opinion.

Also, this isn’t just the finale but Historia being sidelined like that is a no-no for me. Not a fan of how the Hizuru-Mikasa plot line didn’t go anywhere either. That may just be nitpicking, but again I do believe season 4 should’ve been longer, maybe with a season 5 as well.

With all that being said, these are just my personal opinions/feelings and despite all, thematically the author did a good job wrapping everything up. Ending a story like AoT couldn’t have been easy at all. Watching it was an experience I don’t think I’ll ever forget or get over and I’m forever going to miss it. (I’m reading the manga now and the uprising arc has me hooked since it’s a bit different from the anime, and dare I say better?)

The ending didn’t ruin it for me or anything, just sad that I won’t get to see the things I wanted to see because naturally everyone has their own expectations, but what are fanfictions for?

What’s the fan theory that you believe? Other than that ANR I’ve heard about the mist and ouroboros but I’ve never read them in detail.

How ZZH's Instagram account was compromised

aka the question that's been plaguing us all since last year. But now we have enough info to put together a theory. (As always all this info is thanks to the hard work of QV and her friends. I'm just compiling)

During 813, Xie Yihua's son, Abner, said in a comment on Bilibili that ZZH's instagram account isn't actually his. It was set up by staff when ZZH was still under the management of his former boss, Yu Zheng, and that the phone number that was registered to the account doesn't belong to ZZH.

This means whoever has access to the actual phone number can reset the password and take control of the account.

Also how on earth did Abner know the details of the IG's account's security (or lack thereof)? Did his mother tell him? We already know Xie Yihua is ZSJ's handler.

On June 2020, ZZH posted on his IG after months of inactivity, and in the comments section he thanked a woman named Virginia. We can infer from their convo that he had lost access to the account sometime ago and that this Virginia helped him gain access again.

Based on ZZH's IG activity, he did stop posting for a few months and only started posted there again when he started filming WOH. That's when he thanked this Virginia person.

There's an interesting comment under Flora's tweet saying that when they first read this, their interpretation was that this Virginia helped ZZH gain access to his account by setting up a VPN for him. And I was the same. That's also how I initially interpreted it, that ZZH wasn't able to access his IG because of the Great Firewall. But with all the info that has come to light, it looks more like ZZH was unable to access it because it was set up by someone else, with a number that didn't belong to him. And Virginia probably helped him by contacting whoever it was that had access to the account in Yu Zheng's management.

So if all this time ZZH's IG account was under the control of someone from Yu Zheng's studio, how did it wind up in the hands of ZSJ's team?

Recently, Yu Zheng was seen promoting the hat from ZSJ's brand. (Photos from bluebird and QV)

It's worth noting that Yu Zheng doesn't seem to like ZZH very much. He interacted with a ZZH anti and implied that it's ZZH fault Zhao Ge did not air. So why is Yu Zheng promoting "ZZH's" brand if he doesn't even like him?

The person Yu Zheng interacted with literally has the username 'zzh liar' and is an active ZZH anti.

And for those who don't know what Zhao Ge is, it's the show where Yu Zheng asked ZZH to come back for additional shoots while he was still recovering from his knee injury. This is widely understood to be the reason why ZZH's knee was messed up for good. More details here.

Zhao Ge was already running into problems way before 813. The script had a lot of elements that likely got it into trouble with the censors, plus in December 2020 more than a hundred industry folks signed a letter calling for a boycott against Yu Zheng and another person for being notorious plagiarists and all around shitty human beings. If it's not the script that sank Zhao Ge's chances of airing, then it's Yu Zheng's awful reputation as a plagiarist amongst his peers. Even before 813, the chances of Zhao Ge airing were not looking good.

Yu Zheng was brought to court by Taiwanese author and producer Qiong Yao for plagiarizing one of her novels, and a Beijing court later ruled in her favor. He was ordered to pay her millions. So you know...Yu Zheng is quite literally a criminal. That along with the script is probably why Zhao Ge will never see the light of day. ZZH should actually be the angry one here because his knee was pretty much ruined forever just for a shitty drama that will never even air.

A document that was circulated amongst ZZH fans last year and associated with him can also be linked back to a lawyer that once worked on Yu Zheng's legal counsel. Coincidence? Maybe. But it's interesting how many times his name comes up in relation to ZSJ.

