❝ Audrey Beiste was absolutely no stranger to bullying or how cruel other people could be. Having lived with her aunt Shannon, known to most others as Coach Beiste, since she was seven and her father had gone to jail, she had always known very well what other people thought of her and the only family she really had. She had heard people mocking her aunt for the way she looked and sounded, calling her every single mean name in the book and, when it was adults who were doing the insulting, only smiling condescendingly when young Audrey had attempted to stick up for her auntie. And Audrey herself was no stranger to taunts and insults, either; she’d been being bullied for her size since she could remember, mocked with loud pig snorts or yelled suggestions to eat a salad almost every time she walked down the school halls.

She’d never let it affect her, however, at least not the cruel words directed at her; Audrey was the kind of person to always choose kindness and sunshine, and she did her best to honor that principle, constantly having a sweet smile on her face and a positive comment on her lips, even when those around her rolled their eyes at it and went right back to insulting her. The only pain or anger she ever allowed herself to show, outside of defending her aunt against people who were old enough to know better than to be so rude, was in the pages of her songwriting notebook, in the lyrics she spent most of her free time jotting down and singing out loud to make sure they sounded right. She put her pain into those lyrics and kept the notebook that housed them close to her heart, knowing in her soul that one day she would turn them into actual songs that could be used to prove wrong all the bullies that had told her she would never amount to anything.

When her aunt decides to take a job offer to coach a struggling football team in Ohio, Audrey hopes for a fresh start, a place where she and her aunt can begin again away from those who tormented them. But her illusions of the grass being greener in Lima are quickly shattered when she starts attending McKinley High - a fatphobic word painted on her new locker and a slushy in her face ruining one of her favorite sweaters will do that to a person. Desperately trying to find a place where she can be free of judgement, Audrey auditions to join the school’s glee club, and there she finds a great deal of drama and divas, but also a group of people who love music as much as she does and who accept her as she is, because they’re all freaks in the eyes of the rest of the school, after all.

However, it’s also there that Audrey quickly develops a crush on one Finn Hudson, an awkward football player with a heart of gold, and the first boy who’s ever called Audrey pretty. But of course, there’s also the issue of Finn already having a girlfriend as well as a complicated relationship with his cheerleader ex, and anyway, someone like him would never go for someone like Audrey, even if they’re part of the same chaotic, unusual found family… right? ❞

Well friends, apparently Tumblr thinks ctrl+z means "delete everything in my post", so instead of a rambling account of how life has stymied me from writing this year so far, and how I'm feeling overwhelmed by my dwindling chapter buffer for A Dangerous Affinity, you're just going to get some words. This section includes the not a spoiler news that Baz and Simon do eventually make out in this story. If you're surprised, you haven't been paying attention. It also includes an allusion to the fact, never explicitly mentioned in the text, that Baz Pitch is a diva who wears button fly raw denim at the Scholomance. (Pro tip for other humans with bodies, Button flies are actually hugely practical when your body size is not consistent over time.)

“Want to do a snack bar run?” I ask. “I’m famished.”  Baz lifts his hair back from his face where it’s slipped over his cheek and is falling against my neck. “Sure.”  He stands. He’s so long, so lean, so many beautiful parts making up the overwhelming whole. He straightens his shirt, shakes out his hair, buttons the top button of his jeans. (“Don’t get any ideas, Snow,” he’d said when he unbuttoned it. “It’s just for range of motion.”) (I may have gotten a few ideas.)  “Coming?” he says. And yes, I was distracted from the initial plan. Who could blame me? My outfit requires a lot less re-assembly. I take Baz’s hand after I close the door behind us.

The upper rank moons but as Ninjago villains:

Muzan Kibutsuji: Overlord- since he is some how the first village in ninja and one of the most powerful.

Kokushibo- Garmadon since he is very powerful, but ruined his cool version in Chrystalize. I prefer the old one since it was better for me. He and the Overlord were some kinds of business partners so yeah. And have daddy issues and a big brother who that everything is better than them and is good.

Doma: I think Nadakhan should be the best option since both him and Doma were attracted to their female enemy Nya and Shinibo. And they both had a lost love Delara and Kotoha (Inosuke’s mother). And they are pretty much cruel and likes female and they gave me both the same attractive but creepy energy. They are hot as hell.

Akaza: Morro. Since like Akaza, Morro wanted to be powerful and was outcast. The destiny to both of them gave them a cruel joke. And all they wanted to be and loved was taken from them. Like the green tittle and Koyuki (Akaza’s fiancé), but they were taken away from dead. For the green ninja Wu is the one to blame that Morro might have been the chosen one but as he died the destiny chose Lloyd.

