Watched The Host (2016) for the first time and I have some thoughts:

This soundtrack deserves a better movie

In concept it's.... not built for a visual medium. In the hands of a really really good author (not meyer) it could be interesting but. I assume the story was supposed to be Wanderer discovering the good in humans and their inherent worth despite their flaws? Which is fine and all but if I'm not in her head then I'm still coming from this as a human who already believes that so... Now I get to hear not enough of her thoughts on the matter and just sort of watch her stare at normal people being normal in a post-apocalyptic cave sanctuary.

I couldn't tell the male leads apart so I felt nothing for either of them. They barely had any personality to distinguish them and they were both conventionally attractive white guys. So if the movie was banking on the romance angle it failed hard.

Wanderer and Melanie had more chemistry than either of them with either of the boys. If it had been an enemies-to-lovers story with them the movie wouldn't have been good but I would have felt something positive while watching it.

In conclusion it's a really annoying movie that just makes me want to listen to Imagine Dragons

What's your view on Jacob's character in all of the books?

Okay I just want to say that I’m not a fan of Jacob so if you don’t want to read about it then don’t continue reading 

also i would appreciate it if people didn’t come at me for my opinion 

Twilight: I didn’t really see the point of his character here. Like he rebuilt the engine or whatever on the truck but the thing is that during this he is 15 so he wouldn’t even be able to drive it. And then we barely see him for the entire time so it didn’t give me a reason to like his character. Then at the end he accepts money to tell Bella to break up with her boyfriend? thats shitty to do. Besides you didnt have to wear a tie to do that 

New Moon: okay here I started to like him. His character got fleshed out and he became a friend that Bella needed. However once he shifted he became a major dick, and I just can’t get over it. Like even if Bella still had feelings for Edward that shouldn’t matter or not because Edward was gonna kill himself and I get he’s a vampire but he still deserves not to die because he feels guilty. Also don’t fucking answer the phone if it’s not your house. Also “he’s planning for a funeral” dick 

Eclipse: major dick alert to me. like first off shes over 18 so you shouldnt be forcing yourself on her bc thats illegal for you guys to have a relationship because youre only 16. and then youre gonna kiss her when she clearly doesnt want it? and say its better that she’s dead than a vampire? wow i thought y’all were best friends. aren’t best friends supposed to support each other? hmm guess you didnt get that memo. then basically attacking edward bc he cant keep her warm and basically use that to cuddle with her. thats a shitty thing to do. and then basically threatening to go off and die unless bella gave you a reason to stay. thats some shady shit 

Breaking Dawn: “last time i get to see you” bitch gtfo out of here with that bullshit. i dont care if youre her friend dont fucking attack edward bc she got pregnant bc no one freaking knew that was possible but whatever ig and just ? wow imprinting on a fucking baby just minutes after shes born …. thats gross… quil at least just wants to be Claire’s friend you basically are waiting for her to look grown so y’all can get together i swear you don’t know what dating someone your own age is because ugh also if bella fucking tells you not to name her after the loch ness monster then fucking listen to her because shes her mother but yeah hes a nice dude ig smeyer