And this is just personal speculation but I wonder if Yu Zheng was pissed when ZZH blew up after he was no longer within his management, and he could no longer reap the benefits of ZZH's fame for himself. Remember during the WOH concert ZZH mentioned that a lot of old friends suddenly came up to him after WOH's success, asking for all sorts of favours and whatnot, and then him apologizing for not being able to attend to them all. Looking back on that, it's interesting that a lot of people involved in the scam had more or less a connection with ZZH in the past. The Chens from the teashop, Xie Yihua, Zhang Su, Xiao Chu Nada, etc. And now Yu Zheng.

So yeah this is it. Yu Zheng's involvement with ZSJ was the last piece of the mystery behind the compromised IG account.

Characters: Brawl (& Onslaught - IDW)

Word count: 1.6K

If there was one thing Brawl loved, it was taking it easy with a bit of engex to end the night.

Rehabilitation wasn’t exactly one of his New Year’s resolutions, but if it meant getting to recline in a comfy chair while he knocked back a few dozens cans of the cheap stuff, he would take it. Their rise and fall from the Decepticons had been messy enough as is, and he wasn’t about to let such a golden opportunity go to waste.

It was him and his engex cans against the world for the night, and in that moment, the world was a tipsy Combaticon leader.

Drinking a bit here and there was good for the soul, Brawl always said. Sure, he’d fattened up over the years, and yeah, his belly hung like a nice hefty dome that entered the room long before he ever got there (according to Vortex, at least), but he liked it. A big belly and an even bigger body meant snuggling up with his mates and watching some old scrap on a human television, or packing away pounds of fuel at a time on the off-chance that they got to go out to feast.

Onslaught had been making small comments here and there since they’d started drinking, but the tank didn’t exactly mind. He got to be quite the snooze fest when the booze hit him, after all, and he was far too busy rubbing the mesh of his belly full of beer when Onslaught finally opened his mouth and began to speak—really speak, that is.

“The Combaticons are struggling as it is,” his leader had said, his fingers tapping the can in his servos as his knee bounced. There was a sigh, then a gulp of engex, then, “I just don’t know how you do it Brawl.”

“Er…” Brawl paused, giving his helm a scratch. “Whatcha mean, boss?”

He wasn’t the sharpest tool in the shed, that was for sure. Even so, years spent enduring just about everything by Onslaught’s side had taught him plenty about his leader. He could tell when the Con needed a bit of space, but he could also tell when he needed a bit of prodding.

Onslaught visibly searched for the words, his voice catching in his throat. Beside him, Brawl crushed his empty can in one servo and tossed it into the trash, then reached for another and popped the tab.

“It’s complicated,” his leader began, the words slipping through between the sound of Brawl’s servo scratching the mesh of his belly and the guzzle of engex. “You hold the team together so easily.”

The tank tilted his helm, his servo stilling, his guzzling paused. There was silence for a moment, but he risked the obvious statement in the air.

“You’re our leader, Ons,” he said. “‘course I’m gonna do what I can to help out and stuff.”

Onslaught gave little for him to go off of, having fallen back into silence. The mood almost broody, like one of Blast Off’s frequent bouts of grouchy avoidance. Given that half the time their team was either snuggled up to Brawl’s big, warm frame or rolling their optics at Onslaught’s commands, and that literally nothing had changed from that dynamic, the tank couldn’t exactly understand the issue.

He drank his beer, and Onslaught joined. He got to indulge in a nice, sloshy belly full of engex, and Onslaught got to sit and air his grievances to the one mech who was just enough of a presence to listen. Blast Off was great for the role, of course, but when the two weren’t even on speaking terms…

Brawl inspected his half-empty can before throwing his helm back and draining it in one go. A few satisfactory pats to the well of his belly followed crushing the can and tossing it into the bin, and Brawl only lasted a few seconds in contented silence before he was releasing a loud, deep rumble of a belch.

“Uuuuurrrup! Mmm.. ‘scuse me,” he said between the pats at his belly and a chuckle. “Better out than in, yeah? The gas and the bad stuff, I mean.”

He leaned forward for another can, grubby fingers clawing the air as he struggled to reach. Reclining back and slouching did little to help him, as the mass of his gut lay heavy in his lap, pinning him in place. To his relief, Onslaught merely shook his helm and chuckled in return.

