#im excited to get to the part of my fic where they talk about their respective father figures#bc ryuji Does Not Talk About his dad. he hates him plain and simple he doesn't really have fond memories associated with him that make#hatred more complicated. because his dad just hurt him and his mum and he hates that#whereas yusuke... yusuke and madarame is incredibly complicated#its like... yusuke doesn't realise hes being abused for a long time and when hes finally starting to realise he chooses to ignore that#and even after everything with his palace i do think he hates madarame but theres part of him that still looks up to him#still loves him even. he still feels like he owes him. yk.#but they're both so scared they're turning into their dads thats like. a fate worth than death#they both said it on various occasions#its really interesting#makes me wonder what theyd be like as adults if theyd want to be parents
