#Marvel#Marvel comics#Spider-Force#Scarlet Spider#Kaine#Kaine Parker#Spider-Woman#Ashley Barton#Jessica Drew#Spider-Kid#Charlie Parker#oh Kaine….you bona fide (if nonetheless self-sacrificial) son of a beaker#also the souls of Peter’s clones sure is an interesting and repeated theme huh?#There was the whole debacle with Ben’s soul#and even before that there was the slightly less overt fight for Kaine’s soul in Scarlet Spider (vol. 2/2012)#represented through the conflict with The Other#and in even more subtle ways like his developing mentor-sidekick relationship with Aracely and his exploration of redemption#through religion and Catholicism specifically#I guess I just find it interesting that Kaine readily accepts that his soul is not of the same caliber or perhaps condition as Peter’s#(if not absent all together) but he cops to still being plagued by a strong moral conscience#(which reveals that he /does/ have a soul no? even if he doesn’t feel comfortable admitting that he’s more than some murderous beast???)