“Let me save you the trouble,” he said, leaning forward with ease to search for a can that hadn’t been emptied already. By the looks of Brawl’s belly and the slur of his words, it likely wasn’t many. “I’d call it a night if I were you, but I know how you get.”

Brawl nodded his thanks, happy to go back to reclining and giving his belly the room to breathe. He was the epitome of comfortable, slouched in his seat and rubbing his free servo over the bloated mesh as he chugged away. The near-final can was accepted with gratitude, but the contents hardly lasted more than a minute before being chugged down.

“Can’t pass up the chance to kick back and relax,” he said, stifling another belch behind the lip of his can. “Oof… ‘scuse me again, heh.”

“Just be sure not to overdo it,” Onslaught warned between chuckles. “I need you all awake and alert come morning. We’ve got that progress report due, remember?”

“You got it boss,” Brawl said with a salute. His belly jiggled with the movement, earning a snicker from the both of them. “Don’t you worry, come morning you’ll hardly guess I was drinkin’ and chattin’.”

“If you insist,” Onslaught retorted, his smirk playful as he leaned in and gave Brawl’s belly a poke. “Can’t have my finest soldiers bloated on the job, now, can we?”

The chuckles from his leader persisted as his servo went from poking at the jiggly mesh of Brawl’s belly to openly petting it, and despite his intoxication, the poor tank couldn’t stop himself from feeling a little… surprised. Affection was far from unheard of between the Combaticon mates, but he could count on one servo the amount of times Onslaught had ever been openly affectionate with him.

The servo was soft and warm against his belly, and he could almost see Onslaught’s amusement morph into contemplation in real time. There wasn’t much chance to broach the subject, however, and as soon as Brawl had begun to comment on the way Onslaught seemed so enamored with his belly full of beer, his leader was yanking his servo away.

“Sorry,” he said, quick to look everywhere but at Brawl’s raised visor and confused frown. “I’m sorry, that was uncalled for.”

“No paint off my plating,” Brawl shrugged. “Tex and Swindle do it all the time—even Blast Off if I’m lucky. Kinda nice, right?”

It was like his very own water balloon—but in his belly. With a big frame and full tanks, who could resist? Onslaught, apparently.

“Well, yes,” Onslaught stammered, his servo rubbing nervously over the back of his mech. “I got carried away. Forgive me, I didn’t mean to, ah… ahem. Anyways, I—I believe I should be calling it a night.”

….right. Onslaught had come here to talk, not to snuggle up and drink with him all night long. He was still their leader, after all, and that barrier was snugly set in place.

Brawl tried to ignore his disappointment and instead reach out to offer his leader a firm pat on the shoulder. Onslaught accepted it without hesitation, and even returned the favor with his signature nod, signaling that their little spark-to-spark was over… if it could even be called that.

Progress, it was. Not everyone wanted to be as cozied up as he tended to be, even if he was feeling as tipsy like Onslaught so obviously looked—and acted.

“So…” he began, watching as Onslaught stood and steadied himself against the armrest. “Same time tomorrow night then, boss? I’ll have the engex chilled, just the way you like it.”

He had expected a bit of laughter, or a quick nod, same as always. Instead, Brawl merely received a shy shrug and the aversion of Onslaught’s gaze.

“Yeah,” his leader said, sounding distracted. He paused in heading off to his quarters to turn and reach for the last unopened can of the night, then passed it over to the tank. “I’ll keep you posted. Thanks for listening, Brawl… and for the drinks.”

“Yep,” Brawl nodded. “Anytime, Ons. You just say the word.”

Going by the flush of his cheeks and his rush to leave, Brawl could tell that things were probably going to get a lot less cozy between them moving forward. That was all right, though. He didn’t mind, not a bit. As long as there was engex flowing and his boss around to keep him company, he was as happy a Combaticon as they came.

He popped the tab of the last can of the evening and took a sip, his optics closing in bliss. There was nothing he savored more than a can or thirty of cheap engex to fill up his belly. He was kicking it back, taking it easy, and he loved it. The engex was cool against his tongue and warm in his tanks, and the cushions were oh so soft against his frame as he relaxed and rubbed away at the gurgle of his belly.

