people being super loyal to and defensive over the human characters in the sonic movie is so weird to me. where was this defensiveness for chris thorndyke or the other kids in sonic x. at least he's got kind of an interesting and different idea to him than... tom. idk.

#i havent watched the new trailer yet uhhhh gimme like. an hour. i dont feel like clicking off the video im on rn #echoed voice #idk its weird to grow up with people absolutely despising sonic x for having humans in it and calling it stupid and cliche and repetitive #and then the movies basically do the same thing but people drop and fawn over the humans there and insist those problems arent there #and dgmw i dont HATE the human stuff in the movies. but it definitely overstays its welcome #and the main human protag is just kinda annoying and generic to me #i like the movies ftr i have fun with them and like them. but like #idk i am confused... what do people see in tom #it cant just be ''oh hes sonics adopted dad!!!!'' right? like. theres more to him than that. right?#(tbf i dont like his actor so thats probably a huge thing here but still)
