yesterday on the way home there was a sudden slowdown on the freeway and a car almost ran into the back of our car at full freeway speed until he screeched into the thankfully empty lane beside us, it was terrifying to have me and my bf's lives in someone else's hands but im rlly glad that guy swerved out of the way in time because even if we lived through the crash thatd be a super gnarly and expensive healing process. it only hit me as i tried to sleep last night that my dinner, nap, doodling and casual scrolling could have not happened if not for a half second decision on that other driver. it was such a casually peaceful night that could so easily have been a traumatic shattering of our flesh and bone. my parents would have texted to the void.

anyway i hate our car dependent lifestyle and i cant work from home soon enough

#personalalala #makes me think of that one song that like #the only reason youre still alive is because someone has decided to let you live #that line just echoed in my mind as i tried to fall asleep #it was nuts #gets promotion- becomes mush #i bank so munch into the future. my plans are so future oriented it's scary #it was also nuts screeching to a halt then looking in the side mirror at a car coming at full speed toward you #all i could think was theyll slam into me and we'll be sandwiched between them and the car in front of us #and even if we fleed the car the impact would cause a car to roll onto us so theres literally no way to leave unscathed #if this guy doesnt swerve