Maybe it wasn’t the same, now that he’d felt the tender touch of Onslaught’s servo against his mesh, but it would do. Tomorrow, perhaps, they could talk some more… over a couple of glasses of engex, of course.

Shidou's birthday timeline convo

Kazui: Hey, you know… aren’t kids good to have? Don’t you have two yourself, Shidou-kun? ‘Cause I could never. For some reason, I’m sort of longing for that. Shidou: Yes, they’re great, and that’s no exaggeration. Even if they aren’t your own child, don’t you think it’s nice to have some kind of connection to the future? If you’re able to leave behind something for them in your own life, Then I think there’s meaning in having been born. And that, that is hope. Kazui: You really are admirable. I can’t help but find it dazzling. …but, I guess I can kind of understand. Sometimes I get oddly sentimental, thinking that my existence is nothing but adding one more person to the population of the earth, then taking that one person away. I guess that being able to do something for the bad kids here would be the same kind of hope that Shidou-kun said. But I feel that I won’t be able to do it. Shidou: …haha. I’ll ask you for a favour, Mukuhara-san. Please, protect the children. Oh because none of these timeline conversations are ominous in the slightest, nope. Seems like Kazui is again being set up as a "protector" of sorts, being both the oldest and also better with the kids than Shidou is. Shidou seems like he's implying that he won't be able to "protect the children", does he think that Amane or someone else is going to hurt him? Or, does he realise that he's too blinded by his own grief to see the younger prisoners as themselves and not a living reminder of his own family? A while ago I made a comment where I said that Shidou looked like he was heading in the direction of depressed god/saviour complex, with his focus on "saving" people (i.e, his patients, his family, the prisoners, at the expense of his own stability). I still think his character is heading in that direction, and in a way I think his mindset is kind of frozen in time. He's still stuck in his efforts to save his family, and I wonder if he's actually grieved them. Kazui, on the other hand, has a long history of pretending it's all fine and laughing it off, with him choosing to enter a relationship with Hinako, and then later (after a period of time where, I presume, he still didn't develop the feelings for her he thought he would) chose to marry her. Unlike Shidou, who's actions were driven by a desperate desire to protect his (genuinely, it seems) happy family life that fit in with Japanese societal standards, Kazui's tragedy was one that was of his own making. Years before Milgram, he chose to pretend to love someone, whereas Shidou had his family taken from him from an accident. Kazui saw this coming, that is to say, and is used to knowing that any sense of peace and happiness is either temporary or a lie. Shidou isn't used to it, but they both know what it's like to lie to someone you're obligated to care for, and chose to care for. ...I'm sure I started off with a point, but I've lost it.

