if early humans had the ability the travel between realms due to there being more leaks from titan blood being more abundant before it decayed, and if the origin of witches were just early humans who had gone through these leaks and decided to live on the isles and then decided the demons who already lived there were actually kinda hot, then its entirely possible that there WERE early humans who could harness the magic of the isles while in the human realm if they stayed close to the rifts/leaks.

obviously not to the same effect that modern witches do, as they had not yet evolved bile sacs due to prolonged exposure to the raw magic from the titans blood, but i LOOOOVE the idea of luz being in history class and learning about early cave paintings and recognizing the glyphs. seeing them etched into history forever. seeing the evidence that there WERE others who learned the language and who spoke it and celebrated it and who lived in both realms for the short time they could.
