#in the history of wars human had done unimaginable feat or gone painstaking length and efforts to sack or undo obstruction#take for example the lost legions of varus and how romans eventually sacked masada#those 2 were the fruits of engineering and brute labor#not necessarily ingenious but they got the job done and the enemy could not do anything to prevent them except delaying or rematch#masada is a simpler story and outcome#romans built a giant wall & ramp over a year in order to reach the top#I’ve floated the idea before to divert dnipro north#I’ll stop floating my think tank idea there because the rest is about scope and capability#I float this idea because it cannot be done secretly#and diverting dnipro is really a method of obstructing enough to allow mechanized units to move large number of units without hazard#ukraine#russia#taiwantalk