hm okay like this is my take on the post-why did you drop out of yale rogan fight that no one asked for!! inspired by a tiktok i saw where the comments were all pro-logan but i digress. i digress. we start off w rory (RIGHTLY) calling logan out for being an absolute jerk to jess. which he was. and we all know it. logan, in typical huntzberger fashion, brushes it off + claims that writers are sensitive + that if jess wanted to, he should’ve “taken a pop at [logan]”. what is rlly funny 2 me abt this is that this is so so similar to what mitchum said to rory?? like mitchum dismissed rory in a really similar fashion to logan just dismissing jess’s accomplishments. and both have that air of oh-if-they-wanted-to-prove-me-wrong-they-could yk? idk i thought that was interesting. and then he ends all that by saying that rory shouldn’t let jess get to her. which. this is one of many many scenes that show truly just how incompatible rory and logan are, just because it’s been proved just time and time again that logan does not understand who rory is and also just doesn’t care. rory obv responds saying that logan is the one getting to her and that he was an ass. logan retorts saying that he’s sorry that he messed things up (but he’s obv not, when has that man ever been sorry in his life). this is kinda when we segue into rory’s underlying crisis with everything that’s happening. she calls logan out for mocking jess when he’s actually accomplished something amazing (logan saying everyone’s doing something like. lol what are you accomplishing exactly?? stole 2 yachts probably set a world record but like...that is rich coming from him), and goes on to say that she’s unhappy with her life bc she feels like she’s not doing anything. and as viewers we know that this is nowhere near the vision rory had for her life, and she’s so unhappy bc she doesn’t belong in the dar, she doesn’t belong in logan’s world, just partying her sadness away. rory is so deeply unhappy with where she is in life right now, and logan isn’t even listening to her he’s just telling her that it’s temporary and she should have a drink!! and this is again. just. such a good example of why they’re so so incompatible bc rory needs someone who is going to push her to be the best person she can be, someone who’s not going to take her shit and redirect her to who she actually is when it gets hard, not someone who’s just going to let her continue her self-destructive behavior just bc he’s doing all that too!!! like rory is spiraling and she’s at rock bottom in her life and logan has absolutely nothing to say until he feels like she’s criticizing him. like bro not everything is abt u sorry!!! she’s talking abt herself and logan comes at her when she wounds his pride a lil like...partying and drinking is not who rory is point blank!! and he just puts it all on her like yes it’s her choice to be partying and drinking but that’s also just. all he does and he knows it!! and rory says that and he just. launches into a monologue of self pity about the great huntzberger dynasty and how he’s being pushed through only one door and it’s like. rory is so right he doesn’t have a hard life he doesn’t know what it’s like to actually work for what you have. and yes i welcome the convo abt rory also having a lot of privilege but her privilege ≠ logan’s privilege at all!!! they’re very different!! but rory is so right in this scene bc we’ve never seen logan actually fight it. and logan has no aims!! no goals!! no passions!! he just wants to continue abusing his family’s wealth with no consequences!! like this is the only time u will see me agree w mitchum huntzberger but like. logan should be pushed thru that door bc he has no actual aims in life...and also like. logan saying that he gave rory a month is so absolutely useless bc he never once checks up on her. he never once comments ab how dropping out is uncharacteristic of her. never asks her if she’s doing alright??? no he just gives her a month like she’s going to fix herself and btw. yeah it did have smth to do w you!!! it had everything to do w you in fact...it was ur father that said all that shit that got in her head. and he never even disagreed w his dad btw. like god sometimes i wonder if logan ever even LIKED rory or just felt attracted to her bc she was the first girl who didn’t give him time of day like...he never once felt concern for her? when she dropped out of the school she worked so hard to get in to? like it’s wild to me truly. like even in this argument his main point is to absolve himself of any blame in rory’s dropping out/rory’s spiral. like there is no concern. he doesn’t care!!! his gf, the one he apparently loves sooo much, is spiraling and struggling and he does not give a fuck. he only shows any sort of emotion when she criticizes his lifestyle and when he feels like he’s to blame for her situation. like that says so much...

he's probably jealous. won't intervene unless you actually call him, but he gets jealous as hell.

stu distracts you a lot in the classes you share. he gets bored and tries to talk to you or throw you little notes if you don't sit together --- it's a miracle you're still passing your exams.

staying by his side during his parties, especially if you're not an extrovert. he always makes sure you're comfortable, and never forgets to give you attention.

i think stu would be a great boyfriend. with his flaws (& the murder tendencies & the homoerotic relationship with billy & the crazy amount of misoginy) but still a good one.

he'd probably run away from arguments, and he's bad at taking things seriously.

and never forget, stu is as manipulative as billy is. he won't hesitate to manipulate you if he must.

What can I say? Tangle & Whisper's mini-series had me by the balls. Can't wait to dive into the Metal Virus. In any case, here's a voice cast I've had in mind when reading the comic original characters:

"Christine Marie Cabanos as Tangle The Lemur" - Many fan casters tend to focus on Tangle as a sporty tomboy and think of a raspy voice not unlike Rainbow Dash or Amethyst. This isn't bad but I found myself thinking outside the box when I was revisiting Kill La Kill and its bombass dub at the time. Christine's Mako Makanshoku had just the kind of energy and cocksure that Tangle would have as a rookie to the Resistance.

Mind you, she would even out the pitch to sound closer to a young adult/older teen that the characters tend to (mostly) come across as but no less hyperactive like Mako when the moment calls for it. Additionally, Christine could dip more into her Madoka Kaname performance to capture her more emotional side, particularly when Whisper lets her in on what happened to the Diamond Cutters. It would make for a great range that toes the line just like Tangle has in terms of being somewhat obnoxious but not in a "Scrappy Doo" kind of way.

"Erica Mendez as Whisper The Wolf" - Erica would play her not too unlike her soft-spoken Retsuko (barring Heavy Metal scenes played by an actual Heavy Metal singer) but in a consistently hushed tone.