Hantengu: I think honestly I don’t know who will suit to be Hantengu.

Nakime: Harumi since they both are quit one and actually are pretty strong and loyal to their leader like Harumi to Garmadon and Nakime to Muzan.

Gyokko: Gyokko gives me so much Chen vibes like the style saying look at me, I’m a star. And how much they like attention and that some kind of childish behavior.

Daki and Gyatoro: Acronix and Kruz. Kruz should be Gyatora since they are more responsible and powerful and smarter. Acronix should be Daku because they are divas and childish and some kind depended on their big brothers. And they protect each other.

What a mix! This captures me super well. Few stand out notes:

Symphony of Boreal Wind is a fucking banger of a boss battle theme. It's one of my favorite songs from Genshin Impact and I listen to it all the time.

I'm so happy a vocaloid song ended up in the mix. Kokoro is iconic and despite having fucked up lyrics (as most of the best vocaloid songs do), it triggers fond memories of late nights at anime conventions and arcades in Japan playing Project Diva. (If you understand any of what I'm saying, we are now friends for life.)

It only makes sense that a song from the Empire Records soundtrack shows up (I have been actively listening to this album since high school) and The Ballad of El Goodo is a good one.

I don't listen to as much kpop these days as I used to, but Love Scenario is a vibe and the only song from iKON I care about.

❝ To be perfectly clear, Bailey had not wanted to move to Lima. Sure, she’d been thrilled when her dad had gotten his newest promotion - he’d been working really hard for it, and besides, it came with a huge pay raise that would hopefully be able to go towards the car Bailey had been hoping to get for her sixteenth birthday. But she had been significantly less excited to hear that with the promotion came the responsibility of opening and managing a new branch of the company her dad worked for, meaning that the Taylors would have to move from Austin to a tiny nowhere town in Ohio, where the new branch was located.

Still, Bailey could content herself with the fact that their new house in Lima was still a decent size, she wound up getting the car she’d wanted before her birthday as something of a sorry-we-uprooted-your-life gift, and best of all, everyone at McKinley High, her new school, really seemed to like her. Granted, it was probably just because she was a pretty new girl with money, nice clothes, and a “cute” Southern accent, but she was perfectly willing to enjoy the attention of McKinley’s cheerleaders and athletes, all of whom seemed to want to sit with her at lunch and invite her to their parties.

Until she tells off a football player in defense of the cool (and kind of cute) Goth girl from her English class, receiving a slushy to the face and immediately being bumped a long way down McKinley High’s social ladder. Now just as much of an outcast as the girl she stood up for, Bailey decides to follow through on an offer she had been presented - to join the school glee club, the New Directions. After all, in this group she’ll be among her fellow misfits, and she’s always enjoyed singing. Why not hang out after school and do it for fun and a little competition?

But in becoming the club’s newest member, Bailey gets much more than she bargained for. Between constant bickering from the group’s three main divas, attempts at sabotage and verbal abuse from a wacked-out cheerleading coach, and even developing feelings for that Goth girl from English who’d suggested she join New Directions in the first place, Bailey is beginning to think that living in Lima won’t be half as boring as she first thought.

Which might, potentially, be a good thing. If she doesn’t wind up in jail for murdering Sue Sylvester or Rachel Berry first. ❞

Esta noche, Jolin interpretó nuevas canciones tales como "電話皇后 Phony Queen", "愛上了一條街 Love That Street", "單身公害 Singleness" y, la más esperada de todas, "花蝴蝶 Butterfly".

Durante el ACT IV – INNOCENT MINDS 純真, Jolin y su equipo rindieron un homenaje a la ciudad de Chengdu al vestir a los Dancers de panda, especie emblema de la ciudad antes mencionada. Durante el ACT VI – HEROIC EMERGENCE 內在英雄, Jolin volvió a interpretar "花蝴蝶 Butterfly", la cual no había sido interpretada desde el 2015-2016 Play World Tour Live con nuevos arreglos musicales a cargo de Starr Chen y una nueva coreografía por Kiel Tutin, in-house choreographer en esta gira. Asimismo, durante el ‘talking’ Jolin mencionó que este sería la última fecha del Ugly Beauty World Tour para este año (2023), sin confirmar si esta seguiría durante el 2024. Cabe resaltar que Jolin es la artista principal para el 2023 CCURRENTT supported by Live Nation que se llevará a cabo en las ciudades de Londres, Sídney y Los Ángeles durante octubre a diciembre.
